Welcoming, clean , stylish The shower
The breakfast was precisely what was needed - simple but filling. And the location is excellent. It was slightly tricky to find the hotel from the circumvesuvio train, but there's not a lot they can do about that!
great staff, excellent map, fantastic location for exploring the entire bay of naples as well as pompeii, clean hotel and rooms, the free internet, web cam and memory card reader was an excellent feature. Breakfast wasn't brilliant especially for a supposed four star. Have stayed in better three stars in the past, but it met our needs.
Good location near entrance to Pompei ruins room was a little tired. beds were hard
convenience to Pompeii ruins, friendliness of staff
Close to Pompei ruins and still a quality hotel. Price was very reasonable. Parking was a bit of a hassle but it was free, so no real complaints.
Location was great and it had an "oasis" feel. Very nice nibbles available in the evening. Room was quite warm for the season and it was difficult to cool it off.
Very comfortable hotel. Location is excellent in front of Pompeii. Quiet gardens. We had superior rooms which are very comfortable with excellent bed and bathroom. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was perfect. Nothing !
Very charming hotel with a warm and friendly staff.
The hotel was clean and pleasant with beautiful grounds, the staff were very helpful. The breakfast variety was limited, but it was fresh and filling. The location was excellent. The sound proofing of the rooms could be better.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Emanuela, who helped us with train schedules and various attractions. The hotel is convenient to Pompeii ruins and to restaurants in the town.
Thank you Guisseppinfor the warm welcome and accommodating us with parking
Friendly and helpful staff The mattress was a bit too hard!
Excellent Location for Pompeii and station to Herculaneum. Good bus service to Vesuvius. Food in hotel ok. Water leak in room which was not repaired despite reporting it every day during stay. Hairdryer didn't work. Beds small. Breakfast not ready on day of departure even though we arrived after 7.30am.
The location was amazing, staff were informative, friendly and helpful, sun terrace and hottub were a definate plus. Visited all the major sights easily and cheaply, plenty of good places to eat and drink.
Convenience of the location (very close to the Pompei ruins) and friendliness of the hotel staff
Nice hotel & friendly staff. Pictures on their website make it look more luxurious than it is, however it was great. Quite noisy for a hotel that was in the bottom end of town. Opposite the Pompeii Santuary station - make sure you get the right one - there are 3 Pompeii stations & we ended up with a train trip to Sorento in error & then had to pay a taxi to get back from Pompeii Scavi. The only negative was that they advertise free wiifii on their website, but wanted to charge 6 euro to use it when we were there.Think that I would rather stay at the Pompeii Scavi end of the ruins if I were to go again. The staff were very helpful Beds were quite uncomfortable
Location, staff and room Turning the a/c off when we the only people left in the restaurant
The staff were really helpful and friendly, the rooms were clean and the breakfast was great too. The station was right next to the hotel so it was really easy to get around (Not noisy at night time) We were also give a gift from the hotel when we left ! N/A
Staff and close proximity to rail transport Hotel maintenance not up to standard
Hotel was modern, clean and comfortable
The building is modern, clean and comfortable and the grounds are beautiful. The staff is very attentive and efficient. The continental breakfast is excellent. We were even offered the services of a shuttle bus to reach the ruins and again in the evening to go out for dinner. The wireless Internet, though free, does not work in all the rooms. There is, however, excellent reception in the comfortable sitting area near the reception desk and in the garden.
Pretty much everything. Very little to say here.
We booked the hotel since it was close to the Pompei ruins. The hotel was clean comfortable and the staff was very helpful. Their restaurant had excellent very fresh seafood. So it met our objective. Although I liked the hotel it is in a very run down city. I would only recommend it for those that want to be close to the Pompei ruins.
I could find no fault at all with the hotel. For us it was excellent. N/A
Perfect for breaking trip between Airport and Amalfi Coast - close to Pompey and Road - good pool to cool off in. Endearing staff tried hard. Not really - it's big and a bit formal - but that is part of it's charm.
Amazing staff, the comments on the other reviews are so true, Maria, Antonio thank u, u were wonderful. Francesco too for ur help. This hotel really should be five star, its service & facilities certainly are. I'd consider us to be experienced traveler's, this hotel surpassed all my expectations. You need a car.
