Excellent location. Good value for money. Very spacious and comfortable room. Own parking lot. Free WiFi. No air conditioning. In July the temperature is quite high and it was hard to sleep in the heat. The breakfast didn't have any vegetables.
Only available hotel in Waldkraiburg. Very nice and friendly staff. Efforts made for a decent accomodation Concrete walls and excesively heated rooms
Kind and helpful staff. A misunderstanding in our reservation resulted in a free upgrade to a suite, which was clean and comfortable, with a double sink in the bathroom and a great shower (not always the case in Germany!). The breakfast buffet was small but sufficient, with good, personal service. Just down the street there is an authentic Italian restaurant owned and operated by an Italian...
It is a beautiful, peaceful site where it is possible to relax with excellent amenities. No
Slow service in Dining room
the friendliness and proffessionalism of the staff. the location. the food. everything exceeded expecation
location on lake chiemsee and the ability to go from the hotel to the lake for a swim. Good outdoor breakfast which is included in the price. Hotel is aged, it claims 4 stars but it needs to refurbished and is lost in a time warp of classic olde worlde Bavarian/Tyrolean design which doesnt work in a lake setting. Access to the lake is very small and not comfortable. Excessive development of the yacht marina has choked off the lake from the hotel. The art in the hotel is appalling, cheap quasi-African oils for sale, again not befitting an upmarket hotel. In general, many of the hotels on Lake Chiemsee and Bavaria in general are stuck in their old design format of checked fabrics, heavy furniture and bad design. I live nearby so I know what I am writing about compared to Italy, Spain or France
Relaxed but efficient, rooms well apointed, dining and wine list great. Good value for money in a lovely region.
Attentive staff, excellent facilities and location. Outdated, it needs a soft renovation. Bad wireless reception in room, reception signal should be improved.
Generally helpful staff, especially the host, accessible restaurant, beautiful views, comfortable room. My internet connection in the room was shaky and the hosts did not seem to know how to turn on the English keyboard for th internet.
The location on the water, the rooms, the great , kind helpful service, and all the recreation.
The location is beautiful and a good starting point for a lot of day trips to other interesting places in Bavaria or Austria like Salzburg, Berchtesgaden, Königssee, Zell am See, Kitzbühel etc. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. The wash rooms had no ventilation and when we had a shower the floor got a little flooded since the curtain did not close fully.
Great restaurant and service. nothing
We were 1 adult and 2 children when I booked in the internet there was no space for booking a triple roomm but it said I could paid extra (30 euros) for a bed for a child. The hotel wanted to charge me around 400 euros more for a suite to place the third bed.
The staff was incredibly nice and always willing to help! This was much more than you could expect. Even the fodd was surprisingly good!
Attentive owner/chef was friendly and helpful, and spoke English. In the adjoining restaurant, he took time to translate and elaborate on every item on the German-only menu. The restaurant offered tasty gourmet cooking in a quaint romantic setting. A small, free parking lot is located in front of the hotel/restaurant. Directly across the parking lot is a convenient Penny market for groceries and snacks. The hotel is a good overnight stopping point for Chiemsee visitors and it was convenient to have a breakfast nook/table with benches in our bedroom. An outdoor dining patio directly overlooks into the windows on one wall of our second floor bedroom. Furnishings are a bit dated.
The excellent atmosphere created by the hosts and the pure Bavarian style.
Free car park, helpful and friendly staff, breakfast was better than average for hotels in this price range. bedroom and bath small but common in hotels in Europe.
The view from the room. The staff wasn't pleasant and helpful and they do not speak English. Breakfast was very poor for a 3 star hotel.
Rode boats and visited castle
Room, parking (free of charge), hotel staff, location, meal
food, full fridge and cheep drinks
Friendly considerate staff during a spell of poor winter weather. The hotel was warm, the room spotless, bathroom excellent. Staff cleared 150mm of snow from the car park and my car before I left. I would go there again and recommend it. The setting would be wonderful in summer. An unpleasant smell from the bathroom drains which disappeared once the water traps were in use. I booked a double bed but received two singles pushed together. We were too tired after a long drive to bother and had a good sleep!
