Lobby area and corridors were spacious and airy. Room numbers were well shown and easy to find. Very good gym. Uncomfortable beds. Horrible sheets. Poor room lighting. No eating places within reasonable distance of hotel. Driving 15-20 minutes at least to find anything reasonable or eat in hotel bar. Horrible area. Conference meetings in lobby area mean getting to parking it either dragging stuff down steps from lobby or walking around half the perimeter of hotel outside to get to vehicle. Breakfast is over priced and no better than that at a Hampton Inn that you get free and this hotel charges over $15 including taxes for the privilege. Bathroom cramped. Decor in rooms dated.
Modern, clean, large room, a/c unit has constant fan option. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent, well stocked, and something different each day.

Very nice, modern, new room. Fitness room, 2 pools and great breakfast

The cleanliness. All staff were very friendly.
The hot breakfat The space between the tiles in the shower were peeling off in chunks
Great location, modern, clean, appealing. Free cookies, wonderful breakfast. No, everything was great.
Exceptionally clean, inviting and quiet in spite of being quite busy. The location is great. I will definitely stay here again. Not a thing!
Comfortable room. Hotel adjacent to interstate but in a country setting. Well-presented breakfast.
location and service
no refrigerator in the room
The location, the view, the decorations That the rooms dont have microwave and refrigerator. parking sould have been free for the price payed.
It was a nice staying, everything was fine, i liked the staff at reception very much - they helped me many times and were always polite
Lokation no fridge in the room, poor swiming pool
Enjoyed the pool and exercise area the most. Charges for a for a wireless internet connection, thought this was greedy.
Great location close to the metro. Staff was very helpful and nice. Check in and check out was very quick and easy. Bathroom had no fan and the sliding door wouldn't stay closed all the way. Minor problem though the room was very modern and comfortable.
Proximity to Nicollette Mall Temperature was freezing in meeting rooms, common areas
My room was very quiet, staff was friendly, exciting location downtown close to fun bars, covered parking, hotel is less expensive than other downtown hotels, and I needed a wine bottle opener and was given one at no charge.
The rooms were very small. It seemed that the room had not been dusted in quite sometime. The temp was almost 80 when we checked in. We had to call for someone to come check. It turned out that we were unable to adjust the temp for the entire stay!!!!! Upon check out we discovered that they had charged us for an extra day of parking. It was taken care of but employee not to happy to do it. I would never ever stay here again and would never recommend it to anyone!!!!!!!! Also apple products do not work in the room.
We stayed with several other Families and had a great time. All the hotel facilities are newer, clean and functional. No problems at all.
Charged extra for everthing rude front desk people Staff attitude
We have stayed here twice. The hotel is very nice, bar and lobby area are good for hanging out and having a drink or snack. We had a group of 2 families with small children and visited in the lobby, lounge area while ordering food for the kids and having a few drinks. Cozy and stylish. Great service. Rooms clean, but a bit small. Great location, close to Nicollet Mall, Target Center and Loring Park. Good pool and sauna. Would stay again. Rooms a bit small, but it is a city and has a great location.
Lounge, Workout Facility, Sauna, and Quiet Room.
Great service from the minute we walked in the door! It was our 9 anniversary and they wine and dined us till we left. Nothing
I liked being able to check in early. The hotel desk staff was very friendly and accomidating. I requesting a single bed but was given a double. When I called to change rooms there was no hassle and a bell hop (also very friendly) came to our room to switch keys with us. The shower water took around 3-5 min to turn up in temperature. I felt like I was just wasting water for it to become semi-warm. Also I went down to use the sauna and it was cold. It took about 30 min for it to become semi-warm as well.
They were friendly and extremely helpful and accommodating. I was there for a week and they were on top of my needs and requests.
A wonderful, well kept, well situation hotel in downtown Minneapolis. If you are looking for a nice place to rest without spending too much, this place is for you. Not much negative to say! There was a slight tear in the one sheet on my bed. WiFi costs money here. Im really getting nit picky put Kayak says I have to use 100 characters!
Fantastic service, great staff, beautiful lobby. Very comfortable bed. Rooms were quiet and restful. Some of the furniture was a little beat-up, though not very bad. Room was a little dark; would have appreciated one more lamp.
