Pasadena may not be a suburb, but it’s still not a metropolitan area, so a suitable car to rent would be an SUV. The signs may or may not be posted, so be vigilant about speeds depending on where you’re headed.
When you get your vehicle from Pasadena car rentals, you’ll find that finding a parking spot is relatively easy throughout the city. However, there are rules to be followed, like parking in the street, which is prohibited between 2am and 6am unless there’s a sign suggesting otherwise. You’ll find that the city has curbs painted in different colors to show where parking is prohibited. Red curbs mean no parking or even stalling, while yellow represents no parking or stalling between 6am and 6pm, but unloading is allowed for a maximum of 3min. Green means no parking for more than 15min between 6am and 6pm, and blue means only persons with valid placards and distinguishable license plates can stand or park in that space.

Cons:Pick-up took so long and had to wait more than 45 min.
Pros:Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons:It went very smoothly. I can’t think of a suggestion.
Pros:drop off was easy
Cons:I made a reservation for a compact vehicle. When I arrived at the hertz location to pick up the vehicle, I was told that all of the compact vehicles had been taken. My only option was to upgrade and spend more money that wasn't exactly in my budget.
Cons:Reservation did not register with company bc it was done via a third party so there was not a car available for me.
Cons:First they wanted to give me an unwashed and uncleaned car. The second car looked like somone spilled something (hopefylly not bodily fluids) on the pessenger seat. The counter agent told me that they cannot detail the car. From the outside the car was scratched, scraped, dinged, felt like a rent a wreck for half the price. It took over an hour to get the car and get on my way
Pros:Price and customer service
Cons:If there was parking available for my own car while I was renting. But I realize that’s a lot, that shouldn’t be expected.
Pros:good on gas.
Cons:Thrifty is crooked -- no business competing head to head with the majors. FALSE ADVERTISING: exact same rate minus $1 vs competitors, BUT Thrifty DOES NOT include LIABILITY like all the others (I had to pay $12day), AND Thrifty has a mileage cap -- NEITHER of which was discoverable at time of booking, no thanks KAYAK!!! My $60 2-day rental wound up costing me $127, plus $25 in lyfts going the extra distance to the branch location. I am a sucker -- don't you be too! Hertz may seem $10 or even $20 more for comparable, but it's still a deal if you're going to drive more than 100 miles per day and don't have your own car insurance. To top it all off, the crooked guy who handled the return tried to gouge me for an extra 5c per overage mile -- he pointed to excess miles at 40c/mi and i said waitaminute, it's 35. he said, "no that's what he told you..." except i hadn't said he'd told me, he was just trying to get away with it. then he said "ok, i'll put it back..." again, admitting it had been 35c until he tried to gouge me on the spot. by far the most bare-bones rental i've ever gotten, at twice the usual pice -- not even power windows or locks!!! Absolutely crooked -- BEWARE.
Pros:Easy drop off and pick up, great staff, good price
Pros:Staff was friendly
Cons:Extra fees for driving over 100 miles

8.4 Very good
Pros:Staff was great
Cons:Got the first car and it reeked of cigarette smoke, asked for a new vehicle and was given a new one, but it still had a smell(although much less obvious) of cigarette smoke. Other than that, good experience
Cons:They did not start cleaning the car until after we finished the rental paperwork.
Cons:At dropoff in Los vegas, they tried to overcharge me even though I had a written receipt from pick up. They wouldn't call pickup location to confirm my receipt until I made a fuss. Wouldn't apologize for the false overcharge, just said the computer made a mistake. BAD CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE!!
Pros:Great place to rent -- very personable and easygoing staff. No problems at all.
