The staff and location The rooms were very rundown and not maintained. The lampshade came apart when I attempted to turn the light on, the curtain was hanging off the rod, flat unhygienic pillows, breakfast offering was very unappealing with a tiny table in the corner. It was a dump overall, but the staff were friendly and the location was good.
The staff, owner I assume, was very nice and the price was good. My room just didn't feel 100% clean, sheets looked old. I should have spent an extra $15 and stayed next door at the Quality Inn.
I used to stay in the Econolodge up the street during my annual trip to Ridgecrest (for the High Desert Trails rally). This year, I decided to try something different. I was pleasantly surprised. A Night's Inn is basically 90% what you'd get at a national, discount motel chain--for 30% less money. Management was exceedingly attentive and friendly. He remembered my name and used it to greet me when he saw me, always making sure I was happy. The room had some flaws I'm not used to seeing in motels, sure. A previous guest dropped a blue maker on the comforter, resulting in a couple blue ink stains. The climate control was a bit loud, rattling the wall when the compressor would cycle on. And I'd hear the odd door closing in the next room, but nothing at all troubling. All in all, the remarkable cost savings, combined with some of the best customer service I've ever experienced in a hotel, makes A Night's Inn my first choice for accommodations in Ridgecrest from now on. They are trying very hard and clearly care about their reputation.
nice location, helpful staff toilet paper holder was broken
the new managers were friendly, helpful, and quick to respond. the place is a work-in-progress, and i'm sure the two of them will get it right, but it will take time.... 1st room, phone not working. second room, phone missing. phone was quickly brought, but when plugged in, no connection. third room, phone worked, sort of... had to make all calls through front desk operator. no fridge in room three.....
The room is not clean. The towel in the room is really dirty with a lot of yellow stains.
Location No wifi signal unless you are very close to the office
Central location in middle of town. Good price. Minimal free breakfast. Minimal amenities in room, no hair dryer, had to ask for bath towels. Poor sound insulation, could hear what neighbors were saying.
location is good. As a newer hotel, it appears it was not built very well as the countertops are sagging and there were water damage in the bathroom.
AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST. Rude staff, things broken everywhere, and with four gust in the hotel, they still put everyone right next to eachother. Leaving.
It was cheap/ The free wi-fi didn't work.
Clean No complaints
Location was just what we needed. Wished coffee was available before 7am, but not that big of a deal.
Considering the price, I was pleasantly surprised. The room was exceptionally clean-even the carpeting. The beds were very comfortable. I was surprised to have a flat screen tv on the wall and a small microwave and refrigerator. I would stay here again. Took us several tries to get the key card to work for room entry.

After consulting their computer, the office staff found us a room that was listed as clean and vacant. We found the room already occupied by someone who was understandably upset at our having been given a key to his room. We went back to the office where we received an apology and a new room assignment. The office staff said she knew our new room was clean and vacant. Turns out the second room was already occupied by yet another patron upset at being walked in on! The gal at the desk contacted her boss by phone and said she was having the same problem with their new computer system as had happened before! As such, she had no way of knowing which rooms were actually occupied and which were vacant. Since we were very concerned with the prospect of someone else being given a key to our room (assuming the staff could actually find a vacant room for us), we left. Motel 6 could not give us a refund because their new computer system made that impossible! We contacted the booking agent who in turn called the motel and after quite some time on the phone were offered a refund which has not yet been received. We will never again stay (or try to stay) at a Motel 6.