The owner of the hotel was very gracious. The restaurant has a nice menu and their fish especially the fresh caught and smoked ones were a treat. The breakfast buffet was generous and the service prompt. The hotel is a 1/2 hour walk to the harbor where you catch the various ships to the islands. The walk to the town is about 1 hour. It is best to have a car when staying at this hotel.
The hotel is very good, especially the restaurant.Very good fish from Chiemsee.
Close to highway and the boat dock to Herren Cheimsee
The restaurant is excellent - so good that we dined there twice in a three night stay
There was a bad smell from cows that come through the window of my room which should be kept cloded. Furthermore, the hotel is a little far away from the city center and the staff does not speak english very well.
We wanted to stay in Prien because we know people who live nearby, in Rimsting. The hotel was in a nice location, and the room was clean and suitable for our needs. A baby cot was provided, and I appreciated the refrigerator to store my medicine. We also appreciated being able to use the computer and internet by the front desk at no charge. No.
very comfortable in all respects.Excellent breakfast . could be 10 euro cheaper -would be fairer
Very good hotel with local tasty dishes in restourant. Location is excelent for the rest on Chemsee: just in front of piers. Free Wi-Fi in the rooms and free parking are great advantages.
The Hotel is perfect .Restuarant open all day.Locate at the port to the insel.Breakfast is wonderful.Bakery at the cafe is yummy and cheap.
We found the hotel to be charming, convenient, comfortable and very accesible to the castle. We ound it to be one of our favorite hotel stays on our triip.
free use internet, parking and location
This hotel was great for the location in Prien. Great value and breakfast. Attached to a confectionary which was great. Walking distance to the boat to go to Herrenchiemsee palace
Outstanding food service; good selection of dishes You will never get to catch any receptionist at the reception, day & night. They are not friendly & helpful if at all. No privacy preserved. Room service will just bust into your room at about any time even in case the do not disturb sign displayed.
A good clean hotel in a good location. It was not informed that Tuesday is Ruhtag (their day off), so when I arrived around 19:30 the reception was closed (i had to telephone the hotel to be let in) and the restaurant and bar were closed. I assume this only applicable to Tuesdays (possibly only in low season).
Hotel staff, location and decoration.
The food was outstanding. The rooms were cold and we couldn't get the heater to work. None of their information was in English.
first class accomodation, great food
We rented two rooms, one room's bedding had extensive body hair...obviously sheets were never changed - this is unforgivable! Hotel (gasthaus/motel) was otherwise ok for the location. Staff (owners?) were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was basic but met expectation for the price.I Am sure better value can be found elsewhere, I would not stay here again.
Staff were the owners of the hotel. Very nice people and very clean. Hotel was newly renovated. Would recommend this hotel and would stay at this hotel again!!!
Free wifi, very good breakfast, very quiet, big bathroom in the room Staff does not speak english
Location excellent and welcoming.
Beautiful hotel with an excellent quality/price ratio in a village near Prien am Chiemsee. Perfect if you have a car to move arround Chiem lake, Herrenchiemsee palace, etc. Very peaceful, comfortable, kind staff and superior buffet breakfast included in the room price. Undoubtly I will come back. Reception is not available 24 h, although it isn´t a serious problem if you communicate the time of arrival.
I really enjoyed free internet access in the room. The collection of rabbits is fun, too. The tavern is nice, food is good and cheap.
The best thing about this hotel is its service. We had a bike accident the day we checked out. While I and my daughter were at the hospital, my husband rode the bike back to the hotel to get our car (to pick me up). He could not find the key of the rental car (not knowing I took it) adn thought he lost it. The hotel owner (father) was extremely kind in calling the rental company for help, driving my husband to the hospital and collecting the bikes. We are very grateful for their kindness.
Services, facilities, etc are generally all good. Parking space may not be enough at peak time.
The hotel is very cozy and cute. Staff was friendly, spoke English. Only 10 minutes to Prien to go to the islands by boat. Breakfest included and was a nice spread of food. Resturant in hotel has amazing meals. Family friendly. we love it!
this hotel was used as a stop int transit onto Austria, so did not arrive until late so was just a place to sleep have breakfast then left
Havig stayed there in the past, I enjoyed coming back and finding the service as good as last time. As our room overlooked the street there was a lot of traffic noise.
