Pros: Friendly personnel, great location close to Plansee. Pool is good. Rooms are nice, spacious, and very clean. Comfy beds.
Cons: No coffee facilities in the room. Shower is veeeeery slippery!!! Watch out! Restaurant was a crowded and so not cozy. Even though food was delicious and plentiful we regret not opting for a la carte.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was a good selection. The position of the hotel in the forest was beautiful.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was great to be guest of this BMW hotel! The rooms are all wooden, I like this very much. It already smells nature-like when you enter - no trace of the usual sterile smell in other hotels. This is just a good place to relax. Also, the beds are remarkably comfortable and the bathroom has a nice layout. You can watch the snow over the mountains while taking a shower. Breakfast is good! Location is in the heart of the nature - there is nothing around (but next village only 4km away). It's
Cons: It's hard to hide that this is a hotel where many bmw employees come to relax.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location in the middle of nowhere, Great Alpine design, Stuff was super friendly, The hotel restaurant was excellent! Great bar to spend time after day of hiking, And of course there's a pool and gym.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: We loved the dinner. Uncomplicated and exquisite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Simply perfect location and a great hotel. The food is superb
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is really in full nature, with most wonderful air of Alps, in a fresher area than towns in valleys. Perfect place for hiking in mountains and to explore Alpian flora and fauna: we saw a group of 4 roe deers the first evening at 1 km from the hotel. Places around, including the hotel itself, have also a rich historical past, which relates Austria and Germany. The beautiful lake Plansee with its +20 C water, is at 4.4 km, reachable by foot, though by road. The hotel is serving a good breakfast, able to charge the most active alpinists for a half of day. Rooms have modern nice eco design, all facilities well functioning. Multiple proposals for guests regarding tourism and rest, and every breakfast was accompanied by a small day ''newspaper'' in German. My deepest respect for Austrian and German tourism organizers that they do not go in overprotection, say limiting swimming area in a lake or making fences for those who explore castles in Schwangau, thus permitting freely merge with nature without any disturbance.
Cons: It is better however to come by car and with own bikes to this place as rental or taxis are a bit expensive, especially if to plan visits of places at some 20 km; also a car would be good for bringing some light extra food, like fruits or milk for evening from Reutte - we did not eat lunch or dinner in this hotel, but say Austrian food generally left us impression of a bit heavy: if to stay longer, simple vegetable soups, ragout and boiled potatoes instead of frites and cheese / meat soups would be important. Buying such extra food from a hotel restaurant is expensive, for example 3.90 euro per 1 liter of milk while half-skimmed milk is available for 1.20 euro in a kiosk am Plansee. Restaurants of the area around (except the hotel itself) and other points of sell accepted only cash, no prepaid or credit cards, thus complicating a bit our tour from Venice to Austria and Germany. The room of the hotel had good noise isolation from other rooms, but noise isolation was almost absent between the room and bathroom with WC, making a travel of a couple lightly exotic. It would have sense to book two separate rooms instead of one room for two persons, as the hotel counts the price per person, not by room. TV channels are only in German, but WiFi functions quite well, so it is possible to access news on other languages via iPhone or computer.

Pros: Breakfast was outstanding. The town is very small and very laid back. Staff was very friendly and hardworking. The stairwell was beautifully decorated with taxidermy, paintings, and local historic furnishings.

Cons: That we couldn’t stay for a few more nights!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly hosts, great breakfast, lovely peaceful location only a short drive to Fussen

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Localizacao. Superfrendly and helpful staff. Perfect starting point for excursions (castles, cities)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful mountains around. Very nice stuff and family atmosphere. Definitely would like to come back.

Der Grüne Baum offers a sun terrace in the courtyard and free parking spaces. The property´s wellness area includes several saunas, steam bath and a relaxation area with waterbeds.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: The Grune Baum is in the prime location in the very attractive and interesting village of Erhwald. The hotel has been well modernised and our room was spacious and stylish. We were pleased to be offered a dinner at a reasonable price and the food was good, as was breakfast. Car parking was convenient.
Cons: I am assuming that the village of Erhwald enjoys a premium pricing, being so close to the German border, but we rate the hotel as expensive for what it offers relative to several other quality hotels we stayed in during our Austrian tour. Value for money was not high in our opinion.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was our second visit, this time on the way home to the UK from touring Italy. We loved it the first time and the second time was again perfect, with the added joy of being greeted like old friends. We highly recommend this lovely hotel and would stay again.

