Pros: Oneta is such a wonderful place that we regret that we have only stayed there 5 nights, we should have reduced our stay in Nadi and spend more time on this beautiful resort. It's much cooler on this island than in Nadi, and the resort try their best to make us feel at home and be close to the nature. The general manager Richard takes good care of every guest, and all his staff are lovely people and we can see that they are working happily there. Well, the view from our balcony is too stunning to look at! That color of blue is not like the blue you can see at other place. Snorkeling and sport fishing are great and fun, this is not a place where you will snorkel with bunch of people, only several ones are snorkeling with you, house reef are so beautiful, many fishes down there. Diving coach and fishing captain are very professional and they are very nice to us. Furthermore, although Oneta is a small resort, but the chef is fantastic and we definately put on weight since we eat up all things for every meal! If you are finding a remote pleace to enjoy serenity and pure nature, I have to say that Oneta is a super good choice for you.
Pros: Wow, Oneta resort is just incredible!! I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to stay in such a beautiful place. The staff there are so friendly and really go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay. The snorkelling and diving is mind blowing and there's no one around so you really feel like you have the place just to yourself. The boat ride from the airport to Ono island is amazing and I just couldn't believe a place like this so beautiful with no one around exists. On top of all this, the food at Oneta was just amazing!! Everything was delicious and they were very accommodating to our vegetarian diet. Don't think twice, just book this place - you won't regret it!
Pros: Oneta is in an amazing location, it can be an adventure getting there but it’s well worth it! The isolation makes for amazing untouched beaches and reefs but the resort still has wonderful facilities and amazing food!
Pros: Our boat ride from the airport was lovely. We stopped on the way to have a nice picnic on a beautiful quiet beach. We were greeted by the staff and Liz when we arrived. Nice cool towel and fresh coconut drinks. We felt at home right after we arrived. Our bure: nice deco with a great outdoor shower(loved all the pure Fiji products) Our meals: nice breakfast, simple but yummy lunch, delicate 3-course dinner Activities: great snorkeling adventures(we saw seven mantas!); fun crab hunting trip after dinner; unforgettable Sunday church trip to a local village(we didn’t understand much of the sermon, but it was worth going, everybody was so nice) People: Liz was so nice and helpful in every way. She even managed to get me the scarf I left at the previous resort despite unpredictable weather conditions. And the other guests we met at Oneta and the conversations we had over meals. It was very hard to say goodbye. We will come back♥️
Pros: Staff are amazing! They help you with everything with kind and warm touch:)
Pros: We went to Oneta for 4 nights. Liz, who is also the owner happened to be there at that time and it was absolutely amazing to be hosted by her. The staff at Oneta will treat you like family and take care of everything you need. The property is spread over 50 acres and is absolutely stunning. There are plenty of things to do whether you are in a lazy mood or in an adventurous mood. The chef curated menu made us enjoy fine dining food every day! Not to forget the location is absolutely stunning and while it is a flight and a boat ride away from Nadi, this place is a jewel and is totally worth it. Liz and team compliment the natural environment and take it to the next level in terms of hospitality. We would definitely recommend this place.
Pros: Excellent staff, Richard was great. They accommodate in every way.
Pros: We loved our stay at Oneta Resort - it is one of the best holidays we've been on. The staff are absolutely incredible, the location superb, and there are plenty of great activities to keep you very busy (if you don't feel like simply relaxing by the beach). Each meal is delicious, with dinner being a three course meal every night (accompanied by freshly baked bread rolls). Ask for kokoda (a local fish dish) - if you like fish you'll really enjoy this dish. We went to Oneta to go diving, and had an exceptional time doing so. We finished our open water certifications in Fiji with Dive Fiji (Oneta's on-site dive shop) PADI instructors Ale and Sergi, and then went on to do some more dives. Ale and Sergi are excellent instructors, there's plenty of great equipment, and the reef is full of life. We saw all sorts of fish (parrotfish, pufferfish, anemone fish, and clown fish to name a few), some sharks, dolphins and eagle rays. We also went snorkelling with the mantarays, which was amazing. In addition to diving and snorkelling, we hunted crabs at night, went kayaking, visited a nearby village, and did the sunset cruise. All were fabulous, and we would highly recommend all of these activities. Next time we are at Oneta, we are keen to do more of everything we did this time, plus go kayaking up through the mangroves and do some hiking on Ono Island (which we didn't have time to do this time around). Thank you Liz, Gabby, Ani, Milika, Maria, Akuila, Jonani and the rest of the team for taking such good care of us, and to Ale and Sergi for teaching us how to dive!
Cons: We didn't spend enough time there - we are going to have to go back!
Pros: The staff, the food, the location.. All of them made me feel like I was in paradise!! Richard and his crew took very good care of us and we're certainly going back as I've never felt so relaxed before. It's a big 10 for us as this resort is just the definition of perfection. If you're looking for a once in a lifetime experience than you should really go there!
Pros: A very special small full service resort that treats visitors as guests rather than customers, and spoiled us rotten. The desire of all the resort staff to please meant our every need was met from the boat pickup at Kadavu Airport to our drop off there six days later. The high speed boating, communal meals, snorkeling, kayaking, swimming with Manta Rays, picnics on the beach, sunset cruise, crab hunting, kava ceremony etc. might not be for everybody, but it sure worked its magic with us. Oneta resort is so much more than just a place to stay.
Cons: Having to leave.