Queen beds were nice and the bathroom was big. Market in the lobby had a good variety of snacks/fruit (a bit pricey). My room didn't have a fridge, but they got one to me in less than 1/2 hour. Very nice staff! Parking right there and not too expensive ($17/day) Room took a bit to cool off, but was nice once it did. At check in I was told that since I booked through a third party (Kayak), they put a $200 hold on my credit card that I would get back. I don't travel much, so I didn't understand this. The room was already nonrefundable.
Hotel has an amazing gym with great equipment and a full size indoor basketball course. The room service and valet was excellent, and food was good. Stayed here while Meta-Con was being hosted by the hotel and it was extremely crowded, kids seemed to be having fun but most were obnoxious, rude, and out of line. I wouldn't stay here if the hotel was hosting this event again.
-Club floor ($30 extra per night provides continental breakfast and dinner hors d'oeuvres) -Comfortable beds -Nice view -Affordable parking with in/out priviliges -More food options during continental breakfast
The room was a great space. Everything was excellent and the staff was super friendly and helpful. No hot tub.
The room was welcoming, larger than expected, great views. Room service was prompt and had great drink selections. The food (mushroom arancini and turkey burger) were great. Easy access to cabs to get us to our NYE destination downtown. Was unaware of the NYE party going on in the hotel, extreme security in place to even get to our room, bottle necks at elevators, loud party goers, and strange routes to get from parking to hotel because of the event. Might have chosen another hotel if we had known.
We went there for a bachelorette party - The front desk was able to get us in for early check in so we could decorate the room, and the customer service was OUTSTANDING. Hotel is beautiful - Will definitely book again
A modern contemporary room. Comfortable, stylish and right downtown. We walked to events and resturaunts during our stay.
Staff was friendly and helpful. We had breakfast at the restaurant and it was excellent!
The new rooms were beautiful and big! Very European. I Liked the new design and layout. Bathroom was fun to try since it would be impractical in one's own house! Decor and colors were soothing! The chair in the new room was not very cozy and comfortable. Something softer would be great. Also, the towels are a long way in a cold room from the shower. It would be great if there could be one of those towel warming racks on a nearby wall. Maybe at the other end of the tub - it would be closer!
The room was clean, modern and pleasant. The amenities current and thoughtful. There seemed to be a lot of noise that traveled into our room from the hall (loud laughter from a group roaming the halls at 3AM) and I could hear the unanswered alarm going off for an hour in the neighboring room. We were in room # 717.
I liked it that even though I booked the reservation online and they had no record of my reservation when I checked in, they found a room for us and upgraded us for a minimal charge. They were very accommodating and apologetic.
The staff were helpful in upgrading our accommodations after we expressed disappointment with the room we booked. (See below) The hotel is misleading in what it advertises as a "junior suite" for which they charge $50 extra per night. It is not a suite. It is just a large room. And it's not even good extra space. Just an oversized entry way and an extra strip of space between the bed and TV. Also, when i booked, there was no mention that the room didn't have a window to the outdoors; just an atrium view. Definitely not worth paying for. But the staff was kind enough to get us a better room. Apparently they've heard this complaint before. My biggest complaint is with Kayak/Orbitz customer service. The first person I called was helpful, but got disconnected. The second argued with me and then refused to escalate me to his manager. Instead he tried to transfer me to the hotel, but nobody answered. I called back again and asked for a manager at Orbitz, but nobody answered there either. I wanted to reward Kayak with the booking since I used their service to find the hotel, but I will never book via Kayak again after that atrocious customer service.
Location, staff, quiet Room starting to look worn. Bedside lamp needed new bulb. In room coffee maker full of scale deposits and would not heat properly. Maids cart parked in our hallway overnight in front of open service room door. Many carpet stains.
Modern. Great hip design Was all good
Nice rooms with modern fixtures. My favorite was the lighting in the bathroom Parking was TERRIBLE. I was not notified of parking arrangements for guests during check-in
Design, very comfy bed, wonderful bathroom, great room service No in-room movies (contrary to advertisement), Internet was down whole first night (also contrary to advertising), maids come into the room early despite the "do not disturb" sign...multiple times both days we stayed, front desk help was apathetic and snarky.
Clean, quiet and comfortable hotel. Expensive to park, if you are driving.
We were in town to attend a Twins baseball game, so this was a perfect location to walk to the ballpark. It's also close to a lot of great restaurants and other downtown activities. We came back to the hotel for nightcap and the bar had already closed down. Other than leaving the property, we didn't have another option. It wasn't even midnight on a Thursday night. Seemed odd for a downtown hotel.