Hospitality, attentivenes of staff, great garden and view over Vesuvio
the food was excellent, staff was friendly and spoke english. we slept above the restaurant and in the morning the staff was sometimes a bit loud.
beautiful hotel with terraces and palm trees, staff very kind and helpfull the area is not so nice
fresh prepared orange juice excellennt bar nibbles
very friendly staff and welcoming, lovely room exellent views great location, great food, very relaxing no
The hotel is surrounded by a beautyfully decorated garden/parc, The stuff of La Medusa is very friendly and helpfull. Evrything in this hotel is excellent, well-cared and well decorated. They have a Vantaxi, which is not too expensive. Traffic in Napoli and in the different towns on the Amalfi coast is especially tiring. A good solution is to take the Vantaxi from the Hotel to go to the station of Castellammare di Stabia. The food is very good and you can ask for special italian preparations. We liked it!
superb hotel with a lovely garden and swimming pool, friendly staff, not far away from the vesuvius, pompei and naples (by car) castellamare di stabia is not the place to be, the hotel is an oasis in a poor neighbourhood
Very good hotel if you have car.Good price for good quality. We booked standard rooms, and received a superior rooms. Very nice staff at reception, in the restaurant and in the spa. Very good breakfast. This hotel has private parking. This pleace ist close to: Pompeji, Vezuvio,Sorento, Amalfii Coast and Neapol. If you go to Neapol take train from Vicko ( do not drive a car!!!!). Ask at reception.
The view Not really
Great location. Hotel facilities, layout and design were wonderful. The breakfast was amazing No
Fine. Well situated for visiting nearly everything by train and bus.The Hotel has a free shutle bus, bringing you to and fromSorrento as well as to the railway stations nearby. Really fine service. The restaurant should offer better meals. But the breakfast really ok.
The front esk reception area personnel were outstanding and gave great service. I want to particularly site lia as most helpfull. Alphonse, Roberto, and Leonardo were very accommodating. The food service personnel did a terrific job including Ciro and Alphonse. They are added an immeasurable dimension to our stay. Please extend our thanks to them. The only proble for us was transportation. But all did work out well for us.
the location was good for our purpose . Sorrento , Ischia , Napoli < Pompei . Easy to find , and comfortable rooms. The food
The room was spacious, modern furnishing, good working air conditioning, great shower and of course the private beach was wonderful
location, view, noise of the road near the hotel
Very helpful staff! Beautiful room and very clean! I would definitely stay there again! Very good breakfast and dinner was also delicious!
Nice, renovated hotel. Very unpleasant surroundings.
Very good location, between railway station and old streets. The hotel is in a small street, rather quiet in spite of the central location. The internal decoration is handsome, service is good in general. Naples is an inexpensive city, with fantastic cultural heritage (the old streets, Vesuvio, Pompei, Herculanum -- and the National Archeological Museum, don't miss the wonderful Roman frescoes!). The washbasin (water draining) in the bathroom was a little bit blocked. Breakfest is rather miserable (a very common thing in Italy). But above all, Napoli's streets are nowadays full of rubbish heaps (problem with the Mafia). But this is not a problem of this hotel in particular.
Staff was very friendly The hotel is in a bad location
The feature i liked best was the informal atmosphere. There was nothing to dislike.
Well equipped and clean room, good service and a kind and helpful staf. Breakfast buffet not sufficient to our standard.
The hotel is close to the railway station and not far from the historical center. very dangerous location! Familiarity and rudeness of the staff. One night the receptionist rushed into the room without any warning or knocking about 5am! it's outrageous! I wouldn't recommend it to anyone to stay at this hotel! If only for one night to take the train to another place
Very nice room at a reasonable price. Staff very helpful and friendly It is located in a horrible area!
Near Stazione Centrale Hotel is not 300 metres from the train station as stated, closer to 1km. Reception was rude and unprofessional, room was dirty as was the bathroom. Very ugly decor. Breakfast was terrible, waiter was possibly mentally retarded, more concerned about getting people's room number than remembering their coffee orders. The only friendly staff at the hotel is the cleaners. Avoid at all costs.
