the most emaculate grounds of any resort - the trees and gardens were all perfectly manicured! as well as the beach with the thached huts were amazingly teriffic! we were concerned about the rain but it just rained on the way there back; otherwise we enjoyed 3days of perfect sunshine! everything was very well laid out with the pools, bars, and resturants - enough room for eveyone, never felt crowded and always had what you wanted near by! the water sports (ask for denis) were great - went on an awesome deep sea fishing, parasailing, and jetskiing without a hitch! drinks were flowing freely and casino was small but lots of fun. cute authentic market just down the road! we were a little worried because the only a/c was a small room unit - but it was more than sufficent - didn't even have it on most of the time! only caution would be the bathroom was that of 3 star resort (slightly dirty, don't use the shampoo/conditioner/soap) and everything else was def 5stars! advise taking the shuttle...

Stayed here Aug. 2010. Out in the boonies. Two hours from the Capital. To far from anything interesting to do. Food was tasteless and not comforting. The staff could care less about the guests, just doing their job and nothing more. If your idea of fun is eating without any taste and laying in the beach. I guess this would be wonderful for you. Will not stay here again. Will not recommended and stay in the capital where you have more options to do things.

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are very nice. It is a pain to get to the resort and once you are there, there isn't much (nothing) around you. Be prepared to be eaten alive by the bugs.

My friend and I just got back, and while there appear to be MANY bad reviews on this resort, we had a great time! The pools were great, swim up bar was great, the beach was great! Some of the lounge chairs need replacing. The rooms were always cleaned very well. The resort staff were not overly friendly, and we had to ask for towels to use in the gym, which was weird. Maybe they have a towel-stealing problem? The beds were really hard, which was not great. The food at the buffet was pretty good. We ate at the two restaurants on site; one a sushi restaurant and the other Thai. Stick with the buffet. The sushi was not very good and the Pad Thai that my friend ordered (which is the only Thai dish in the Thai restaurant) was like beef stroganoff... stick with the buffet. The nightly entertainment was pretty good and was directed at the families that were there. It appeared there were mainly families and couples, so if you are going with single girls/guys, not a lot of mingling. Overall...
