The wonderful pillows and comfy bed. Plus lots of towels!! Truly appreciate that That I couldn't open my window.
Bed was so comfortable. Refrig was very spacious for our cooler contents as we were on a long trip. Breakfast was very nice. Staff friendly. Well planned practical room setup. Bathroom smaller but did like toilet area and sink were separated with door.
Sleep number beds were like sleeping on clouds best night "sleep" i ever had. One of the lamps didnt work in the room no big deal .
The size of the room and the soaking tub. I did not like the way the staff treated me when I had complaints about my room because they messed up on an upgrade. There parking garage I could not get out of and was stuck waiting for 30 minutes for technical support. When I voiced my frustration about this the staff was very rude and used vulgar language which caused me to do the same. I will never go back here
The room was nice, the toiletries were standard to nice and there was free water. I liked that the gym was 24hours as I like to work out late. Beautiful location and close to restaurants. Very quaint. They had sleepnumber beds but the controls did not work.
Love being able to walk to downtown and having the marina with a walkable waterfront there. We did a makeshift picnic on the marina :-) nice, clean rooms and great shower water pressure, one of my priorities, ha! The marina side doesn't seem to have an entrance and it is very dark back there at night, especially at the edges of the building on the southwest corner.
Check-in was quick and the room was acceptable. It was clean and there were no major issues. I would have preferred having a fridge in the room. I know there are some rooms with this option in this hotel.
The concierge was friendly and very helpful.
Quality room with all the standards you'd expect, including mini fridge and microwave. Wonderful staff. Pool and hot tub til midnight. And the best continental breakfast ever. Yogurt parfait, waffle bar, bagels, juices, cereal, frittatas, sausage, potatoes. Great location.
It was newer construction No privacy curtains
Clean rooms--I am picky. Close to highway and restaurants. Provide washer and dryer for guests (just make sure you bring your own laundry soap, they charge $2 for 1 laundry pod!). It seemed the cleaning staff was hoping I would leave, so they could clean room. They opened my door to room with key, which bothered me, and it was only 10am ...check out was noon.
Loved the gym, huge breakfast and clean rooms. Very friendly staff from housekeepers and front desk to managers and kitchen help. They all met us with a smile. I wish the gym and the dining area had a little more room since it was a busy holiday weekend. I also wish the gym had a better weight area and not just treadmill and cardiovascular machines.
Accommodations and service. Price
I really like how the manager handle her self when we had problems she was a wonderful person I didn't like how my kid got threatened by other people while I was staying there..
Friendly staff, clean & updated rooms, huge family pool area, outdoor seating, nice breakfast variety, nightly complimentary adult beverages and snacks @ bar. Facility was undergoing renovations during our weekend stay so there were some minor piles of dry wall dust & debris in hallways and stairwells but those did not pose a health or safety hazard. Cost seemed a little pricey but we made our reservations at the last minute when room availability was limited. Would definitely recommend this facility.
beds good, food was good, clean overall, didn't use the pool but it looked fun if u have kids, the 7-10:00 breakfast is more like 7-:9;40, as they decided they wanted be out the door at 10:00 and broke it down very prematurely. Go early if you actually want to eat.
The pool area Will call BBB and file complaint
We needed one night close to MKE for early morning flight. The shuttle drivers were fast and efficient, however, I don't think they were hotel staff. The front desk clerk was. Very sweet and handled all of our needs. They have a breakfast but we missed it because our flight was early so cannot comment on that! Never saw or used the pool or any other facilities. The room however was dark and dank and felt dirty/sticky. There was a ring of crusty dirt around the bathroom door handle. The room was clean as far as the linens, but just neede an update as far as carpet and heavy duty cleaning. Vents dirty, corners dirty, etc.
Seemed nicer than most hotels in the area. Loved the bathroom toiletries and the nice handwritten note. Starbucks Coffee was a plus also. The walk to the room was extremely long. Don't think the hotel was that crowded, would have been nicer to be closer to entrance or elevator.

Clean and very nice hotel They did not offer a cot for in the room due to it being a fire hazard. It was the first hotel that has that as a rule, I've never heard of that before.

Beautiful hotel that's being updated right now, in transition from one brand to another. There is construction in some parts of the hotel. The pool was closed often due to maintenance to the overhead areas. When they are finished, it will be awesome. I did not like that I was not made aware in advance of the construction and the fact that the pool might be closed during a holiday vacation. We chose this hotel because of the pool facilities. They did offer passes to the YMCA if the pool was closed.
