10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is superb, we wanted somewhere convenient for Herculaneum, Pompei and Vesuvius. Portici is just a short train ride away from Naples and the perfect base for this part of our trip. The apartment was ideal for us, the hosts were very informative and even supplied us with a bottle of local wine on our first evening. Breakfast tray was simple but adequate. We would certainly stay here again. My tip would be to take the Metropolitano train line from Naples Piazza Garibaldi to Portici/Ercolano, great trains and very cheap .
Cons: Nothing to dislike
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Rossella and Paola (the owners) were so helpful and welcoming during our stay. They helped us find a taxi guy who we used several times throughout our holiday. We also liked that they sometimes left use treats to come back to such as prosecco, cake etc. The breakfast area was also quite varied and we were very happy with the facilities they provided.
Cons: The bed was slightly too hard for our liking and the stairs in our suite room were quite loud.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely AMAZING! Room with the view in the interesting historical building. The apartment is wonderfully equipped with new, modern style furniture. Is not far from the sea, to Erkolano — 15-20 minutes of a pleasant walk, 2 minutes walk to supermarket The number is very spacious, clean and modern :) Nearby from the train station (both of them)) It is perfect location either for long accommodation or for one-day trip Paola is a really great host and is always in touch! If I ever come back to Portici, would definitely book this apartment again!))
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very kind and helpful owner. Very nice apartament, located very close to the most interesting places. Despite the central location in the city, quiet and peaceful place! Grazie mille e saluti dalla Polonia!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect.
Cons: I liked everything.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful hostess (who insisted that we tour Naples in the afternoon, gave us lots of info, and spoke English!). Very clean and modern inside. Very close to Herculaneum (which we unfortunately were to exhausted after Pompei to visit).
Cons: It was a little hard to find (it's on the 3rd floor of a dilapidated apartment building), and I had a bit of trouble with keys. Parking can be a little challenging on the street (although there is a 24 hour garage across the street).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Incredibly nice place with great rooms and service. Paola is super helpful and friendly and the whole place makes you feel at home. Even extra requests are dealt with quickly and without any fuss. Highly recommend this place which also has excellent AC and soundproof windows with a small balcony attached. Location is very central and accessible.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything...really worth to visit, very frendly host
Cons: Absolutely nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We booked the Klimt apartment. It was very nice, so elegant and so spacious. From the balcony we had an amazing view to the central square to Portici and to the Vesuvio too. The apartment is perfectly located, halfway between Naples and Pompei. Naples 19 minutes with the ferrovie dello sato from the station Portici-Ercolano to Naples-Piazza Garibaldi. Pompei 20 minutes wit the Circumvesuviana train from the station Portici via libertá to Pompei. We had the most amazing gastronomic experience in our life at the restaurant Pizzeria Vesuvio di Petrone Luigi, the best pizza of our life. Thanks to Paola and Rosella we had a very calm and perfect holiday! :) <3
10.0 Excellent
Pros: There was a last-minute cancellation for a better room than the one we had booked, and our hosts kindly let us have it without any additional charges...! We're sorry about our puzzled faces upon arrival... That room was just WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY more than perfect for us, and we aren't used to having such devoted hosts!!!!!! Thank you so much for your time and useful advices!!!!! :) The hotel is located in a a very calm area, midway from the train station and the Circumvesuviana. It's definitely the cleanest (and well-decorated!) one we had during our stay in Italy. If you stay there, you also really have to taste the amazing takeout pizza from pizzeria Gallo: it's right across the corner! :)
Cons: Nothing, really!