Location, breakfast, staff Bathroom, room was not like in the website photos
Good value and nice people the cleaner smoked and our clothes were covered in smoke for days
It's very easy to find from the central train station. Nice size, aircon, wifi (not fantastic, but it worked), free breakfast (although with very basic fare, wish they would get some better ham). My room faced the courtyard and that was pretty quiet. I would suspect the street side would be a different story. For me the beds need replacing, very uncomfortable with little to no support. Didn't get a good night sleep there the whole time of my stay. Although the hotel itself if fine, the area it is in isn't the best. Lots of rubbish in the streets. Watch yourself when crossing the very busy streets.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Upon checkin, you received a brochure of locations of interest in the area and a detailed map of these locations.
Good location for station and Centro Storico. Felt safe. Staff polite and helpful. Breakfast a bit basic - plenty to eat but the cold meat was cheap and the fruit salad from a can. Air conditioning unit noisy.
relaxed atomosphere front bedrooms impossibly noisey had to request move
clean, traditional italian hotel, ideal location, staff very friendly and helpful the only thing lacking was the bar which did'nt have any wines to drink or in fact many drinks at all. The mini bar selection lacked inspiration
Good location. Every staff was very kind and the room was clean and has enough space for my family (3 people).
The room was extremely noisy. We didn't get any sleep due to the traffic we heard all night long.
comfortable bed the man in the restaurant at lunchtime is really sleezy, i ordered steak and eggs and when i asked where the egg was he looked at me and went "piff" and walked off. He is also the free shuttle driver and will only go when he is ready, regaurdless of the time that you order it. The area is most unsafe
4 star quality of the facility the airport shuttle is misrepresented on their website and also on yours. the shuttle is only for weekdays 9-5. We had to pay an additional 16 euro for the taxi--the hotel refused to pay. we chose this hotel because we wanted the shuttle service.
The overall ambience of the hotel & its rooms was quietly elegant. The free internet is a bonus. Only the location lets the hotel down.
The menu translation was bad because in English it stated baked pasta with mozarella and tomatoe, we were given pasta with tomatoe and ham. The hotel doesnt have a proper restaurant only a set menu each night with not so many options. The location is very bad. Be careful when booking because we received a confirmation for a classic room and were given a standard room. There were also no English cha
Friendly staff even though I wish there were more English speaking staff. construction around the hotel
We were treated very well. Due to construction, no shuttle to the airport
Very friendly and helpful
Location was quite far out of city centre. Needed to get local bus from outside hotel into centre - took about 15 minutes. Nowhere to eat in locality of hotel.
Free wired internet in your room. Good restaurant. 10 minute cab ride to the airport. The hotel itself is very nice. Clean and well appointed. It is not in a very nice area of Napoli. We only stayed one night and proximity to the airport was more important for us.
rooms are very comfortable The waiter on 28 Oct 2010 is not of 4 star hotel standard. He requires customer services training.
Good location to Naples airport - 10min, 16euro ride. Rooms are spacious and clean. Located in a not so good neighbourhood. Not very close to Naples city centre (although Tram is a available close by). Some rooms face busy Street so noise can be a problem. One odd thing was that we were told by reception that we were not supposed to bring any food in to the rooms with us? We had a small box with leftover pizza in it.
The hotel provided an excellent buffet breakfast which was included in the price. The view of the Bay of Naples was magnificent, particularly from the dining room. I also had dinner there and the service was excellent and friendly.
The hotel staff were great and the room was terrific. There was a great balcony and the view was incredible. The shower was awful. There was only a partial "door", and water got everywhere when you took a shower. We had to cover the floor in every towel we had in preparation for the swamp that followed. The pool also required swim caps which was weird and a big bummer because who wants to wear a swim cap?
Beautiful view of the castle, the sea and the mountains.
View is spectacular and the walk along the beach is great. Breakfast is good. Carpets and walls looking a little tired, but certainly everything is clean!
The room was cleaned every day and the sheets changed daily. The decor was lovely but there was a lot of unfinished work in this area. For example a fixing had been put on the wall and the plaster had broken away and no one prepaired the damage.
