6.0 Good
Pros: We weren't able to park our car right outside the hotel but the staff provided us with a map for the available parking in the area and their respective prices.
Cons: The bed was a little too small for two of us to share but an otherwise okay stay. The room doesn't include spoons/other kind of cutlery if you plan on making coffee/tea etc so that was a little inconvenient for us.

5.0 Okay
Pros: This hotel is situated in a beautiful place. The Scenary is beautiful and relaxing. Clean facilities and complete amenities available.
Cons: I can't believe not even 1 staff can speak basic English. It is very disappointing in this day and age that Japan tourist industry is still so backward with learning a 2nd international language to help foreign visitors. Also, the hotel needs a real facelift as facilities are really out dated. I haven't use an actual key to open my room door for 20 years!!!

Cons: A bit old. Need renovation. No air conditioning. Only advise us to turn off the heat, fortunately can open the window. Facing the cemetary. No complementary distilled water.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Group tour in breakfast room made it very crowded.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room size is quite big compared to hotels in Tokyo of course. The location is great, although it's bit far away from the JR station, but the distance is walkable. It's a pleasant walk around the area. It's close to convenient stores, and if you want to do some groceries shopping, there's a very big You Me Market in just few minutes walk.

Cons: Will be good if they have family room.

8.3 Excellent
Cons: A bath towel is very old
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were quite spacious. There are a few great onsen pools, both indoor and outdoor.
Cons: The opening hour of the outdoor onsen was 10am and the check out time was 10am, so guests will not be able to enjoy it before they check out. Re-entry bath fee will be charged if guests wished to do so. The hotel should provide some flexibility for guests to do so like giving 1 to 2 hours of late check out upon request or luggage storage and allow guests to enjoy their great onsen without extra charge. The communication with the hotel needs to be improved as they reply to email very slowly.
7.9 Good
Pros: It has a great variety of different onsen types
Cons: Nothing
5.8 Okay
Pros: Lovely onsen. Location convenient for us, but very remote. First floor was nicely decorated. Restaurants pleasant with tasty food. Room relatively spacious and in good repair.
Cons: Mattresses were very thin even for a traditional Japanese room. Really felt that this was the main reason for the not so good review. The place is large and welcoming. I bathed in the onsen, which was clean, tidy and welcoming, however our Bathroom in the room was a little mouldy behind the sink.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The clean and neat private rooms.
Cons: No showers besides the onsen.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is a good place to stay in. The room was big, tidy and nice and all the facilities were clean. The onsen was spacious, too, with several baths, some of them on the outside (we loved to relax in those big wood barrels). The employees were polite and friendly. They helped us out in no time when we accidently locked our toilet door from the outside (sorry about that!). It was the last hotel on our Kyushu trip and it gave us the perfect chance to rake a rest and relax.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Not having coffee in my room.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location next to Saga JR. Standard 3 star Japanese hotel, perfectly suitable as a place to rest your head. Very friendly staff. Stayed here for 3 different nights because we were using Saga as a base for regional travel and have family in the area. Has a small onsen.
7.1 Good
Pros: Very convenient and close to station. Variety and taste of breakfast items was also good.
Cons: We stayed for 4 consecutive days and indicated a day without cleaning (but change towels) and a day with cleaning. The cleaning staff on the cleaning day did not change our sheets and did not make our bed, which is very unusual. Also for the non-cleaning days, they only replenished one set of towels and we had to ask the receptionist to provide one more set.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location, proximity to station
Cons: The breakfast.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Onsen was good.
Cons: Breakfast can be improved!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The Chinese speaking intern was very proactively helpful .
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It’s near Saga Station and bus terminal where eateries abound. Travelling outside Saga City is convenient. The public bath was rather nice bring sufficiently deep though a little small with four bathing points only. Breakfast was good enough with a generous amount of salads, fish, meat, miso soup, curry, croissant, and the rest. The provision of coffee and tea throughout the day is refreshing.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Relatively big room comparing to other Japanese cities, you can still walk in the room with a big luggage. Great breakfast with sufficient choices of food. Extremely convenient location.
Cons: Nothing really.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: they offer humidifier that is good
Cons: they offer pajama but hide in a place where i didnt even notice until i woke up

Idaimae Green Hotel - Saga - Outdoors view
9
7.1 Good (329 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Idaimae Green Hotel in Saga, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Yoshinogari Park and Kono Park. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
7.1 Good
Pros: It is out of our expectation that the breakfast includes hot dishes. But without stove to heat up, the dishes cool down at the time when we took the breakfast.
Cons: The bed is too small for 2 persons sleeping together. We can't sleep well in our having to squeeze within such a small size bed even though we are a couple.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Surprisingly good hot buffet breakfast with some different items on the second morning. Room 113 has a huge (wheelchair accessible?) bathroom. (It's a twin room in which smoking is permitted, but there was no odor). Also the hotel is about a 15-min drive from a nice onsen, which was a big plus.
Cons: It was a little bit out of town, but we happened to see hot air balloons which we wouldn't have seen in city center.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The friendliness of staff
Cons: The bed was too hard
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Clean and comfortable, staffs are friendly
Cons: Located in the suburbs and no elevator

