Pros: The location and staff
Cons: Rooms were a bit rustic and small
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location is brilliant. A lovely setting and a very welcoming host . So accommodating and runs a wonderful operation.
Cons: The pool area was a little different than photos. The room was one of the smallest we’ve had in Europe..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in great location to walk into the center of Saint Remy. There are nice garden surroundings about the rooms each with it's own entrance from outside. The service was great. Pierre gave great restaurant recommendation.
Cons: Parking is available but tight.

Pros: Amazing staff and an incredibly lovely place! the garden is just gorgeous!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Breakfast was lovely ..the pool was wonderful...all of the guests were kind. The owners were super helpful and made us dinner reservations both nights. Both of the owners clearly loved what they did and this was not a job for them...loving their guests and their surroundings..
Cons: not a thing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location, warm welcome, nice and quiet (if somewhat small) room looking onto the garden.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were fantastic; they helped us with reservations and recommendations for local restaurants and sites. The hotel grounds are beautiful. Easy walk to the town center and market. We loved our stay here and would make it our home base when we return to Provence.
Cons: Our stay was too short.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great little hotel with very nice sized rooms (bigger than a lot hotel rooms in France); nice helpful owners who are great bakers, and convenient location— a very quick walk to the city center.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet and peaceful. Very friendly
Cons: Not possible to get a cold drink in the evening - would have made it easier to enjoy the room terrace

4.6 Okay
Pros: Marc was very gregarious and tried hard to converse in English.
Cons: The place was much less attractive than the internet photos. When we arrived back at the place end of day, there were still dirty dishe from breakfasts all over the counter - a shared space. The garden was a mess - the host said due to winter, but it was 74 fareheit when we arrived and could have been cleaned at least. The roomd was spare and very mimimal products provided. Cold pancakes and bread 2 days in a row and nothing else - no meats, cheeses, yougurts that we have received from many other B&Bs at ths price. Not good value for the money.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were really friendly and helpful - very interesting people to get to know! The breakfast was delicious as everything was homemade by Marc! Wonderful pancakes!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I love this place so much! Staying at M&S was one of the best experiences we've ever had with accommodation, and we wish we could stay in this beautiful place forever, living the most amazing Provencal live alongside Marc and Sarah, ha! Honestly, this place is MAGICAL. That's nowhere near an overstatement as everything far exceeded our expectations. From the incredibly beautiful open-plan building to the lush outdoor space (they have a natural pool! with a waterfall rushing into it! and loads of decking in the sun! and a beautiful breakfast table!), the photos do not do it justice. The linen bedding and rainfall showerhead all contributed to our comfort within the room, and the fact that you can walk directly out of your door to the breakfast table where Marc will bring you some of his delicious homemade yoghurt, freshly-baked bread (he does this every day!), homemade jams from local fruit, delicious coffee, pancakes, etc....well it's just amazing! Sarah greeted us so warmly upon arrival and helped us out with a map of the local area. They met us at a time that was not listed within the check-in hours as we had to get ready for a wedding nearby, and we really appreciated that. You can walk into the beautiful town in less than a minute, and Sarah helped us with directions. The town is beautiful, one of the most beautiful I've seen in Provence, but trust me when I say it will be hard to peel yourself away from the relaxing environment of M&S. You may prefer to lay like a lizard in the sun, drinking wine, and reading a good book while listening to the relaxing rush of the waterfall. We're planning to go back as soon as possible to do just that. Thank you again, Marc and Sarah!
Cons: Nothing!!! It was all so very amazing!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: BREAKFAST AND EASY ACCESS TO TOWN
Cons: ROOM UPSTAIRS, BATHROOM DOWNSTAIRS
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Marc and Sarah cared for us like family. They also gave us the space to be on our own. Very generous people!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Peter and Katrine were exceptional hosts at this extraordinary place. We were enchanted with the building and gardens....it was like stepping into a different world. The bed pillows were the best of our month÷long trip. Great to have an offstreet parking space!
Cons: The booking orocess did not work properly, thus the room with private bath we reserved...was not available. Peter and Katrine immediately offered an alternative and wree exceptional in attending to our requests. However, the bathroom is downstairs from our room....and the building construction made it challenging to get up in the night and use the facilities....we had to be very very careful not to trip and fall. The bathroom door opens directly into the main living area, too, which made it awkward for me to come out of the bath in my pajamas st 9 pm while hosts and guests were at the dinner table. Having said all this, this is a magical spot we were thrilled to have found!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast by our hosts, lovely house could not fault it - perfect! Recommend for all travellers.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Marc prepares amazing breakfasts and even bakes delicious bread (which for me is over the top). So pleasant to chat, makes you feel home and has good recommendations for the trip. We absolutely loved our stay in Marc and Sarah's cozy self-designed home and would be happy to return in the future ☺️
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Marc and Sarah we're very friendly and hospitable. They had lots of good food and recommendations of things to see. The house was quite beautiful and eclectic, designed for enjoying nature and the outdoors.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very cozy room with sweet smell.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Stunning old home, beautifully decorated and in a great location. St Remy is a gem
Cons: Issues with air conditioning in 35 degree days made sleeping uncomfortable, but everything else was just perfect!
7.1 Good
Pros: Nice location, garden & our room was isolated.
Cons: Room was excessively dark, especially the bathroom. Mezzanine bedroom was too hot.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A charming and elegant hotel with impeccable hospitality. Our hostess, Christine, treated us like Royalty every chance we saw her. She was warm and friendly and made you feel welcomed. Every morning we were served the most delicious breakfast. It exceeded all of our expectations! Parking was extremely difficult to find in St Remy, but that was no problem for us! Christine provided us with private parking that was only a 5 minute walk from the hotel. This place was the perfect location in St. Remy on a quiet, quaint street near restaurants and charming shops. It truly made our vacation feel like paradise, and we will definitely come back. Do not hesitate to book!”
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
9.6 Excellent
Pros: wonderful service and staff. Parking is an issue.
7.1 Good
Pros: The location is very good, right in the centre of the village, near restaurants. Also, the place is very clean.
Cons: We had Framboise and the most disappointing thing was that they had specifically assured me that they have a mattress topper to put on the sofa bed. When we arrived the lady just shrugged her shoulders and said she didn't have one of the correct size. No apologies, nothing. Apart from this personal experience, I believe the place has many other inconveniences, which we didn't expect: although called a suite, our room was quite cramped and the wooden beans above the bed (plus very small windows) gave the worst feeling of claustrophobia, I even banged my head on them several times. Another very irritating thing was the toilet which flushes noisily minutes after you leave the bathroom, this is very annoying for the other people in the room, especially at night. Very difficult to carry luggage to the second floor, on a steep staircase. Nobody speaks English at the location, communication is very difficult. With all these, I think the price is too high, I wouldn't return.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very beautiful hotel, extremely clean, great location, very friendly and helpful staff, amazing breakfast, spacious room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, very confortable suite well equipped, wonderful host Christiane
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I love St Remy and had spied this hotel on a previous visit. So glad I booked it! It was a wonderful place to stay, it almost feels like you are the owner of an amazing old property, an owner with exception taste I would add! The room we had (Rose) was gorgeous, all french linens, monogramed cushions and lovely light furnishings. Christine our lovely host was great, we managed to get by with my dreadful French and her better than my French English! Lovely lady. Breakfast was fabulous, relaxed and fresh. Parking is near, so drive to the front of the property to unload then you will be given a map to find the parking a few minutes away. All very straightforward. The mistake we made was to arrive on market day (Wednesday) and the town was heaving with no parking to be had. So try to avoid arriving before 2 on a Wednesday!
Cons: It was all fabulous!
La Maison D'Isidore - Saint-Rémy-de-Provence - Bedroom