The location in a very beautiful little town of Bernau. Though located on the central road of the town - didn't find it bothering at all. The fact that the heating wasn't on all the time (probably was shut from a central location in the hotel), the room was cold and it was only the end of October. I hate to think what is going on there in the "real" winter time.
Location and appearance of hotel was fine. We left a day early when we were awoken, at 0500hrs in the morning, by the cries of animals (8 pigs and 1 bull), being taken into an abatoir, from an enclosed yard, below our bedroom window. The animals were clearly distressed and my wife and I were very upset by the experience. I am amazed that an abatoir is co-located with a hotel and visitors are not warned.
Great Hotel, biker friendly, superb food. Ideal for exploring the local area or staging through, as we did.
Beautiful Bravarian motif! No elevator. (However, most of these smaller hotels lacked elevators.)
traditional, clean and value for money.
Everything - staff, location, all was wonderful
The restaurant serves terrific dinner. One of the best we had in Bavaria. The English menu should be updated
The hotel has a good restaurant. Traffic noise during the day - but not a problem at night.
Beautiful traditional Bavarian architecture, comfortable rooms and friendly service. Good location in Prien, but Prien itself is further from Chiemsee than we expected.
Central location in the town. Room rate/price. Private parking was adverrised as available at 6.50 Euros per night. We requested private parking on our internet reservation. When we checked in we we escorted to the private underground parking by a friendly receptionist who was dismayed to find a big Mercedes car already in the space available for my car. The receptionist was very concerned and helpful but unable to resolve the problem so we had to drive back up the ramp and park in the hotel public parking area. We had requested the private secure parking as our car was full of valuable personal effects as we were driving from UK to Greece.
Everything, the people were friendly and helpful, great place.
Location and free parking. Nice room with balcony.
Staffs are kind. Atomoshpere is good. Location is good, close the central station. Staffs are very kind but not fluent in English. It does not matter anyway.
Friendly staff, great food and value for money in the hotel restaurant. Free wireless is a definate bonus.
Staff always wiilling and courteous with a smile aspeaking perfect English. Hotel within walking distance of fabulous Lake facilities and associated sports
Friendly staff, good food, nice room
The hotel was in a beatiful area with lovely views. A very good standard and excellent breakfast and restaurant. On arrival there was no one to recieve us - just a key left in an envelope with no explanation - just our name. There was no one around who appeared to speak any english. The overall impression was that this was a High Standard 'Corporate Type' Hotel which was just out to fill some spare beds during the 'low season'. There was absolutely no sense of personal 'customer care'. Having said that - we would use this hotel again because, functionally it suited our purpose for visiting Chiemsee.
Beautiful location in a very scenic area overlooking the lake and the mountains. The hotel room was lovely and we had a fabulous lake view. The room w as very clean. Buffet breakfast was ample and delicious. We would certainly recommend this hotel. The staff speaks either very little or no English which makes things a little awkward. The adjacent restaurant had great food but the service was slow and the staff not too friendly to foreigners. Our waiter was particularly rude.
The food in the restaurant was good and represented good value for money. Room had been newly redecorated The room was over the kitchen and so was noisy until 12.00 and again from 05.45. The facilitities are all in the Seiserhof (sauna, internet) and not avialable in the Seiseralm. No credit cards accepted at Seiseralm.Staff could have been more friendly
Beautiful views to the lake, big spacious room (although we think we were upgraded as we had booked a room with balcony and initially were put in a room with no balcony). Even though English very limited, staff were friendly and smiley. I think the room may have been closed up for the season as it was missing most knives, forks, plates etc. Staff spoke virtually no english - the level of English spoken could be helpful on website. This was the most expensive Hotel we stayed in, and although lovely, no nicer than any of the others that we stayed in around Austria.
