8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, good but small swimming pool/rooftop. Good spacious room, no noise from the outside. Perfect to sleep.
Cons: It should have a bar/restaurant that we can hangout during extremely hot days. Needs just a little bit more personality.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good clean accommodation, perfectly located in the old town. Loved the rooftop pool for cooling off in.
Cons: The breakfast was a bit miserable. For the cost per night I was expecting a better cook, fresh orange juice etc. We waited 35 minutes for eggs. My poached eggs still had the cling film on them and were served on cold stale bread. On the second day we went elsewhere for breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel in a quiet street in the old town. Close to sights and bars/restaurants but not too busy outside. Lovely pool to cool off in. Staff so lovely and happy to help with booking onward transfers to parque tayrona for example.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's a gorgeous, stylish hotel in the best part of the historic walled old city. We felt like we were in the lap of luxury for a budget price. The staff is also adorable and very efficient. We were blown away by the comfort and luxury of our room across from the pool.
Cons: Better pressure in the shower would have been good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: really great value
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely lace, beautifully done. Lovely staff
Cons: All good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location in the Walled City is perfect. I stayed in 4 hotels during my trip to Colombia, and this was by far the best breakfast. We needed to book transportation to Santa Marta for our next destination, and the staff took care of the arrangements for us. They booked us the speediest bus, and they ordered us a cab at a fare rate to get to the bus station. This would have been difficult for us to figure out by ourselves, but the staff at Gastelbondo made it easy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast, decor and staff were great! We came here for our honeymoon and loved how quiet it was.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is just beautiful. Not that many rooms so you feel treated on a special manner. All the workers are very polite and helpful. The breakfast amazing. The room fantastic (bed, tv, bathroom) I hope to come back some time in the near future
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is very clean and has comfortable beds. The pool at the top is nice with space to sun bath if one wishes to. Also a big plus was that they had a larger breakfast menu compared to other hotels we have been to in Colombia. No need for scrambled eggs again for breakfast!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, lovely staff, beautiful public spaces, peaceful oasis.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel exceeded expectations. The staff was superb.
Cons: Cartagena is too crowded. This beautiful hotel was a refuge from the endless numberof tourists.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everyone was so accommodating and friendly and did everything to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Not to mention it is beautifully appointed and in a wonderful location. The food is excellent as well. Even better than in some of the local restaurants. I would greatly recommend Don Sancho, and in fact, already have!
Cons: Such a little thing, but we could not get into the closet easily to put away our luggage because the rug was pulled over too far and the doors wouldn't open. Easily fixed!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The stay was astonishing. Everything was perfect, the facilities, staff was of great sympathy, the food delightful (the octopus specially). It is like you are in your own palace. It only has 5 rooms so the service is individualised. The meals were vary with an open menu. Located in the historical center so it is easy to visit the historical sites and walking around the walled city.
Cons: Breakfast was not a buffet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really beautifully maintained and staff are friendly
Cons: Nada!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was an absolutely amazing hotel, one of the best I've stayed at in Colombia. Whole hotel, while relatively small, is very well decorated in traditional colonial style, with big, open rooms and high ceilings. Bedrooms and bathrooms are very well decorated, comfortable and beautiful views to the internal courtyard. A very relaxed vibe, with lots of plants and very little noise from the street. Beautiful roof terrace with hot tub and an area to sunbathe or have a drink and watch the sunset over the city. Staff were exceptional from the moment we arrived and were extremely responsive, whilst not being intrusive. Breakfast was perfect and very plentiful, with both European and Colombian options. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel but the menu looked good (and reasonable). Would definitely stay here, it is a relaxing oasis within the heat and busyness of Cartgena.
Cons: Nothing to note here, except the pool is quite small and is located on the ground floor so not ideal if you're on the higher floors.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The interior design and architectural renovation of the property was exceptional, the room and bath super beautiful and chic. Hotel has only 6 rooms and suites, staff was very, very kind and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, made to order, the rooftop was beautiful with sights to the sea and the historic neighborhood.
Cons: I cant think of anything, I loved it!! it exceeded my expectations!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the service was outstanding ... the entire team made you feel extra special... specifically Frank and Carlos.
7.0 Good
Pros: The roof is very nice. You can see the sea from the roof. But careful you will with the sun
Cons: The lack of the sun at the swimming pool.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff, location....far from the big noise