Overview Reviews
With a stay at La Maison d'Isidore, you'll be centrally located in St.-Remy-de-Provence, a 1-minute drive from Alpilles and 11 minutes from Chateau des Baux.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Although it is highly rated and we had high expectations, the place managed to exceed our expectations. The hospitality of the owner, the attention to little details, it was a great pleasure to stay there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Marie was s great hostess. The location was perfect, the breakfast was excellent.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent
Cons: Very difficult to find. It would be helpful to have handwritten map on how to get to the B&B with some instructions on where one should park or leave the car. After parking in a public lot that we hoped was near, it took us over 1.5 hours to finally be finished locating, getting luggage, checking in and moving our car to the parking
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful location in the centre of the old town , helpful friendly host and lovely decor !
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The property had lots of character and was beautifully decorated, with a lot of attention to detail. The breakfasts were continental and very good, with fresh fruit and delicious croissants and bread, and the owner was lovely.
Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like. The only reason facilities didn’t get full marks was that there was no swimming pool (the property doesn’t allow for one) and it was 37C while we were there. The air-conditioning however worked very well and it was lovely to come back to our room after a day’s sightseeing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The fact that it only has a few rooms makes one feel very cosy and comfortable. It also is really beautiful.
Cons: Can’t think of anything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a little paradise right in the middle of Saint Remy de Provence. The house is very charming, the rooms nicely decorated and furnished. We had the room in the second floor, which has a private rooftop terrace with comfortable deck chairs and a little table. At night you can enjoy the starry sky. Although in the center of Saint Remy, the house is very quiet. Rooms are air-conditioned. Beds are extremely comfortable, everything very clean and furniture tastefully selected. The breakfast is terrific, and is served in a very nice room on the ground level. Croissants, jam, fresh fruit, yogurths, cheese, salami and ham, juice and coffee and tea. It couldn't be any better to start into a new day. There is private parking about 5 min away from the hotel, The car is securely locked in a court. Marie Christine is a wonderful host. She gives advice on things to do in the area, and is always helpful and very friendly. We felt very very well in this hotel! We also met nice other guests that stayed at the same time as we did. Thank you, Marie Christine, for making our trip so enjoyable!
Cons: We liked absolutely everything here!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The place wasn't exactly what I was expecting - online it sounded a bit more luxurious. However, what we got was better - authenticity. The outdoor stairs were probably the original, worn a little concave over the centuries. The rooms (there were only 3) were arranged around a nice central courtyard. Ours, on the third floor, had stairs up to a roof-level small outdoor terrace. We sat up there with a bottle of wine, and watched the swifts zooming not far above our heads. The free continental breakfast was perfect, and Marie-Christine was a pleasure. Breakfast conversation with the other guests was fun. The bnb is in the dead middle of the old town, a terrific location.
Cons: The bed was firmer than I'm used to, but that's personal preference. For me, the yellow table and old radio didn't really go with the room. I would have appreciated a little more instruction on how to arrive. We naively tried to drive into the old part of town to get to the bnb. Instead, we should have parked on the ring road as close to the bnb as possible and walked in (via the Rue Carnot) to get parking information.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Mattress would be improved with a pillow top Also a larger and better position tv
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The peace. The location. The owner. The petit dejeuner. The ville.

