What a wonderful hotel, well run............great large rooms, spotless We wold prefer to have been down on the lakefront
good hotel, very clean. the stuff was very nice, speaks english, good breakfast. 10 min walk from the center. the spa is good, we had a massage. the indoor pool is not for children
A good clean modern hotel with lots of facilities available.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent cuisine. Spa facilities good; room very comfortable and hotel gardens very pleasant. Nothing.
Very clean. Great restaurant. Great breakfast!
The beds were super comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. Both swimming pools were great. The staff could have been a little friendlier.
The spa was very good The welcome drink. I am not used to that thus wanted to have a drink after dinner (outside). Upon showing my voucher they said that there was another card for those drinks which obvviously did not have what I wanted. I was a bit irritated with that. Offering a better chouice would cost an extra 3 to 4 Euros. Wh not do that? Or just stop offering the welcome drink completly or give the drink upon arrival. Small thing but...
Overall very positive Breakfast average, could do far better on the fresh fruit
the view of the mountain i make a reservation for a matrimonial bed, i get a 2 bed room, the room card didn't worked...
Very modern, clean and tidy room was very small
Excellent services and facilities. The best hotel in Riva Del Garda. a few (but pleasent) minutes walk to the town center, internet is not free.
The hotel has pleasant grounds, appears to have a good range of facilites, and the breakfast buffet is reasonable. The standard rooms are of low quality with plastic chairs, table, and furniture and have a general air of shabbiness. They are certainly not up the standard expected of a 4-star hotel and the high price charged. The desk staff are generally unconcerned and unhelpful.
The location on the lake was breathtaking and the superior room was spacious. I was shocked that I was unable to get anything to eat at 4pm due to all cafe bar restaurants closing between 2 and 3.30pm.
The hotel interior is clean, sleek and modern with a minimalist feel to the decor. Staff were helpful and cheerful without being over bearing. Only ate breakfast but it was of a high quality, however, if you must have your chocolate or coffee HOT then you will be disappointed. The room was clean and comfortable with a shower. The balcony area was large and had a side view over the marina towards the lake. Parking is limited but if you get a space then it's not a problem. There is underground parking but again spaces are few. Hot drinks at breakfast could be hotter!
Beautiful & clean, pretty good breakfast - almost no complaints! Rooms aren´t very soundproof.. Also, would be nice if the hotel staff could somehow limit the use of the internet from kids who sit and play (loud) games for hours (and their parents don´t mind). I would have needed the internet but couldn´t communicate with German kids.
Staff were superb, extremely helpful. Room and all facilities very clean and well maintained. The sun terrace was lovely and quiet. The bar was very good value. The rooms are pretty small. The first one we were given was absolutely tiny with what was effectively a shared balcony (one large balcony which had been divided into three with thigh-height metal railings, so there was no privacy at all). My main problem is that the walls are paper thin. Short of actually joining them in bed I couldn't have been any closer to the people in the next room and their nocturnal activities. On one day we actually heard two cans of coke being opened in the next room.
The free bike use was very useful, and the location is ideal for watersports, and is within walking distance of Riva town. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Modern design was nice, and good internet access and helpful staff with good local information. The sauna and steam room were nice too. Nice balacony with lovely views. The colour of the rooms were very dull (battleship grey!), and the wooden floors in the rooms were very noisy.
View of the lake, parking was good. Too far to walk to the main town area. this hotel is surrounded by pizza bars for mountain bikers with little choice for anything else.
The staff were very friendly and helpful the room had good views, the sound proofing was also very good, well built hotel
Hotel was very modern and very very clean, would use again
Modern decoration, breakfast ok, clean, close to the beach small room, distance from the centre, location by the busy main road, table reservations at the breakfast in the best tables
very pleasent, helpful staff, relaxed enviorment.
Good location close to beach and good pool.
