Staff Commitment The Menu in the evening was limited
Facilities of room Restaurant food was nothing special and not very good value. Staff were helpful.
The location and the whole complex
convenient for golf car parking
The room and the sea view
It was a nice hotel, with a wonderful view of the sea, and good for walking. It was very comfortable, and clean, with good food, and for us free wi-fi and indoor parking. we enjoyed our stay very much and would visit again
The location is great and locals freindly. Tea/coffee making facilities in room would have been nice.
Friendly staff and very clean rooms
The hotel was superb, food remakable, views over the sea. The bar area requires refurb and seperating from the noise of the casino. The village is quiet at this time of year but we used it as a base and had a great time.
The Hotel was very clean and relaxing. We had dinner on one night and breakfast one morning and we had absolutely no complaints. We will be coming back. We have absolutely nothing bad to say and there was nothing we didn't likeabout Hotel du Beryl.
Both the hotel and its bedrooms appeared extremely new and contemporary and would have been well suited to a four star hotel. This was the smartest three star that we stayed in out of four hotels during our week in France. The position directly overlooking the beach was great and we upgraded to a Sea view for an additional 10 euros, which actually gave us a suite with sitting area/sofa bed rather than a standard room. There is also a large free external carpark & internal carpark at the rear of the hotel. Breakfast was basic for 11 euros per person, so was a little of a let down. The flashing Casino signs outside were off putting though did not reflect the hotel interior.
accessability to seafront convenience
Very good family room, two joining rooms with loads of space & tastefully decorated, each with it's own bathroom. Comfortable beds, well equipped bathrooms & a great view. Brilliant access straight onto beach. Great bar setting with views up & down the beach.Happy, smiley, staff especially Claire. Good parking at the hotel. A really pleasant stay and would definatly like to go back some time.
The evening meal in the restaurant was excellent A bit disappointed there was no music in the bar on Mon and Tues night. There was in 2006.
A lovely hotel in a great location - right on the beach with windows that opened wide to hear the sea at night and look out in the morning. It helped with clear sunny blue skies. Breakfast was good too. The room was spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed the night that we stayed - but staff told us of alternatives as we checked in, which proved to be good.
Being on the beach, breakfast, nice restaurants nearby, friendly service everywhere. Nice walks. Clean sea water, test results displayed.
The location..it really was by the beach!, And the restaurant, which was excellent
The staff were very helpful, and the hotel was in a lovely location right on the beach. The two rooms we booked we far too small to make the stay in this hotel comfortable.
M. Hulot vacation spot with small town beach atmosphere. Good restaurant on site. Friendly and helpful staff.
location very small room
The location is wonderful - exactly what I was hoping for - right on the beach and still many recognisable features from the film M Hulot. The hotel inside is very clean and the room was lovely - cool and the most comfortable bed ever.
great location. right on the beach rooms a bit small, we wouldn't stay for more than a couple of nights
Excellent location overlooking beach, decent parking facilities. Very modern facilities and excellent breakfast The service during evening meal was a complete and utter farce, not just our table but the 7 tables near us had problems with orders not turning up, huge delays, some orders turning up twice. The rooms carpets were unwalkable barefoot due to some ancient torture device that was passing for a carpet, the rooms were also far too noisy and should have been soundproofed better.
The meal on the terrace and the memories from the film (Hulot) Staff a touch amateurish in the restaurant
La chambre bien agencée. La salle de bain très propre et lumineuse. Le staff charmant. Le petit-déjeuner buffet était surpeuplé! Le staff doit encore prendre ses marques pour être plus rapide (hôtel tout neuf) pour servir les clients.
Nice hotel, brand new in the centre of Saint Nazaire, very close to the sea (5 minutes) and close to a shoppning centre. Big parking facilities around. Friendly staff.
It is a new hotel, which makes a difference. Girls at reception were nice and friendly The double-bed was narrow for our liking. Just 1,35 m wide is rarely seen in other hotels now. Also the top cover was as wide as the bed, so it was easy to get cold if any of us pulled the cover a bit to one side
Staff were friendly and ensured you felt most welcome. They really put themselves out. nothing at all
It was easy to find and served our purpose well.
Great location close to town centre and local sights of interest - with easy parking. Staff very helpful
From the moment we arrived until we left, we were made most welcome. We liked the way the staff treated us as people; calling us by name showed a caring attitude. Indeed, you could change the name from Holiday Inn to welcome inn.
the staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel and room were well equipped to a high standard and very clean only that it would be good if there was more choice of english tv channels and tea available at breakfast
Internet access was great. Loved the fact that the breakfast was included and the breakfast was really good. Loved the design of the hotel. Rooms were small but very comfortable. Excellent value for the price.
The staff were wonderful & very helpful, especially Benidict, she helped us sort out a problem with our car & get a hire car, she is a credit to your Hotel & we can not thank her enough, thankyou. The hotel was fine but was not keen on area
breakfast was fair, rooms were good size. swimming pool a plus.thou far from most the beach but with a car its great. no complains
decent breakfast, good sound isolation, clean
Nice staff, I booked for wrong dates, they were kind enough to call me and change the dates for the same price. I realized, only when they called, that I have wrong dates on the card. On the last day, they were changing the carpet, and I am allergic to glue smell.
arrived at 11am and was given my room at no extra charge. Very helpful and friendly staff, I will certainly choose to stay here again.