9.4 Excellent (149 reviews)

This hotel features 377 square feet (35 square meters) of event facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The Chateau is so lovely and tranquil. We felt like we had been transported back in time. Pricey but the service and accommodations are top notch and the surrounding grounds and gardens are beautiful and provide a respite from trip fatigue. Breakfast and lunch under the ancient trees is a must do. Restaurant is superb. Our room was in the main house and despite the age of the building, it is kept in immaculate condition with tasteful décor mixing period antiques with more modern touches.
Cons: Only negative is that the Chateau is not a walkable distance from Saint Remy given the narrow, dusty road that leads to the property. This did not prove to be much of an issue as there was adequate parking in town as long as you get there fairly early. I would definitely stay here again. The trade off in distance does not compare to the peaceful tranquility you will experience at the Chateau.
6.7 Good
Pros: We had a nice, quiet and clean room.
Cons: Service at the restaurant was slow and unnecessarily snooty. Took 45 minutes to take our order which included out wine and an hour and a half before our food arrived. Waiter was unapologetic. Other than that, the remaining staff was kind and helpful.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Its charm, the staff, the pool and the restaurant setting outside the main entrance. Extremely nice
Cons: Some modern decorations
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Incredibly picturesque and peaceful. The staff was wonderful and accommodated our lack of French with ease and courtesy. Dinner in the courtyard was delicious and—surrounded by towering plane trees and candlelight—perfectly romantic. A gem.
Cons: Cover on bed was heavier than I prefer—a very minor quibble.
7.5 Good
Pros: We liked the kind reception of us and our lovely dog very much! The place unfortunately looked a little bit "gloomy" at first, but it was fine. Overall - very nice!
Cons: The dinner was good but very young and inexperienced waiters, who didn't present the dishes.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff and front manager who gave excellent suggestions patiently
Cons: The last (2nd night there) at dinner the restaurant very full and service slow-
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful charming Chateau with excellent attention to service. The staff were helpful and attentive. The town is classic Provence (St Rémy market on Wednesdays) and centrally located (15 miles or so) from many interesting things to see and do. Easy to make this a must stay recommendation.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: beautiful grounds and pool, great welcome on arrival, great service
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is our third visit and it was the first visit for our friends. We were so proud to share this exceptional place with our dear friends. Beautiful place with staff who were equally beautiful! We will come again. I just love Chateau des Alpilles

Cons: nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very welcoming and nicely maintained property. Very much a bed and breakfast feel and nicely redone room. For example- a nice shower and many of our friends at other properties didn’t have that. Ample parking and nice walk into St Remy.
Cons: Nothing in the context above.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice adult only pool.
Cons: The dinner service took 2:45 minutes. A long walk to town on a hot day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is fabulous, a few minutes walk into the town centre and a great base for the region. The facilities are excellent and the host and staff were friendly and efficient. The evening dinners are exceptional and highly recommend making a reservation whether you are staying at the hotel or in the area
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Their care for our special diet need was outstanding. The fixed menu for dinner left nothing to wish for. Room was clean and spacy, the garden and the pool very nice and relaxing. Very friendly staff.
Cons: When breakfast is served until 10.30am, one could wish for some refills after 9am, even if there were few guests, But when getting up in time, breakfast was plentiful & delicious.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good location just out of town for easy access and peace and quiet. Breakfast was always a welcome pleasure. St Remy is full of charm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place in the town of Saint Remy!! One can walk everywhere from the hotel. The food and gardens are beyond fantastic. The owners are helpful snd speak good English! The Wrays
Cons: Everything!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My wife booked this hotel as a "splurge" while stopping in St. Remy and didn't realize dinner was included in the package she booked. Great dinner in a quiet courtyard so walkable to St. Remy. The staff was super friendly as well, accommodating my wife's dairy allergy during dinner as best they could.
Cons: We had to change rooms in between our two due to a late booking. Not a big deal and really outside the control of the hotel. Also, the hotel let us know as soon as we had booked.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful room and warm and generous staff! The dinners were outstanding and the service equally so. Hail to the chef and the women who graciously run the office. We could walk to the town quite easily! Now we can tell our friends about our stay!
Cons: Nothing!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, air conditioning were great. Large room compared to those in cities. Clean. We stayed in October but the summer would be better with pool and gardens.
Cons: One night a storm came through and the shutter outside the room next door came loose and made a loud clanging noise all night long . Called the hotel staff regarding the issue and they said that they would fix it but this was not done. Received poor nights sleep. When brought to the attention of Management the next morning they said we did not alert them when we in fact did.
8.3 Excellent
Cons: I stayed in the top room of the new building and bumped my head badly on the low wooden roof beam! I would ask for a ground floor room next time