Staff were lovely. We had a problem with our room when we checked in initially and we were moved without any hesitation. Also, when we were leaving we asked for a recommendation for a hotel in sorrento and Monica, a fabulous lady helped us to secure a hotel for 8 days. This was completely above and beyond and we very much appreciated it. She had also recommended a beautiful place for dinner near the hotel. Good helpful staff working in a hotel in a new city for visitors are worth their weight in gold, this lady in particular was exceptional! No complaints about the hotel and the location was good. Naples is abit nuts though, 2 days is plenty!
The view was fantastic and the room was ok. Pool area was fabulous We were charged for items from the minibar which we never had. Were woken at 12 midnight on the first night of our honeymoon and told we had to change room. Told it was our honeymoon but got no welcome basket for it.
Sorry, not much. Breakfast overlooking the sea but inside away from the traffic is the best I can come up with. Hard lumpy bed. Pool closed on arrival. Refusal to provide iron/ironing board to tidy my dress before going out, curt to point of rude reception staff but most important no one smiled - not even once.
I love the location and room. However, the breakfast was the only poor parts. Their coffee is a shame of Italy. If the tourist comes to Italy at the first time and drank that coffee, they will all think that Italian coffee is horrible,,but the truth is one of the best. They should really change that coffee and stop serving conserved fruits, Naples has wonderful fresh fruits!!!
The balcony and the seaview The room The central location.
Really secure parking and free WiFi. Good outdoor table. It was difficult to find restaurant and shop nearby Hotel. Using public transportation was not good from/to Hotel.
Comfortable beds, good breakfast, very accomodating staff, although English sometimes a challenge Neighborhood a bit sketchy
everything the best from this hotel and staff
Parking, service & free Internet
Did not like the fact that we had to complain about getting put to a room outwith the hotel grounds. Whem we did they managed to find us a room, They had a really big group of people at the hotel when we arrived & was treated like second class citizens. We had booked B & B but when we came down for breakfast in the morning we wasn't aloud to sit in the diningroom & was told that it was only for the group of people. Was was told to stand at the bar & was given coffee & a small cake. When there was a full Buffet breakfast in the diningroom for the group of people. To us it looked like they had double booked
Naples is not the cleanest of cities. But once you step inside Hotel Joyfull, it's like stepping into another world. Excellent! Nothing.
It was very close to the Naples airport. Offered free wi-fi internet access.
Everything is new inside (furniture, equipment, rooms...) Spacious rooms Free, secure, underground parking (may get crowded) Politeness of staff Free internet; bring your own network cable, though! Convenient location to head to Pompei, Amalfi,... Breakfast buffet may be left unattended and empty at times Buffet variety just OK Location may be problematic if you do not have a car Neighborhood looks dangerous, but in fact is very quiet Not trivial to navigate to the hotel, even with a GPS
The room was clean and big enough. The location is indeed challenging but if you have a car and are passing by it does not matter that much. There is a Circumvesuviana station near by, just don't expect this 5 minute walk will be in a pleasant and tidy environment. The staff could be friendlier, it was ok during check-in but during check-out and breakfast we did not feel especially welcome. Breakfast really basic, juice horrible, only croissants and regular hotel jams and nutellas (it would do with a little more in a 3 star hotel). If you want to visit Naples and don't have a car, don't choose this hotel, it is far away, the neighbourhood very dodgy, you'll spend a fortune on cabs.
The cleanliness of the room. The location is unbelievable-a nice hotel in the middle of broken down area. The cab driver had a hard time finding the place and I had the address ---that was a little scary. The hotel is a very nice small hotel and close to airport. Restaurant being closed on Sunday and nothing else to eat. They did order a pizza for usl.
The friendlly helpful attitude of all the staff The directions to the hotel are very poor
Very nice, new hotel with friendly staff, free secure parking and free internet! We really enjoyed our stay there. It is located in a very shabby part of town, but that was more amusing to us than an actual problem.
Good room, excellent bathroom. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The free breakfast is good. Good value for money. Location is bad. In the evening it looks like a remote prostitution street. Also at least 5 km driving to the airport (the mentioned 2 km distance is in straight line).
It is a quiet place in Napoli and not far from city center. The staff is excellent and the food also. The hotel is very easy to reach from the highway.
