Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and neat.
Cons: Two things: the smell inside the room was a bit overpowering. Some sort of cleaner I think. It was too much for us. Also the hot water in the shower was terrible. It was as if you were sharing the water with 5 other showers running at the same time. I went from a nice hot shower to ice cold for 5 mins then back to hot.... it was not pleasant. Also the food arrangements. We are from ontario so eating before 8pm is uncommon when out.
Cons: No WI-FI

Pros: Food was delicious
Pros: Beautiful location, Good Breakfast, Comfortable rooms.
Cons: Noisy on and off throughout the night (Saturday night) until 4:00am!
Pros: For the last 5 years, we have been staying at the Auberge Montagne Coupee using it as our base when visiting our family in St Jean de Matha. Our stays are usually of 3 to 5 days and we are booking their suite. Despite always smiling at the "luxury" decor (plastic Corinthian style pillars on either style of the old fashion spa bath!) it has always been a good place to stay until this year.
Cons: The room was dirty, the buffet breakfast appalling and the hotel had a strange feel of abandonment and neglect. We will not return and adopt another nearby hotel for our future annual stays.
Pros: Lovely, quiet room.. staff was fantastic
Pros: Location was good for Canadian Orienteering Championships, which is why we were in the area. This was the closest accommodation to the events that offered 2 beds per room, which is what my mother and I wanted. Room was comfortable and clean.
Cons: The in-room coffee-maker would ONLY make coffee - it would not supply hot water for tea! We were told we could request hot water in the restaurant but this does not provide in-room convenience. Included breakfast was tasty, but difficult to manage versus the requirements of our sporting event, as it did not start until 7:30 am, then (on 2 of our 3 mornings) we had to order off a menu and wait for it to be prepared. On our second morning, we observed those who had arrived earlier than 7:30 were served earlier than we were, so on our final morning we arrived at 7:25, only to find staff setting out a buffet! Which was convenient once we could access it, but the doors did not open until nearly 8 am, with no advance notice and no information provided. (The receptionist had no information and the staff setting up were behind a locked door.)
Located in the Lanaudiere region, the hotel is near snowmobile and ATV trails. The rooms are equipped with flat-screen TVs and free WiFi. Guestrooms feature a microwave and refrigerator. The rooms at Hotel La Porte de la Matawinie have country decor and large windows, letting in natural light. Guests are served a daily continental breakfast in the lobby. The hotel also features a front desk with information on area attractions and events. The hotel is 2 km from the Chez Rainville Sugar Shack. The hotel is 1 km from the Musee-Halt Louis Cyr, museum in honour of a strong man and his stunts.
Pros: NOT YET GET OUR BREAKFAST, HOWEVER OUR FRIDGE IN THE ROOM IS NOT WORKING EXCEPT THAT, EVERYTHING IS PERFECT.
Cons: NOT YET GET OUR BREAKFAST, HOWEVER OUR FRIDGE IN THE ROOM IS NOT WORKING EXCEPT THAT, EVERYTHING IS PERFECT.
Pros: Rooms were really nice, parking convenient and access from parking very convenient.
Cons: I was disappointed in the breakfast. There was no fruit and the one juice was a powered variety, not very nutritional.
Pros: Room overall comfy
Pros: Very close to Light House and excellent location for seeing sun rise .
