Pros: We loved our stay at the Brightwood Inn. It was cozy, beautiful, and the room + grounds are gorgeous! Breakfast was delicious and the hosts are very helpful. Will stay again!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very good with enough variety that it worked even for my husband, who is a very picky eater! It was really close to two state parks that we went to visit. The location was quiet and scenic.
Cons: The only thing that I could even think of was the fact that there wasn't an elevator and our room was on the second floor. It was only an issue when we checked in and out and had to carry our suitcase up the stairs. We just hadn't thought of it so it was unexpected.
7.9 Good
Pros: I need to review my billing as I think I was over billed.
Cons: Too far away from things, i.e., shopping, movies, etc.

Cons: Very basic...but thats all we needed. We were there for a wedding st Starved Rock Lodge and didnt want to drive home. It was 10 mi ute drive fromthe Lodge. The price was great. It was clean and staff was very friendly. There happened to be a boil order the night we were there...the staff made sure there was plenty of bottled water available to guests at no charge. There was a full HOT breakfast included. There would have been more hot food...but thry weren't able to make everything due to boil order, there was still plenty if options. I would definitely stay there again.

6.5 Good
Pros: The hotel was great. Check in was quick and easy. The hair dryer in our room did not work. I went to the front desk and was told they would bring me a new one. Within minutes someone was up there and had it fixed. Rooms were comfy.
Cons: The view from our balcony was overlooking a messy area. We decided to have dinner at the restaurant. We got there at 8 and there were only a few people in the bar area. We ordered food and it took about 40 minutes (we just ordered a pizza). We were in no hurry but it would have been nice to be told sorry for the wait but your food is coming. Not sure what happened. We ordered two drinks to take up to our hotel room and paid the bill. It turned out the bar ran out of what we ordered. I asked them to be removed from my bill. I was told nothing could be done because I had already paid. I know this is not true. The bartender was just being lazy and didn’t want to find her manager. I would just avoid the restaurant and head to downtown and support those bars and restaurants.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Charming facility. Needs new carpet but we understand they are improving. Overall enjoyed. Breakfast wasn't the best.
Cons: Breakfast was stale.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My 9 year old fell and scratched his arm and chin. The lifeguard supervisor came and checked him out comforting him and made things a lot easier for him to handle. I really appreciated her!
Cons: no complaints

Pros: Location, activities on site (waterpark, mini golf, etc)
Cons: The rooms need to be updated. At least the mattresses and bedding. Our mattresses were so old that they were yellowed and super soft. Thought I was going to roll onto the floor as a side sleeper.
7.1 Good
Pros: Staff was nice . Everything else was good.
Cons: The heat wasn't working in the room so they fixed it why we were out of it . By the time we got back it was fixed but they had turned it up so high that you could barely breath. Other than that it was nice.

Pros: Just happy to get away from home ( la salle )

Pros: Pleasantly surprised by the immaculate cleanliness of the room. The furnishings were also nice, bed comfortable.
Cons: There were some repairs that had been made that were done in the best workmanship but that was minor.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable. And the pillow was firm to hold me head. A good sleep.
Cons: Nothing
6.2 Good
Pros: Great Price. Bed comfortable. Good location across from Restaurant within 7 miles from
Cons: Is a little bit run. We were given a key to an occupied room on first attempt.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Like going back in time
4.2 Okay
Cons: Room was located in the poorest section of motel. Room lacked adequate furniture. Bathroom was in need of major repairs.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: The affordable price for a locally owned establishment.
Cons: The cleanliness or lack of to be honest. There was mold all over the back of the TV. As well as bed bugs in the sheets which I have pictures. I addressed this to the manager/owner and he asked if we wanted new sheets... I replied no and even offered to stay in another room but he said nothing was available and offered me half reimbursement. We were there for less than 2 hours and it cost me 30.00 which is not a big deal. But when I mentioned reporting him to the health dept. he couldn't care aless. Thad saddens me from a local operated facility. We left and went back home but will never stay there again under any circumstances.
