9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully decorated and maintained property, with relaxed atmosphere, lovely food and good restaurant service - they appear cautious not to pack out the restaurant and spread out bookings to maintain this good service and relaxed atmosphere.. the restaurant had a nice cosy feel and I could certainly imagine their Christmas celebration package being very nice there.. friendly attentive staff, comfortable bed and newly refurbished room and ensuite which was very tasteful.. its a little off the beaten track but easy to find and access .. a lovely stroll down quiet country lanes from the Inn to the reservoirs which have nice compacted walking routes all the way around.

Pros: Amazing location, friendly staff and great room. It was so nice to sit outside next to the lake having a drink.

7.4 Good
Pros: Fun to see the old estate, but the hotel itself seems outdated. The pool was great, and the service was friendly.
Cons: You could feel the springs in the mattress. Also, we were in a room in the basement with very little light, maybe our experience would have been better in another room.
7.0 Good
Pros: The building and garden and lake. Food excellent.
Cons: Room a little faded, being woken early by slamming doors on nearby rooms and then cleaning. Is it too much to expect cleaning to start after checkout time?

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stayed one night at Healds Hotel as we were going to a 60th birthday party locally. We arrived late and the lady on reception could not do enough for us. Checked us in straight away and took us straight to our room also asked us if we needed a taxi booking, which we did. She sorted that out for us and also the return journey no problem. Room was large with plenty of space, a full sized wardrobe, lovely high ceilings and decorated to a high standard with a beautiful ensuite bathroom. The double bed was very comfy so we both had a great nights sleep. Breakfast next day was just what the doctor ordered. We opted for the full english but there were plenty of other choices, such as smoked salmon, eggs benedict etc. Lots of cereals and juices on offer too. Could not fault our stay at all. In fact I was really surprised that this was not a 4 star hotel and only a 3. Would definitely stay again and strongly recommend.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Easy to find location but set well back from the road. The rooms while old fashioned in appearance were spotless. The furniture is all wooden with old school lamp shades but everything was immaculate - it was actually so new looking it was almost like a themed hotel. The staff were without exception friendly, attentive and helpful. The lady on reception even showed me to my room. Barman was friendly and chatty. Breakfast in the morning was a 10 and the coffee is proper stuff. This place is a prime example of how lower cost doesn't (and shouldn't) mean lower service. Would stay here again and again :-) Clean as a whistle everywhere.
Cons: At this price point there is very little to complain about at this hotel - sure if you look closely you can find some minor things... the shower hose needed changed as was worn, some of the bathroom paintwork was a little wonky but who cares, it is low cost, clean and tidy and the staff couldn't be more helpful and none of the tiny/minor issues I've listed impacted my stay in any way, the review forces you to complete this box or I would have left it blank!

7.9 Good
Pros: Staff were really pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was pretty good - with plenty to choose from including fresh juice and cereals with full English . Bed was comfortable and shower very powerful. Accommodation clean and tidy and connected to public house which served meals and had live music acts.
Cons: The room was a little too warm and light outside a bit bright.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The staff were quite friendly. Location was good but noisy they say the road is quiet but can get noisy with the passing lorries on the main road.
Cons: There were dirty marks on walls. Mould on the window. The shower was so strong it hurts because the head was to small. The TV controller didn't work. And the bath creeks every time you step in it. The room was smaller than advertised. I found the staff and manager ignorant. They never asked if we enjoyed our stay or wether we were happy with everything. The manager was never around. There wasn't anyone around to see us off.
6.7 Good
Pros: Nice pub attached, reasonable prices, staff is friendly and helpful
Cons: Rooms are a little small and dated, and cleaning could be better.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect. Beautiful cottage with lovely river views and lovely garden. It is so conveniently located. The cottage is very pretty, comfortable and warm. Hosts provide above and beyond!
Cons: Parking is tricky, on arrival we were parked quite a distance away, but we got a better place the following day.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, lovely views
Cons: Just the parking, nothing can be done to improve it but once we had found a parking spot round the corner (near Sainsbury’s) it was fine
6.7 Good
Pros: Very convenient for town and great view over river and playing fields
Cons: Close to road with on road parking short distance away. Poor shower over bath
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Cottage was pretty much perfect for us in every way. The Kitchen had all you would want for a 2 night break, the sitting room and terrace had great views out over the river and would have been great to sit out at had the weather been kinder. The 2 bedrooms were large and comfortable enough, along with enough space for storage of suits and the like, with the back bedroom having incredible views out over the river and beyond due to the large windows. The bathroom was quite small and the shower played games of hot/cold with you, but wasn't really an issue. The Chalk Board message on arrival was a lovely personalised touch.... Thank you...
Cons: The Yorkshire weather, but alas our hosts may be good, but i don't think their powers go that far... ;-)

7.5 Good
Pros: No breakfast provided. Good value. Walking distance to central Shipley. Parking available. Comfortable beds and room was kept at a comfortable temperature. Welcoming host.
Cons: Overall, there was little traffic noise, despite facing onto a main road. However, when traffic volume increased around 6.30/7am it was difficult to sleep . Should be no problem if you are on business and wanting an early start. Steep staircase to room, but I'm sure the host would accommodate persons with mobility issues on the ground floor, if requested.

