Giardino di Pietra - Ragusa - Bedroom
1
9.8 Excellent (326 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Giardino di Pietra in Ragusa, you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Palazzo Sortino-Trono and Palazzo La Rocca. Featured amenities include luggage storage, a safe deposit box at the front desk, and coffee/tea in a common area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had the nicest room we have ever had anywhere, in a wine cave, newly and most tastefully done. Round king sized bed, huge tub and shower. Enter off an alley into the room onto a balcony overlooking the room. Gorgeous lighting. Other entrance into a spa area and around the corner from reception. The breakfast area was 4 flights up on a terrace with lovely views. Delicious breakfast. My favorite part was the six homemade jams put on every table. Elena, our host, could not have been nicer or more helpful. We parked in public parking at the entrance to Ibla and she picked us up and returned us to our car when we had luggage. When we wanted the car in between, it was only a 10 minute walk to the parking lot. And lastly, the location was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We returned for a second stay in Giardino Di Pietra because everything about it is wonderful! The villa is beautiful, as is the location and setting and the thoughtful hospitality from Elena and her family makes you feel like it is your home for the days that you are there. It is such a relaxing break and yet there are so many choices about how to spend your time, easy bus trips to beautiful baroque towns, wonderful beaches, or the beauty and offers on your door step in the wonderful setting of Ibla. This time we went to the Marina de Ragusa and Punta Secca, both fabulous. Recommend eating in Enzo a Mare a sea front restaurant in the latter, with amazing outlook. Also watch the sun fade with a drink from the terrace restaurant on the steps up to Ragusa. Can't beat it - Elena, we'll be back soon!
Cons: Nothing! Only we couldn't stay longer!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Elena and Simone were wonderful hosts. Genuine hospitality and nothing was too much trouble. Great suggestions on how best to enjoy Ibla. The B&B is in a lovely old home, easy walk to the Duomo and with a great view across to Ragusa. Loved listening to the church bells from across the valley. Fantastic breakfast.
Cons: Nothing! Everything was perfect!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Elena was very friendly and after picking us up from the car park, she kindly helped us with our luggage up the many stairs. Lovely to have breakfast on the terrace with good coffee and fresh cake, pastries and homemade jams. Good key system so we could come and go as we pleased.
Cons: Too many stairs for our liking, particularly with our 2 small dogs. Car park was a bit further away from the property than we were expecting. The rom was a bit drab compared to the bright photos we saw online and our balcony was only big enough to stand on.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a great time at the Giardino! Great welcome, amazing breakfast on the terrace and really well located in Ragusa ! The house is really charming , go there you won’t regret!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Elena, the owner, was very helpful. When we couldn’t find the property, she sent her husband out to find us so we could follow him back to our room. They went above and beyond to make everything comfortable
Cons: The stairs. I didn’t see an indication that it was not handicapped accessible
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was the most wonderful place to stay in all respects. Elena is an excellent host. Friendly, relaxed, knowledgeable and funny. The view is unparalleled in a town made for views and the rooms are spectacular. Breakfast on the terrace each morning was perfect. Don’t miss it!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great couple operates facility and were gracious enough to pick us up in community parking lot at designated time because our rental car too large for narrow city streets...and of course return us. Also nice having breakfast on terrace and staying in palace with 13’ high decorated ceilings.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The young couple running the guesthouse were warm and welcoming, and happy to provide advice and recommendations for places to visit and things to see. The accommodation is in a lovely old family house which has been tastefully decorated and furnished. Full of character, but comfortable and had modern bathrooms. The generous breakfast (with freshly made coffee and home-made jams) is served on a lovely terrace which was a great start to each day.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel, just behind the Duomo. Very stylish. Nice host Katia. Always ready to help. She kindly book a restaurant per my request. Breakfast was very nice. Lots of different sweet/savoury choices. Traditional Sicily food.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The relais has only been in business for four years. Staying in a freshly refurbished building was an added plus. Due to the corner location of the building, the rooms were airy and bright. Our host, Katia, was pleasant and welcoming. She speaks English and provided helpful information. She clearly made an effort to provide a breakfast which was artfully displayed with all sorts of local offerings. We looked out on a spectacular view in an atmospheric setting. Thank you, Katia, for a wonderful stay in your special town!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location right behind the Duomo. View of the valley and an easy walk down the hill to the square. Lots of great restaurants and shops. The B&B is warm and welcoming. The rooms are cozy and immaculate. Ragusa is definitely worth the visit if it’s on your journey.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Katia Drive to guide us to the hotel when we could not find our way. She is a gem and is only satisfied when her guests are truly happy. Her attention to detail is exceptional. One guest lost a cell phone and Katia went and found it. She explains in her usual soft manner the components of her breakfast offering. And on it goes without end, a lovely person doing her very best to make you feel special.
Cons: The location is a little difficult
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Had a English TV station. 1st one on a week.. Beautiful room, nice size bathroom. Katia was super helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good, nothing special. Typical breakfast.
Cons: Nothing g to do with the hotel at all. Driving was really hard to get there
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Katia, super host. The room with a view over the duomo rooftop, lovely location (note the location sits above the main town area therefore there are a few stairs to consider). Comfortable room and very good bathroom facilities. Breakfast is a Sicilian adventure to be savoured. Coffee facilites available all day in the communal area. Free car parking on the street if you can find it; our host had "created" a space for us, therefore no issues.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a great location right next to the Duomo! Be sure to ask for the Terra Room, with its lovely balcony facing the Duomo and the hillside beyond. The room was exceptionally clean and equipped. Katia, the hostess, gave excellent instructions and advice; believe me, you will be sad to leave her when you check out. Her breakfast spread was a full sampler of Sicilian breakfast delights. I wish I stayed longer here and less time elsewhere in Sicily. I felt very comfortable in the hotel and its location in Ragusa Ilba.
Cons: As always in the old towns, driving on the narrow lanes is a major challenge. Just accept the extra work to reach the hotel because it is worth it. Oh, I forgot to mention the staircase to reach the rooms, good exercise, no?