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Residence Melody is a little corner of paradise in St. Remy de Provence. The property and our accommodations were so comfortable and so charming that, during our 3-night stay, we were conflicted as to whether to stay and relax or get out and explore Provence. The latter choice prevailed, but it is a testament to Residence Melody and to our hostess, Danielle, that it was not an easy choice. Thank you for a lovely stay.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We were a family of 5 and stayed in the two bedroom apartment. The host was very hospitable and helpful. All beds were very comfortable including foldout and single bed in the living area. Both bedrooms and living area had good air conditioning. The photos on the website did not do the place justice. We would stay again and recommend staying here.
Cons: A little bit longer than we expected walking into the centre of town.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The apartment was well located for access to the town. It was spacious for a couple and the staff were very welcoming.
Cons: Taxis were not keen to collect passengers. But the owner helped with transport.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Pool
Cons: Couldn’t get into the place when we arrived. Had to wait 15 minutes to be let in Soundproof walls is definitely not true. You kept us awake late at night talking
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The outside areas are lovely , a pleasure to sit in their garden , There was a pool , the area was spotless, The bed was comfortable, nice little room , good shower , no problem with hot water , living area was basic , suitable for 2 people , unless it was a child not sure in this accommodation at least if suitable for more adults to share , Owner lovely, very friendly,A’s was everyone,
Cons: Nothing Really,
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Strong AC, nice pool, fully stacked kitchen. The owners were very friendly. Aldi was literally next door to stock up on grocery.
Cons: The place is designed for lengthy stays, but all the little items they do not provide for you. After the initial supply of one roll toilet paper, one garbage bag, the rest you are on your own. Even the towels they would only give you extra if you asked. it feels more like you are living at someone's house rather than at a place you are paying a lot of money for.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great appartments, very clean, lovely pool, pretty garden... The list could go on and on!
Cons: Very little. It's excellent value for money.

Pros: Lovely hosts, excellent breakfast, clean, close to town and overall such an amazing place. The accommodation and swimming pool were just fantastic so loved every minute
Cons: The only thing we thought was odd was that the accommodation had plates, bowls, glasses, cutlery etc with the microwave but didn't have a sink in which to wash anything up so you can't use them
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything about our stay. Our host was very helpful and courteous while also knowing when to leave us to our own time. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable, and shower was very spacious. Breakfast was amazing with everything you could need in the morning and delivered to your door on your request. We felt very safe during our stay and kept the window open during the night. I would recommend having a car as the road to get to St. Remy is dangerous to be walking along but it is only about a 3 minute drive. We will recommend this delightful home to all of our friends and family!

Pros: Chantel was an excellent host. She made sure our stay was comfortable and relaxing and she personally attended to all our requirements. Breakfast was good and included all the local produce. I would not hesitate in recommending Hotel Le Mas Saint Joseph to all my friends and family.
Cons: There is nothing that I did not like about this hotel. The only advise I would provide is the driveway exit is at a bend on the road and caution is required when exiting as sometimes it is difficult to see traffic approaching.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful spotless building, extremely well maintained Lovely hostess, good breakfast reasonably priced, within a few minutes walk from the center which Is a bonus
Cons: WiFi didn’t connect for us but not a great problem! A small coffee table in the television area would be a welcome addition to put your drinks on! Very nice suite! We will defiantly return!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Chantal is a lovely host and the suite was perfect for our needs. Very nice to have a terrace by the room to relax in the evening or just sit quietly at the beginning of the day. The pool area was ideal and surrounded by beautiful shrubs and trees. Very pleased that there is a secure fence around the pool, although we were not travelling with children on this occasion we notice because we have 4 grandchildren. We enjoyed breakfast on the first morning, but tended to eat breakfast on our way to wherever we were going each day. This was not because of a problem, it's just what we tend to do on holiday The location was ideal, well placed for days trips by car and just far enough from the centre to be peaceful. Good private car park.
Cons: Can't think of anything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable junior suite, nice surroundings

Pros: This is a lovely small hotel and the owner Chantal is a great host. There is every attention to detail. Our room was very comfortable. The garden and swimming pool are lovely. It is about 15 minutes’ walk into the Centre of St Remy de Provence. It would be good to have a B&B option. The restaurants in the area are fairly expensive but there is a good choice. St Remy is a good base for going to Avignon, Arles and the west of the Luberon.
Cons: It does get a little frustrating having to find three places to eat every day.

