I loved the staff. The food was excellent. Having meals with Senora Trigona and Angela. Room 1 was fantastic. Grounds great. My experience was over the top. Would go back in an moment.
The couple running this B&B were extremely nice, though no English was spoken! The food was outstanding and the room mostly quiet - when the Nona in the next room wasn't on her cell phone!
The back terrace is lovely for breakfast....the view is the orange grove. You have the option of having dinner with all the guests in the kitchen. Trigona is family run and the mother loves to cook typical Italian home cooking. The wine provided was excellent. We were locked in the bedroom when the key failed ! The immediately called a locksmith and all was well :) Now it is just a funny memory.
Good location on the outskirts of Piazza Armerina. Beautiful traditional Sicilian country house with original antique furniture. Delightful owners and excellent local cuisine. A wonderful experience.
Excellent, lovely people, meal times a most enjoyable experience Nothing, I liked it all
A quiet location and a nice building. Rooms have thin walls and you can easily hear what is going on the neighbouring room. Breakfast of low quality and not consistent with four stars.
Friendly, attentive, english speaking hostess. Cosy, warm atmosphere. Benevolent staff. Substantial and well -prepared food ( for a reasonable price).
Traditional old atmospheric farmhouse/villa, large pleasant room, lovely welcome, friendly atmosphere, combined with excellent traditional breakfast, dinner+ wine, informative about area, book lending, great value for money
Peaceful location, considerate staff, bountiful breakfast in a pretty setting.
Traditional feel of the villa. Very good selection and quality of food served for dinner and breakfast by Angela. The computer in the lounge being set to play various popular music (regardless of what it was), which rather spolied the quiet atmosphere.
Great Location, We were given the choice of two rooms and preferred the standard room with cathedral view. I would recommend for a night or two.
Amazing hotel, totally value for money! It's one of the few times where the hotel itself is a true experience. The only minor default was that the breakfast was a bit poor. But still it's a great hotel to stay in.
A very unique hotel, featuring lots of original art on its walls that you can buy, if interested. It seems a little strange to find such a place in a small town. The bed was very comfortable (not always true in Italian hotels). They serve a very nice breakfast as well. The staff were very nice, but note they speak very little english, so brush up on your Italian before you go!
i appreciate the location just in the city center and that it is a residence not an hotel ( you have your key to go in an out when the reception is not working : no fix time) breakfast of very bad quality
Very good location opposite Duomo. Very interesting decor in our room.
The staff were lovely and the rooms were unique (we were shown two and made our own choice). We chose a room called Fluidity that had a round bed, a sofa that looked like red lips, a chair made of cardboard and a floor that had liquid tiles which changed as you stepped on them. So far so good. But there was no place to relax and read a book--the lips sofa is as hard as a rock and the bed had no headboard. So while the room looked good, it was probably the least comfortable hotel room we have ever stayed in! The view of the cathedral was wonderful. Breakfast was fine. The artwork around the hotel was interesting. The location was perfect for visiting the Imperial Roman Villa. Just the fact that there was no place to relax and read a book in the room. If we had wanted to watch the television, I don't know how we could have unless we sat bolt upright on the bed. My suggestion would be to add a comfortable chair or headboard to that room.
Extaordinary design and decoration. Good position at the top of the town.
The design of the rooms in the hotel is artictic, unique and superb. As owner explained to us, he has engaged artists to design each room, and rooms are really different from each other, surprising and very artistic design. me and my company really liked it. The premises itself is modern, hotel has elavator and dining room is on the top floor with the view on the cathedral and, on the other side, towards the hills (over the town-roofs..lovely) - the beautiful cathedral at fron of the hotel...has lovely and laud bells that ring every 15 minutes. It can be a bit disturbing when falling a sleep and early in the morning. (good for early-wake-up).
I'm very impressed by the hotel. It's located right in the center of city. It has cool, very interesting design. Rooms were clean and very well equipped. The staff showed us three different available rooms so we had a chance to choose. This hotel definitely gives outstanding value for money. We didn't have a breakfast, so I cannot talk on this. And of course when I go next time to this city, I'll stay in Art Hotel again! Good luck!
This is the funniest hotel I ever saw. All rooms are decorated in different styles and have very characteristic design. It is close to one of the major attractions in Sicily, the Roman villa di Casale. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, although continental.
Value was great. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Pool looks great for summer (we were there in Nov. so too cold to swim). But we enjoyed the fireplace. It could be very quiet in winter - we overlapped with a tour group but other than them and us, I think we were the only guests. Appears to be a starting point for lots of hikes and bike rides and if I had more time I would've taken a hike.
The hotel was close to a motorway and the first night was extremely noisy due to a number of coach parties and a lot of exuberant schoolchildren. We were upgraded to a suite which was spacious, but although there was a kettle and teabags in the room we couldn't plug it in and there were no cups.
It well located to go to piazza armerina and villa romana del casale by car, but far away from town centre if you do not have one. it is easy to find as it is very well signposted in the town. Too near to the road ss117 bis so it could be noisy if the room is on that side. breakfast is very poor. it seems a little expensive for the quality offered.
The room was clean and quiet, and a good value.
A very good location for visiting the Mosaics - about 10 minutes in the car. Room very good with an excellent bathroom. Nice spacious communal areas with bar. Breakfast was poor. Very difficult to find the restaurant, which was rather hidden away and quiet.
Rich interior Hotel staff apparently did not know we were arriving so we had to wait for the room to be prepared. Breakfast is very poor for a 4 star.
the hotel is not 4* only 3*
Location of the hotel was next to a large bypass. Evening meal was relatively expensive in the hotel restaurant when compared to other hotels, but food was good.
convenient loocation for Piazza armerina
The room was spacious and quite clean, but very bare This is a pretentious but soulless hotel. The buffet breakfast was very modest. It is outside the town, and was nearly impoosible to find. No internet connection. It is very close to an elevated highway, which would be very noisy for rooms on that side of the hotel.
