Our stay was great. Breakfast was a wonderful, traditioal German breakfast. The beds were comfy, and clean rooms. I would stay there again and recommend it to anyone staying in that area. So fun that it has a pastery/chocoate shop hooked to it - it was also great! Restaurant doesn't serve dinner until 6pm, which is somewhat typical, we noticed while travelling through Germany and Belgium. We just went a couple doors down for an early dinner, instead.
The breakfast was superb liked being served in your own home. We arrived on a Sunday evening when the Hotel (and Restaurant)was 'shut' as such places have to do once a week in Germany! Once we pressed the bell the proprietress did everything that was needed for our stay.
Lovely hotel - very clean. The staff were very friendly & helpful (not all speak English but why should they? - we managed to get by easy enough). Certainly reccommend having an evening meal in the hotel - food was excellent.
Everything was good Nothing
People were kind and friendly. For me as business guest was conveniet WIFI connection in the room.Breakfast -possibility to have fried or boiled eggs.I was satisfied.
Staff friendly and helpfull, food excellent, comfortable room.
Kind and helpfull staff It was written on website -check in from 17:00 o´clock. In fact the checking was awailable from 18:00 oćlock
English ability was limited, but owner very helpful. Good value for the money. Owner was off the day I arrived. Had his son noot been there, I don´t know what I wou´ld have done.
Comfortable, clean hotel with excellent food served in the restaurant.
warm hospitality of the staff. nice diningroom. good breakfast and dinner. fast service.freshly cooked egg in the morning. not applicable
Personal service (we could choose what time we had breakfast) room was spacious and comfortable, the availability of free wifi and free parking was important to us. Very good value for money, reccomended
Situated in the centre of a small village, good parking to the rear. Rooms are adequately comfortable. The dining room and evening memu are to be recommended. The town of Piramens is only 6km away and is full of shops and resturants, well worth a visit! The 1700 check-in is far too late, and the hotel remains closed until that time, or even later. Difficulties with English speaking.
Luckily I speak a little German. Our internet booking had not been received but nevertheless we received an extremely friendly welcome. We much enjoyed our stay and superb meals. Ausgezeichnet Gastfreundlichkeit ! .... and really good value for money. We were in transit from the Breisgau to the Channel and it made a delightful stop even though we were not able to see the local sights or facilities.
We loved the friendliness of the staff at the Alt Pirmasens. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Their biergarten (beer garden) was a wonderful place for dinner -- very cheerful -- and we felt comfortable with our entire family. Although we had to have 2 separate rooms (for 2 adults & 2 children), they put our rooms close together. One room was an efficiency with its own stove, refrigerator & balcony!
Our room was spacious and spotless, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was great; Staff was very helpful.
Nothing rooms were very very basic, no comfort, hotel product - soap bath gel etc had been bought from local cheap price shop, seating furniture in the room was a mixture of office furniture rooms need to be undated
clean rooms, helpful staff, excellent breakfast
Clean, quiet and helpful with directions
seeing nazareth on tour
Cleanliness, good size room, good lighting for reading and working at desk, proper restaurant that didn't feel like a hotel restaurant Expensive wi-fi in room but business centre PC worked very efficiently; outdoor walk to reception (actually as it didn't rain I did like this as I hate stuffy hotels); vending machine for out of hours dricnks did not work
The room was large compared to European standard rooms. I had requested a room with a good view of town and they did accomodate us. They have an onsite restaurant that is open in the evenings and was decorated beautifully. Also, the food was really good. The breakfast (which is included in the price of room) was outstanding. Go 79th Engineers!! The room did have a small kitchenette in it with basic cooking facilities in it but dishes etc were dirty, tho we did not plan to use this amenity anyway.
Room was spacious, desk staff freindly and coureous. Breakfast was good - small bar off lobby is relaxed.
The room was quite nice and clean. The hotel lobby was locked when we arrived in the early afternoon, and the note directing us to a room for the manager to check in was written in German, so it was difficult to check in and it was raining to boot.