Cons: Lighting in the room was lower than I would have expected
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was amazing! The breakfast was delicious! The location was central and close to everything.
Cons: I loved everything!!!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful classic building, excellent location (quiet but easy walking distance to all of old town), wonderful staff who helped us immensely throughout stay (to book scuba trip, expedite breakfast, and get us taxi last minute).
Cons: Rooms a bit too deodorized, no windows in room so minimal natural light (but that is because it is an old/classic building).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful., which meant we really enjoyed our stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a lovely place! Good facilities, large rooms and good location ! Staff are super friendly and helpful.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, unique building in a more local part of the old city than others. Excellent service. Nice breakfast included. Great and reasonably prices spa service. Big, unique rooms. Good location. Offers an amazing retreat in a beautiful city. Relaxing pool in lobby and nice rooftop tub with great views. We were even greeted with the most Delishious mint lemonaidd. And their candle game is on fleek.
Cons: Hard to think of much. Building across the street is under construction so i'd ask for a room away from that until it's done.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff were all very friendly. They provide excellent service. They are answering all the requests very promptly and nicely.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: breakfast was very nice...
Cons: The Stairs... I knew there would be stairs but didn't think much about it until i had to go up and down them... it took a toll on my back!! MY NAME IS ROSE...I WAS ROBERT'S GUEST...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff greeted you every time you went downstairs. They help to you book excursions and tell you what the best restaurant is in town! They were overly helpful!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is truly an incredible hotel. The grounds are beautiful, an old Spanish colonial home that was converted wants to 10 years ago. Our room was one of the best we’ve ever stayed in, both comfortable and luxurious. The hotel is located in a quiet part of the old city, and a short walk from everything you want to see.
Cons: Nothing! Fantastic all around.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful breakfast, top quality food and service! Beautiful, luxurious ambiance and setting. Among all friendly, attentive reception staff, Eliza stands out in exceptional service and providing us accurate, very useful information.
Cons: A suggestion to hotel management: While encouraging staff be enthusiastic, offering help to customers, please also emphasize that they should be authentic and avoid overpromise. One woman reception staff (seemed to be in charge) promised a lot, didn't deliver, and there was no follow up the next day (regarding to an inquiry on food tours).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place can only be described in one word: AMAZING!!! The hotel and its architecture are just fantastic. You truly wouldn’t want to leave the hotel. They are so detailed oriented that you’d be amazed even by the wide selection they have for pillows. Yes, I said pillows! In addition to the fantastic facilities and the wonderful staff, Casa San Agustín has also an amazing restaurant called “Alma”. This one is for sure among the too 3 restaurants in Cartagena. So make sure you try it!!
Cons: Nothing. Everything was simply perfect!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST HOTELS, I HAVE EVER STAYED, BEAUTIFUL, CONFORTABLE, THE FOOD EXCELLENT!!! AND THE PEOPLE HAS A GREAT SENSE OF SERVICE, THEY REALLY KNOW HOW TO TREAT GUESTS!!!!! THE INSTALLATIONS WERE PERFECT, AND CENTRIC.
Cons: I CAN NOT SAY OF ANYTHING I DID NOT LIKED, EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT DURING MY STAY!!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was stunning and ideally located in the city. Staff were extremely friendly, and the facilities were gorgeous. I also had a wonderful spa treatment!
Cons: The WiFi was quite weak in the rooms and restaurant areas, but great around the pool and in receptions.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved everything, especially the staff at this property! The nicest personnel ever! Cheery and helpful!
Cons: The ambiance is wonderful! Food excellent! Great Spa services.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The service was amazing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were so friendly. everything was walking distance from the hotel. pools and decks are beyond beautiful. cleaning staff came into our room every time we left to clean up (we left them a nice tip). they accommodated us in every way possible.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The historical architecture makes for a fantastic setting. The facilities are first class and the food is superb!
Cons: Slightly misleading online advertising about their private beach, internal costs for things like the spa and day trips to the beach are exceptionally high for Colombia somewhat offsetting the reasonable accommodation prices
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Casa San Augustin is in the best location. It is simply beautiful, very comfortable where everything has been thought of to make your stay the ultimate luxury experience. The staff is very nice, the food delicious. We really enjoyed staying there.
7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel itself is set in a beautiful building with lots of character. Beds were among the most comfortable we've ever slept in
Cons: In general, however, the hotel was disappointing: - An intimation of what to expect was at the outset as the towelettes at reception were not fresh - Breakfast choice was quite limited. We had dinner at the hotel once; it was quite stodgy, and I wouldn't recommend it, particularly in light of the many fine restaurants and excellent food elsewhere in Cartagena - Do not organise trips through the hotel. In our experience the hotel takes a big override on the cost and did not properly describe what would be provided
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The good: Very nice staff. Beautiful indoor pool and charming architecture. Comfortable beds. You cannot beat the location. The bad: On our first night they put us in a terrible room (#105.) DO NOT ACCEPT THIS ROOM. ASK TO SEE YOUR ROOM BEFORE ACCEPTING. The room was dark, noisy, with a tiny window and a bathroom that was not air conditioned and had a window opening to the street that could not be closed! Again, be careful with the rooms because some are terrible. In the end, however, after staying in a decent room for several nights but which began to smell of sewage we were moved to a lovely room. The other issue is that the menu doesn't change and, after several days of the same selections we wanted variety. Overall, if you get the right room, it's an excellent hotel with very nice staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautiful. The staff is always willing to help to make sure your stay is unforgettable. The restaurant ALMA, located in the hotel, is one of the best restaurants in Cartagena. If you are going to spend time in the hotel and are with someone special, this is the place to stay. Unlike the bigger luxury hotels in Cartagena, this hotel offers a more personal/intimate service since there are only about 30 rooms! One of my favorite parts was the coconut treats that the staff leaves in your room every night, which are made in the hotel. I liked them so much, i bought a dozen to bring back with me!
Cons: There were very few down sides to our stay, but there was some pressure cleaning of the pool area being done at night until 2am, which was a bit load/disturbing. Also, there are some parts of the hotel that you have to be quite in since some guests complain about everything (the roof sun deck is one of those areas)!