Pros: Situated in the heart of St Remy, the location cannot be beat and just a few minutes' walk to the market, the old city, shops and restaurants. The lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful. We had 2 rooms: They were both very clean, beds were comfortable, showers impeccable, the views (we were on the top floor) were priceless. However, one of them was quite musty smelling. Very nice pool area with plenty of lounging, and a lot of places to sit outside all around the hotel.
Cons: The bar area was subpar and the service there was mediocre. We tried to get an aperitif from the bar to take outside and it felt that we were clearly annoying the gentleman who we asked helped from. As in many French hotels, they were
5.4 Okay
Pros: Centrally located in St Rémy - lots of lovely restaurants within walking distant. Nice pool in courtyard garden
Cons: Overpriced for quality of hotel Breakfast is optional extra at 15Euro per day per person and average quality - machine coffee; the same plate of apples put out on the table every day; and considering we were in France I’d have thought we could have counted on the pastries but they were often a little stale. Beware - customer parking is a hidden cost at 12Euro per day and hidden in fine print, they didn’t tell us when we arrived. Security was a concern - they didn’t take a scan of our passport or credit cards like hotels normally do. And we left our key behind the desk on the first evening...when we returned it was unmanned so we rang the bell...the man that appeared said if no one was there in future to go behind the desk and help ourselves...needless to say we didn’t leave our key there again! Biggest problem was the damp - we had a ground floor room over looking the garden. It smelt musty and felt damp. Our clothes in the wardrobe at the end of a five day stay smelt funny. Wouldn’t recommend the hotel.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Close to downtown
Cons: Too much decoration in all the Hotel Plastic grass

Pros: Perfect location in the center of St Remy - yet with a garden and a pool to relax.

Pros: We loved the staff, the location, rooms, pool and outside garden area. The lobby and lounge are also very nice with good food coffee and games.
Cons: Breakfast too expensive given that there are boulangeries a block away for a fraction of the cost.

Pros: The location was excellent and the small garden and pool were charming and exceeded our expectations. Best of all were the delightful staff who could not have been more helpful. We hope to be back.
Cons: The room was very petite! But it was big enough for us.

Pros: Very nice to have a lift for our bags. Staying in the central town is wonderful for walking to dinner. Be sure to ask the host for advice regarding restaurants

Pros: Good bed + general comfort
Cons: Long walk to secure parking. Also to return keys.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Brilliant room and even better bathroom. Awesome boutique property in the middle of St-Remy-de-Provence! Beautiful cat that sometimes greet you when you come back home as well. This is the highest mark I have ever given a property and have been travelling for 9 months now. Stay here!
Cons: Would be good if breakfast was included. Google Maps does not have the street the property is on in their database and sends you to a location around the corner. The owners should contact Google and get this fixed.

Pros: Sweet French home in Provence. Lovely in every way. Highest recommendation!
Cons: Well, it’s a modest apartment, but the charm more than makes up for that.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: We liked the rural environment. The guest room was very nicely decorated and comfortable. Everything looks new in the room and the bed was also very comfortable. There was a little kitchen between the two guest rooms for common use. Water, soft drinks were available for the guests at the shared fridge. We shared the same breakfast table with our neighbors near the pool. We had a nice chat with a very nice couple and also with our friendly host during the breakfast. The black cat was adorable who is very skilled at hunting:)
Cons: It was very difficult to find the property. We found the street but there was no remarkable sign to the property. We made a last minute booking, therefore we had been given no entry-code of the gate to the road, we got no response to our door bell and phone. At the last moment a car went out opening the gate and we entered the road. At the end of the little road we found the property but the maid was not opening the door since she has been given no information. We waited for our host a little bit longer, then she arrived, she made us feel comfortable by her very friendly attitude. We suggest you to book a few days earlier before your stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location with country views but within 5 minutes of St Remy. A lovely swimming pool, delicious breakfast outdoors. There are two guest rooms at the property only and they are quiet and beautifully appointed. Top quality bathroom and mattress and superb aircon which we badly needed! Sat nav took us directly to the property. Nathalie is a delightful hostess and goes out of her way to make your stay comfortable. She speaks fluent English.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very personal service
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Optimal location, very good and rich breakfast; nice and very clean room.
Cons: Be careful when you have the shower. The bathroom floor gets wet!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly host. Comfortable bed. Quiet semi rural environment. Kilometre walk into St Remy village. Very helpful information given to us on arrival.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly, interesting and helpful owner went out of her way to create an exceptional poolside breakfast every morning and to make us feel special. Beautiful Provencal styled, comfortable room and bathroom with separate light cooking facilities and dining area. Walking distance from St Remy and local supermarket and restaurants. Fascinating Glanum Roman town remains just outside the town only minutes from the property.
Cons: Very difficult to find property initially as located away from the private road access through a couple of gates and a long driveway. A larger sign on the outside gate would help tired travellers locate it more easily.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The room was well decorated and comfortable..especially the bed! Nathalie our host was very friendly and chatty and prepared delicious homemade breakfasts. The pool and garden are lovely. Although you can walk into St Remy in about 20 mins, I'd suggest you need transport as the area is quite rural. All in all I'd stay again and would definitely recommend.
Cons: It was a bit difficult to find as there is no number or name on the gate.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! A dreamy place in a wonderful location, quiet and peaceful yet close to quirky St-Remy, cosy and clean rooms, tastefully equipped, with every amenity we could wish for (and more)! Our host Nathalie was very friendly and it was a pleasure chatting with her, event though our stay was so short! Not to mention the delicious breakfast and the nice pool area! A home from home we will visit again for sure!
Cons: ...