Pros: Very centrally located and had everything we needed. Felt very secure. Mario was very helpful and suggested a *wonderful* restaurant that exceeded our expectations - La Tradizione (Thank you Mario!!). Only stayed one night on the way back to the airport but were pleasantly surprised by the location and quality of the accommodation.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room is very nice, clean and comfortable. The owner was amazing and helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Mario, our host, went above and beyond to make our stay at B & B Pietrarsa a memorable one! We had a fabulous time in Portici and the surrounding areas. We liked it so much we stayed an additional night. Mario was very informative about what to do in Potrici and other cities close by. He told us where to catch the train, and places we should not miss while there i.e. Pompeii. His restaurant recommendations were fantastic and we were welcomed and treated like family at the restaurants too! He even gave us suggestions on other places to see along the Southern coast of Italy. We loved the B&B and Mario made us feel like family! If we get back to this part of Italy we will stay at B&B Pietrarsa again! Rick and Donna ---USA
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The owner is very kind. Great service!
Cons: Hot water for shower should be better.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room and ensuite bathroom were clean, the heat worked, the bedroom was large enough for us. We used the microwave located in the hall outside our room. Mario was most helpful when he arrived to let us in. He directed us to the most efficient means of getting to Herculaneum and Naples--the reason for our choosing Portici. We were happy with the train and Circumvesuviana options. Just be aware taxis seem non-existent on the streets of Portici. We arrived by train and walked the 20 minutes up the hill to the B&B. We like to walk so it was ok.
Cons: 1. We should have known "Free Breakfast" was code for breakfast was to be provided off premises. Our breakfast coupon was for a trendy bar/cafe about 2 blocks away. The staff there was stressed and grumpy, the breakfast offerings were limited to pastries, and there were few places to sit. We found another place for our second day breakfast. 2. We probably will not use Booking.com again as the instructions for contacting Mario with our arrival time was buried in the 4 page printout we made prior to leaving for Italy. We read the check in time and were surprised that Mario was not present when we arrived. Later on, after pouring over the printout to figure out what we did wrong, we found that we needed to be call him. Mario was very pleasant about all this.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location in the centre of Portici. The host, Mario provided a perfect check-in and the facilities were honestly amazing - my partner and I ended up staying in a family size room because we changed the check-in date at last minute, so there was a lot of space. It's a 10min walk from the train to Naples. Very quiet. Snack, tea, coffee, etc. available.
Cons: Breakfast was not in the B&B, but nothing bad comes out of it.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room is very comfortable. Clean and modern. For a vieuw days will be this bed and breakfast perfect. The location is close by the city, Vesuvius and Pompeï.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The personal was very kind and helpfull. The room excellent with possibility to use a small kitschen with microwave and electric waterkessel, Nescafé and cakes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: In centre of town yet only 10 min walk to harbour. Apartment and parking is in secure, gated, community. Mario speaks excellent English and is very helpful. Fantastic value for money.
6.8 Good
Pros: Mario was friendly and very accommodating to our needs, including our late booking and early check out. We appreciate his help and good communication. The bed was hard but comfortable. Very close to shopping strip.
Cons: There was a very strong smell of mould in the room, which was very unappealing. Location felt very unsafe, we are glad we were in a locked up / fenced off area. Breakfast was provided and catered for our gluten free, however, a microwaved packed croissant and cup of tea / coffee was not our favorite way to start the day.

Pros: Delicious breakfast, The host Giovanni and his brother Alessandro were very kind and helpful:) Portici is a great spot to go on one day trips to Capri, Pompei and Napoli:) very close (20min on feet to Ercolano), Napoli and Pompei are 20 min by train (trenitalia) from station Portici-Ercolano
6.3 Good
Pros: Giovanni was very helpfull and the location is perfect to visit Pompeii and Ercolano
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I would have to say the staff and their attention to detail was very much appreciated. Alessandro welcomed me late in the evening well past the typical check-in time. The room and the amenities were very spacious and Also the breakfast, which consists of a cornetti and coffee are of a high quality and are enjoyed at a local cafe a short walk from the property. The small town vibe of the general area was nice and authentically Napolitalean and away from the busy Napoli centre.
Cons: Minor things to mention include the location of the town, the room storage cabinetry and the lack of food preparation facilities. Via Liberta is not well connected by public transport in the evenings and the only way to get to the property is by taxi which proved to be very expensive in my experience. While generous the cupboards have clothes hanging racks which are not very conveniently accessible. The provision of a sink for tap water and perhaps a microwave or something similar I believe would enhance the property.
Villa Preziosa - Portici - Bedroom
9
8.7 Excellent (69 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I like the staff, and close to the train station, underground and bus stop. excellent
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved it! It is a comfortable but simple place to stay. The hospitality and friendliness of the staff and nuns that are there is second to none. The room and bathroom were super clean and they changed the towels every day. The nun, that mostly looked after us and spoke English, even hung out our damp costumes to dry! The property felt very secure and safe too and there was a security system to gain access and also the nuns lock up the property securely every night.
Cons: It would have been helpful to have had a gate key and outer door key to gain access to the property if we had wanted to stay out later at night. Even though it was possible to inform our hosts if we were returning later than 10pm, this would have meant either they stayed up or (I guess) woken someone up to let us in. Luckily we had such busy days, we were normally back by 10pm at the latest! Breakfast is frugal but sufficient. It would have been nice to have had fresh bread rather than packaged crackers and a fresh pastry rather than a packet cake or croissant. There is a local supermarket so we usually brought some of our own food to supplement the breakfast.

Pros: I think the strength of B&B Savonarola is the kindness of Gilberto and the sympathy of Portici. Although the weather wasn’t very good, we had a wonderful time. We went to the local marked and we ate all that fresh food on the barbecue that we could use freely. I can recommend this place to everyone!
7.0 Good
Pros: Host was very friendly. In the apartment we could use the washing machine. The kitchen with food was open all the time.
Cons: There is a big problem with parking. The apartment is in the block of flats definitelly not by the beach. You have to walk 500 metres and go through stinking tunnel. The beach itself is very dirty and unpleasant. The area is noisy.

