Any extra is really expensive: coffee 2 euro, 500ml water 2 euro, wine bottle 18 euro.
Friendly service, good food, great jacuzzi in the room ..
very nice for this resort the spa was poorly run and quite dirty in places, we all came out with coughs after a few days and would not use the spa after this.
bus to the ski lift everyday was like a personal taxi-excellent extra. no walking up that steep hill! room was a little too hot and could not ajust this
The external hot tub with a view of the alps and the breakfast!
Staff were fun and extra pleasent. Great spa.
Superb location, great staff
The staff at the hotel were warm and very helpful. The spa: very relaxing, very welcoming staff; excellent after exercising on the slopes. The dishes on the a la carte menu were delicious. I'd stay here again.
Small but nice SPA - ideal after skiing. no blanket only bed sheet so you have to sleep with full heating on, WiFi did not work, had to go to Irish pub in the village
The atmosphere that you can feel in this hotel is special. Every single room is different from the others, perfectly designed and very well kept... All is like you would like to be! But the most important and impressive think is the kindness of the young stuff and of the young and active owner family! Very suggested
the atmosphere no light in the closet
I like this hotel, i like Sestriere, i like ski, snow and mountains! Thank you for good vacation! Please, make breakfasts more various!
The hotel was comfortable and the staff accommodating but the tru benefit is the excellent location and superb family friendly surroundings
friendliness of staff and relaxed atmosphere
Good service. Nice view across the town Sestriere in clear weather! Soory, I did not pay for a battle of stiil water from mini-bar when I left your hotel. When I will be in Sestriere next time i`ll pay... Please, make an instruction about internet connection in a room, or rather make Wi-Fi for all hotel!
The location could not have been better, about 7 mins walk to the main ski-lift but yet situated on a square in the centre. The hotel is quite basic but is clean. It is classed as a 4* hotel, but seems more like a 3. The staff were incredibly helpful.
wonderfull mountan veiw from the room. Big balkony. Comfortable undeground parking is free of charge. Comfortable big sleeping bed. Night portier does't speeks English.
The accomadation was surprisingly standard, despite the reviews I had read. We were all quite satisfied with everything. It is a bit off the town center and the lifts. A pity there is no Wi-fi in the rooms.
location, view, staff, market, laundry, Wi-fi connection garage is very dark and tight parking spots (need better lighting system), access to master thru other bedroom and no windows in that bedroom
Friendly, helpful staff. Lovely views. Sunny rooms. Well-designed and laid-out hotel. Large rooms. Fridge did not work. Emitted very strong chemical smells. Water in shower was warm but not hot over the 5 days I was there. Breakfast average. No plug adaptor available. No flexibility on check-out time (10am).
Staff are friendly, helpful and always have a smile. Very clean. The hotel lacks atmosphere and is very badly insulated against noise from other guests.
Welcoming and friendly staff. Large reasonably appointed room. Sunny veranda Soundproofing poor in the room, therefore kept awake by noisy guests. TV too small for the room
Good location, close to town centre and ski slopes. Quiet, peaceful with free parking and decent breakfast hard bed
Staff were particularly helpful and contributed to ease of arrival and departure and assistance while staying. Restaurant was closed one night with little warning because of absence of chef.
Great location and well designed hotel. Being built for the winter sports market meant that there were solid floors everywhere which made it very noisy. Not much choice of food during the summer period.
Near the skiing areas and city The poor service
close to ski lifts etc and good value faciliities in the hotel all geared to Italian customers rather than other foreigners and the staff not that friendly or helpful
hotel staff does not speak English well, which caused some problem/s on communicating between guests and staff. the policy of the hotel stay that the guest MUST throw away his/her waiste and SHALL be checked before check-out, was NOT advised at the time of booking. This is not a fare rule on business manner to the customers.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and overall the atmosphere made for a relaxing stay n/a
The hotel staff made us very welcome. The hotel rooms were clean and just what we needed for a sking holiday. The hotel had an arrangement (free) with a ski shop slopeside in Sestriere where we stored our skis and boots. It also give us vouchers for a slightly discounted lift pass which helped. Food could have a little more variety but was well prepared.
The hoterl staff was ver nice. The hotel was not overpriced. There was an excellent selcetion of wine. The architecture
The hotel was close to the town centre and it's possible to ski back to the hotel. The beds were comfortable and we had a large bathroom. Friendly staff and good facilities. Our room had small windows and was situated under the restuarant, so at 8-9am you would hear foot steps. Breakfast was limited, but still reseaonable. Only Italian channels on the tv.