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ragusa Ibla is one of the highlights of our Sicily adventure, with some of the most charming narrow streets, tiny piazzas, lovely gardens, and panoramic views of any Italian town. We must have taken 500 photos in our too-short one day visit. One of the most splendid views is available from the terrace of Intervallo Guest House, where we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast with fellow travelers from around the world. The accommodations were recently renovated and modern, a little tight but priced so affordably I can’t complain about anything. You’ll need to be able to navigate stairs, both to walk up to Intervallo and to climb to your room. The staff were wonderfully welcoming and treated us as longtime friends. Un’esperienza perfetta.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great view at the town of Ragusa and a very nice breakfast!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best breakfast and rosy and giusy were the best host
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Guisy and his staff were wonderful: helpful and friendly and the breakfast was outstanding with delicious homemade bread and preserves and lovely cakes and cheese etc. Great view from rooftop terrace and easy to walk around the lovely old part of Ragusa from this location. Highly recommend.
Cons: We drove there and it was a bit tricky to park and find the place but now we have got to understand the street system and road network in Sicily better we know what to expect.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to tourist office, close to bus stop and walking distance to main square.Parking area close by.On the top floor there is a common kitchen with free tea and coffee facilities and a living room leading onto a terrace with a view of Ragusa. Cons: Stairs to get to the B&B and further stairs inside with no lift.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The view on the terrace is Perfect! And the Staff is really nice and helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Giusy - the manager - is a very nice and helpful person. When we arrived it was raining so she picked us up from the parking (which was free) with her car. The breakfast is delicious, contains of local specialities like ham and cheese, plus great coffee. There’s magnificent view from a balcony.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was one of the best places we stayed in Sicily. The hosts were fantastic. it is in a beautiful location with amazing views
Cons: Just a tiny detail we noticed that the humidity in our room was very high.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Design little hotel with an amazing view of the beautiful Ragusa Ibla. Friendly staff and very good breakfast. Great value for money
Cons: One night it got a little bit noisy. Our room was under the common space and a group of guests moved furniture from one place to another. I went up and ask them to keep it quite and they stopped. Probably this situation wouldn´'t had happen if the hotel had staff overnight.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved this place, especially the fantastic view from the roof top areas where you could sit in the evening and for breakfast. The staff member who welcomed us and made breakfast was fantastic and provided exceptional service - she gave us lots of information about some great places locally that we would never have found without her advice. She also gave us information to help us for the rest of our trip in Sicily. There is access to tea and coffee and an honesty bar.
Cons: Our only negative comment was that we had the room on the ground floor which was a bit damp.