Pros: The location was handy for local shops and restaurants. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower, kettle and hair dryer all worked perfectly.
Cons: My room was on the first floor at the front of the hotel which is located adjacent to a junction on a fairly busy road so it was little noisy. Probably not a problem for a town dweller but I live in rural Aberdeenshire where there is no traffic. I would definitely stay again but I would book earlier and ask for a room at the back.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Was a very nice place to stay. Owner was very friendly and made us feel at home. We didn’t eat at accommodation because we didn’t book meals in the reservation. But I would definitely recommend this place to my friends
Cons: There wasn’t any to not like
7.5 Good
Pros: Friendly staff. Very accommodating. Was allowed to leave my bags on my way to work and pick it up later. Stayed in a small and cosy single bed room.

Cons: a fan in the en suite was on all night so couldnt get a good sleep

Pros: The food was lovely and had a great choice. Ant on breakfast could not do enough for us and was friendly with a warming smile. He was also efficient at cleaning and setting up the tables which was nice to see. Rather then the plates just sitting there. A real asset to the team.
Cons: Nothing. Breakfast was perfect

Cons: We can't fault the place. There was nothing we didn't like.
7.9 Good
Pros: The location is great for getting into the middle of Wakefield and all the bars / pubs.
Cons: The breakfast unfortunately is awful. The bacon is always burnt and the sausages are hollow!! Luckily there's plenty of places to get a good breakfast nearby.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food staff area
Cons: Perfect location for clubbing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Spacious twin room with recently refurbished bathroom. Comfortable beds. Good central location, just five minutes walk from Westgate Station. Friendly, helpful staff.
Cons: Breakfast could have been better, and hotter. Baked beans congealed as only a few left in dish, scrambled egg ok-ish and bacon and sausage not the best. However, decent selection of cereals, bread rolls etc. A 6/10 for breakfast.

Cons: Check out too early at 10am better 11am like most hotels.
7.9 Good
Pros: Central, clean, contemporary, comfortable. Good desk space.
Cons: Staff were polite but not friendly. Parking requires patience as the area has fewer spaces than needed.
7.5 Good
Pros: The housekeeping staff were excellent, always making sure we had plenty of tea and coffee, and the room was immaculate too.
Cons: The WiFi was so bad, it might as well have not been advertised. The room was very stuffy, and could use air-conditioning.
5.8 Okay
Cons: Having to pay 100 pounds deposit because I didn’t have photo ID, have traveled all over the world and never been treated like I would wreck a room or steal something
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic room very spacious and comfortable beds. No noise very quiet had a great night sleep
10.0 Excellent
Pros: During my stay I was unwell, Elaine was very kind and I was able to check-in early with a free upgrade and I was able to leave my car during the day in their car park. I have stayed at this hotel many times before and the staff are all very kind, friendly and genuinely happy in their work. Thank you.
Cons: As I was there on business there is this perfect meeting space in the reception that could be used for meetings and if a coffee machine was available could have takeaway hot drinks for driving home the next day.
5.0 Okay
Pros: I’ve been here before and it’s ok for the price clean and the rooms are nice
Cons: This time I went the lady at reception was serving somebody and didn’t acknowledge anybody else who was stood around. When it came to me being next she went to serve somebody else who had only just stood there so I said I was next. She was quite rude when she came to serve me then and then made me £100 room deposit for some strange reason I think maybe because she didn’t like me as I’ve never ever had to pay a deposit at this hotel. The room was horrible. The bed was sinking and me and my partner both had a terrible nights sleep. I must say though I’ve never had such a bad experience at this hotel. I feel the receptionist took a dislike to me overcharged me and gave me a rubbish rooom
7.9 Good
Pros: We had a lovely stay, didn't eat at the hotel, parking is a bit of concern as no parking at hotel, but there is parking down the road, but we managed fine though thanks to the lovely lady on reception.
Cons: There is nothing negative really apart from the parking.
7.0 Good
Pros: Like the layout of the room Shower gel was nice Staff was really good and helpful Items available like the kettle and plates was good
Cons: The bed was not comfortable as it was two twin beds so the mattress kept moving. The water hot and cold and it would have been better if it was one tap.

Pros: Very spacious (disabled room) Very clean Easy to use facilities Easy to book in and out Restaurant is amazing
Cons: Twin room but one mattress was very used and springs were making it feel lumpy Shower head very low and would only go up to shoulder height Walls seemed very thin. Could hear every little bit of noise in the corridor. Only car park is council and have to pay. Could do with doing a deal or refunding parking to the customer.