Cons: Breakfast was ok - I was expecting to be amazed but it was nothing more than a 5/10.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Overall the hotel was beautiful, the staff was helpful & friendly, and the service was very good. The pools & pool bar was by far our favorite place to be.
Cons: Oddly, we kept having to ask for items in the room to be restocked or replaced; coffee creamer, washcloths.

Cons: The phycal facility is good
8.5 Excellent
Pros: The attention was great, everybody is on top of their work and want to make you feel good all the time!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel with nice rooms and common areas, gorgeous pools (the pictures online don’t do them justice), striking views of the ocean and bay, and a quick cab ride to the historic downtown. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Was the perfect choice for my family which included my husband, teenagers and my father and brother. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely property with some of the friendliest and most helpful staff we have met. We celebrated a birthday during our stay and a surprise cake and balloons greeted us when we were shown to our room. Beautiful high ceilings in the rooms with excellent air conditioning. Large bathroom with Loto del Sur products and lovely big fluffy towels. Very nice breakfast with a number of choices and good coffee. The view from the rooftop pool is beautiful and the bar staff there were so attentive. We ordered some poolside food and when it took a bit longer to come than expected we were given a drink on the house. Small touches like this made our experience at Sophia Hotel a stand out one for us. Many thanks to all the hardworking staff at this hotel!

9.4 Excellent (388 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Cartagena (Urbanizacion Eliana), Hotel Peira House is within a 10-minute drive of San Pedro Claver Church and Convent and Puerta del Reloj. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The place is clean and comfortable and the owner is very nice person!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: A very big, comfortable bed. Nice and good working AC. Friendly staff. The city center is not too far away, but you have to take a taxi. We usually paid 8000 pesos one way. The airport is really close by, so you can even walk to the hotel.
Cons: The breakfast was good, but it was "only" eggs, 1 small arepa and two toasts, plus a little bit of fruit. As I don't like eggs, there was not much left for me to eat. The shared bathroom was ok, but when we were there, the sink was leaking and the floor was always very wet. Our room seemed to be in a part of the house, where you usually put the garage. We didn't really mind, but the street noise was quite loud and there were some insects in our room one day, which came out of nowhere and were pretty disturbing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Best to stay in the historical town if you are desiring a very romantic visit to Cartagena.
Cons: Best to stay in the historical town if you are desiring a very romantic visit to Cartagena.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Huge rooms, friendly run boutique hotel
Cons: Noise from street.