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Sabbinirica in Ragusa, you'll be just steps from Palazzo Sortino-Trono and Church del Purgatorio. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and laundry facilities.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It was charming, well located, and the staff was lovely and helpful. They quickly picked us and our luggage up from the parking area and brought us to and from the hotel which is very necessary given the distance and the steep climb from the parking lot to the hotel. Also the breakfast was well done.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful building and lovely rooms. Good breakfast.
Cons: Not a criticism of Sabbinirica itself - but it is not easy to find and although the hosts came to fetch us in their car - it is quite a walk to the parking area on leaving. There are quite a few steps in the BnB - possibly not suitable for small children of older people.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location. Unique architecture. Great view.
Cons: Lots of stairs to get to property and you have to bring your luggage. Cannot drive car to door. Hard to find.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: it is located in ZTL so you will need to park 6 minutes away on free parking (quite small) and go up. the room was super stylish, big shower with really interesting interior. they have even iron in the room. breakfast has everything you need and compare to other hotels at this price category is the most sofisticated and provides really good quality food. the city center is like up to 10 min walking with restaurants and views. we were here for 1 night and it was a pleasent stay.
Cons: -
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was superb with masses of choice and everything very fresh. Staff were delightful and could not do enough for guests. The rooms are picturesque and tastefully decorated. Cleaning was efficient as was the laundry service.
Cons: Only issue was access because we are older and have mobility problems but Laura and Tiziana willingly transported us and our luggage from and to the car park
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Living in the cave is a special experience. The apartment is on the hill, there is a good view from the balcony to the lower town. Room is stylish decorated with local features, very clean and with comfortable bed. It’s easy to park in the public parking and they provide pick up to the hotel. Staff very warm.
Cons: Shower cabin a little bit small.

Pros: Overall this was good value for the money. Warm welcome and friendly hosts.
Cons: There was no real comfortable common area. I felt like I was intruding in their space. The host was personable and worked hard to cross our language barrier.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent: 10 minutes walking from the hearth of Ragusa and yet with a stunning view of the city. Rooms are very cozy and clean. Breakfast was great, with local pastries and fruit. The owners, Giuseppe and Stefania, were very thoughtful and kind.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff friendliness, helpfulness. Location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the way the house had been renovated with extremely good taste, respectful of its original structure. Beppe, the owner, was a friendly and extremely helpful guide into this stone stairs cladded area of historic Ragusa Ibla. The house itself, which offers an outstanding panoramic view from its terrace, was a few minutes away walk from some of the most beautiful Baroque town buildings, fancy two Michelin star restaurants, and beautifully accomodating taverns. Breakfast, included in the package, was simply amazing.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing, pristine, absolutely gorgeous bnb overlooking the beauty of downtown Ragusa. Just steps from amazing restaurants and sights. One of the most spectacular places we have ever stayed.
Cons: I wish the mattress were as comfortable as everything else. Still, I recommend overlooking this and staying anyway!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Convenient location on edge of old town, spacious and well appointed. Friendly and helpful host. Great communal balcony to share with friends and watch the sunset over town. Fabulous breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Giuseppe is very helpful and kind. He speaks multiple languages. The location is amazing. The view from the terrace is wonderful. Breakfast is delicious. Rooms are very modern and comfortable. We would certainly stay here again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Giuseppe and Stefania were very hospitable and the property is tucked away in a nice quiet location near Ragusa Ibla. Giuseppe also helped us invaluably on a Saturday when our rental car was towed due to a temporary restriction by the city that we missed — not sure what we would have done otherwise! Also enjoyed the strong coffee at breakfast and nice functioning air conditioning.
Cons: No private parking, but there are street spots and public lots not far away. No complaints!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was amazing - a table laden with Sicilian specialities, endless freshly made coffee and attention to detail. Our host collected us from the bus station himself, and booked us a taxi for our early-morning train. He also had lots of local information, maps and details of the Ibla Buskers festival which was just starting.