We were in a renovated room on the fourth floor. It was clean and spacious. The floor itself was quiet as far as other guests go, which is important to us. We felt like we had the wing to ourselves. There was some construction and highway noise. We are fairly early risers and it didn't bother us but it might be an issue for others who are sensitive to noise.
Location and price Dirty. Dated. Mild in pool room. Noisy heater. Not a 3 1/2 star.

Being as this was a slightly older hotel complex,I was impressed with the cleanliness of the room and that the furnishings were in excellent condition. The location is less than 2 hours from downtown Chicago... parking was free and so was the wifi.
The size, the bathroom, restoration of room, the bed is awesome.
location was great, friendly staff Pool was nice plenty of towels no frige in rooms no microwave in rooms no extra blankets in rooms
Room service is only til 10pm
The staff were friendly. We didn't find evidence of bed bugs. There were always two staff in the lobby, but only one was serving the long lines at all times of day. It was the last available hotel in Milwaukee, literally, so we didn't have a choice. The regular daily rate was about $75. The day we stayed it was $200. I understand rates go up as availability goes down, but I wouldn't have been happy paying $75 for a motel, $200 was absurd considering the accommodations. The floors weren't carpeted, which would have been fine, but they were constantly slimy, for lack of a better word. It was gross having the choice between wet feet/socks and wearing shoes into the bed.
Bed was soft. Dirty sheets. With pubic hair and other debris on the dead. I requested new sheets they probably changed the sheets. But the floor was not swept or mopped. So the sheets got ditry from our feet. Cool cleaning job red roof.
Price and location Durty, lights by the sink did not work. Toilet water level to full to use. Nodisposable cups/glasses in the room to use. Ice bucket had holes.and leaked water.
Location, we were 15min. from downtown and just off the interstate. Good breakfast location right down the road. The Oak Creek Diner, I highly recommend the biscuits and gravy but it was all delicious. The rooms were pretty clean. For the money and a place to lay your head it was a decent place to stay. Every time we went to use our room key it would not work. We kept having to take it to the front desk. There was another couple traveling with us, I booked the rooms then when we got there they put there room in there name and paid for it. They still ended up charging our card twice for there room.
I would go elsewhere.
Very clean, no shared hallways, very quick and courteous staff. The rooms look good with their faux hardwood floors. The bed quality was mediocre and the room was small.
cheap and easy to get to room smelled like smoke, stains on bedspread
Convenient location, cheap Too many dogs. Lots of loud barking til very late
The location is definitely convenient for breaking up a long drive from the U.P. to Chicago and the night staff was friendly. The bed was comfortable to us, but that's arbitrary as people's level of comfort varies so much. I found a piece of plastic under one of the bed pillows, the door jamb was ripped partially away from the wall (room 213), there was a little cockroach in the bathroom, and the florescent light advice the sink flickered bad enough we just left it off.
The staff was friendly The hotel was outdated, the beds were uncomfortable and very low. The bathroom had huge holes in the walls that were patched but done very crappy!!!! This hotel is so crappy and is badly in need of some repairs and updating!! I will never stay at this hotel again!!!
Owner was friendly. Decent size fridge in room. I did not expect much for the price I paid. TV was not clear and gets 1/3 of the channels because of the digital switch from analog. Owners haven't upgraded. Floors were dirty.
Staff was extremely nice and accomodating The elevators were old, lights did not work Hotel looked run down.
Our 2nd floor room faced west, which allowed us a view of the pond and countryside. Out our front door was a view of the pool. I wasn't impressed with the breakfast...no fresh fruit. But the coffee was good.
We were completely satisfied with this hotel. For a decent price it was clean, in good repair, and we had no complaints. The staff was kind and helpful. We'd stay again.
The staff at this hotel is exceptional!! I stayed at this hotel June 2010. It was around 10:00 PM when I was driving to the hotel, dark, raining and lots of construction around the airport (not by hotel but enroute to it). All the exits were closed that my GPS tried to reroute me to, and I got into a risky looking neighborhood. I called the hotel and asked for directions from my location. The young woman on the phone was wonderful, gave me directions, stayed on phone with me until I navigated out of the risky neighborhood and let me call her back 3 times. Most of the staff at this hotel were generous with their time, even though it was obvious they were very busy. The hotel was clean, comfortable and the breakfast was very good.