A stay at GARDEN TERRACE SAGA HOTELS & MARITOPIA places you in the heart of Saga, a 2-minute drive from Yoshinogari Park and 6 minutes from Kono Park. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. This hotel has 9 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious and the view was very nice. The whirlpool with a clear view of the night sky was a true highlight. The beds were comfortable. The option I booked had complimentary pyjamas, chocolates and bathing salt. The first round of the mini bar was also free. There were several breakfast options but only the sweet option was vegetarian. I asked the staff to take out the meat and fish and that was no problem.
Cons: Since the room has such a high ceiling it got a bit cold during the night. Unfortunately, the heating took a while to warm up the room and by that time I was already leaving.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good design, the house is very clean. The view and environment is very beautiful. Less restaurant around the hotel. But the hotel provide perfect breakfast (Japanese and eastern). A little far away from the JR station (3km). Hotel doesn’t pick the guests up in the JR station (I think the hotel can provide the service). But it’s really perfect and worth the money.
Cons: No
9.0 Excellent
Pros: room is very clean. Free drink and snack at the lounge is convenient.
Cons: it is about 30" walk from Saga Station but not very enjoyable walk. So, we end up paying $11 USD one way every time we want to go down town. The room is quite small and there is no hanger in the bathroom to hang clothes
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beds really comfortable, and the staff who spoke English were very happy to help with travel arrangements etc
Cons: A bit away from public transport. Having a car would help
6.0 Good
Pros: Lounge access with free drinks was very nice. Breakfast was good. It would have been much better if the weather was nice.
Cons: Service was not as smooth as it can be. The room was much smaller than expected. It would have been better if the breakfast was not cooked at the teppan right in front of us as the oily smell got on us early in the morning...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable! Very lovely hotel.
Cons: No problems.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The hotel corridor design is very impressive
Cons: The location is not friendly , I though the room can watch the saga balloon event but it isn’t .the website image are not reflected to the reality , and overall is over priced

Pros: The staff is very kind and the room is neat and tidy. Nearby the SAGA station.
Cons: None.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean bed staffs are helpful and Saga station is located at near by It takes about 5 min walk.
Cons: Bed space was a little small. Pillow was really hard that gave me a little ache. But i guess the hard pillow is Japanese style?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very close to JR Saga, cute little house, they have these little flags on the window to show everyday's guests' nationalities which is adorable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful facilities. Friendly staff. Has a bicycle for rent. Clean facilities.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Impressive, warm greet with lots of patience and thanks for giving me a postcard.
Cons: No. All okay.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The shower rooms were really nice. Shampoo and conditioner of really good qualities. You have acces to a dryer. Lots of room in your bed, to put all the stuff you need around you. You will have acces to a charger for your phone and earplugs. You can use the washing machine to wash your clothes for only 100yen so this is nice too. The acces to the saga station is perfect, you just have to walk for 5min and you're in front of it.
Cons: I really enjoyed my time. The only thing I can thing about is maybe the mattresses are a bit thin. For someone like me who is small it's not a problem at all, I actually prefer it. but someone with back problem, or a bit fat you might find it uncomfortable as there is no great support.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: very friendly staff. great location. easy to find.
Cons: a bit noisy, next to a busy road. they provided ear-plugs, so it was fine!

Pros: - Kind staff, I’ll never forget her - Modern style Ryokan - Many private onsen - We choose half-board(breakfast and dinner) it was great - Very clean and quiet
Cons: - There is no public bus from city(saga station)

Pros: The environment of the hotel and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Dinner is good.
Cons: Hotspring onsen could be better, a bit small, with outdoor onsen even better.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff is extremely hospitable and patient with our queries and getting the replies translated through translator device despite unable to converse in English. Food is excellent for both the dinner and breakfast.
Cons: A minor point - there is a step at the entrance before the reception. Seen people tripping because of it. Though there were warnings, but maybe it will be better have other more prominent markings.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good hosts. It is a family run boutique accomodation.
Cons: Location is quite remote unless you rent a car.
6.3 Good
Pros: Very fresh sashimi at the dinner.
Cons: It is a very old onsen hotel, there's no in-room bathroom and one must shower at the public bathroom. The private onsen inside the room was very small and the size fits for only one person and it's awkward that you have to take a shower in the public bathroom and then return to your room to enjoy the private onsen. There were quite a few insects and mosquitoes in the small private onsen. We ended up did not use the private onsen. There's no lift in the hotel, so you need to carry your luggage to the first floor. Breakfast was not good. We have many experiences in different onsen hotels and always enjoy in-room onsen but this hotel is obviously highly over-priced. Sorry the above was unanimous comments from our entire group.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staffs with very warm welcome. Love the big chef whom we called him Papa who takes care us the great Japanese meals everyday. Love Tatami bed style in room. Recommended Furuyu; tiny city with full natural oasis and Kakureisen for real vacation.