We only stayed one night as we were in sorrento and we had an early flight home so it was convienient for us to stay here. It was close to the train station and Alibus to the airport which we used. The breakfast could have been better, no fresh fruit only tinned, the bread in the basket was hard and we had to wait until it was filled again, the machine for coffee was very slow and people had to queue to use it. Overall the hotel was nice and clean, our room was nice but bathroom very small. Because our room was at the front of hotel we could not open the window as the noise from the traffic was unbearable ( not the hotel's fault) so it was good that there was air con. If we had to do an overnight stay in Naples again we would stay here . Not a good selection at the breakfast, very noisy hotel as a lot of traffic outside.
location: close to main station, historic center and bus stop for the airport. Cleanliness of the room: excellent! towels: changed everyday! Breakfast: good to excellent for an '' italian breakfast '' ...
the location was excellent, close to train/transport station, very useful if you intend to do a lot of travelling to see all the Roman sights. some of the reception staff could have been a bit more friendly, but apart from that everything was ok.
It is very close the railway station. You can have a good dinner in the restaurant in this hotel. The stuff are not very friendly.
Very close to the Naples Central Railway Station (within walking distance)
Nice room, proffessional and very kind personal
Helpfulness of desk styaff (reopended car park late at night) \LOcation!
air conditioning was not good... rooms were hot
Big room, nice and clean, breakfast was ok, staff was helpful, computer with free internet access on the lobby, all advertised facilities were available, very good location if you want to travel around Naples - close to Circumvesuviana main station, close to the trains station, relatively close to port, bus stop for airport just around the corner, buses that take you to the city center have the main station very close to the hotel The neighborhood looks a little frightening (although we got used to it after the first too days, and there was no danger after all...:-))), rooms with windows on Corso Meridionale are very noisy, we had some trouble sleeping.
When I checked in, there was a young lady working the reception area. Mid 20s. She was excellent. I watched her handle diverse clientele with ease. This location would not function as well without her. The internet service stayed down. Hotel restaurant was overpriced for area and for level of service.
Big rooms. Very close to rilway station. Dirty locality. Took 48 hours to deliver laundry. Communication gap in English language.
very nice staff, confortable rooms, good price/quality rate
Location of hotel was inot in the best area for safety however it was easily accessible to the station.
Good location to the train station. Clean & offered free wifi. The location wasn't in the nicest part of the city & there didn't appear to be too much around the hotel.
close to airport
I liked the proximity to the main railway station, giving easy access to Vesuvius, Pompeii and Sorrento, without the need for a car. The fridge didn't work and the only solution was to repack all our things and move rooms, so we chose to do without.
the food in the restaurant was excellent as the services. The room was big and i enjoy my stay. The hotel staff is kind and good. The position of the hotel is perfect for me: in front of the circumvesuviana(the train that take you to pompei, amalfi and Sorrento),near the central station and near many shops!
Breakfast excellent, prices at the bar very reasonable for a hotel Staff too officious, not warm to deal with. This is a good hotel, Napoli in particular has a reputation for Italian charm its apity the staff don't show more of this side to guests.
Friendly and helpful, especially girl at front desk. She gave suggestions of what we could do in Naples. While it is very close to railway station, the area "felt" unsafe.
reat staff, very helpful. Good english and the place is new, only two months open. Very large rooms, close to the city center, Nathion Museum, churchs.
Rooms are spacious, clean and well built and maintained. Stay away of the Single Bed, it is small (that's normal in Italy), my suggestion is to book a double room even if traveling alone. Service was excellent. I work in the Travel Industry and I have been to hundreds of hotels Palazzo Decumani ranks high in my personal 4-stars list.
A quiet haven in noisy narrow streets, in a good position for most of the sights.
The Hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The hotel was near the centre of Naples and easily accessed by train and bus.Great hub for visiting Pompeii, Sorrento and Amalfi Coast. Initially difficult to find - address not located on local maps and some cab drivers had great difficulty finding it.
It was very quiet and clean with great rooms/bathrooms. Very safe. Unfortunately the location of the hotel in the Centro Storico part of Napoli means that while the hotel is very safe the actual district is not so safe or good for tourists (dark, narrow streets). I am a seasoned traveller and am not usually fazed -but this time I felt a bit anxious moving about. Maybe thats just Napoli ...?