Pros: The host Gerardo is very nice and welcoming. The apartment is very clean and close to several shops and restaurants. Around the corner is a very good Pizzeria which Gerardo recommended. The area itself is not so great, but this B&B is a nice stay if you want to visit Napels or Pompei (we went by car). Also breakfast is provided to your liking. Gerardo picks up fresh bread in the morning.
Cons: Room did not have soap, but it's ok since I brought my own. Just a tip!

The family running it were also extremely nice with the owner speaking excellent English which was very helpful as a traveller who doesn't speak any Italian. They were also Happy to recommend some excellent restaurants in the area.

Cons: Could have had more cooked breakfast options.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in the villa attached to the hotel which was decorated in a modern design. It was spacious and air conditioned which was a plus in the height of summer. The staff and owners were very friendly and accomdating. The surrounding area was a little dubious, however the complex has 3 pools and secure parking ..a little oasis. We visited Herculean which was a 5-10 min journey, then came back to relax by the pool. We ate in the restaurant and food was good.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff when out of their way to make the stay very pleasant. Great breakfast.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely villa, very spacious plenty of room for the 4 of us. Pool facilities were great. 3 pools and plenty of sun loungers. The restaurant onsite offered a range of food options. All the staff were welcoming and helpful throughout the stay.
Cons: The kitchen facilities in the villa / apartment were minimal. No kettle, toaster, oven facilities the kitchen area was in the main bedroom which meant any food cooked on the hot plates left a smell in the room.
6.3 Good
Pros: Comfortable bed.
Cons: Shower did not drain well. Pool not very clean
2.2 Mediocre
Cons: This was by far the weirdest, worst hotel I've ever stayed at in Italy. There was NO ONE ever at the front desk. The restaurant "menu" was just photos, and it was in a horrible location. Wifi and 4G were spotty as well. Horribly uncomfortable beds. Do yourself a favor and skip!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff, the food, the cleanliness and the total comfort of the bed and bedroom
Cons: Food a little expensive...car parking difficult
4.5 Okay
Pros: Personnel is really kind. Food was great.
Cons: Awful place. Cheap renovation. Poor equipment. No water pressure in the shower. Curtains fall from the windows when you open them. The hotel looks great but this "red house" is not of similar quality
7.5 Good
Cons: Haphazard breakfast
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice spacious room, and delightful area by the pools. Great to get respite from hot summer weather. Staff were also helpful and accommodating with our local travel needs. Very quick walk to the local train with connections to Naples, Sorrento and Pompeii. Within walking distance of Herculaneum. Yummy coffee.
Cons: Loud (bad) music in the pool area, and late night karaoke on the weekends. Wifi patchy and did not reach to our bedroom.
7.5 Good
Pros: The room was clean and quite large. Bathroom was much nicer than it appeared on the photos. Conveniently locates just off the autostrade approx 10-15 min drive from the airport so a good alternative to the dodgy sounding hotels near the airport. Also close for Herculaneum and Vesuvius. We arrived at 12:30am to find the gates closed and unsure how to enter however we called the hotel and we were able to check in and showed straight to our room.
Cons: The area outside the hotel did not look like there was much there in the way of amenities and there were some teenagers hanging around across the road, however they were no bother and once we were inside the gates and parked we felt secure particularly as we were two women arriving late.

6.8 Good
Pros: Our room was very nice and clean. The beds were comfortable. Had the best cappuccino at San Ciro bar (location for breakfast)!
Cons: The area in which the B&B is located is not very nice - it is on the 5th floor of one of many apartment buildings in a gated community. Overall Portici is run-down and I would stay elsewhere. The B&B has a lovely kitchen but no plates, cutlery, pots, pans, glasses - nice kitchen but can`t use it (except for the microwave and the refrigerator). Also, the breakfast that is included is outside of the gated area of the B&B which is not very practical.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was lovely and we were the only couple there so it was like having the apartment to ourselves. Very comfortable and clean. The owner picked us up from the train station. The dining room and bathroom are shared . The kitchen stove is not useable. We also walked to the beach which was great and had the best pizza at local pizza shop
Cons: There was no communication or room service from the owner unless we sent her messages by phone
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff was nice and helpful.
Cons: Toilet seat was broken in men's toilet but there was another washroom.

Cons: The rooms were too hot!, the Fun they had was too small to move the air, with a roof ventilator would be way better

Cons: Bathroom. Shower was in broken cabin and needed to be cleaned
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The place has some of the friendliest staff I've met during my travels. They are helpful, understand your needs and do everything they can to ensure you have a comfortable stay. It's biggest plus I would say is its employees. Fabric Hostel is centrally located in Portici so one can go out and grab local food and things from the market easily. It's a place with good enough connectivity for people interested in visiting Sorrento, Salerno, Amalfi Coast.
Cons: The bathroom needs some repairs for the locks in the toilet and also a few showers need to be better.