Comfortable bed and clean room The TV and most of the lights didn't work. I called the front desk twice and both times they said they were sending a tech to fix it. No one showed up. I then walked down to the front desk and asked, they said there were sending someone up. No one every showed up. Had to watch football game at the bar.
Convenient location, right next to the light rail makes it easy to get to and from airport, mall of America. Right downtown near the stadiums and great restaurants. NA
Very nice and comfortable. Rooms were inviting and home like Our room had some things left behind in the dresser that weren't to appealing.
Very modern and clean. Very comfortable beds. Great location to be able to walk around to downtown locations. Parking was expensive especially for a one day stay.
Staff was friendly. Bar staff was fun. Convenient location. The cost if the hotel was great until you realize that parking is not included. Valet is $40+. Most offer thato with no extra cost or a much smaller fee. Parked on my own to avoid that, and it was still $20 overnight fee.
The room was decent and clean. Fairly close to downtown Minneapolis attractions. $200 extra held upon check-in for "incidentals". Parking is extra $. Fees upon fees upon fees for everything you can think of. Don't even bother with room service.
I just loved this hotel it is close to everything. A convenient walk from the light rail and Nicollet mall
The lobby and restaurant are in a beautiful old bank building that has been restored. The rooms are modern and clean.
Near every fun thing I N downtown Mpls. Parking
Hotel was clean. Workout facility and swimming pool was great, but I do agree with other reviewers that the chlorine made my eyes sting. Location was great. We pulled up and the valet told us of a parking ramp attached to the sky way that offered cheaper parking! So kind of him and it saved us $20. We could hear normal conversation through the walls and ALL the hallway noise. I have had quieter rooms at a "non-luxury hotel". This hotel promotes itself as luxury hotel, but we have stayed at Hampton Inns that were so much quieter. I honestly prefer the Hampton Inn over this hotel.
Great atmosphere & friendly staff. Great view of Minneapolis & location was convenient with great dining nearby. People on the floor were loud & the room we had (a corner room - 2012) allowed all sound through the walls. We could hear every door opening / closing & noise from the hall. Cannot recommend for weekend unless you do not plan to go to bed until after 2 am
Friendly staff, swank bar in the lobby and on the 27th floor. Free trip up to the museum and observation deck on floor 30 Awful view of the HVAC equipment for the restaurant below. Smallest room on the second floor.
The room was comfortable & clean. The Restuarants were exceptional and the lounges were lively. Elevators are old and slow. Half of the elevators were out of service. The card readers in the elevators were finicky but you can't get to your room until you fiddle with it. Parking is a nightmare. Attached public parking ticket machine would not give out tickets, just takes credit card and charges for the whole day and can't get in or out after 10 PM. The W does not have affiliated parking so that pretty much just leaves the expensive valet parking. Even that was challenging because the "pull-off" from the busy downtown street is exceptionally small. Over the five days, we often had to stop in the regular traffic lane and hold up traffic while handing the car off to the valet driver.
If Tom Haverford from Parks and Rec made a hotel, this would be it. A bit over the top in a few ways, but you love it all the same.
Broken sink, bad view, overpriced, non fitted sheet, small, everything costs extr including wifi
The location was great and surprisingly we were able to find street parking without any difficulty. Our room was small but very comfortable. We loved the shower, had a nice view and lots of sunlight pouring into our room. The lobby area was dark and very noisy especially in the evening. More of a personal preference but we didn't like the pink lighting and overall dark ambiance of the lobby area. We got the sense that the target clientele were young millenials.
Great location, steps away from anything worth doing in Minneapolis. Friendly, helpful staff and a cool atmosphere. Keys cafe and Manny's are both downstairs. Stayed in what they call a cool corner room, so there was a decent view. For a place that considers itself an ultra-cool luxury hotel, it was disappointing. Pretty basic room (bed, desk, TV, etc), but burnt out lightbulbs, chipped mirror, pealing paint, our floor (10th) smelled like a deep fryer, and everything costs extra (e.g. Wi-Fi is $13/day). After paying so much for the room, I expected better.
The modernization of such a iconic building to such a high standard of luxury! The staff was encredibly acommidating during my visit! Nothing
Location is great! Cool view. Good historical place. Easy to walk to places you want to go. No in-room coffee. I know - details, but....
Steeped in history, yet brought to modern standards. The shower stall was great, and the photo booth in the lobby was really great to get some shots once we got all dressed for the party. Keys Cafe is right next door for breakfast.