The Hotel was situated in the centre of the town - the owner was very plesant and helpful . There were shops and places to eat in close proximity. An excellent base for exploring the area Only down side was no lift and only breakfast was provided - however there were plenty of places to eat nearby
Location, helpful friendly staff,breakfast ok.
Location, it was close to a venue we wanted to visit! The fact that I had to argue about the rate upon arrival and that the hotel charged us more than what we booked online, based on their claim that the website is wrong.
Quiet and freindly The internet connection was very poor, lost some work due to loss of internet connection, and was informed from the staff that it was due to my PC. Dissapointed in that
Convenient locations when travelling by car (always close to main roads. Too expensive for such basic accommodation.
Very Quiet and clean accomodation, near many shops. Far from train station if no personnal transportation.
We liked the general atmosphere and friendliness of the staff. The food was very good and we were treated to a recital from a choir made up from many of the staff
The staff where really good and the food was also good the hotel was also very clean
Clean, quiet hotel. Very good location. Beach about 15 min walk. Close to McDonalds restaurant and shops
The hotel need upgrades , it's in a beautiful area. Needed to be cleaner, had a bad smell, not a very good breakfast
The weather was terrible with heavy rain & the only problem was there was very little English TV on the hotel room TV, There were American TV programmes on but dubbed into French with no subtitles for other languages, which would have been a real help.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the air conditioning was a welcome surprise for a French Hotel in this region. The building was very appropriate for the woodland surroundings We found it very difficult to locate although we were advised by the staff that signs are to be erected in the very near future. We also disliked the fact that there was no where on site to have refreshments before 1900 hours at the earliest.
The staff are very helpful, cheerful and accomodating. Nothing is too much trouble and the rooms are immaculate. Signage is bad but look for the adjacent chocolate factory.
Good functional hotel - ideal for an overnight stop. The only problem was that it was very hard to find, even with the sat nav, since the hotel is situated in a relatively new industrial estate.
Pleasant service. A slightly hard bed
breakfast and friendly staff
Good room with small balcony. Helpful staff. Area a little seedy and lacked restaurants.
Hotel Manager was friendly and very helpful. His knowledge of English was very good. Parking was free and very plentiful. I ccan't fault the hotel for value for money.
The location not to far from the railway station. Bus stop in front of the hotel and just 2 min down on the front of the town hall are bus stops of various busses
I stayed here recently and I really liked it. The room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. The staff were very helpful and polite and it was close to the sea front which was great. Overall, I thought it was excellent for the price and would highly recommend it. No
Decent budget hotel. Room smelled like smoke. Staff didn't speak English, so have your French/phrasebook ready. Nice windows that open all the way. Big bathtub and plenty of hot water. Good location, near the city hall and on the main shopping street. Not far from the submarine docks that they've converted into a tourist attraction, comfortable distance from the beach. About as cheap as you can get in Saint Nazaire. Smelled of smoke despite requesting a nonsmoking room.
Good location, large and comfortable room with a wonderful street view from the balcony. It is recommended to stay in.
Staff were frendly and location was good. Plus garage facility was good(but the whole town socially seems to close down from 10pm onwards and not much choice in restaurants in the town) Unfortunately the shower in our room was not to the usual 2 star standard. It was an old bath with a shower hose that you could not fix on the wall so you can stand under the shower. Also plug top was missing on the bath and no shower curtain.
The hotel staff were extremely helpful. We had shipped luggage ahead to the hotel and it was waiting for us in our room. The resturant was also very good. Location is right across from the Gare, yet the hotel is very quiet.
Staff are brilliant, food was simply excellent and a fine selection of beer and wines
Good hotel for business.
Room was of a good size Breakfast offering was not refreshed for later diners
Excellent The best
Located near the train station, 20 minute walk to town & the dockyards, though well served by numerous buses. Very helpful staff.
Nothing Very disappointing, too basic, no-one there when we arrived, had to find out how to book ourselves in via a machine outside. Room poky and claustrophobic. Left after one night even though we had paid for two nights.Depressing room very small window, area poor.
Freindly reception. Good position for my purpose. Very poor room furnishings. No soft floorcovering, very worn and broken bathroom facilities, iron bedstead. Depressing.
Difficulty in finding hotel using instructions provided on the website.
Easy to find Could take credit cards we tried three paid cash
staff were friendly and eager to help. the food is basic but acceptable. the hotel is located in the city centre next to shopping and a short walk to the beach and promenade area. Not far from the hotel, there is an interesting attraction in the revitalised dock area which is about life on luxury atlantic cruise liners of a bygone era along with world war two submarines on display. the attraction would suit adults and kids from 7 years up. The town is quite at night and parking is in the street and free. The hotel is basic but would make an unusual overnight en route to final destination elswhere. Bed was clean and fresh but rooms were a little jaded and spartan especialy the accordian doors on the toilet and seperate shower. However for the rate charged no real complaints
staff are frendly and did the best they could given the fact that building work in the Hotel makes life hard for them. Its fine for the money
The staff were particularly friendly and helpful. They kept an eye on our car whilst we cycled part of the eurovelo 6 route. The toilet is behind a fairly flimsy screen and very close to the bed in the bedroom.
I liked the fact that the staff made you welcome from the start, nothing was too much trouble for them. By the time you left, you felt like you had made new friends.
Mr Alliot was very amiable and very sympathetic to the fact that neither I nor my husband are very agile due to our ages and was very helpful with transporting our luggage to our room Unfortunately our room was on the second floor and there was no lift which was very difficult for my husband who has a chest complaint but we have been assured that if we wish to stay another time that we should request a room on the ground or 1st floor.