Pros: Nice place, good attention from the host, garden and swimming pool to relax in a peaceful setting.
Cons: Cant pay by card, not convenient. WIFI unstable.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Felt more like an upscale b&b than hotel. Beautiful property just outside of town. Each room is different, esthetically a mix of original and contemporary decor. Comfortable beds. Breakfast was served outside, a continental with wonderful breads, yogurt, fruit, juices, etc, Had dinner one night, table outside on patio, simple but fresh local ingredients exquisitely prepared. (note: meals were not included in rate) Service was extremely gracious. Five minute drive to the center of St Remy.
Cons: Internet awful, nothing in our rooms, very slow where we could find a signal. Complicated by the fact that cellular coverage (verizon/bouygues) was weak.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just a fabulous quaint / yet modern villa in southern france. What probably made it so incredible was the food.. just amazing!! Alice, Amandaine and Caroline were the best.
Cons: Nothing! It was perfect from the moment we walked in the door and the bent over backwards to meet our needs and requests.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The dinner and breakfast were absolutely magnificent - everything we would dream about in the French countryside, but even better. Our hostesses were lovely, the grounds were charming, and our accommodations were perfect. Even though we only stayed for one night, it will always be a memorable stop on our tour through Europe.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Unique Mas that combines traditional Mas architecture with amazingly modern decoration and art. Exquisite decoration!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast and warmly reception.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The 4 good fairies (owner and staff taking good care of us), amazing food ( breakfast, lunch, dinner and juices), comfort in the garden and by the swimming pool, opportunity to chitchat with other guests, yoga classes, comfortable bed, the overall “Namaste” flavor , art scattered in every corner promoting local artists and artisans
Cons: Wi-Fi is a bit weak but maybe this is an advantage, some more information about walkies and rides and activities around could help (this is not a dislike, just a suggestion)