Cons: Room on street was noisy others not so
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean , nice
Cons: Away from centre , near to airport
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Every time we wanted to enter a member of the family or the housekeeper had to open the gate. It says Hotel but it's just a home where they rent out 2 tiny bedrooms with no windows and a shared bathroom.
Cons: I found multiple long, curly female hair in my bed. The place isn't clean. Also there were ants in the bed. The location is right at a very high traffic part of a big street. Overall a very negative experience.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff that went out of their way to help us. Clean quite space and a great value. You could walk to the airport, but with luggage the taxis are inexpensive.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful hotel staff! We had problems with a booked bus. They called the company and made sure we got finally on the bus. Thanks!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable. Helpful staff. Good breakfast. Great location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is extremely attentive. All the reviews that praise the service and staff are accurate.
Cons: Pool is small (but private) and there is no gym, but it is named perfectly as a boutique hotel. I was not really expecting there to be a gym.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel in an amazing location
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: All the staff members are making everything perfect all of them. The room the food the view the place. They are friendly. The rooms are perfect.
Cons: Nothing !! I hope that the owner of this hotel give the staff members a good salary and somedays a bonus. Because it is a expensive experience this hotel. And all off the staff are fantastic and keep this hotel running there was work on the electricity. So we had no electricity that was not so nice. We dont speak or see the owner about it. BUT all the staff was verry helping and doing everything to help. Special compliments for Martin and Randy!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The service was excellent and the included breakfast was amazing (mostly typical breakfast from Cartagena)! Juan took great care of us during breakfast and his service was on point every day! Roberto, Jessica and another young lady (I'm sorry i forgot her name) helped with restaurant reservations/recommendations! The hotel is very intimate and well done, only 12 rooms. The rooms were great, but my favorite part was the shower (strong pressure, which feels amazing after a day of sun tanning)! The roof top pool is perfect for having a couple of drinks, while getting some sun! Loved this hotel and will return! The overall experience was more than we expected (and we had high expectations)!
Cons: Make sure you request a room that does not face the street, since the taxi's are more than trigger happy with their horns! Also, there are two night clubs across the street which will keep you up if you are a light sleeper! Guess that stayed in rooms that face the interior said that they could not hear anything!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, good quality vs price.
Cons: No sun light in the room.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful location, wonderful staff, great breakfast.
Cons: Only comment is that the standard rooms, though lovely, are quite small and have a window on a dark closed courtyard. But given the rest, would stay in one again!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This little hotel is amazing! The most amazing staff (special thanks to our receptionist - he is a very welcoming guy) is so attentive and friendly. Many of which even speak english which makes everything a lot easier for us (not Spanish speakers). The hotel serves great breakfast with a great variety of “international” but also Colombian specialties. Last but not least: the bed was the most comfortable on our entire colombia trip!
Cons: There is nothing negative to say! Only thing that could be improved is wifi reception (complaining on a very high level here) and just as a suggestion: german guests like their “wurst” at breakfast but I’m not sure whether it’s even possible to arrange that in Colombia :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel interior is beautiful! The rooms are lovely, it was a really nice touch having L’occitane products. Breakfast is great and service excellent. The living room area of the hotel is lovey to sit and have a Mojito take in sounds of Cartagena! Staff extremely helpful it was a great hotel to start our trip off in Colombia!!