The room is simple, clean and actually includes the facilities required for lodging. The shower is very narrow.
stayed for 2 nights with my girlfriend, hotel was better than we expected, super clean, very nice wellness area and friendly staff. breakfast was good and we enjoyed a bike trip to a nearby castle arco. we were satisfied and we will surely be back to hotel rudy in 2011 the hotel is on a bit more busy road so we got waken up early in the morning one day. in the end it was a good thing though .)
Swimming pool very pleasant, breakfast on the terrace very nice. You can use the bikes of the hotel go to the town. Too close to the road, ask for a room on mountain side
balcony with nice view the service was not very good
we liked the welness center. It was real relax
The room was very comfortable, nice view, easy for travling non
Really friendly staff! Excellent hotel, unbelievable that it is only a 3*! Night porter all night. Very clean hotel. Nice breakfast - liked the variety of coffees :o)
the hotel was nice, the room was clean and home. the breakfast was very nice.
nice and clean room; breakfast included; nice people; parking included no wifi connection
Good clean hotel with a spacious room. Breakfast was plentiful and staff were friendly (though level of languages other than Italian was low). Location was a good 25min walk from Garda lake and footpaths were not great.
Keep in mind that 4 stars in Italy would never be 4 stars in Germany, Austria or Switzerland...
It was all good, I would stay there again and I will recommend this hotel to friends and family
service was excellent staff very very nice The purpose of the holiday wa to relax after my partners illness. The air conditioning had been turned off, this affected my partners health so we had to cut our holiday short as the air conditioning could not be switched back on. Pity as a nice hotel but a very expensive none relaxing holiday for us.
An evening buffet dinner was served from 7 to 9 pm. The food was very good. The hotel was situated on a busy road roughly 8 minutes from the town centre and the lake. The hotel "theme" and design did little to enhance the hotel and would be more appropriate in an urban enviroment like New York rather than near spectactular italian scenery. Although the towels were changed daily, the bed sheets were not changed until we requested they be changed on day four of our six day stay. Our superior bedroom was situated to the rear of the hotel overlooking the swimming pool, the car park and a very big factory nearby, also a view of the surrounding mountains. The price we paid for our six night stay was expenisve and we were disappointed with the location of the hotel.
Had a very pleasant stay at The Feeling Hotel Luise. All the staff were really helpful and very efficient. The food was outstanding. The location is perfect, short stroll to town centre and to the lake. Would definitely return to this hotel if ever in the area.
The whole experience
The quality of the hotel, the suite was very comfortable, pool was excellent, just right for families. Very quiet interms of noise, lots of things to do. 10min walk into town.
Clean and comfortable. Location is good as it is close (within walking distance) to the town centre and to my conference place. View is wonderful.
The receptionists had great english and were extremely friendly and helpful. They organised buses, dinners, taxis etc for me. The breakfast was great. The only thing they might need to improve is advertising the price of the evening meal served & also pricing on the mini-bar in the rooms.
The hotel was very good with excellent facilities, quite expensive but worth it. The hotel staff were very polite and attentive, everything you would expect from a top hotel. There was no hot chocolate for my daughter's breakfast!
Friendly serving staff, pool and AC Front desk staff not friendly and breakfast too old fashion.
good location none
Comfortable and friendly staff
Beautiful hotel with lovely, friendly staff and athmosphere, and good facilities. Our wedding party were very impressed with the quality of the food and the excellent service. We had an attic type room. While the room was adequate, the bathroom was very small. My husband could barely get in the door, as it could only open half-way, due to the position of the bidet, and the shower did not have an adequate screen to stop the water splashing on to the floor.
Emailed hotel a few nights before to find out about transport from vbs airport and they were very helpful None
The place is very noisy. We've booked several weeks ahead and told the hotel we were coming with a 1 year old baby. Sure enough, our room (best category) was right above the ballroom, were they had music until midnight. Then afterwards we could hear someone in the room next to ours snore - as if there was no wall at all. Next day, until about 3am disco music from an open air disco across the road. No fun at all with a small child, and certainly not 4 star accomodation.