I liked the decor. The vibe was fun and youthful. The room was decorated nice. Asked for a room with a view and got the 5th floor. Wanted something a bit higher in a 28 story building.
We greatly enjoyed the luxury and "exotic" prohibition feeling. Everything fit a unique theme throughout the hotel. The design and architecture was beautiful. Fortunately our young child travels well and isn't a screamer so we didn't have any problems settling in and giving her a bath and relaxing. We were welcomed without judgement which was very nice given our 1 year old child. The mini bar was outrageously priced! Lucky there are plenty of shops and places down the street for food and goodies.
Wonderful and Professional staff, great food at restaurant. Great location near Mall of America-its directly attached. Key cards were not activated when we received them and my friend had to go back to the front desk to have it fixed while I ran around trying to find an open public bathroom. I was signed up for club Carlton as I left but was not credited for my current stay.
Convenience of never having to leave the mall. Cleanliness Pool seem to be "under construction" according to a sign. We didn't see any construction but the pool water and pool area was too cold. Not appropriate temperature to enjoy being at an indoor pool during the cold months.
Location is great close to Target field and Target Center. AC in the room was terrible room was hot and uncomfortable.
Staff was friendly Clogged sink/then toilet clogged and that wasn't fixed for 12 hours /tv didn't work/glasses not replaced/towels had stains/no fridge where fridge was meant to be/ no offer to move us or compensate us for inconvenience
Staff, location, room Broken sink
Nice staff, bigger room, city views, location, nice bathroom The double beds are extremely small! The shower doesn't seal so floor was wet after shower. No bath.
The staff was incredibly helpful and polite. Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Was fun being able to stay in downtown minneapolis within walking distance of anything you want to do for nightlife. Can't think of anything negative.
Parking is inconvenient
Beautiful, comfortable rooms with amazing city views. The breakfast suite had beautiful views as well. Room service was extremely fast. Parking fee, even though the website said included. Breakfast needed far more selection. Minor complaint: Would be helpful if the room had USB charging ports for cell phones. Most hotels include ports in their lamps or alarm clocks.
Great views, nice room. Room windows were drafty, hotel staff seemed generally clueless about their own hotel.
The room was nice. Good desk, big tv, mini bar and really nice bathroom. Bed was ok. The view was just of the building across the way. No pool for guests.
Room was clean, nice desk, updated furniture Shower did not drain, bed was curved (so not flat), and the Internet is not free...
It's a nice get a way.
Great location. Skyway and downtown stores & restaurants super convenient. Clean, light and airy. Giant windows. Great beds. Shower leaked and cupboard door fell off despite being fixed once. I was never told the price of parking. Last year it was free. This year it was $22 a day. Would have like to have known. High cost for in room Internet.
Location, rate, swimming pool. I extended my stay online & the front desk called me mid night, then 4am to confirm my stay, totally unprofessional & never heard of. When I voiced my complaint, only Ron tried to make things right to me by offering a discount for further stay, which is the only reason I didn't give "staff" the worst rating. The other staff did nothing. :-(
Great value. Nice space within the room. Clean Accommodated our very early checkin. Helpful staff.
The staff was terrible. They turned my daughter and grand children away at 330am even though the room was paid for. So I had to get out of my bed at home and go to the hotel at 4am. Abd when I got there the lady at the desk said she didn't give them their rooms because she wanted to be sure they were the right people. Total discrimination. She was white and my family is black. And both my daughter and her friend names were already in the computer. It was my worst hotel experience ever
Nice and quiet environment with a comfy bed.
Room was cleaned and new towels the next day. Very convenient location. Pool seemed small and was busy.
We have stayed at this hotel a number of times while visiting the Bloomington area to shop at the Mall of America or do other activities in the Twin Cities area. Always very good accommodations for a good price!
The beds and pillows here are fantastic. Room was very clean, staff was very friendly. I did not have any issues with this place.
Room was OK Place was full of families and youth groups who ran up and down the hall and in an out of rooms... at one time I counted 26 kids in the hall way adjacent to my room door at 11pm....I understand...kids and teenagers will be kids but no security...no nothing I thought this was more of a business hotel...my mistake ,,,,particularly for the rate $170...overpriced ..it was a last minute choice booked online and I would NOT go back
Nice hotel. Staff was very nice and pool and our room were clean. Overall a very nice hotel that is at a good price per night. Very close to the mall of America and other attractions. Booked this hotel thinking we were going to get a breakfast every morning. First morning we saw that the breakfast was actually $10.95. We where disappointed because this added unexpected cost to our trip.