Close to local attractions, beautiful location, beautiful wooden building, nice outside seating area. The room was big and had good shower facilities. Highly recommend the restaurant next door, exceptionally good food. The breakfast buffet was absolutely fabulous. Within the hotel itself, the restaurant staff were cold and ignorant, slow to take orders and we are sure we were given someone's left overs for our dinner - it was disgusting (and it included a dead fly!). No apology given and we were sick the next day. The room was a good size but very dark as there was only one skylight and no windows. As there wasn't a bath only a shower, it was not ideal for a family with two babies.
The Seishof is up on the hillside in a rural area, but still only about a 2-3 minute drive to Bernau am Chiemsee zentrum........location is very nice and quiet.......excellent veiw of the lake. It's about a 5-10 minute drive to Priem am Chiemsee to get on the ferry boat for HerrenChiemsee. The staff, the breakfast buffet, and the room rate were all excellent......I would definitely recommend the Seiserhof.
Good value, convenient, beautiful location and friendly staff. As the gateway to the Tyrol it is perfect
Very nice environment, good location for sports, walking bycicle, warm atmosphere close to the Chiemsee. Room had extremely small bathroom, not really appropriate for a two persons room at this price. Personnel kind but inexperienced and not well managed. Restaurant is not of good quality. The really only professionals services in the hotel were the man in the bar and the cleaning ladies.
Everything of the above. Prices are a bit on the high side.
The location and surroundings of the hotel are agreeable. The buildings are very well restored and comfortable. The atmosphere is very pleasant, as well as the concept of a "Landgut" hotel. a) We were disappointed by the quality in the restaurant. Cold food, salty vegetables, tasteless "knödel". Restaurant personnel did give good service in trying to correct the mishap.b)There were two dogs in the next room next to ours, which barked at night. Reception personnel did see to it that we did not have any further disturbance caused by the dogs.
The atmosphere, the friendliness of the staff, the buffet breakfast was sensational, the spa facility was equally remarkable; we enjoyed the overall setting of the hotel: old buildings beautifully redone and refurbished with great furniture. We were not motorized which restricted us in moving around easily.
The kindness and thoughtfulness of the hotel employees, and beautiful interior, with a lot of antique furniture and paintings. Real hospitality ! No serious items
all-around service and comfort at a suitably relaxed pace. n.a.
Booking was not registered when we arrived but suite with private terrace found for our 2- day stay. Very modern bathroom and delightfully furnished suite.
The hotel had excellent facilities for golf, horesriding, tennis, wellness, walking, excellent restaurants, and was dog friendly. None
The nature around is beautiful, the hotel´s restaurant offers a good dinner. Nobody at the Hotel speaks English, they don´t even try; some of the employees are rude. The breakfast was poor, in comparison to other hotels with the same price in other cities. The forniture is old and doesn´t smell good, there are stuffed animals everywhere, the bed is too noisy, the bathroom doesn´t look so clean. It would be perfect for a 2 stars hotel, but the price more than this.
friendly family no available wireless and internet connection was not there for me
We had our own private terrace that overlooked a brooke. It was great to sit outside, listen to the water flow, and have a glass of wine accompanied by the local cheese. There was a grocery store across the street.
We had a large, spacious room. There was a self service bar for wine, beer etc. This was very convenient. This hotel is really wonderful value for money. You would have to be very fussy to find anything to criticise about this hotel.
Hotel staff was great and the rooms were very clean
The hotel and staff were friendly and the athmosphere was pleasent. The constant traffic noise is very unpleasant.
Price and cleanliness
the place is wonderfull.Hope to cone again! Its placed on a very quiet position next to the forest. and 5 min. from the action of the Chimsee!
cleanness and features (hair dryer) of the bathroom, television in the room (with channels in English) car park too small, fee applicable if payment by credit card (5%)
at 7:00 (morning ) they cen not serve breakfest. (we recieve it night before, with cofee in termos that became cold till the morning)
A lovely hotel centrally located with a very nice beer garden to the side.Food was very good and the staff very nice. Carparking was not great.
Nice quiet hotel about in old Bavarian town a small hour drive from Munich.
The staff was wonderful; the beer garden is lovely; the price (breakfast included) was a good value; the room was nice and quiet; the location was superb. it rained while we were in the beer garden :(( hardly the hotel's fault!
Nice old established hotel on the main square of downtown Wasserburg. I can highly recommend it.