5.8 Okay
Pros: Great location at Plansee! The rooms are new and clean
Cons: The hotel seems stuck in the 90’s. The breakfast is quite plain: just cereal, bread and drinks.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The corner room was bright with an amazing view towards the lake. The room seemed relatively new and was spacious with a lovely small balcony. Breakfast was good and enough and they accomodated our wishes. However you might get bored with the breakfast if you stay more than 5N probably (we stayed 2N). The staff was throughout friendly and attentive. The check in was (luckily) easy as we arrived around 9pm before the restaurant closed. Do not arrive later or let them know in advance as check in is usually only until 7pm.
Cons: The room could have been overall cleaner. A kettle for hot water and a safe should be in the room. And please please please install an internet access what is actually working across your entire hotel compound and not only at the camping site (far away).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location right on the lake Friendly and helpful staff Cosy, generous, comfortable room I rarely give straight 10s but this is one.
Cons: I could argue that wifi was a bit patchy but that's a detail
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Amazingly beautiful location in lake. Very picturesque! Newly updated and modern but still quaint!
Cons: Coffee or hot pot in room to enjoy tea on deck watching the sun rise.
6.0 Good
Pros: The view
Cons: Staff was impolite, there was no internet in the room and the breakfast was poor
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hotel which sits right next to a fantastic clear blue lake which you can swim in. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the restaurant was very reasonably priced with HUGE portions. The room is a newly decorated with modern furniture with a balcony view of the lake that is hard to beat.
Cons: Nothing. Perfect hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: everything was perfect
7.5 Good
Pros: The view to the lake was wonderful from our balcony. The room was clean and renovated. The restaurant/hotel manager was really kind. Luckily during our stay there were only few guests at the hotel.
Cons: The breakfast was every morning the same, there is no buffet and portions were not sufficient (0.2 l orange juice + coffee or tea, no refill option; 2 bread rolls and 1 slice of bread per person). For the room price (120€/night), one could expect much better service or buffet breakfast. (For less price we had buffet breakfast in the same region.) One morning while we were still eating (within the breakfast time), a lady started to take away the food. The walls are extremely thin, we could hear every word of the neighbours.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was incredible! Super comfy bed, balcony and mezzanine TV area, the shower was really really nice, and the breakfast was delicious and involving. Even though it rained solidly the whole time I was there it was still beautiful everywhere you looked.
Cons: The check-in was incredibly confusing. You have to go into the restaurant and tell the wait staff that you have a booking. I had to ask multiple people to find this out. Also there is some WiFi in the public areas, but not in the room.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It was a very beautiful location on which we had a really great view from our balcony. The room was surprisingly very nice and big. We loved the modern style. It felt very luxurious.

Cons: We would book here again.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast with excellent coffee machine. Plentiful, easy parking. Large, comfortable room.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel Gasthof Zum Schwanen turned out to be one of our favorite lodgings on our 2+ month trip in Central Europe, even though it was selected as a single overnight while traveling between Innsbruck from points north. It's a a very peaceful spot, in a big valley, surrounded by Alpine peaks and big meadows. Easy to find off the main highway. The hotel itself is immaculate. Our room, in the third floor of the annex off the back (with a lift), was VERY spacious, spotless, and most comfortable, with a magnificent of the Alps! All of that - with a great restaurant (we had dinner there - delicious!) - made it a favorite. The breakfast, included in the price, was also fantastic. The staff was friendly, attentive, and efficient.
Cons: What's not to love?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We went to go visit the castle that inspired Disney, This was only 15 mins away, We were greeted with an amazing view of the mountains, Clean crisp air and great weather, We went a little off season but we really enjoyed everything there was to offer, the staff that made the effort to make our stay as pleasurable as possible with a cheery hello in the mornings to a good night in the evenings after their fresh home made meals. If you stay there we recommend eating there too, :)
Cons: There is a train station right outside the hotel, you dont really hear it, maybe once. The main check in lady only spoke german, but that was okay it was pretty straight forward and the rest of the staff made up for it speaking many different languages.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room was very nice and confortable. Good breakfast. The location was awesome, in a valley full of history and under the world's longest suspended bridge.
7.0 Good
Cons: There was a renaissance festival setting up which blocked all cars from the hotel from leaving the property for over an hour and the hotel did not inform guests ahead of time. We almost missed our flight because of this!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location and good breakfast. Easy access from the hotel to the funicular that goes up to the suspension bridge above the hotel. The Ehrenberg castle ruins is only short walk from the funicular stop. Only a 25 minute drive to Neuschwanstein Castle.