Shuttle to the airport and the MOA Morning brunch was good and relatively inexpensive--$11 Very quiet The bed was alright, not the best. They need some foam beds! There isn't much around this hotel. A Trader Joes, a Perkins and a couple other restaurants.
They stole money from my card and act as if they didn't see that I paid for my room the staff was very rud and the refuse to give me back my money they are thieves. Unprofessional and very rude. Rochelle and the other staff stole money from me and refused to return it even after I showed proof that I paid already and refused to give me a supvisor or the number to the complaint department. Nothing at all. The room was dirty the bed was very in comfortable and broke down
Room was clean it was a very good value for the money being in an excellent location Heating unit was very poor. It would run for ever and get very hot then not run forever and get pretty cool. It was drafty when it wasn't running. We had it set on the very low side. About at 4 o'clock. Also someone should fix the vent fan in the swimming area! Very very loud and not relaxing! I got to a hotel to relax!
Nice amenities and great staff. Within walking distance to MOA. Great pool for younger kids, with poolside service. Insulation between rooms is almost non existent. Can hear neighbors conversations with relative ease. Mostly an issue in early mornings or evenings. Also, the breakfast lines are pretty chaotic. Seating is limited and the flow is awkward.
Broken coffee maker
Very nice comfortable place to stay. I would recommend to others. Enjoyed the breakfast and free shuttle to and from the mall. Na
Our room was quiet and clean. The breakfast was okay. I've stayed at this motel two other times, and this room was not the same quality as those I stayed in before (no microwave, refrigerator, etc.). My sense was that we got a lesser room because we paid less, but I don't know if that was true. I am wondering if the hotel has new owners, which could explain the change.
Pool was a little chilly.
Good value for the money. If you do not want to pay for more than a good, clean hotel, stay here. Small point, but had a coffee pot and fixings, but no coffee or tea bags in the room. Not good for morning coffee lovers especially as we were up before the breakfast room opened.
I liked the breakfast that was available every morning. I enjoyed the whirlpool but I think it should be only for adults! And the pool itself I thought could've been cleaner. The water was soo cloudy, my husband wouldn't even go into the pool!
This hotel is Excellent value for money. The facility is getting a bit "shop worn". For example, the air conditioning unit is loud, even on the low fan setting. Carpets are getting worn and dated, especially in the hallways. Staff are good to excellent. The continential breakfast could use waffle irons, like the Days Inn in Minot. The location is fabulous for MOA and access to the LRT (Tram). See comments above.
Location Free shuttle transportation Free breakfast - not too bad First time submitting a review....We made a reservation with an upgrade(paid more) and they gave us the wrong room. When asked to change us they told us that they were sold out. We didn't get a refund or anything at all. Once we made it into the wrong room the room wasn't clean, they even left dirty underwears in the bathroom, dirty dishes right outside our door and the carpet wasn't vacuumed. When called to get more towels, toilet paper and garbage bag (since they didn't cleaned the room) they took FOREVER. They finally came to clean up the room the next day. Oh BTW they never came to get the underwear, my husband threw them on the hallway. When we went to checked out and requested to talk to the general manager, he was on a "meeting". I will be calling everyday until we get our upgrade money back. We are NOT coming back there. We aren't too picky when it comes to hotels but this was just not right. Oh BTW when my husband went to get dinner he said that another couple was checking in and they didn't have a room, the hotel gave their room to someone else. CRAZY!
Proximity to the Mall of America
There was not a hot tub.
We took our children and grandchildren for a weekend in Minneapolis. The pool is what sold us, as most in the area are standard, rectangular ones. The babies loved all the festive fun! I wish the pool would have been heated. It was a little cold for our grandchildren under 1 year old.
Bathroom lighting inadequate, no ventilation available either. The absence of ventilation was a nuisance!
Friendly, helpful staff. Rooms were quiet and comfortable. Regular transport service to the airport and mall (from which I could connect to the Metro train) was great. The bed was too soft - made my back ache.
The hotel is close to airport and shopping and has concenient access to both Minneapolis and St. Paul. We have relatives in both cities so this made our visit convenient to both. The attached restaurant served good food and had friendly servers. If you are used to luxury hotels, this is not that. It's clean and beds are very comfortable. Free breakfast. But it is simple accommodations otherwise. I would label it a budget hotel stay.