Location is Perfect! Easy to go by foot to the old center and shopping area. Free parking!!! The selection for breakfast is not so wide but everything is perfect! The modern hotel just opened. Everything is high level!
Nice staff, clean room, internet working well. No restaurant in the hotel, ugly surrounds with very narrow streets and no parking available.
This newly renovated hotel is an oasis of calm in the midst of the endless bustle of Naples. It is located right in the centre of the old part of the city, in easy walking distance of all major attractions, and a number of excellent local restaurants. It has wonderful facilities and helpful staff, and is an ideal place for a visit to Naples. Highly recommended.
Good location - close to the old part of town. Good breakfast. Very friendly staff.
the staff were really freindly.
Excellent location, clean room and good breakfast. Extremely small room with very soft/worn mattress, safe deposit box in room does not work and extremely small shower stall (can't even bend down).
(1) Excellent location. 2 mins' walk from the station!! , (2) Cleanses of hotel lobby and (3) neat breakfast hall. Receptionist service could be better.
The best part is the location - right across from the train station. You can walk with your luggage directly to the hotel. The rooms were well appointed, spacious bathrooms, separate room for luggage - which was a plus.
very good ground floor staff... ie reception and concierge lot of construction work outside hotel
Overall the hotel and room were very nice. Breakfast was included and it was delicious. Also, the restaurant was very nice for lunch and dinner. I was here to present at a conference and the conference rooms of the hotel were nice and they provided folders, papers, pens, and water for participants. The hotel was right next to the central metro station which was very convenient to get on the metro and do some sightseeing. However, I don't think this hotel is in a "tourist area" and it is more where the locals go to catch the bus and the metro. The hotel is in a sketchy area and the room I had was noisy. I would not go out after dark. I was sexually harassed on the street one night while I was trying to get dinner. During the day was okay though. The room was also cold at night and no matter what setting I put the thermostat at the temperature never changed. The tv and treadmill in the fitness center did not work. Also, the business center was not available due to renovations. In addition, I asked the front desk staff what/where there was to sightsee and I was just given a city map with no indication of where things were located. The woman just circled a broad area of the map and told me to go there. That was not helpful at all.
The service of the staff was great. The food and room facilities were all of a very good quality. Nicely decorated hotel. The hotel is on Piazza Garibaldi, next to the train station and a bit noisy. This area of Naples is very dirty and to say the least tends to detract from the hotel which was the best out of the 10 hotels in Italy we have stayed in so far.
Bed was super comfy, the rooms were very clean, shower was hot and had good water pressure, the included breakfast was amazing! Only thing not so good about this hotel is the location. Right next to the central train station, which is convenient, however the area is sketchy. Lots of pickpockets
fitness room, parking poor breakfast, location
We dropped some cash in the lift and a staff picked it up and sent it back to us even before we realised it. His honesty should be commended! Housekeepers woke us up every morning at around 9:30am. Perhaps they could do the rooms at around 11 am without waking up the guests.
Internet access was an important feature of my choice of hotel, and this was inoperative for my stay, which as it was a business trip caused great inconvenience. On a more general point, I feel it ridiculous that wi-fi access should be charged for in addition to standard room rates, it is now such a general requirement, an essential.
Small balcony overlooking city. Decent bathroom Service was abrupt almost to rudeness. Breakfast was poor - cold coffee and stale pastries. Ripped off by the taxi that the hotel called for us.
location near the train station but not easy to reach.
the staff was quite friendly and the breakfast was decent in comparison to several places around the train station behind the hotel was pretty loud from about 5h in the morning
It looked like a reputable hotel from the outside. The room was hot and when we rang the concierge, we were being told that the air con is shut from 10pm onwards. It was ridiculous. The hotel was also next to a train station so it was extremely noisy.
Its localisation was very good for me close to central railway station and metro, not so far from the old-historical part of the Naples, the neighborhood seemed a bit suspicious, but there were any act of agression at the streets aroud. The internet access was reglamented by the interent access recharge cards which you just had to ask at reception desk,( fortunatelly it was a promotion period and there were for free) I felt not comfortable to go 2 times a day for a 1 or 3 hour access.
the service of the staff was amazing a little bit far from the center but as they have the shuttle bus service that doesnt mind so much
The staff were very kindly and helpful. The surroundings of the hotel was terrible.
good breakfast,central position,
Value for the money is OK. The Hotel is located next to the railway line. The balcony doors are very good, the noise of the trains was only disturbing when the doors are open.