Good location close to the Lake and the town centre The interiors are clean but very dated
The friendly staff, convenient location in relation to the lake, shops and restaurants, the Spa facilities and the general ambience of the Hotel.
My room was full of pets - I think this says enough My room was full of pets - I think this says enough
The staff were excellent as was the location of the hotel Furniture and rooms and general layout very dated. surprised no coffee making facilities in room. Finally, does not cost very much to have Kelloggs corn flakes for breakfast rather than cheap stuff.
it is possible to hear noise from the other rooms. we had a woman with a cough in the room to the left of us, a phone constantly ringing in the room to the right of us and a child running around in the room above us.
The staff were very pleasant at reception and the bar, even though it was off season No food availible during the day, breakfast selection could be improved staff at breakfast were completely different to reception and bar
Pleasent enough , basic buffet, poor wine list, should be sold as a saga venue as most clients in the 60+ age group, very dated entertainment Facilitys such as free bike loan, swimming pools and gardens very good Buffet meals not that good , but the package was resonabile so can`t really complain
Warm and nice wother in pool. Good heating. OK breakfast.
The staff was very helpful and the welcome basket of fruit in our room. Nothing
nothing location, pillows, food, service!!!!
Very comfortable and clean hotel. Our room was large and had a lovely view over the mountains. We stayed B&B board and the breakfast was great! Nothing. Everything was perfect.
Relaxing on the shores of Lake Garda. Excellent room, pool. Pleasant staff (apart from one female on reception). We stayed as bed-and-breakfast guests. We were not given a designated table and had to wait to be seated every morning, normally in the roasting hot consevatory area. Made to feel lesser-class, when we were the ones not on a package deal!
Very nice hotel I found some of the staff not very freindly & rude
Great location - near lake and old town. Pristine room and hotel generally. Great staff. We were lucky enough to get upgraded to one of the wellman suites - amazing room with jacuzzi, steam room and the best lakeside views. Just fantastic! no
Very nice overall premises, very nice pool area and breakfast space. Appreciated the garage in the hotel for parking. The room itself was in need of renovation. Bathroom faucet was leaky, some of the fixtures were broken in both the room itself and in the bathroom. TV reception was poor (many TV channels were noisy). The 2nd floor wireless base station was inoperative so I could not really use the Internet in the room at all. Staff acknowledged problems when I complained, but no fixes were done for any of the problems during my visit. Excellent hotel otherwise if the room would be renovated. Other rooms in the hotel seemed to be updated, so we just got the worst one.
Breakfast is good. It is a four star hotel with a bed that's 1.60*1,85m very small. Value for money is poor.
Good clean building with high quality finishes. The air conditioning was broken resulting in the rooms being far too hot to sleep and the management stated that there was nothing that could be done. No offer of compensation was mentioned but we were advised to open window !! This affected all 3 nights sleep. Also I believe the hotel definately needs a restaurant. Spa attendant seemed abrupt when questioned about bookings,
Riva is a stunning town with great restaurants/bars and fantastic scenery. The experience of having breakfast with the beautiful garden and pool in front of you and the mountains in the background - stunning.
Location view and staff and brekfast where all excellent On the website it had said there was an indoor swimming pool but there wasn't
The best location I have been in in my honey moon I stayed in the weakness spa which was great The shower is next to the entrance
This is a great little Italian hotel slap in the middle of Riva del Garda. It is traditional and stylish. We stayed for one nignt in August while attending the music festival and we had a very pretty balcony room with a view of the piazza and the tower. The hotel has good basic facilities and is completely charming. We ate breakfast which was exactly as expected in Italy with a good simple buffet. The restaurant was busy in the evening with plenty of Italians but we did not eat there. We would have but we were on a brief stay. Riva is a stunning place and our stay at the Portici will be one highlight of a lovely summer.