Located in Breitenwang, Alpenhotel Ernberg is in a rural location, within a 15-minute walk of Alpen Therme Ehrenberg and Museum in the Green House. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and multilingual staff. Free self parking is available onsite.
7.5 Good
Pros: The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable.
Cons: We had to stay overnight due to heavy snow and traffic on our way to Ischgl. We checked Booking and found that this hotel had available room for 4 people. Our children were tired, Internet connection was very slow so we decided to ask the reception directly. A very busy man asked if we had a reservation and then said they had no rooms available of that type. And offered 2 double rooms (for almost a double price). We come out, sit in our car and try to book it through Booking. And voila - it is still available! We come to the reception and with the reservation we finally got it. But the reception guy said nothing exlplaining why he said previously that this room was unavailable, no word of excuse. This was really upsetting.
7.0 Good
Pros: Perfectly adequate.
Cons: A bit noisy (but that’s more the people), parking was a little tight
6.8 Good
Pros: The boss very professional and friendly. An excellent varied and gastronomic cooking. The breakfast was correct. The location of the hotel at the entrance to the Lechtal Valley. Nice big room with mountain view. Welcoming with dogs.
Cons: An evening waitress not smiling or friendly. The uncomfortable bed. Cigarette smoke in the main restaurant. Road a bit dangerous with public parking on the other side. Not easy to cross with luggage.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Brilliant and very nice hotel.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Our family suite was AMAZING - especially for the price. We had two rooms - one just for the kids with bunk beds. And the view - Erhernberg Schloss from balcony! Conveniently located to Erhenberg, Zugspitz, and of course, Newschwanstein. The breakfast was great - they had a full German breakfast, plus scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, and sausages. I loved the German bread + the lox (lax) for breakfast - it was delicious. There's also a very quick and convenient laundry room in the basement! Very useful. The entire staff was very helpful, and clearly hard working. We used the hotel restaurant one night, and it was great - especially the playground / giant lawn while the adults were enjoying a beverage.
Cons: I would have loved to have the sink wiped out daily. But it is a very small complaint versus the value I got.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff and owner. Breakfast is good with a number of different options. We did manage to get 2 Family rooms with Balcony and it was the best experience ever for us. Would come back again.
Cons: Perfect location and facilities

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, very nice staff (all spoke some degree of English, a great bonus!), room was large and comfortable with great amenities. Breakfast buffet was great, overall ambiance was very nice.
Cons: Not much I didn't like Screens on the windows would be nice to keep mosquitoes out, but I know that it's very uncommon in Europe to have screened windows, so not a huge gripe.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, Drinks vending machine in reception, great for a refreshing cold beer. Breakfast was ok. .
Cons: A single bedroom with a double bed crammed in. Bed not comfy, bedding was a Mix & Match affair, all assorted colours, pink, yellow and white. Very small on suite with a corrugated cardboard sliding door.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location is great, right in the middle of alps. The breakfast is really good as well. The place seems like a small winter challet perfect for a ski trip.
Cons: The room isn't very comfortable nor spacious especially since we were three people in the room (we booked a triple room). The room is not suited for the summer but for winter weather. There are no facilities like a mini-bar or a kettle or coffee in the room.

Pros: It was convenient to the places we wanted to visit and seems to be in a quiet part of town. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is very good, with a wide selection. It is the typical European style. The owners were very nice and helpful.
Cons: Not necessarily a dislike, but the eggs and bacon with breakfast was a little slow about coming out. Eggs and bacon are part of the buffet.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was lovely- the view from our balcony was breathtaking. Comfortable rooms, good food, especially the breakfast, which was epic. The staff were all charming, and they gave us valuable advice as to how to get into Neuschwanstein. Quiet, and safe free parking.
Cons: I hesitate to fault the place, but can we just mention flies? When you have a lot of horses [they do] you have flies. During the first part of our stay, they were very trying. Great after the storm came through, as they disappeared. So perhaps they should up the ante with fly control. Some light-excluding curtains on the bedroom would be great too.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful secluded location surrounded by green fields and mountains, lovely old building with interesting history. The owners were lovely friendly helpful people. Highly recommended for a stay off the beaten track.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, natural beauty, friendliness of owners
Cons: Many horses on property, and with that, a LOT of flies
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were very warm, welcoming. We absolutely loved our room with a cute little balcony . Bed was a little uncomfortable and so was the size of the bath. Other than that the hotel was embedded with history , it is still a working horse farm. Lovely place for hike and cycling . Highly recommended
Cons: The bed was uncomfortable and the bath was small

