No soundproof whatsoever. It felt like the cars and bikes just zoomed in and out two feet away from you. Ear plugs, travelers.
Breakfast was quite adequate, bread bagels, waffles, sausages and eggs.
OK for what it is
A slight upgrade from a basic "motor inn." Clean, big screen TV. Many restaurants nearby - nicer ones on Lake, and on Colorado past Lake. Convenient to where I needed to be. Free, reliable WiFi.
Older hotel, small maintenance issues. No closet space.
Good staff room was clean fast check in and check out good breakfeast good value for the money
whish they had more non smoking rooms stayed in the smoking room all that was available, horrible smoke smell
Nice service and good breakfast.
Liked the renovated rooms.
The staff was terrible, was locked out of my room, then they locked my wife in the office, I had to get the lock working and then we were not allowed to leave as we could not get in and out of the room. The TV never worked and all on valentines which was ruined..... The rooms were expensive as well.
Clean, attention to details in maintenance and guest comforts, nice beds and linens, free WiFi, big screen TV, walking distance to restaurants, ease of parking.
Service, parking, internet, coffee
small bathroom; not having a lamp on each side of the bed
cheap and cheerful for the area. with good parking.
the pool is in the middle of the car park beside the road :(
Our stay at Vagabond Inn was very pleasent. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was nice and had a fridge, coffee maker, microwave oven, alarmclock, AC and a 42" Full HD TV with 99 channels. The breakfast was the best included breakfast we've ever had during our stay in the US. It lasted from 05:30-10:30 and included three types of bread and yogurt, there was butter, jam, Philadelphia, egg, bananas, muffins, waffles with maple syrup, water and two types of cereal, coffee, tea, milk and juice. The internet had a T1 connection with ok wireless coverage. The pool was heated so it's nice and warm when the sun goes down. Not much negative to say except that the AC was too noisy even at the lowest fan speed.
Great Management. Great Value.
Pretty good things were: location, facilities, order/cleanliness, staff, free Internet and spacious parking, kitchen, tv, bed
Our room was noisy - both windows overlooked the main street, the breakfast was a bit "monotonous", "fresh fruit" were actually apples, always the same
Great price, great proximity to Caltech, friendly staff and clean room
On my recent holiday trip to Pasadena, I stayed at the Vagabond Inn Executive and was very impressed by the newly renovated rooms and the excellent service. The rooms seem to be newly renovated and have huge flat screen TVs. The room I had was very clean and comfortable and had a nice view of Colorado Blvd. The breakfast buffet is amazing as well, complete with hot waffles and eggs. As a visitor to Pasadena, the staff was very helpful in providing maps and directions for all the sites I wanted to visit. The hotel is very close to shopping and restaurants in Old Town Pasadena, so good food is very close. I would recommend this hotel for all travelers to Pasadena!
the bedding, furnishings, electronics (almost all), and bathroom fixtures were all new and made me feel like I was the first person to have stayed in that room. Very comfortable. And the brand new flat screen TV was fantastic.
Only downside was the alarm clock. It was over used and out dated. When I arrived, the time was hours off so I had to reset it. I then set the alarm. It went off the next morning to wake me up for the day, I pressed the snooze button and it reset the entire clock setting it back to a blinking 12:00. I was unaware of this, and fell back to sleep completely, waking up almost late for my meeting.
reasonably good value
Smelled bad, tissue box empty.