Pros: Good place
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was copious and generous with very good croissants and local fruits. The property was quiet, comfortable and charmingly rustic with 19th century antique furniture and local paintings. There was a nice terrace outside to take breakfast under the wisteria
Cons: Nothing
6.7 Good
Pros: The property was an easy walk to St Remy so it was a perfect location for us, although the road was a little dangerous at night, we were ok with a flashlight. There's plenty to do in St Remy, plus the Alpilles a short drive away for hiking. The room we had in the attic was huge and very old fashioned (exactly what we wanted). We loved the vintage furniture and style. It was also very private, we didn't see anyone else apart from at breakfast. For the ladies- the hairdryer provided was excellent! Breakfast was good, although entirely sweet. No options of cheese/meats. Fine for me, but my partner would have liked a savory option.
Cons: No hand soap was provided in the bathroom, only body wash. Luckily I had some with me, but this a basic necessity and for the price paid, this kind of thing should be included. There was also no wine opener in the room which would have been nice. The pool seemed badly maintained, I used it once and there were lots of dead insects floating in it which was a bit off-putting. Likewise, the loungers were a bit dirty. We were also treated to a guy using a leaf blower for about an hour one afternoon which was very irritating.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Simply beautiful house. We had the beautiful room with the garden view. Quiet, peaceful. Lovely hosts and delicious breakfast.
Cons: I loved everything!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great host and the room was very spacious and beautifully decorated. Parking is availablle free of charge and breakfast was quite good as well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent. The hostess Madeline was so sweet and offered us a beautiful breakfast every morning on our time schedule. Great croissants and great coffee. The room was very quiet, very clean, and very spacious and very nicely decorated. The property was beautiful...just as shown in the photos.
Cons: It was excellent, no complaints or suggestions at all.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The history and character of the surroundings, artworks and breakfast table settings and implements. This was faded glory with lots of charm and taste and discernement of this house was everywhere. The host may not know how to deal with the Internet, but the attention to detail and the original quality, beauty and age of the property, gardens and interiors were superb. The first host in France who knew how to brew a cup of tea in a tea pot. Fresh strawberries and yoghurt and bread and home-made jams. The coffee pots and other table ware were old family silver! The dining room had marvellous art works and authentic furnishings and artifacts. The bedroom and huge en-suite we equally as well appointed of a bourgeois old family. Comfort was not sacrificed. The bathroom was well heated as the cold mistral was blowing. The host told me that her husband was in hospital with a broken hip. She was a remarkable woman to deal with us alone and satisfy our needs fully.
Cons: Some problems accessing the WiFi. No shared kitchen as advertised. Shower in bath not with a shower enclosure.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful house and property, close to St Remy. Nice restaurants a short drive away, there are a couple of restaurants in walking distance too. Breakfast was delicious, and included pastries, jams and fruits. The hosts were lovely, and even though we couldn't speak French, we still managed to communicate. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Pros: Gladis who manage the property is a star. Very friendly, accommodating and service minded. Excellent continental breakfast including a fruit bowl. Also having kitchen facilities should you like to cook or manage a light meal. Fridge to store food stuffs should you like as well as offering different drinks (e.g. water, soft drinks, beer or wine). In addition Saint Rémy de Provence is an excellent location for different day trips in the area.
Cons: The water in the pool didn’t look very inviting.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We booked a last minute reservation here and couldn’t have been more impressed! The property is beautiful and a short walk to the restaurants/shops. Our room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was extremely spacious. We were told breakfast was included and weren’t expecting much but were delighted to wake up to a table set outside where we were served a spread of fresh juice, fruit, and big basket of pastries. I really can’t recommend this place enough!!

Cons: There was nothing we didnt like
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast Hospitality Great location
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Our room was on the ground floor, near the pool. The air conditioning worked! The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was included, but we didn't try it. There was no TV. The pool was clean and cool, with plenty of beach chairs, and beach towels were provided. Our bathroom was clean but tiny. Location was all right--about an 8-minute walk into Saint-Rémy--but not beautiful. Parking was available, but not shaded. We had a peaceful, quiet getaway from the Burgundy heat.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Delightful, small hotel with pool and just 10 minute walk into the centre.
Cons: The only downside was the dog next door which barked incessantly during the day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about the Mas des Tourterelles was admirable. The welcome was charming, the room and en suite facilities were elegant in a tasteful, traditional provencal style. Breakfast was served at a table on the wisteria and vine- covered terrace outside our room. It consisted of a fresh fruit salad, fruit juice, excellent fresh bread, croissants and pains au chocolate and very good coffee. Parking was free and the cost of a night's stay, including breakfast, compared very favourably with prices we paid for other, less comfortable accommodation in France during the previous ten days.
Cons: We liked everything about the Mas des Tourterelles.

Pros: I loved the decor. The quality of the bedding and the mattress were superb
Cons: It was €25 each to use the spa which I thought was expensive and you needed to make an advance appointment so not very accessible
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a find! Beautiful accommodation in typical french style with great pool area to relax. Great breakfast at very reasonable price. Drinks/snacks available throughout the day by the pool. Excellent location just a short stroll into St Remy. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would love to return to Provence and if so will definitely stay at Hotel du Soleil et Spa.
Cons: No evening meals if you didn't want to venture out.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Convenient to everything in town. Staff is friendly & efficient. Cleaning ladies were amazing. Everything was very clean. Quaint and charming property. Would stay at this hotel again whilst in Remy area. There is a pool which we didn't use but looked lovely. If you have a rental car, there is parking which is a plus. Our rental car had navigation which directed us to the hotel easily from Marseille airport.
Cons: No iron or ironing board in room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, spacious room, lovely bathroom, friendly and helpful staff.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Great restaurants in the area
Cons: No 24hr checkin so if you arrive late, very challenging. No elevator and no assistance with baggage so had to carry heavy bags up two flights of stairs. It was our anniversary and I had informed the hotel of that and was expecting a special welcome but they did not even achknowledge it. Didn’t allow us to use there wine glasses to enjoy a bottle of wine Rooms missing some basic facilities that we would expect from a hotel (I.e iron) We arrived for breakfast at 10am one day which is last orders and there was literally nothing left, yet we still got charged full price for it. Very disappointing stay