I liked the location and we had a view of the mountain. Breakfast was very poor. One of the poorest I have ever had. Bread from the freezer, still damp. Only one slice each and one bread roll, again from the freezer and heated up.
Staff friendly and helpful. Bathroom was excellent. Food was a litt;e disappointing
We very much appreciated the splendid hospitality offered by the manager, Francesca Buono, who in fact did the design for the interesting renovations that were completed shortly before the Olympics in Torino. She gave us a sampling of regional specialties, as well as information on restaurants and attractions, and she even found us an excellent local mechanic for our rental car. The hotel is nestled high in the Italian Alps above Torino, a perfect location for outdoor activities all year long. We were there only for an overnight on our way from Tuscany back to France, but we would certainly enjoy staying there much longer on another occasion.
Excellent service by friendly staff. Good hotel-ski pass deal. Very comfortable and clean rooms and facilities. Good food.
Modern fixtures and furnishings. Well maintained. Friendly staff. Staff failed to provide breakfast on time two of the four days of our stay (breakfast room was locked and lights were off). Room a little too warm; no air circulation without opening balcony doors which allowed noise and insects into room.
Quite and peacefull pleasant staff
The Manager - was the rudest women I have ever come across. If you made your own arrangements outside of the Hotel and she wasn't going to make a Euro or two out of it she turned into a beast. Never in my life have I been spoken to like that from someone whom was meant to be looking after us in our stay.
Staff was very friendly. Bus service to skipiste was very well organised. Good skipas discount via hotel Breakfast was very poor
Exceedingly helpful and friendly staff. Excellent food.
Only stayed one night but staff very friendly, room newly renovated. Walls very thin, Girl on reception in evening only spoke Italian but there was someone who spoke a little english and was very helpful.
Superb service attitude of staff; very helpful at every turn; couldn't do enough for you. Lovely dining room and great food!
Friendly helpful staff. Very clean. Enclosed car park. Excellent food. Very good value for money
Small, friendly, off the beaten track
Kindness and Elegance.
The room was clean and comfortable, and after several issues, the staff finally did try to be helpful. The food in the restaurant. It was of a very poor standard, hot dishes were served cold, the meat was too tough to eat.
We only stayed over night on our way somewhere else - arrived very late (just before they went home for the night 23.00) and had breakfast in the morning. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms spotless. The hotel had a cosy feel to it and is newly refurbished. The girl on reception in the evening didn't speak anything but Italian, so it was a little difficult to communicate. Last possible check-in is 11pm, as the staff go home then, so make sure not tobe late.
Very pleasant hotel, the big and spacious room, cleanliness, an order and service at very good level.
Nice location on a quiet street, with a lovely mountain view and a picturesque church at the top of its hill. Olyx itself is a nice town to walk through and is in easy driving distance to ski slopes and a myriad of valley and mountain villages. This small hotel is nicely decorated, very clean and well maintained. Good breakfast, and the restaurant is excellent for dinner. Service was friendly and helpful. Convenient, ample, and free parking is provided half a block away. It would have been nice to have lobby computer available for guest use.
Helpful and friendly staff. Super dinner and breakfast. Comfortable room despite not being able to control the air conditioning which was regulated by the hotel staff.
Very friendly staff, family run with excellent food. Transport to and from slopes. English speaking manager.
the staff were brilliantly helpful; they had a minibus and driver to get us to and from the slopes, and even gave us a lift to the train station in Oulx, free of charge.
friendliness and helpfulness of staff; the good food; perhaps more information re day to day events.I missed the afternoon tea, so often associated with skiing holidays - perhaps a less formal eating 'cafe`' where one could get a single course and coffee, might be worth thinking about.
Pleasant atmosphere, excellent hotel
Quite a large hotel and very friendly and obliging. For example we asked for late check out and we were allowed to keep the room up to 6 pm. We even exceeded that and it was no problem for the hotel staff and we were happy. Huge dinner at night was very reasonable price. Lobby area cosy and relaxing. My two children loved it - so did I. Our room for 3 was not so big and the third bed (mine) was not so comfortable and some chill air was getting in at night (it was minus 15 outside though). But the bedding was good. If I could have had a room with a bath tub I would have taken it!