Pros: We absolutely loved our stay at Época-camera con stile. Constanza, our host, went over and above to ensure we had an excellent stay. The breakfast selection was abundant and more importantly delicious. It was a perfect 3 day stay. Sincerest thanks!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a beautiful old building like a palace, it was so clean, beautiful furniture. Lovely Sicilian breakfast! Host was informative and kind.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Off main road but still very close to everything. Spotlessly clean, very beautiful casual chic. Maria Constanza most accommodating kind and helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Unique antique furniture and rooms. Wonderful breakfast location on the terrace. Charming owner who went out of her way to help you
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice rooms, excellent location right in the centre, but just before the pedestrian area so no problems with parking. Lovely sisters who run the place, incredibly helpful and pleasant. Delicious breakfast on a cute terrace. Really nice stay and we ended up staying longer for it.
Cons: Nothing wrong that we could find
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved our stay here. Costanza was wonderful as was Maria. Both ladies are helpful, welcoming and make a delicious breakfast and cappucinnos! They were especially helpful when we locked our keys in our rental car. The breakfast terrace is a perfect quiet retreat each morning. We would definitely return and refer our friends! Great location and beautiful city.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a find! This is certainly the best place to stay in Ragusa and maybe -- for the cost -- in Sicily. It is a gem. The hosts are lovely and efficient. The location is perfect, one block from the main square of Ragusa Ibla, across from a place where they make classic Sicilian carts, and adjacent to a bar/pastry shop that is open all day. Great room, big and comfortable. And the price is excellent.
Cons: I did not dislike anything. My only objection is that I did not see Salvo or Mimi or Fazio or even Catarella in Ragusa Ibla, but we did get to see Dottore Pasquano's club (the circolo di conversazione), Mrs. Tarantino's apartment house and the stairs down which the Ukrainian girl raced her motorbike when fleeing from the mobsters.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The house is a historic building with a public area on the second floor of the house. It has a spacious and modern interior layout The house is located on the main street of Xiacheng District in the old city area, which is convenient for visiting historic sites and dining. The breakfast is rich, the morning sunshine is sprinkled into the room, and the dining atmosphere is good Parking is very convenient
Iblainsuite - Ragusa - Bedroom
8
9.6 Excellent (192 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Iblainsuite in Ragusa, you'll be just steps from Palazzo La Rocca and Dome of Saint George. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very attentive and the position right behind the Duomo Piazza was easy. We had a 'Superior' room.
Cons: Getting in and out of the town, and parking, was tricky. Surprising amount of traffic at all hours rumbling past on the street,so not recommended for light sleepers!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Modern facilities, comfortable beds in a old world setting just steps to the main plaza - quite charming! Wonderful breakfast and warm, inviting hosts and staff.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location is amazing, right next to the Duomo. You can park the car on the residential spots a few minutes away, they will provide a parking card. The rooftop terrace is perfect for the evening and night. The room and bathroom look brand new, the owner has done an outstanding job renovating the old house. And so looks the breakfast room, really stylish. The buffet is simply mouth watering, but having more salty food could be an idea, as it’s based mainly on sweets. Communication with the host went great, both during the check-in and the check-out processes.
Cons: There were some annoying noises early in the morning, people walking and talking on the hallway for 5-10 minutes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is located at very good place to access the center of old town and new town.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location, near San Giorgio church. Excellent friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again. Great breakfast.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the hearty Italian breakfast. Ragusa Ibla is beautiful but we found parking on the street to be stressful (not the hotel’s fault). Unfortunately we had to cut short our stay but we’d love to return especially for a meal at the Michelin started restaurant across the lane.
Artemisia Resort - Ragusa - Building
9
9.5 Excellent (458 reviews)