Pros: Haus Moosbrugger and it's wonderful hostess/owner exceeded all expectations. It felt just the opposite of a "rental apartment". It felt like a warm and well decorated home. 6.8 Good
Cons: Upon arrival we made a reservation for dinner. Coming to the restaurant in the evening, no-one now about our reservation and they did not make any efforts to arrange a table like some other hotel guest.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: great breakfast, receptionist on a saturday told me how to get a prescription filled in town, and it was a great room for a family
Cons: hotel screwed up and called me the night before thinking that we were coming the day before
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast. The people in the reception was great, they let us to do a late check out without any extras. Location is also perfect, just 5 mins walk from the Train station and on the main road where u can find a lot of different shops. The view is fine, as you can not expect a view towards the Alps as the Hotel is in the middle of the City Centre.
Cons: Although advertised, the room (double room standard) didnt have a fridge. Also was strange that it didnt have a machine to make coffee or tee taking into account that we did the trip in the middle of winter.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very welcoming and our dinner was very good!
Cons: There was no Air conditioning and we were there on a hot night.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel with pleasant rooms. Very central location. Inside parking.
Cons: I was disturbed in the night by the loud plumbing noises coming from the other rooms.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is very good.food is included in house cost and very delicious.
Cons: No comb for hair.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The food was excellent and enough variation. Breakfast has something for everybody.
Cons: All was well. Nice hotel and we will return.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: First place in Reutte
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Hotel in well positioned in Reutte and many activities could be planned around. This is a very clean hotel, with good breakfast and good restaurant, even though the restaurant has not a wide variaty of choices, but for 4 nights it was ok, The service is very good overall, There is a small swimming pool but good to relax and a play room for small childeren which is very nice also on bad weather.
Cons: The normal room that we had is not actually a 4 star room. More a 3 star room with a very small batchroom which does not have a normal door so with children is a little bit difficult to use the bathroom because the one who makes a shower disturbs everyone. But besides this is fine.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is better than it looks like!

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel, great sauna, clean and new. Nice staff.
Cons: The outdoor pool wasn´t there like in the pictures. The layout of the room was not so good for two families, since one kid was suppose to sleep in the kitchen and the other in the dining area, they all ended up sleeping in the master bedroom.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Large room - had a refrigerator, and was quiet. Seating and kitchen area in lower level with coffee. Provided us with a fan/ventilator (was unusually hot). Good WiFi
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and big rooms. Service is exelent! Thank you so much!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location
Cons: Incomplete instruction / door lock jam at the entrance. Had to request someone from inside to open the door.
7.5 Good
Cons: You have to go to the partner hotel ‘Hotel zum Mohren’ to checkin and get the key. This is about a 20 min walk each way if you are walking. We were walking the Lechweg so this meant we had to walk even further
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful panorama
Cons: No possibiliy for breakfast in the pension
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We have spent almost four weeks touring Europe, and this was by far the very best place we stayed in (try to reserve room 12). The rooms were huge and clean with a balcony that had fantastic views of the mountains and the castle. We walked along a path behind the place on the river. Beautiful. The check in was at a partner hotel just a few minutes away with no problems, the room was just a short drive over the river. It had a kitchen with hot plates and a fridge and sink, with all the equipment needed to cook (which we did). I cannot recommend it more highly.
Cons: I booked for only two nights because of scheduling. I wish I could have booked for two weeks!
7.0 Good
Pros: Kitchen facilities. Seating for meals etc.
Cons: Shared breakfast hamper. Fruit not up to standard or bread rolls. Unit very small and beds like sleeping in a matchbox! Floors cold.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Spacious and clean room. Really comfortable mattresses.
Cons: You need to check in in a different place, but this is clearly advertised.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place, with your own room and shared kitchen. But you do have a small fridge in your room too. And if you want the sun and superb view of the mountains, pick a room facing the parkinglot. Very good place to stay if youre into hiking. Many nearby paths, lakes, trails and so on. Superb spot.
Cons: The shared kitchen did not have a freeze, that was a drawback. Otherwise if was very good kitchen. Not much to complain about here. Just remember to collect the key at the Hotel, otherwise you cant enter the Pension. They forgot to give us the kay at the hotel, so we hade do drive back again and collect it from the reception.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely. Great breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good local beer and nice breakfast (coffee machine, orange juice machine, etc)
Cons: Not so good rooms
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really nice hotel , Good room with nice facilities, good food & excellent buffet breakfast. Quiet location & good access to local area.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The girl at the reception was very friendly and gave all the information needed. She was very fluent in English which was great. The staff in the restaurant were also very friendly and spoke good English. Our room was also very clean and cozy.
Cons: That the beds were seperated. We did move them together, however the gap between beds wasnt very pleasant. So if the hotel knows a couple is coming, Id suggest a 2 person's bed, not two 1 person's beds. We still did enjoy our sleep though! The beds were very comfortable.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We were put in a family appartment beside the hotel. Very large appartment with large main room and smaller room (two beds) and also a tiny "kitchen wardrobe". Although beside the main road it was quiet at night. Very beautiful restaurant in a hotel, where we had breakfast. Breakfast was rich. Friendly stuff. In this little town there is everything you need ... Stores like Muller, Hervis, Hofer and many more, also fitness center (my son went there to gym and payed 10 €, very friendly stuff at EasyFit center, 100 meters from Hervis).
Cons: We booked the night before arrival and it seemed a bit pricey, but there was nothing else to choose from if we wanted such level of room. For 3 persons we payed 312,00 € for two nights (breakfast included). But still, besides that, we were happy with everything.
7.0 Good
Pros: Reutte is surrounded by Mountains and this hotel just outside Reutte has beautiful views. We had a room with a terrace overlooking the garden which was lovely. The restaurant served dinner which was very good but best to book as there are very few other places to eat in Reutte. Easy to get to Aqua Dome and Ludwigs castles from here (about an hour's drive)
Cons: Garden furniture a little tired and could do with replacing. The Hotel was very nice however the surrounding area (Reutte) didn't really have anywhere to eat so you had no choice but to eat in the Hotel. We travelled in July and wondered if this is more of a Ski resort. Even the shops (there weren't many) were mostly closed.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Right price. Great breakfast. Very nice hotel staff. Wonderful views. We would certainly go back.
Cons: The mattress wasn't very comfortable.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location. We couldn't decide on Austria or Germany side of Zugspitze so booked this hotel which allowed an option for weather changes in our plans. Great breakfast. Woke up to beautiful views! At night we were lulled to sleep my nearby band.
Cons: Fan would have been nice.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We have stayed here before. There is ample parking, the beds are comfortable and there is a lift. The food, both at dinner and breakfast, is good. It is on the edge of a small village and across the river from Reutte which is about half a mile away.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: nice location close to Fussen Schloss and motorway Reutte , also close to Plansee lake , very nice restaurant and nice and kind ladies at the reception and at restaurant , nice hotel to recommend.