Clean modern interior, friendly and helpful staff, good facilities including business centre. Its location is convenient for the railway station, but the area is run down so not so pleasant after dark.
It was fairly central and quite easy to get on city bus tour and not far from main railway station
No free internet access
Hotel staff is nice and helpful, bus and train station just a few steps distance. By the way it's not realy centre, but walk along a shopping street easy to get there. Caffe is not that Typical Italien Espresso, but not so bad. Brekfast is nice: croassoint, ham, cheese, cereals, more kind of juice, fruits, tea, caffe. Around the hotel many african people are selling things, in the evening prostituts, full of rubbish the whole area. Could be dangerous, anyway we never had any problem with them, better to be careful and don't have with you all of your money.
Room was clean and airconditioned, Internet was charged per hour and did not work properly, kept cutting out. Waste of money
Good location, helpful staff and overall value for money
Walks to the city center, traint trip to pompei
Yes, good service with car parkering, with internet service, and the breckfast... and the place i Napoli, near the autostrata... no, ...only a little problem with the elevator.... out of order... little of the time
Booking system worked well. Hotel rooms and corridors were very, very dirty, walls were painted long time ago, for breacfast was served worm Juice and not fresh foodstuff.
The only thing which I like is location of the hotel - near the railway station. Big rooms. Needs reparation. No hotel's parking - only 5minutes walking and expensive(18 Euro). Generally not cousy.
Nice and helpful danish speaking italian man at the front desk. Central location near main railway station and bus station and close the old city centre. Ideal location for trips to vesuvius and pompei.
first of all ,the breakfast is buona! and the location is very close to the station and spacca napoli ,which you should go see first . the hotel staffs have very gentle feeling and helpful, napolitani veri!.
the localisation of the hotel was excellent. The hotel is on the 4th floor and you exit in Galleria Umberto, there is few bars and shopping area just downstairs. Even if it rains, you can stay in galleria and make some shopping I didn't like the breakfast, it not looked very fresh and small choice. My room has not the window with view on Galeria, but on the other ugly side.
The staff was very helpful and kind. They gave us a lot of good adivce and information to visit the city. The rooms wide and comfortable. The breakfast good and tasty with the possibility to choose between salty and sweety things! The location absolutely perfect, at the very centre of the city and above all it has been amazing staying inside a monument, Galleria Umberto. Ask to stay in a room overlooking the Galleria, you can enjoy a really special and unusual view!
Staff was very helpfull and friendly. Good location. Balcony in the room was small and view was not good. The hotel is not easy to find
The service at this hotel was exeptional. The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful which made our stay a real pleasure. As it is a small hotel, there is a real sense of being a valued guest and not just a room number. Our room was lovely, four poster bed, all very clean and well kept. We'd definitely recommend staying here. The hotel is a little tricky to find once inside the Galleria (there's a small intercom by the wrought iron gates if that helps anyone planning to stay!). We were lucky as our taxi driver showed us where to go but I'm sure if you call the hotel one of the staff would be more than happy to come and find you in the Galleria itself!
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They really seemed to want to make my stay in Napoli pleasant. They also made great breakfasts. This hotel is a great value, the rooms are very nicely furnished. I had a little problem with my room's AC but the hotel took care of it quickly with limited inconvenience to me.
intimate, beautiful galleria ,pleasant helpful staff, marvelous location--perhaps the best in naples
Unique location really inside galleria building. We can see Galleria from hotel room. Easy access from airport by Alibus. Free Wifi at the lobby.
English-speaking staff. Accommodating and willing to assist. Location. Accommodations were well-appointed, comfortable. Cramped with additional person. Insufficient toiletries (basic soap, toothbrushes).
Hotel decor spectacular, like living in mini palazzo. Staff wonderfully welcoming, friendly, helpful. Location excellent Nobody in Naples seems aware of its existence. So e.g. taxi drivers all know Galleria Umberto, but don't even know there's a hotel there. Landed there at night, no sign of life, asked residents of apartments in Galleria, but they had no idea either.