Located in Ragusa, Artemisia Resort is in a rural location, within a 15-minute drive of Cathedral of San Giovanni Battista and Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. 9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff always friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. We rarely stay in the same place twice and this is our fourth time at the Artemisia! The pool is very well maintained and there are plenty of sun loungers
Cons: Air conditioning could be better. Although not the properties fault we saw unattended towels on sun loungers for the first time.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place, well located to have a trip around the south-occidental part of Sicily. The location it’s really nice with a lovely garden and pool
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very nice & helpful.. Breakfasts were very good. Room was nice & clean & well presented. Pool was lovely.
Cons: Location was good in some respects as it was in-between most of the major villages & attractions, however it was at least 20 minutes drive from nearest place of interest, so with the benefit of hind site, it might of been better to base ourselves in a local town (in order to be able to walk to a restaurant of an evening). That said, it is only something to be aware off, as the upside of staying at the Resort, rather in town, is the lovely pool.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice staff. We had a medical issue and we were taken care of in all extend possible. They organized a doctor and helped us in any possible way. The breakfast is outstanding and contains everything imaginable from different bread, cakes, cheese, fruit - excellent!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff and the relaxed atmosphere
Cons: The location was a bit remote
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast, big and amazing room, beautiful pool and garden
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Big, comfortable rooms with nice beds, very clean, good bathing facilities, well filled mini bar and little snacks in the room, but we have to mention the breakfast buffet. Sicilians like (fresh) food and are good in preparing it, so Artemisia resort decided to put just about everything on the buffet. Not just one pie, but everyday a choice of 5 different fresh pies, and cookies, and crepes, bread (diferent kinds of course) , fresh fruit , different teas and what not. All prepared and served by a very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: The table tennis table and the table football where not really in a very good shape (the latter did not function at all), no balls or very damaged. Standing in 40 degrees celsius in the sun doesn't help and though it is not a big deal, that's something to improve.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everythingggg
Cons: No coffee in room.only teabags
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A true gem of a resort hotel on the edge of Ragusa. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Plenty of parking. Incredible breakfast. But the most impressive thing about the place is the Staff. They were all so friendly and helpful.
Sanvito Hostel - Ragusa - Building

9.5 Excellent (355 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Sanvito Hostel in Ragusa, you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Palazzo Bertini and Iblean Archaeological Museum. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and laundry facilities.
7.5 Good
Pros: Clean and very spacious room, comfortable bed
Cons: A girl at reception don’t speak italian and don’t provide information about the city
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Convenient location near the train and only a short walk from the historical city center (Ibla). Professional, very friendly and helpful staff, nice basic breakfast. Dorms, toilets, showers and common areas are spotless clean. The 6-bed-dorm is very spacious (aka not overcrowded), with lockers and individual lights. I did not hear any noise from the outside and only very little from the inside. The rooftop is amazing, and so is the balcony: they invite to chill and enjoy the view!
Cons: Possibly because it's an historical building, build upon rocks (and during my stay it rained a few times), there was a musty-smell in the female dorm. Although the windows were open, it did not go away.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: San Vito is a lovely hostel with a beautiful balcony and rooftop terrace. The common area and kitchen offer great places to hang out and connect with the other guests. The owner was very dedicated to make to guests feel at home. I usually don’t right reviews but I really felt like this Hostel truly deserves one.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The owner of the hostel is very kind, he gave us a detailed instruction how to parking our car, but unfortunately by accident, we still got a ticket and have to go to police office, again we got a lot of help from him. The hostel location is easy to access by car, the room is clean, Kitchen is also clean and well organized.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: When I stayed it was nasty weather so didn't take full advantage of the terraces/views but did enjoy the large kitchen and social spaces, including a lovely little 'reading room' with comfy sofa and natural light. There were only a few guests in November.. this would be a great place with plenty of space when there's more travellers around! The breakfast was good, with toast, marmalade, fruit and eggs. Staff were helpful. It was easy to find as it's just by the bridge from the train station area to the old town.
Cons: It's not the hostels fault- but they aren't allowed to turn on the heating till later in the year. as I was there in a cold spell it was all a little chilly - though they made sure I had plenty of warm blankets. Also, expect stairs.. the entrance, rooms and kitchen are on different levels.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All good, in a walking distance to all nice places around. Staff was were helpful providing all tips and information.