Pros: Great swimming pool and good choice of veggie food.excellent breakfast.
Cons: Wifi could have been better
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food in the restaurant was really good!!
Cons: There was only a bathtub and not a shower. Maybe I missed it but with someone who is disabled this is not handy. Als there was no way to ha g up the showerhead so it wasn't possible to have a good shower. We informed the staff and they promised to fix it.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location, the beauty of the landscape around.
Cons: Cannot complain.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good selection at breakfast, dogs welcome
Cons: We left a picture in the room when we departed. I sent the hotel an email but didn't get a response back
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Size of room
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel location with alps mountain view, surround with local village houses, indoor pool, great food in restaurant.
Cons: The view from our room blocked with big trees in back garden, which we requested to have good view room.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel, friendly staff. Room was spacious, a bit older furniture but nicely matching one style. Good breakfast, vegan options, amazing fresh juice press. We also got dinner from the menu and it was great, best vegan burger. The nature around hotel was amazing.
Cons: In principle nothing.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very friendly and the traditional Austrian food on the menu delicious
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I loved the beautiful view. The room was very clean and bed comfortable. Appreciated the bathrobes and slippers too. I loved the big bath to relax after a day out in the snow. I liked everything at the buffet breakfast from the fresh scrambled eggs to the ham and difference cheese to the very good orange juice. Location is good to see the Castles and to visit the Fernpass and Plansee area in the snow. At this time of year it is like winter wonderland. We will come again and will recommend this hotel to my friends.
Cons: It is a little bit out of the nearby town of Reutte. Lift was small
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was included with cold cuts, variety of breads, fruits, eggs(boiled and scrambled egg, yoghurt, fruits juice, coffee, etc) at the nice restaurant in the hotel. Mountain hotel surrounded by nature where you can enjoy a long stay (e.g. 1 week) as it is equipped with everything such as a small kitchen, refrigerator, coffee machine (but unfortunately excluding cooking heater & microwave). People were actually bringing bottles of water and other food items. Although it is located in Austria, it would be a good option for those visiting around Neuschwanstein Castle.
Cons: The days we stayed were very hot and the room was like sauna without air conditioner. Our room had a balcony terrace which is directly connected to outside of the restaurant of the hotel where people have access and can walk around. Other guests (kids) came nearby our balcony and stared our room inside which was very uncomfortable - I believe except for a few rooms, this should not be the case, though.