I thought the LaQuinta was fine. Hotel employees were very helpful, the maids woke me up each day - ready to clean. Hotel was clean, neat, door 'key' cards worked really well, much better than the swipe-it credit card type. The only issues I had were 1) a small microwave per room would have been nice, as well as 2) a small refrigerator. There was an ice machine on the floor, but a small refrigerator would have been a very welcome addition. There was a slight amount of noise from the adjoining rooms and rooms above, but nothing outrageous at all. I would certainly stay there again without question. 5 or so miles from the airport and they do offer a free shuttle service. Applebees is located in the same parking lot w/the hotel, and there are several other places to eat within 1-5 miles. Oh yeah, AC seemed to work just fine as well - the windows only opened about 4 or 5 inches though. IMO the windows on floors 2 and 3 should be able to open all the way, or half way at a minimum. Very decent stay-
The rooms are reasonably priced and Applebees is close by. However, the shuttle service doesn't start til 7 am, so if you have an early flight (we had a 6:11 flight) the shuttle cost is added on. Its $8, which can make the difference between this hotel and one with free shuttle. Otherwise, its clean and quiet.
Motel was used but clean. Staff was somewhat sloppy in dress, and overly casual in manner. Room was clean. High Speed internet was failure. Thermostat in room provided freezing or warm temps only. Alarm clock after being set went off all night long approx. every 2 hours but not at set time. Wake up call did not come and desk help was unconcerned about it. Circulating fan for building cooling system started screeching about 11 PM and did so for 2 hours before night manager came up.
Exactly what I expected, glad there is a waffle machine and an Applebee's across the parking lot. Wish it was by more bars and restaurants within walking distance, but not too far by car.
It's not the Wyndham so don't expect it to be. It's a good location and price when going to the WI State Fair. We came, we slept, we left without a problem. Everything was good enough for what we paid.
This place is fine if you need a night's stay before catching an early flight, but it felt a bit run down.
Stay here at your own risk, I was shocked to see a bed bug on my pillow. The front desk seemed a little too blase about this when I was freaking out! This hotel serves a lot of airline industry workers so I can only assume they brought one in from another destination. I was terrified I may have taken some bedbugs home. They moved me to another room and I think I made it out of there okay. It was a clean hotel, just beware of the bed bugs!
Very nice and plesant staff. Rooms were very clean. Everything excellent except for the beds. It was cold in Milwaukee upon arrival but it was very nice walking into our room and the heater was already turned on and the room was warm and comfortable.
LaQuinta is seriously underrated. This is my 5th or 6th time staying at a LaQuinta, and I'm a believer. This hotel was, like the others, just what you want. Nice desk and very comfortable office chair, nice cushioned chair, and the sink OUTSIDE the bathroom. So convenient for someone showering while someone else is applying makeup and what not. This hotel was convenient, clean, and inexpensive. The ONLY issue I had was that the continental breakfast ended at 9am so we missed it. That seemed pretty early to me, and of course the time isn't publicized in the hotel info. Other than that, I had no complaints at all and I would recommend this unit highly.
Very pleasant people, friendly and eager to help. Service seems to be a forgotten commodity these days. But not here.
Worse stay at a hotel! The shower head had a huge amount of mold growing on it the room was horrible and staff was extremely rude ! There was people fighting in the room next to me and kept me up all night. The pillows are very small and worn out. I woke up with neck pain. And the hotel charged me 69.00 to stay here and it's extremely cheap looking and very run down place. The television is very old and blurry and the cable box is located on the wall behind the tv so you can't change channels and you only get local channels with a few hbo channels. Not worth my money at all and if I could give negative stars here I would. I would never recommend this place to anyone! One of the 2 beds are a bit softer than the other and you have an entry from outside to the parking lot from the hotel. There is only 1 floor
They were surprise I wanted to stay the night at check in. The woman behind the counter even double checked to make sure I ment the whole night. Probably the most disgusting room I haveseen in years.
Great price clean staff great Nothing
Good breakfast, room clean. No elevator. A little pricy given the area and distance from Milwaukee.
The room was updated and the bed was comfortable. The door to our room did not shut tight. We could see out the door on the right side, towards the bottom of the door.
The bed was comfortable with enough pillows to watch TV. Breakfast was very good with a nice selection. nothing

Nice staff and clean room

Bedspread was dirty. The outside door did not latch unless you pulled it shut.
Good breakfast. Looks like the hotel had a recent rennovation. We stayed on a Saturday night. Sunday mid morning there was alot of loud noise when we were trying to nap, some kind of work going on near our room. Manager offered to refund our night. Even though it ruined our morning we felt satisfied with the solution
Nice size room and not outdated.