Featured amenities include express check-in, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service at this hotel, every time we were lounging by the pool or even the first day when we were waiting for our room, they gave us small snacks to eat while we were on the property. The 3 breakfast choices in the morning are all great and worth trying. Lastly, the property is in a great spot, quick walk to all the major sites and bars! The rooms were spacious with great AC and they replenished the waters daily and had nice toiletries by L'Occitaine
Cons: Only one slight flaw, there was no restroom on the main floor/lobby-kitchen-pool area. So while we were waiting for our room and also the afternoon we hung out by the pool, no quick area to use without going to your room.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, great location in the old historic center. The hotel is beautiful, there is airco in the rooms. The breakfast is very good and more than sufficient, multiple options.
Cons: The tours they offer are overpriced versus the previous hostel we booked through.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautiful and the service is great. Would definitely stay there again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great! There was so much attention to detail, from the welcome drink, to the chocolates left in the room and the afternoon complementary tapas. The breakfast was very nice, everyone is super friendly, it is totally worth it to stay here.
Cons: Our room was on the ground floor so we could not really open the shutters to get sunlight. I would recommend taking a room with balcony upstairs if you like natural light. Nevertheless, everything was so good that this didn't matter much in the end.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: No mini bar in the room, no hotel bar
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location: in San Diego, a few steps from the historic Center and very close to the place San Diego with its great restaurants. The equipments of the rooms were perfect (at last a real shower with power and truly hot water!). We had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the street and had no trouble with noise thanks to the double-glazing of the windows. The breakfast was freshly made and healthy and the decoration of the hotel and rooms is exquisite.
Cons: Do not expect a real pool where you can swim: the two jaccuzi are only small ponds to refresh!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: V good service
Cons: No hot water
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was excellent, all of them are great people. We enjoyed our stay at this amazing house, and we are organizing a trip for our parents to go to the beautiful city of Cartagena and stay at the Cartujita since made us feel at home!

