The actual villas, buildings and facilities are beautiful, keeping the Mexican style, with lots of green and quiet areas. Staff were very nice and not intrusive, polite and all spoke good English. We had friends staying next door at the Hilton and staff there were rude and annoying if you were just visiting while at Krystal they were nice with visitors and very considerate.
It's obviously run down and needs fixing and updating. Air conditioning in the room was noisy. I guess that's why the price was lower! that of course brings low budget crowd and over the weekend it became very loud, teens and young adults had their own music very high at the pool and it was a cacophony, far too noisy. We moved to the palapas on the beach and it was ok.
It could have been cleaner
I really enjoyed the location. It was a nice distance to the downtown and has a nice shopping center with many ammenities next to it. The beach was nice and very close.
The wait to check in was too long. Staff did not take the time to explain all that was included for the room. I guess if you don't do the all inclusive the staff does not give you the time of day. I got more information from booking.com than I got from the hotel staff. I found more things on my own out of need. The hotel had a nice pool but all the chairs were fool and it was had to get around. Too many people and way too crowded. The beach was not as busy because all the chairs were already taken up to the main pool so people had to lay on the sand and it was uncomfortable. I guess if I had done the all inclusive it would have been a better experience.
The location of the hotel. the food is very good and its price is reasonble.
The maintenance of the rooms is poor. I had to request to the staff to be changed from the original room. Problems were leak of water from the shower to rest of the bathroom. Filtration of water from the upstair room to my room.
there is too much noise in rooms no privacy at all too bad for a nice place