The clean room and the window and balcony facing the piazza The beds were to hard
Good location, very close to the waterfront, doorman let us in after 1am with a smile. Long walk with luggage as it is in a pedestrian area, room very hot. Breakfast fruit juice was a mix, not real juice.
too noise (close to the road, and had a karaoke-party on Saturday night)
It was a pity that there was no draft beer available at the bar Perhaps it may be of benefit to advise potentail clients of the distance the hotel is away from Riva which was abot a 15 minuet walk and in some places along the route there is no pavement to walk safely. Otehrwise it is 10 Euro taxi ride
Perfect stunning views ,balcony overlooking the pool , breakfast was great , staff very, very helpful , very clean rooms , would stay again , not far from the lake but just a little to far to walk so you do need a car .we walked but walking back as well it was to much , its 3 kms .Very pleasant stay here and would stay again . No complaints all very good.
Excellent service, friendly hotel staff. Rooms are clean and nicely furnished. Via San Tomasso is not existing on some GPS navigators. Otherwise - the location is very good and easy to find.
Hotel is too far away from the lake for walking.
I enjoyed the breakfasts. especially the fresh eggs The walk into town takes about 40mins
Friendly staff and good facilities.
Room was very clean and comfortable , hotel staff was OK and they speak English , most of Italian people don t speak any language than Italian. Reception start work at 8 am , i think that is too late , because we must wait half an hour after breakfast to check out.
Clean, safe, beautifull view from the balcony, free internet and parking.
location was fantastic, service very good
Location, location, location ! Poor
The hotel position on the lakeside
friendly helpful staff; free and easy availability of bikes; good location perhaps improve variety of breakfast; pool not really useable;
The seaview was great! The staff was very helpful and nice.
It was too cold in the room
Very nice hotel. Perferctly situated close to "everything" in "old" Riva. Staff in Breakfast Room rude and unfriendly for no reason (not busy at all)
Everything equaled or exceeded of the quality and standards excepted. Coffee/Tea/Kettle in the room woould have been nice
We are regular visitors to this hotel and really enjoy it. Its location is perfect overlooking the harbour and among bars, shops and restarants. The restaurant provides a wonderful panoramic view over the lake and harbour. It may not be the best in town but it is really good value and I have to say, location, location, location. Plenty going on in the town day and night to keep everyone happy. Mountains are easy to walk to out the back door and the lake out the front. Lovely roof terrace for a sunbathe or a splash in the small resistance jet pool. We will be going back again in 2011. Well done to the staff and Best Western No
The hotel was cenrally located, lovely breakfast and a very nice room.
Overworked staff with poor attitude, poor quality food, self service buffet no al a carte menu available.
Hoteliers are so arrogant and rude to guest. i never ever exprienced such kind of people.
modern smart clean rooms air conditioning not working first 2 days. Breakfast was not good
Good, comfortable, 4 stars hotel. Nice staff, private parking, bike parking, swimming pool and good restoran
Good area with nice facilities
Great location overlooking lake, very clean and comfortable A little too far from old town of Riva, but the walk to town, 20 minutes, along lake was very picturesque
The location This is supposedly a three star establishment, but a two star would be a more accurate description. Even in a two star hotel, you expect certain things to work - ie. bathroom lights, handles on cupboard doors, the toaster at breakfast etc. but they didn't at the Hotel Bellariva. Unfortunately, this hotel is in need of some maintenance. Also, the website describes the apartment we stayed in as having "two separate sleeping rooms" - this was a gross exaggeration. The second sleeping room consisted of two bunk beds in the living room, separated by a curtain.
The position near Lake Garda is superb. The breakfast was very good but other meals were mediocre. But there are many good restaurants in Riva.
the good situation and propperness we did not appreciate that everybody had access to our room key as most of the time there was nobody at the reception and anybody could pick up the key as they were not secured. That is the reason we had the key all time with us
Location near to lake Parking a little difficult
Location directly at the lake, nice breakfast, friendly service
Charming hotel and charming staff, with a nice simple restaurant, right on the beach in a great family resort. WiFi connection proved to be difficult.
Location was excellent, right by the water. The staff were really nice at all times and did all they could to make our stay as pleasant as possible Room size was a bit on the small side, but this did not seriously affect our overall enjoyment as there is so much to see and do
Access to lake and town. No.