Pros: Casa la Cartujita only has 7 rooms so the stay feels more intimate and personal. The staff is very helpful. They helped us with paces to see, making reservations, giving general advice about the area. I can on a special occasion and They helped me surprise my girlfriend.
Cons: The hot tub does not get hot. Besides that there were no issues.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was gorgeous. The location was excellent.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The morning buffets we're for sure my favorite meal at the hotel. The staffs were super helpful, attentive and super sweet. The hotel alone is just relaxing and very clean. I didn't have one complaint throughout my stay.
Cons: The dinning staff should be more hands on around the food buffet. I seen a couple flies on top of the bread/ fruit station. I Hope they find a better solution for food coverage.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: the breakfast was simply and strange taste. it will be better.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It‘s a very calm and relaxing place. Their gym is very well equiped. The stuff was helpful and friendly.
Cons: We had breakfast included, everytime when we finished breakfast the stuff brought us the bill, where you had the option to tip. I‘ve never had that in other high range hotels, so this was a bit odd.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This place is amazing, you feel like a queen all day, the super friendly staff treats you so well, nothing is too much for them. Super breakfast buffet. Great and affordable food in the Italian restaurant and the restaurant at the beach. We are a family of 4 and we normally don't stay in such luxurious places, but for our last days of the trip we were looking for something nice. And with one room with two double beds it was doable. The room was very big and the beds too, so that was great. Free water provided. There's like 7 pools to choose from. Great private beach too, with another swimming pool. We had a super fantastic stay, thanks a lot to all the staff.
Cons: Nothing really, perhaps that It is a bit far from downtown Cartagena, so if you plan on going there a lot, this may not be ideal. They do offer free shuttle bus twice a day, but it gets full quickly, so you should reserve a seat well in advance. Taxi to Cartagena is 50.000 pesos. Cartagena is wonderful, especially Getsemani.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The view was the only thing that i liked.
Cons: The resort had a spectacular view and the cleanliness was great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I disliked breakfast. No bacon, poached eggs. Found potatoes for breakfast strange.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Above all, the service - by far the best I have ever received in a hotel. Plus a beautiful design, clean and spacious rooms, great and quiet air-con, wonderful view. The swimming pools are really nice and clean, and don't smell of chloride at all. The beach and thy gym are ok. The location is good if you like to be in a quiet, isolated place. Our daughter had health issues and the hotel staff made a great effort to help us. There is a nurse in the hotel all the time, and they made a doctor come from Cartagena at the expense of the hotel. We were impressed. A big plus is that there is a Kids' Club, you can sign up the kids for activities lasting between 10 am and 6 pm, for the cost +/- 15 EUR. We found that the best food was actually the one order as room service.
Cons: We were unlucky as the first room we got smelled bad of humidity. We asked for a change and we were given a slightly smaller and noisy room - on the top floot, just under the big engine of the hotel's air-con. Only the third room was perfect and we lost too much time and effort moving stuff, packing and unpacking. In such an isolated hotel it would be good to have a small shop with basic food supplies - you do not necessarily want to eat in the restaurants all the time.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Awesome private beach, nice golf course.
Cons: Property looks run down when you look closer. Room was dirty when we moved in. Service quite slow.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Monica at the front desk took the time and effort to provide a suite upgrade after a poor checkin experience. Miguel at the beach pool area was very attentive. Edwin a bell man was very friendly and helpful throughout our trip. Others I don’t remember there names however all staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: Limited dinner selection. Ala the property was remote so the taxi ro Cartagena was substantial. Beach was not great. These were the areas that were not great
6.8 Good
Pros: Hotel property, pool and golf course
Cons: Small and very poor dirty beach area. Restaurant food expensive and not at the level it should be for the cost of the hotel. Location is long distance from everything.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff. Delicious breakfast. Upgraded to a beautiful suite Very centrally located - a calm oasis
Cons: Lift not working
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Welcoming, warm staff (with special mention to Vivianna); the rooms and particularly the comfort of the bed and the amazing shower; the plentiful, delicious breakfast each morning; and the phenomenal rooftop pool. The common areas are serene and beautiful, and the hotel is centrally located within the walled city.
Cons: The concierge staff, while very responsive and helpful in advance of the trip, dropped the ball in following thru on all reservations and we missed out on a day trip to the Rosario Islands. The mishap was apparently due to a miscommunication with a former hotel employee. The hotel ended up treating us to a very nice city tour, but we were disappointed to have missed out on the island excursion. This was avoidable (hotel staff confirmed the itinerary just days before the trip); however, things worked out relatively satisfactorily in the end, and the hotel staff was very apologetic.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: facilities where great, as well as staff was very friendly. Food is delicious as well.
Cons: rooms are zero noise proof, you can hear everything happening outside the rooms very hard to rest in the mornings with all the staff cleaning other rooms and making a lot of noise! Also the beds were not that confortable, the sheets would roll over every night and we ended up sleeping just on top of the mattress, i mean this is a luxury hotel, beds and sheets should be a priority. Other than that the hotel was beautiful, staff was really great and roof top pool was amazing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and food, very nice rooftop
10.0 Excellent
Pros: breakfast was excellent, staff very friendly
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful boutique luxury hotel. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Great location in Cartagena. Amazing roof top pool!
Cons: Some of the amenities could use some updating (i.e. wood floors, gym, etc.)
6.3 Good
Pros: Swimming pool on roof was pretty special, although not enough loungers by the pool, and was a bit small.
Cons: Breakfast service was poor. Arrived at a busy time, and was ushered into separate AC room by my self. Had to walk through 2 doors to get to the breakfast. Ordered some pancakes that never arrived. Not what you expect from a 4 star, definitely not a 5 star. Hotel is also particular about bringing someone back to your room even though you have paid for double occupancy.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: interior and materials used confortable beds and linnen rooftop pool and lounge friendly personel
Cons: the half day tour organised- we would not recommend it
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff attention, rooms, pool area. Great service, nice looking facilities right in the middle of the walled old city, spacious rooms. Our waiter at breakfast and by the pool Alberto Jose was great through all our stay
Cons: As this is a mid size boutique hotel noise is all around the rooms, from the hotel staff, restaurant and some guests arriving late at night... our first room the a/c didnt work well so they had to change us to another room not the same size and more close to the hotel noise.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service and great location. I stayed with family for 3 nights, Jorge B and his staff at the Governor restaurant were fenomenal accommodating my two teen daughters picking eating habits.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was absolutely incredible. A huge variety of food. The room was clean daily and the staff was amazing- the guy from the reception went by foot to a restaurant to check for us if they had vegetarian food. The pool is clean and with an amazing view. Best value for the money!!!
Cons: Nothing it was perfect
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Just about everything. The beds very confortable!! The restaurant “El Gobernador” best meal in Cartagena!!!
Cons: We were never able to use our coffee maker in our room. They should be checked to be sure they’re working. Coffee in bed is a must!!!

Pros: Beautiful place, enjoyed especially the roof terrace. Location was perfect, easy to walk to the old city and to enjoy Getsemani. Rooms looked beautiful, and had a lovely shower.
Cons: Only point of attention would be the breakfast. Although it tasted nice, I would expect a bit more choice (the majority of choices was egg-based).