Cons: Poor wifi connection
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was absolutely beautiful and right in the middle of town. The people that worked there were amazing- a girl at the front desk walked with me to a few hair salons because I didn’t know French which was above and beyond her job.
Cons: The bathroom did not have a shower so you had to get into the tub and use the shower extension which was difficult
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location and cleanliness
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I absolutely loved this hotel. The staff were delightfully friendly and accommodating and the grounds are very elegant and spacious. The room is kept spotlessly clean with a lovely turndown service. The bathroom was perfectly nice. I didn't have one of the super dooper baths which I imagine is gorgeous (I chose to have a room with terrace which was possibly a mistake, see below) but it served purpose in a bright modern way. The room was perfectly ok for a solo traveller. Otherwise perhaps a bit on the small side. The pool area is fairly compact but was never too busy and is very beautiful. I made full use of the spa which was incredible and left me feeling very relaxed. Massages and facials are excellent. The location couldn't be better. The enchanting town of St Remy is literally on the doorstep so that I could walk everywhere and find a different restaurant for every meal. As a consequence, I didn't have breakfast at the hotel which seemed overpriced bearing in mind you can find breakfast in several lovely surrounding cafes for half the price or less! But truthfully the hotel made for a wonderful experience. A proper holiday. I'd happily return.
Cons: I thought my room was pleasant but the terrace was pointless since it barely saw sunshine, felt cramped and the furniture uncomfortable. I had a very pretty hanging chair which looked nice but was also a bit pointless since it was crammed into an uninviting corner - it was good to look at though! Also, my bed was too soft and unsupportive for me although others might like that. But see above for the rest which compensated accordingly. Overall these niggles were outweighed by the positives.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location and design
Cons: Super small room and restaurant menu, shortage of staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Breakfast was great and the place where we took it was amazing !
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Super clean. Minimalistic and stylish room. Nespresso coffee and organic tea in the room. Amazing location next to all the cafes and shops.
Cons: A little noisy during the weekend due to local bars. Some of the stuff did not speak English and couldn’t even check us out.

Pros: Rooms were comfortable and town close by. Beautiful town worth a visit!
Cons: while the breakfast was fine and location stunning 25 euros seemed steep as should you require hot breakfast this would involve an additional amount which seemed excessive

Cons: Rooms small, a little tired & faded. Balconies very small. Not as generous with towels as other 5* hotels. Shower faulty. Service around pool slow except for one excellent member of staff. Unusually, no hotel shop.

7.5 Good
Pros: The location, the surrounding park, very romantic place
Cons: Dining not available two times: Monday closed and Tuesday not available for booking even if requested initially: no flexibility to find a solution. Beautifull garden might be more attractive if found a better equilibrium between romantic abandon and lack of mainteinance
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is absolutely amazing. It is surrounded by a large park which makes the property to fall in love with. It is very close to st remy, so very convenient access to the city.
Cons: The restaurant was closed when we stayed there. I believe it is closed on sundays and mondays. This is a pity. It would have been wonderful to be able to dine at the chateau as well.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was so pretty- the rooms, with the high ceilings and tall doors, the massive garden with a lake, the library, the restaurant. This is one of the cutest, Frenchest places we have been to.
Cons: It is located a bit far out of the town and the bus stop so having a car is a must.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very beautiful old styled Chateau. Amazing location for breakfast. Very calm at the territory.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very elegant historic place. Room (mini suite) was huge and the bathroom was very big with options of bath or shower. The sorrounding gardens were lovely. The place is a few minutes drive from Saint Remy and it was nice to stay in this lovely Chateau.
Cons: Dinner was very bad. I order the meat and it was not chewable and was changed to the fish portion, which didn't have any tast. My husband got stomec sick right after finishing his meal and had a very bad night. He told the guy while checking out but got no respond.... This ruined our experience in this place. A minibar/fridge and coffee/tea facility in the room would've been nice in such expensive place.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Charming chateau, truly “ancient” but still cured, peaceful garden, nice and clean room, very good breakfast, helpful staff, great position 5 mins from St Remy.
Cons: We had some troubles with the “all-day served” meal (assiette of charcuterie and fromage) which quite ruined part of our day and did not get much compensation for that - otherwise we enjoyed the place.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was so pretty- the rooms, with the high ceilings and tall doors, the massive garden with a lake, the library, the restaurant. This is one of the cutest, Frenchest places we have been to.
Cons: It is a bit far away from the town and the bus stop so having a car is a must.

Cons: No iron or ironing board available for guests in the hotel. Entry road has pot holes.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was superb. Not to clear about water heating but it was okay for our needs. Parking was really useful and location was ideal for investigating the town. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Bathroom was clean and well-equipped.
Cons: A little noisy locally one night but generally all good. Aircon was a bit difficult to get right but it was lovely and cool when we arrived.
7.5 Good
Pros: This hotel used to be a "Grand" hotel after its renovation circa 2000. That was almost 20 years ago and it seems that management has let it go downhill since. The staff is very conscientious but perhaps misdirected. Although the hotel needs a serious facelift, better upkeep and we had to change rooms, we enjoyed our stay as the gardens are beautiful and there is a homey feeling to the place.