I absolutely loved the overnight staff! They were kind and accomadating , they kept a light mood which was nice since i got in at 12. Very helpful. And the room was lovely and the bed was so comfortable i missed breakfast haha I don't have any complaints.
Location, the soft pillows and having Outback steakhouse connected to the hotel.
The staff was great! I did feel that the bathroom could have been cleaner. I found several dark hairs in the shower and near the toilet. Other than that, the room was great even while they were doing renovations.
Prompt service. Hotel halls and rooms were "tired".
The price was right, I had no real complaints. Bed was clean and comfortable, location was good. My boyfriend said the pool was too cold.
Does that make any sense? This is a 2 star hotel for a reason....dated facilities, older building, musty smell in halls, heavily chlorinated pool, average breakfast. The best part was a friendly staff, easy access/shuttle to MOA an airport, updated beds/carpet, and plenty of towels. They were awesome and let me check in two hours early and check out one hour late. Hotel smelled kinda musty but the AC cranked helped cover it a bit while in the room. The pool was way too deep for young children though. Given the choice, I would opt for a nicer hotel next time.
Desk service, business center breakfast room was dirty and worn. Bathroom had repair issues, seat had been cleaned with a filthy rag or something, bathrrom floor full of dirt imprints, rook carpeting was wet and dirty. Room smelled of sewage every day(mild). HVAC did not have thermostatic controls, light switches on lamps were broken next to beds, now electric outlets at night stand. this list can go on and on
Good location I was so tired I cannot sleep they were making too much noise
Convenient shuttle to airport and Mall of America, average breakfast, clean, and friendly staff. Pool wasn't usable for young children - too deep.
Rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable. Our family loved the pool area and hot tub. Great location in relation to many popular attractions. Room did not have a microwave or refrigerator.
The attempt at modern decor was very attractive. The pool was freezing, there was never any towels - the room doesn't have a fridge or microwave; which would be handy with small children for snacks and such. Our ice machine was broken - had to travel up a floor to use theirs and the double beds Do Not accomodate 2 adults comfortably....
Many rooms for business, seemed very accommodating. Daily rate seemed relatively low. Was not up to Hilton standard on personal travel, would not recommend when there's so many other alternatives.
Staff and facilities were nice. Hot tub was almost the same temperature as the pool. There were also too many young kids in the hot tub
It's location and beds and the friendly staff How old the facilities and how dated it looks
I liked how everything was in the hotel. I didn't like that there was no free breakfast. You would think I big hotel would have free breakfast.
Pool, fitness center, friendly staff. Comfortable beds and clean bathroom. Finally asked to change rooms on the first night because the noise from other guests on the floor woke me up several times. The hotel staff was accommodating, although the manager seemed not to believe there was actually a problem ("I walked up here myself and couldn't hear it") but they moved me to a room that was extremely quiet.
Location Front desk staff was rude when checking in. I even found hair in the shower and with the extra blanket. We stayed there when it was a Sheraton and it was in a lot better condition with higher quality staff. Not a standard Doubletree experience!!
The pricing through Get a Room was very good. A reservation glitch, either by Hilton or Get A Room, charged me a prepay for two days but only confirmed one. A long phone call to fix was necessary.
Bar prices and breakfasts was too expensive
Very friendly and helpful staff! Clean comfortable spacious rooms for the entire family. We will definitely be keeping track of this hotel for our next trip. Thank you
Staff were very friendly. Room was very clean and quiet, even with a loud conference in the hotel downstairs. Bed was very comfortable! Only complaints were with the not-so-hot hot tub in the pool area and generally difficulty finding close parking. Will definitely be back... Especially for the price!

This is my second time staying at the Commons. Overall, I love the location, the staff, and the decor. The internet and television access was poor on the days I was staying at the hotel. I let the front desk know, they were aware of the problem and stated that they were upgrading the system and during the upgrade they are having some challenges.
Wonderful The hallway floors were filthy, took away from the perfection of the rest.
Location Carpet getting worn in corridors
In a word, everything! The staff was very friendly and professional. Our room was one of the best we've ever stayed in: up-to-date, clean, comfortable. The restaurant food and service was excellent. We hope to stay there again! There wasn't a thing we did not like!

friendly staff appeared to be wine on the wall a couple spots, rooms were nice but some things lacked attention to detail....toilet paper holder was not mounted on wall straight.
There was a bed, it had doors, it was fine. Everything past the lobby was worn out and in poor condition. The only thing this place has going for it is location for people that want to be on campus. I was not one. Maybe a 2.5-3 star hotel.