The staff was wonderful, nice, helpful, great attitude. The room was very clean, probably the cleanest hotel bathroom I've ever been in. Appliances were clean. The pool area was very nice & clean. Plenty of towels. The workout room was clean. Just a great night. Need a good comforter for the bed. The room was hot, had to turn the air on (in Jan in WI). That was odd, but much better than being too cold & the a/c worked great, just a little loud.
I was very pleased with my stay here. It was clean, the service was prompt, accomadating and courteous and the location is conveniently right off the freeway. Any renovations mentioned in previous reviews must have been completed, as no work was being done during my stay. Every time seemed new and tidy. The room itself was small, but that's honestly all I need when I travel - a comfortable place to sleep. I'm out doing things during the day anyway! Though the single king size bed room was on the smaller side, it was very clean, tidy and comfortable. The air conditioning worked well and there was a little fridge and microwave in the room. I've stayed at more upscale joints that didn't have the fridge/microwave and they really came in handy. Oh and if you're a McDonald's fan, there is one that seemed to be open 24 hours literally right next door, along with a couple gas stations. One of the gas stations carried beer too, which was a nice surprise! N/a
The beds were really comfortable and it was over all a nice place to lay down at. The fan was so loud, but I got use to it.
Really easy to find, not to far from allot of things to do and see. Good food really close by. Easy on and off the interstate right there. The breakfast was really good in the morning. The pool is a little smaller but my kids had fun. The beds are really comfortable. And some rooms even had 3 beds. The only thing I didn't like, was I wish the bathroom light turned on without the fan turning on also. Otherwise it was a great hotel for the money.
Very clean spacious rooms. Easy on/off freeway. Restaurant in hotel, had good food. No refrigerator/microwave. Sleep Number bed did not work, bed was brick hard. No continental or any type of breakfast offered. Snack/beverage section at front desk, was sadly maintained for variety. During a 3 hour storm power outage, no communication by staff.
Most enjoyed the adjustable bed. Room was underequipped compared to other places I have stayed at in similar price range. I am a disabled vet no attempt was eithr offered or made to accommodate me until I asked. Food accommodations were ok although food selection seemed limited in variety. Toom service itself I found good. Portions were also good as was the flavors of what was served. No microwave or fridge. Food menu and selection seemed limited at best and somewhat middle of the road in types and quality. Server in jeans and hoodie. No distinction or sense of prestige in appearance.
The location was good, staff was friendly and it was clean. The beds were horrible. One was hard as a rock and the other was so wore down the pillow top was gone, flat sunken in to the bed.
From the moment we walked in it was a great experience! Josh greeted us, told us about everything we needed to know and answered questions. The room was CLEAN! Super clean! Even the pillows smelled fresh and new! Good sized TV, beds, desk, bathroom. The pool was AMAZING! It was warm like bathwater, the hot tub was fantastic! And the continental breakfast was the best I've ever seen in this kind of hotel; eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, cereals, pancakes, bagels, fruit, yogurt, juices, milk, coffee, even hot chocolate and more! With breakfast included I figured we saved our family $60 by not having to eat out at a Perkins! I was impressed that the rooms were so sound proof, there was a loud group of people with their door propped open directly across the hall, couldn't hear anything they said after our door was shut! Amazing stay, the negatives were so minute that they really don't matter! When I have another trip to Racine I will stay there again and recommend it to any friends or family traveling as well!! Ice was on first floor (our room was on the second), my husband didn't like the bed (I thought they were great), the building was super warm (which is good if you're going to the pool, not so good if you're wearing sweaters and jackets and hauling all your stuff to your room), and the elevator is creaky sounding.
The beds and pillows were like sleeping on air. Best nights sleep I had in a long time! Our room was near the elevator and we didn't hear all the noisy traffic. Customer service was super. Recommend this hotel. I didn't like the fact we did not stay longer.
Pool stay open later good breakfest very well Nothing
It was close to the places that I needed to go to. I didn't like the bug's in the room and when I showed the clerk the bug's, she said, she would leave a note on the managers computer. They never offered to move me to another room and when the manager finally called me, I, was already back at home and he only made me a token offer of points on my card. Now, you ask, why didn't you just go somewhere else but, I paid for this room thru a web site and know from experience that getting refunded is like pulling teeth.
The housekeeping staff does not change all the bedding, resulting in a raging case of pink eye that caused me to lose hundreds of dollars in work. Disgusting.
Room was clean and the price was right. Chairs in room were stained (little concerning), and I think their internet router was hacked because my firewall detected a "DNS cache poisoning attack."
everything. It was like home away from home. We actually didn't want to leave