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Overall good, easy checkin. About 7 mins in taxi from the old city. Very clean and bedrooms are nice. Breakfast is decent too.
Cons: Please not there is no hotel shuttle. I had emailed at least 48hrs ahead of arrival with no response to the email. I arrived prior to my friends and ending up getting a taxi - 15 mins from airport, asked for shuttle for my friends as they arrived late, was told there is none.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel and very kind staff. The area is safe. We would walk to get a late night meal past 8pm.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location, stylish, spacious and clean room, good bathroom, fast wifi, OK breakfast (the fruits were delicious, the coffee was the usual Colombian affair), the staff was mostly polite and friendly.
Cons: I specifically asked for a quiet room during the reservation process, but the one given on the first floor was nothing but quiet: I could hear all the noise from the street, from the corridor and also from the reception area. The second night they were cleaning the ground floor, talking, scrubbing, pushing furniture around until 1:30 at night, and it felt as if they had been working in my own room. Since I had to leave quite early, I really wanted to sleep, so I went down three times to ask them to try to make less noise, but it didn't make much difference (and the night receptionist's attitude just made the whole situation even worse). I would never stay here again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a cute hotel. Clean and comfortable. The double king bed is very comfortable. The breakfast is good and plentiful and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It is located a 5 minute walk from the beach, and close to shops and restaurants. If you stay here, pay the extra for a room with a view. Overall we were delighted and will definitely stay there again.
Cons: There is not a lot wrong here. The lift is a bit slow. Nothing else to complain about.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was immaculate, great room with a big comfy bed. Really good location and staff were so nice. Only downside was lack of pool but there is an outside deck area
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We only stayed for a short amount of time but for the time that we were there, the staff were welcoming and very helpful. The hotel is located near the public beaches and is surrounded by a bunch of locally owned shops and restaurants. Definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to stay in Cartagena.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Room and bathroom were pretty big. It’s very well located. Staff was very eager to help us get a taxi every time we went out. Location is good.
Cons: Room does not have black out curtains. Our room was on the seventh floor but the elevator went up to the sixth floor. The hotel doesn’t have a pool.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is on top of things ! They are all very helpful , polite, sweet and are always there for you ! The breakfast was awesome it’s a buffet and changes a bit every day. They also offer lunch which we had once really delicious. 8.0 Excellent
Pros: The house is beautiful, in a quiet area, near the sea side and 10 minutes from the city center. They have a very good, daily changing breakfast. The terraces and the pool are great! The staff is incredibly nice and friendly.
Cons: Our room was quite disappointing, with a window, looking at a very nearby wall. Air condition was loud, but effective. The bathroom and toilet were very poor. There was no door, separating this area from the room. There was just one main light in the room and no bedside lamps.

Pros: Very nice hotel with big terraces and a pool. Rooms are very comfortable. Short walk to the old town.
Cons: The staff's English is very limited.

Cons: Nothing at all!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This stay was amazing! The house/hotel is beautiful, the rooms equally charming with shower right next to bed (divided by stained glass). Air condition was working perfectly to soothe hot and humid Cartagena days and ceiling fan to keep the night cool. Breakfast was more or less the same, but delicious and served with care. The staff is great, very warm and attentive, they really made our stay more welcoming.
Cons: I honestly can't find a single thing we didn't like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was where we spent our first 2 nights in Colombia, having arrived very tired from a 40 hour journey from NZ. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The hotel is charming and a delightful oasis in the heat of the day. They allowed us to use the downstairs shower to freshen up and get changed, and gave us cold juice. We were then able to check in to our room early, at midday, as we had arrived at 8.30 am. Breakfast was a different cooked dish each day, with fresh tropical fruits, juice and coffee. The place has a lovely calm atmosphere, and the girls who looked after us were just wonderful...thank you to Maria and Cindy. Comfy bed, with ensuite in our room, a ceiling fan, a/c, and doors out to a terrace overlooking the lovely pool.
Cons: Nothing....it was perfect.

Pros: The location was very convenient, and close to many restaurants and stores. The breakfast was particularly good. It was served at the table and not in a buffet style. We appreciated the large complementary bottle of water given and the availability of AC. The staff was helpful and nice.
Cons: Other than the bottle of water, the fridge was empty. The availability of a mini-bar would have been handy, but given the central location of the hotel, it may not be necessary.

7.5 Good
Pros: The staff was friendly, the breakfast was fine and the rooftop is nice, but small.
Cons: The room was very small, dark and hot. The AC only works when you use the key, so it takes a while until the room cools down. The hotel is nice, but small. I don't think it's worth the price we paid. Climbing three floors with luggage is not fun.