Easy & quick light rail access to downtown Minneapolis

Staff and location hallway carpet was stained and needs to be replaced
Walking distance to a lot of attractions. Very friendly and helpful staff
Felt fancy, drove up in my muddy f250, looked at this crazy redneck like I was out of place. Had them valet that sucker right on the spot, smiles and friendliness (easy and fast) "that what she said" , had a greeter summon an elevator and direct me to the 5th floor, jammed to some dope elevator tunes. Got to the front desk, a little backed up , the fancy fancy platinum members line was bone dry, guess I wasn't that special. Cutie behind the counter was polite and humorous. (Received the cards) bam elevators, bam at my door on the tenth floor, bam key swiped, and then..... You got to set your expectations on size low, Immediately my buddy had to rub in my face "way to go on getting the smallest room bruh" I replied "ST@#" started getting ready for our concert, I then call the frount desk and ask for one of them rolly beds, "yes sir we will send it right up" bam problem adverted, took an hr to get all ready (bruh was being a pre- donna ) still no bed, phhh we gots to go so they will come drop it off , so we leave ( fast forward through all the dark/IPA non hipster beer fest, eye melting, ear penetrating, mind blowing sounds of senses fail/sum41 and post game pizza at louches) drunk walk back from all that madness, get to the lobby and apparently Vinilla Ice Ice baby is staying there to and had all his groupies waiting down there for them, a couple girls come up to my buddy and ask "do you know which room he is in?" That playa was all like " yeah follow us we just ran to get Ice his "stuff" " up the elevator and to the door *fist bump* open the door......just the small room, 1 bed (no roll out) SMH. Called front desk again "sorry we are completely out" nooooo! I called shotgun so I was legit, buddy froze on the floor, at 3, 5, 8 am sounded like someone was banging on our door, royaly pissed me off, (no one was even there!?) after the second knock and my friend slowly dieing of hypothermia we called and asked them to send up pillows and blankets, got them , bro was no longer a popsicle. Woke up called the manager/ now we all good, I would totally stay here again when I'm downtown!! For realzies!
Long walk from parking garage
It's just not worth what they charge. Front desk operations has nice people but not wait lines are long. Noisy and hard to sleep. Beds need to be replaced.
Friendly, helpful staff, comfortable, clean room Confusing parking arrangement
Convenient location, friendly staff, clean, quiet room. Overpriced for the size of the room, which was fine because we weren't in it much, but it really was tiny. Great view, comfortable bar/lounge area and great spot for walking downtown. Garth Brooks
staff was great overall clean bathroom stink long way from parking garage
I enjoyed the atmosphere. The courteous staff. The comfy bed. Relaxing atmosphere. I got a good deal due to the construction. So I cannot complain too much. Very clean and comfortable. I would have given more stars if it wouldn't have been for a few minor things. Lobby was awesome. It was a lounge in the evening that turned into a Starbucks in the morning. Very convenient! Construction going on. Parking sucked. Although the front desk explained how to get on wi-fi, we still couldn't get on. There were a few minor cosmetic blemishes (lighting fixture, bathroom fixture) that weren't noticeable at first. But I did have a 2 day stay, so I noticed them. But I figured, building was still under construction and everything else was so awesome that I was able to overlook these minor blemishes.
Clean quiet room. Meeting room was well set up and the sound system was good. Lela Restaurant was not a good experience. Our food came out late and not hot. I was serve the wrong vegetable. They offered to bring out the correct one after our food was served which I declined. When I was half way done with my meal they brought out the correct vegetable, which I again declined. My steak was ordered medium and it came out rare. My wife's shrimp pasta dish had 5 tiny shrimp in it. It took a very long time to clear our plates and bring the check. The front desk told us it was a 5 star restaurant. I would give it 3 stars at the highest.
I thought it was really poor that on weekdays one would have to pay for wifi service
It was a nice, clean hotel. The room was somewhat stylish but seemed like a makeover/renovation that was given half the effort needed. The bathroom and shower were smaller than I'd expect at a four star hotel.
Everything was 5 star! Comfortable beds, rooms were clean and spacious! Will be staying there everytime I visit Minnesota, and I travel there quite often!
The A/C in my room was not running good at all. It was 85 degrees out and I had the unit set at 68 and it felt like 80 still. Even having the AC running continuously it did nothing and it was a long nights sleep.
