9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice place about 20 min walk from town. Very very clean and pretty inside. Wonderful continental breakfast with plenty of options.
Cons: Host could’ve been a bit warmer. You get the feeling she’s a reluctant host. Monica plays very loud shock jock breakfast radio program in her kitchen which honestly spoils the lovely breakfast dining experience. The WiFi is extremely poor which is not helpful to those of us who rely on internet to research and plan trips etc. the neighbors WiFi was ever present which is interesting. The listing should specify continental breakfast considering irish bnb’s are famous for irish breakfast. Other than that it’s really a gem.

Pros: Lovely hotel and such a friendly guy working there, Stuart - he seemed to be everywhere at once, he was checking us in and then out and giving us local tips, he was serving behind the bar and then serving us dinner. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: All the nice places to sit around
Cons: Breakfast was too late
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: the location is stunning
Cons: the atmosphere has changed considerably since our last visit. Perhaps because there was a wedding party there, the staff was overworked. The room was expensive and seemed tired and in serious need of renovation. Dinner was not good and overpriced. Sad to see the deterioration. Will not return
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location outstanding , staff great and food a joy
Cons: Pricy mid summer but worth it
7.0 Good
Pros: Very tranquil place with superb views. It is a great location for exploring Connemera. Beautiful Renvile beach very close bye. Breakfast and dinner were excellent all served by very pleasant and friendly staff.
Cons: Most common areas in particular the sun room and the pool are very dated and need a facelift. The double doors at the back exit of the property continuously bang close which was very disturbing early in the morning when trying to sleep. I only discovered the hot tub on departing which was a pity as I would have loved to use it... on check in I suggest that the receptionist should mention the key attractions.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Same luxury as it was 36 years ago with obvious upgrades of entire facility. Accommodations are nice and the food is just wonderful. Staff is so accommodating. We loved it and wouldn't miss it when we get to Ireland.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The location was beautiful and receptionist was very friendly and welcoming.
Cons: The room was very dated and tatty. Water from shower was brown. Tv remote buttons didnt all work. Was extremely noisy with doors banging all night and room was opposite the kids playroom so kids screaming and running up and down the corridor. Wi-Fi didn't work anywhere in the building. On arrival at 3pm i gave notice that i required a vegan meal for dinner and breakfast. At dinner the waiter (senior in a suit) said they couldn't make anything different from what was on the menu and kept trying to push salad on me! €50 euro for 2 salads and a sorbet? No thanks. Luckily there was a vegetable curry on the menu which was also vegan apart from the nann so they gave me carrots instead!? Very disappointing that an "award winning chef" can't make anything other than salad or couldn't even make a vegan friendly nann. I'm not a chef, but I make them easily at home. However the curry was very nice. Oh and the bread starter came with butter so i asked for some olive oil instead which was brought over from the bar. One mouthful and had to spit it out as it had clearly gone off and tasted stale and mouldy. Waiter did then bring me some fresh oil which was very nice. Breakfast was no better I was served half a tomato, some mushrooms and a potato! All very disappointing.
4.3 Okay
Pros: Dublin girl serving us breakfast was very friendly and good fun
Cons: Way to overpriced, bed was a small double, room had kitchen exhaust outside Windows that ran till 12pm and back on at 6am. Place just seemed run down not 4star value as advertised. Tv had wires hanging down the back of it which could be dangerous with kids

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Far better than I would ever expect from a hostel. The room had a gorgeous ensuite, nicer than a lot of hotels I have paid much more to stay in. The food was outstanding, had breakfast and lunch and everything was perfect. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Our dog was welcome throughout and loved his stay. Will definitely be back!
5.5 Okay
Pros: Pets allowed. Friendly staff. Handy location. Kitchen very clean and tidy.
Cons: Got a tiny room with 3 beds crammed into it with bunk bed right across the only window which then was not accessible and blocked 60% of the daylight light. Mattress very worn/soft. As I had booked a private room I just expected a room with only 1 double bed in it for the 70 Euro. Room really much too small for 3 beds and massive wardrobe, no breakfast included, so price very steep!!!!
6.3 Good
Pros: Location in the Connemara Park.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The kitchen was very clean.
Cons: The beer was really expensive and was not listed on the menu!
6.3 Good
Pros: Great location next to the national park. Free parking. Friendly staff. Cosy breakfast/cafe area. Beds were quite compfy.
Cons: Very simple room. For 160 euro per night, one would expect more than 4 beds cramped into a room. A small table and place to hang your coat would be welcomed for example. Also a poorly functioning shower door, rusty taps and a lack of room cleaning made us feel we paid way too much.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location and reasonable price for visiting Connemara area, including Kylemore Castle and local beaches. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast. Nothing fancy, but it was just what we needed.
7.5 Good
Pros: The hostel is located in the tiny village of Leitir Fraic, just a short bit from the crossroad. The accommodation is very basic but comfortable and very clean. It is a good size. The bed was comfortable with good pillows. The shower had decent power with an ample supply of hot water. The lady at check-out was very nice.
Cons: The check-in girl was fine but not particularly friendly. She's definitely not Irish and despite being near a Gaeltacht region, she couldn't speak a word of Irish. Ridiculous. 11am is a also a silly hour to have check-out. In most places in Ireland, it's midday. The pubs and especially the take-away nearby are not very good.

7.0 Good
Pros: Connemara itself is beautiful, and the BnB was a nice enough place to stay. The breakfast was nice as well and the room was clean although pretty small.
Cons: The hostess was friendly when it came to serving breakfast, but was distant otherwise. It also took a couple of small lanes to get to the BnB and at the beginning the signs weren't very clear as the essentiell parts were overgrown by bushes.