Small car park.
The room we got was poor, not corresponding to a 3 star hotel
the location was the bet point of the hotel there was never any one at the reception, the rooms were very dated for the price they are charging...
location and facilities
frindly family owned hotel, fantastic location
Breakfast was good and the location was convenient It was very basic for 100 euros per night - but then so are all hotels in this area.
Good location A bit dirty
Good position, very central, but not too noisy. Decent swimming pool and patio area. No air con, which was unbearable at night. Bedroom was too small for 3 people - beds were crammed in. Bathroom flooded twice. No-one ever at reception, so difficult to find someone when needed.
Excellent parking facilities are available, When we arived we were surprisingly ushered to an apartment 100 yards away towards the town which was fully equiped and totally outstanding. Breakfast was also included and excellent. Reception was not manned when we arived so had to wait a couple of minutes for someone to show up.
The hotel seemed very basic. But, actually, was a very good hotel in the end. They have a solarium area at the top with a whilpool, this was great. Also, had a great swimming pool and very very well kept grounds. So, very impressive. Rooms basic with no air conditioning, but windows opened up like patio doors, so lots air in.
Facilities in room, location
Helpful staff. Nice pool. Generous breakfast.
Good breakfast selection, nice pool, useful internet facility, great coin op laundry in basement, convenient location for the lake and riva del garda. Our room was always cleaned well. awful orange juice at breakfast(everything else was fantastic though)
Best part about the hotel was the incredible view we had of the Dolomites and the lake. We were in room 421 and were pleasantly surprised by this lovely site. We also made great use of the free bikes. We rode everyday to the beach, restaurants, and other places. Even with our 1.5 year old daughter, this was possible because of the baby seat they provided. We also were very happy with the breakfast - a lot of selection. Also, the people at the front desk were very kind and helpful. The air conditioning worked, but was not very cold, so in the hot Italian air, we were not always comfortable (but better than most from what we hear).
During our stay we loved that the hotel was in a quiet street with a very nice view to the mountain. It is very close to the beach and to the promenade where you can have a nice walk (20 min.) to the center of the town. We didn't like, that there was only a few apples and plums as fresh fruit at the breakfast. Every other fruits have been canned. But the breakfast buffet at all was well sorted.
Staff were very helpful, breakfast was lovely and the free bikes were excellent.
staff room spotless. pool was not heated, could do with bigger play area for under 7yrs.sand instead of play a slide climbin frame playhouse
nice and extensive breakfast
helpfulness and frindlyness of staff
I liked the fact that everything simply worked as it should, from helpful staff,check-in,check-out,to easy access to the garage. Breakfast was ok. I would recommend this hotel to my friends. I would expect a free wifi in the whole hotel for free,we are in 21st century after all.
Spa center was very good, location of the hotel was excellent. Small TV without international channels, no cable TV
Hotel was well placed for eating and shopping in riva del garda. Large room with balcony. Toe nail in bed when we arrived.
Directly placed at the lake, very good parking possibility ( really a problem in Riva ), personal very friendly and ready to help. Breakfast was very simple without any changes...not suitable for a 4* hotel. Our room was quite dirty ( bathroom ) and on the roof was some mould falling down. They offered balcony with side view lake...from our room was only the possibility to have a view at the camping place along the hotel.
Nice and pleasant location, you find lots of shops and restaurants nearby, the hotel is situated by the lake beach, along a footpath that skirts the Garda Lake and leads you to the center of Riva del Garda. The bedrooms are excellent, good breakfast, friendly and efficient personnel. The hotel also offers an elegant Spa center. I honestly enjoyed my staying and would recommend you this hotel. The hotel is a bit far from the center.
Good location on lake front. Nice room. New and clean. Great dinner. Nice spa. Jacuzzi water is cold. Fresh fruit would have been appreciated rather than the canned fruit.
Quiet, close to Lake of Garda ( 50m) too many campings around the Hotel, no mini bar, no information inside room