The walls are to thin so you hear everything in the other rooms
Location No air conditioning, poor air circulation, No Pool and they did not tell us no pool. Construction was extremely messy and inconvenient. People guarding the parking lot and one guy told me I should move along.
Very clean room, super friendly and helpful staff, the room is just beautiful. Comfortable beds. Fast free internet and free parking.
Staff were professional & helpful. Would definitely return.
The staff were polite and considerate. Room was wondering full and newly renovated and the rest of the hotel will be soon. Hotel is near mall of america and other fun attractions.
There is no wifi in hotel
Great rooms. Very comfortable and quiet hotel. Unfortunately I was charged $14 for logging on to the Internet for about 1 minute but other than that my stay was great.
The room was really nice and so was the bathroom! The food was delicious at the hotel and the fitness center was nice! You could tell the supervisor was judging us by the way we were dressed. We were dressed in comfy clothes being we had to drive 4 hours. As soon as we came down after checking in dressing up nice, he looked at us different like he misjudged us. That was the only bad thing being it was rude.
The location was great The room was very small, we were told we would get a roll away that never came, so one of us had to sleep on the floor ! When we complained they said they couldn't discount the room as an apology due to the fact we booked through a booking service. Huge disappointment to an otherwise great trip to Minneapolis !
it was very clean and quiet. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Nothing
Everything was fine until I got home found a bunch spam requesting how every goddamn thing about my trip was. Fucking *unsubscribe*
Comfortable bed and restraunt was good. Had to pay for internet. Parked across the street in a parking structure recommended by hotel and couldn't get to my car in the morning. Some of the staff kind of rude.
Loved the location, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Lots of towels provided and the complimentary water was a nice little bonus. Bed was very comfortable. The shower did not seem clean, there were mildew stains and lots of hair. There was some minor damage to the walls. Not as "luxurious" as I had expected.
The room was very clean. The valet parking employee was extremely sassy and rude towards us!
Very centralized location, easy to access, reasonable parking. Staff was very helpful - extended my stay by one night after booking through third party, and they honored the online price for the additional night. Impressive.
Beautiful lobby and rooms. Internet per night was not included, nightly valet fee's, complimentary breakfast was not complimentary. Restaurant/bar closed early on the weekends.
I was told I couldn't check in therefore waisted $130 to sit at a library for 5hrs and never got a chance to see a room
The bed was super comfy, and the staff were really nice and helpful. It is a beautiful hotel with a lot of character in it's design and it feels really safe and quiet overall. I enjoyed my stay. There was an earring in our shower which made me question whether or not they had cleaned it.
great rooms, great service, great location
love the location in downtown Minneapolis, and the bars and restaurants near the hotel are great. Location right off of first avenue. I think the area right next to the lobby leading up to the skyway was under construction, kinda unattractive but no big deal. I will stay here again.
My wife and children were in town to go to a Twins game. Chris at the front desk relized we were there for the twins game and moved our room so that our boys were able to see the stadium from the room. Thank you Chris and thank you Graves hotel. Nothing
THe room was quite nice & a good size, breakfast delivered on time, cleaning staff particularly pleasant. There was no tub in the bathroom & no bathrobe.
The staff were extremely friendly and the atmosphere was great.
The staff was attentive & very courteous. The beds were sooo comfortable. The food was great and the bar went out of their way to meet our needs. Did I say the staff was attentive & courteous? Had a great time at the Graves 601.
Discreet hotel, therefore very secure. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Rooms light and airy with comfortable beds and every comfort. Best hotel that I've stayed in in Minneapolis.
Our room was nice, but the mattress on the king size bed was old and springy. Also, the previous occupant of the room had set the alarm on the ipod docking station, and we were woken up several times before we were fully awake enough to turn it off. Way to expensive for what they have to offer. Valet parkin was 30 dollars a day!
Location Business center was expensive and slow. Only 1 of 2 computers actually worked.
Loews Minneapolis Hotel completely blew me away during my stay this past week. The skyscape view was incredible, and the hotel is perfectly positioned around a ton of awesome shops, restaurants, and venues for those who get time to explore. The front desk and Star Service staff were unbelievable. I've been to hundreds of hotels in my professional lifetime, and Loews ranks among the very best hotel experiences I've ever had. Even the valet was amazing--that's hard to find. The morning breakfast buffet was overpriced for what was offered. I'd suggest discounting the $20 buffet price for those staying in the hotel (perhaps if they're willing to charge to the room for verification).
The atmosphere and location If you do self park it's a bit confusing and inconveient.