Pros: Location excellent, spacious rooms with spectacular views, tranquil and clean environment, and friendly staff. Breakfast, very healthy choices and great coffee. San Giorgio Palace Hotel is surrounded by historical monuments and medieval churches. A variety of restaurants and good wine, to end the day. Looking forward to be there!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was not easy to find a way because it was too dark in the evening, but I was happy that you were kind and warm to me. It was so dark that I couldn't afford to look around the hotel on the first day, but the hotel I saw after waking up in the morning it was so beautiful. fresh air, sunrise view, breakfast,,,,everything is good!! And the parking lot is also free and safe. It was easy to get around because it was connected to Old town.
Cons: It took me a long time to dry my hair because the dry air was a little weak. But bathroom is clean and hot water came out well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was modern and very clean. The staff went out of there way to make my experience at this hotel a very memorable one. The location of the hotel was close to all the sites and restaurants in Ragusa Ibla.
Cons: I liked everything! If there was something that I didn't like, I am positive that the staff would have promptly corrected it.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great views. Great use of cliff space. Charming staff
Cons: Need to be a contortionist to use shower. Far too small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was amazing. The staff were extreme nice and helpful. Loved this place!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: First and foremost; the outstanding customer service, both at the reception and the dining facility. Not only we got offered for a big room upgrade (garden view to junior suite with terrace), the receptionist (Guesseppe and his female colleague that night) toured us of the facility and available amenities. At the dinning, noticing that the eggs are almost out, the chef, specially asked us what types of egg we would like and actually specially made it for us! These two things alone are the reasons why we will stay at this hotel again on our future visits.
Cons: We can easily hear the sound from the connecting room. It would be nice to do some sound proofing work as we can actually hear regular conversation of the other guests.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect!

Cons: none
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were pleasantly surprised in this old town to find a boutique style hotel with only around 5 rooms and gorgeous roof top terrace to enjoy the city view. Our room was ultra modern and quite large with a balconette overlooking the charming narrow alley ways of Modica on the first floor. No elevators here and not needed with only ground and first floor. The roof terrace is second floor. Comfy bed and high alfresco ceilings. Breakfast was included buffet style including cheeses, cold meats, croissants, pastries, biscuits, cereal and fruit. Check out the roof top terrace great panoramic views. They even have a wine cellar. Ask at reception its on the ground level. Lovely quite area and Hotel with friendly young staff members who assisted us in directions and where to get the best gelato. There is a railway station and bus service to get around to Ragusa. Great food and restaurants in this area and lots to see all in walking distance. We took the little train tour around the main sites for only 5 euro each. You must try Modica chocolate during your stay here!

Pros: Host friendly and happy to help using a translated App .Apartment clean and spacious & parking good .
Cons: Is a long walk down hill to any restaurants and Ragusa Ibla , no info re public transport - which is available by the way . Could do with more mugs for tea & knives for cooking . Note - only one apartment has the terrace with view in picture we just had a tiny balcony too small to sit out on .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendliness of the host. Every day fresh 'dolce'!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was expected to have apartment with a shared roof terrace, as those appeared in the booking com website. However when we got there, we only realized that it was not the type of apartment that we were going to stay in. It was a bit disappointing at that moment. May be there was a misunderstanding with the reservation. Anyway, during our 2 days stay at Casa Francesco, I would say that we have no complaints about the apartment that was given to us . On the contrary, we really enjoyed our stay there. The apartment is clean and the freshly baked pastries that we received daily were delicious. We will definitely stay at Casa Francesco the next time we stay our in Ragusa.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: The reception staff are exceptional and are willing to help you with travel plans and ensure that buses and trains are running. The location is just around the corner from the main square and beautiful Baroque cathedral. There are many good restaurants nearby. It is a short walk to the steps leading down to Ragusa Ibla, the views from here are stunning. Our room had 2 windows over looking gardens , 1 with a large balcony.
Cons: As others have mentioned, the fridge does not cool your drinks sufficiently.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Huge, high-ceiling palazzo room with large bed and super modern bathroom. Cleverly-designed to make the most of the space and with tiled floors and shuttered balconies overlooking the main street. Lovely selection of breakfast rooms in an immaculate breakfast room. Lovely friendly staff too. WISHA? (Would I Stay Here Again?)...definitely!
Cons: A couple of small things. The mini-bar wasn't a bar at all but a fridge with some complimentary bottles of water (grazie!) but not capable of cooling a bottle of beer. Pointless. TV was rather small for the size of room.

Pros: Location
Cons: We had 2 rooms for 4 nights. In the bigger room there was no toilet seat. In the smaller room a bulb at the table desk was broken. I asked to fix the problems but nothing was done. Nobody followed up. In the standard room the shower cabin is so small that you can have difficulties even to come in not to say about taking a shower. Internet connection was bad in both rooms and it is not stable even on the ground floor next to reception.

Pros: The apartment was quite spacious but otherwise disappointing. Central location. Clean bathroom.
Cons: Nothing resembled the photographs - in the photos everything is bright, well presented, picturesque but in fact it was drab and dreary looking. Entrance poor and poorly lit.
