Cons: Parts of the meal were quite simple, like the yogurt and fruit appetizer. Also, the rooms were quite close to each other, so not a lot of privacy.

Pros: They had an unexpected and nice breakfast. Plenty of food and prevented me from having to go purchase breakfast. Bacon, eggs, bagels, yogurt, cereal, the normal type of hotel breakfast.
The staff was very friendly, even getting in late(1AM).
Appeared to be best cost vs benefits/quality in the area.
Cons: The gym area was closed down. Not a huge negative but a treadmill is always nice to have.
The only other complaint would be there seemed to be cigarette smoke wafting into the hallway. I am confident it was from people smoking outside and coming into the windows. That isn't the hotels fault but unfortunate people decide to smoke too near the building.
Pros: Gracious and helpful staff
Cons: Fitness center was neglected
Rooms are in desperate need of remodeling
Pros: Bottled water, and snacks such as chips and cookies appeared in the lobby for us every day.
Continental breakfast was good with many choices, and like the change on different days.
Computer available for guests, including printing documents.
Pros: The accommodations were wonderful. The room was perfectly laid out for our convenience. The people at the desk were very knowledgeable and helpful.
Cons: We liked everything and will stay there again if we are ever in Oak Harbor in the future.
Pros: Staff were great. Having coffee 24 hrs day was great and the breakfast was really good. Rooms were clean. No complaints
Cons: The entry door didn't fit correctly we could totally see outside thru a separation in the door and framing.
Pros: Rooms were updated and clean. Easy to get to. Pleasant stay.
Cons: Room had a bit of a musty smell
Pros: Staff were very friendly
Cons: Breakfast was mediocre. Food was frequently depleted and/or cold and you had to wait for attendant to refill the pans. The sweet rolls in the cellophane containers were not fresh and were more or less generally soggy.
Pros: The free breakfast was great!!
Cons: problems with the toilet, kept us up because it was running all night. However, they were on top of it to fix it.
Pros: Room was in great shape, everything we needed was there. Beds were comfortable and room was pleasant.
Cons: The only improvement I'd suggest would be concerning the breakfast offered. The options were great, but the hot items (scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, potatoes) were bland and left me wanting for a little more attention put into them.
Pros: The fresh cookies on check-in were delicious, the staff also went out of their way to provide a breakfast bag for the following morning as we were leaving at the crack of dawn prior to their normal breakfast time to run the local Whidbey Island Marathon.

Judge Still’s Tavern is located on site at the Inn Captain Whidbey, and is open Wednesday through Sunday, 12:00 to 21:00. The Port Townsend Ferry is less than 20 minutes’ drive from the property. Port Townsend is 1 hours’ drive away.
Pros: We needed a clean and comfortable place to crash after a long day of hiking and beaches, and that's what we found at the Acorn Inn.
Cons: It would be nice to have two pillows per guest. Overall, this stay met our needs.
I would be amiss if I didn't mention the most shady place to park on the lot is in the northwest corner near some shrubs. Plan on taking your vehicle to the car wash if you choose to park here, however, as the seagulls conduct their morning business directly above. (Part of the PNW charm, of course)
Pros: Complimentary breakfast (bakery and coffee), free internet access, good price for a 2-queen room, convenient location for visiting Whidbey island.
Cons: Nothing really. It is perfectly fine.
Pros: The Acorn was spotlessly clean and neat. The staff was friendly, helpful and the price was very reasonable. I booked online so I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Acorn exceeded my expectations (based on reviews), sight unseen. Our stay for 3 nights was comfortable, clean and affordable. The Acorn is comparable to local chain hotels minus the frills such as hair dryer, swimming pool, fitness room and lavish continental breakfast. If these amenities are a "must" during your stay then it is best to book a local chain hotel as opposed to a motor inn. Additionally, the Acorn's location was convenient to sightseeing on the island since we were attending a wedding in Freeland. There are several excellent restaurants nearby where we had delightful meals. I will definitely stay at the Acorn Motor Inn when we return to Whidbey Island in the future.
Cons: Be advised that while it didn't inconvenience us, some patrons were put off that there was no elevator at the motor inn which meant that they had to carry their luggage up a flight of stairs. We are an active mature couple so this fact did not bother us and it wasn't a problem.
The managers, Gladys and Mitchell were very nice via phone and in person. We had trouble reaching them initially because Priceline sent us information that was completely out of date and the initial person I reached stated Priceline had been giving out same out of date information for approx. 6 months! When I reported the plumbing problems to the manager after our one night stay, he said they had spent a great deal of money trying to fix those problems and was surprised they weren't fixed. I was surprised that he didn't KNOW whether or not they were fixed and also felt some kind of recompense would have been appropriate. The building is for sale and it's hard to imagine the list of repairs a new owner will insist upon. The building is tired. It is also NOT accessible for someone unable to climb steep stairs. Overall, however, Coupeville is a splendid place and the Inn gave us a credit to use at the Knead and Feed and I highly recommend eating there! We were happy not to have to drive off island for a place to stay after wedding and lots of wine even with the problems.
Pros: The location and the staff person who met us to orient us. Priceline did send incorrect information re manager, phone and fax which made it difficult to connect with the proper staff, however.
Cons: Very hot water came out of both taps at the bathroom sink. The toilet was plugged and we had to use the bathroom down a steep flight of stairs that belonged to the restaurant below.
