The room was small and the TV was an old tube TV.
This is a great value for a 3 star hotel. Great restaurant and bar, cute place overall. It's not a luxury hotel, but I was pleasantly surprised at the great hotel at 3 stars.
The main lobby -- this hotel was built in 1930's. Really a charming example of Adobe architecture -- very nice restaurant and bar -- decoration wise. Breakfast included and was very good. The architecture and decoration in main building lobby/ restaurants is worth seeing.......people are very nice...but the need to up their game accommodation wise. Old part I would not recommend -- not solid feeling when you step on floors -- the newer building is not concrete between floors so you hear people walking on 2nd floor rooms if you are in 1st floor rooms. They gave us a room in old section, electricity went off, then phone..i asked to be moved to newer building -- which were suites and they moved us at no extra charge..then that room had no hot water and no water pressure. So we moved for a third time and that had hot water and no water pressure...next day pressure was better but room was noisey since a bunch of construction workers were staying on the 2nd floor. But the building is historic and worth seeing but I would not stay there again.
Made to order breakfast was delicious. The fitness room was as large as the closet smells like paint and everything seemed a little outdated and run-down
Great breakfast buffet, nice view of mountain range from my room. no cleaning services, no staff on-site near my room (to request towels, etc), pool is in another building and locked, exercise room smells bad and in another building, room not as big as what I thought we'd be getting (according to pictures on website).
Well-located on the main drag. Beautiful public areas of hotel. Fabulous and extensive complimentary breakfast. Inadequate lighting in the room.
The property itself was exquisite. The room, the pool and landscape was utterly gorgeous. Very inspirational. The staff was great as well, especially the valet. The food was very "meh". I would have expected much more from the mac and cheese than a bowl of Kraft mac and cheese. ....As a mom, its easy to spot. The beer was flat as well. The salad had a generic sugary raspberry dressing. Its a competitive food world out there, so I think Monte Sagrado could do much better. The music in the bar was really youthful and felt like a bad night club. Staff was fine though. Everything else in the resort completely made up for the experience though!
Rooms were clean and spacious. Complimentary continental breakfast was probably the best I've had. Staff was helpful and friendly- from the front desk to the kitchen to the guy who brought the crib to the room.
Clean, friendly, outside park like atmosphere, great hot tub
Cozy down comforters and beds, big soft towels, nice breakfast, hot tub, GREAT staff and location!
Quaint and charming! Really a gem for the price, decent location, lovely grounds, well maintained. A wonderful breakfast was served every morning with wide selection of items both hot and cold. Room was small but very charming, New Mexican decode old hacienda theme. All was good for us no complaints
Friendliness of staff Liked it all
Great bang for your buck. Clean, friendly staff, charming, very reasonably priced. The pool is nothing to write home about, but served its purpose for a nice cool dip on a hot afternoon.
Breakfast in the morning was delicious and service was great. The staff were all so sweet and willing to help and answer any questions. I would highly recommend staying here and will be back next time I'm in Taos.
Excellent room, great atmosphere, friendly staff, great location and a phenomenal fu$&ing breakfast! That we left to go back to work
Showers, the variety of breakfast items, room, friendly staff. No shuttle to downtown.
Clean and quiet. Easy access. Comfortable bed. Reasonable price. Everything was good.
Tub drain broken, bathroom needed updating.
Excellent restaurant, friendly staff. Worn out mattress. Noisy neighbors.
Location and the staff. Restuarant offered many unique dinner selections. The shower. Because it was an open shower water leaked on the bathroom floor. Musty smell in room.
The dining room, highly touted, was visited only once where my wife and I had a very nice lunch. The manager, in response to my complaint listed below, was apologetic, courteous and gave me a 10% discount. She said she would look into the matter. She suggested she had no idea what kind of lighting was in the room. I am skeptical of that but accepted her statement.. l. The light bulbs over the bed were 34 and 40 watts respectively, making it nearly impossible to read. Staff (after asking why I wanted stronger bulbs) stated that they had none. I had to go to a store to buy bulbs myself. 2. the room was plain with little charm to justify $200/day cost - all in all not better that low cost chain motels I have stayed in.
Friendly staff. Hotel is a bit more expensive than other hotels in the US of the same quality, but the "oldness" may be attractive to Americans (although unreal to Europeans). Very loud "live" music in lobby means that checking in can only be done by shouting very loud. It also makes the bar an unfit spot to spend them, but the restaurant is far enough away so that the music is reduced to "background".
Location Was locked out of my room due to faulty lock. I had a dinner to attend and had to lead 17 other people. It took over an hour to get another room. No time to shower, brush my teeth, or even comb my hair. Van keys were locked in the room along with my cell
Very nice beautiful property. Fabulous pool. Good location. Gal at front desk was helpful. Beware! Don't book this hotel unless you are an owner. If you book through an online source, you will be treated as substandard. Hotel Employee at front desk rude & uppity. Bed was a Murphy bed. Awful! had I travelled alone I wouldn't have been able t
the hotel was clean and beautiful. room was super small. Only bed was pull down bed from wall. very uncomfortable, called and asked for roll away cot. they brought up a blow up mattress and a pump. Not what you would expect from resort. would have been better off with cheaper hotel.
Nice clean centrally located in a nice quiet area in town The shower head in our unit was broken and made showering difficult. Management was aware of this and a replacement part reportedly was on order. They did give us a small box of chocolate as a goodwill gesture
I liked that it was back off the road and very quiet. It was close to everything. I loved everything about it. If I had any complaint at all it would be that the bed (Murphy) was not as comfortable as I am used to in high end hotels.
Clean, quiet, great amenities, nicely decorated.
Location is perfect. Right in walking distance to food and the plaza Nope
Spacious, friendly, comfortable Their internet connection - I had to get the desk clerk to hook me up. My wife could not hookup as the person on the desk when she went did not know how to do it either. AlsoI fell while showering as there was no tub mat - still sore and hurting.
It was very clean and well maintained.

Loved the fireplace, comfortable bed, beautiful and warm quilt, warmed floors, greeting from our hosts including Jake - Wonderful and delicious breakfast... you have to have the hot oats brulee and any of the baked goods... everything was delicious. We will be back for a longer stay.
I like their fireplace, it is unique and fun to set it up. They even have a peacock. The place is nicely decorated, and very romantic. It is a bit hard to find, especially after the dark, as their sign has no light. A quick tips is that their office is at the dead end of the road, in front of a gate.
Quite Good shower Cheap Spotty wifi Small TV
This hotel is priced much lower than others that I've stayed at in Taos and is very comparable when it comes to cleanliness. The staff was very friendly and the property is very well kept. A great find for the price! Rooms are a bit outdated and the beds were somewhat uncomfortable. Then again, this can be expected for the rate so I don't really view it as a negative item.
It had a sort of funky fifties resort vibe. The room was large. The maid service was uneven. We stayed four days, and two days it was well done, while the other two, the soap was removed but not replaced (who throws away soap after one use, anyway?), insufficient drinking glasses were left, towels were left, but not in the bathroom. Odd. Also, the AC fan failed. Fortunately, this being Taos, it wasn't unbearable. There was a major pothole developing in the drive connecting to the back section, where we stayed.
