Would not recommend a stay here , as service unwelcoming and indifferent and premises neglected dirty and depressing
For family reason I had to leave the hotel after the first night . The hotel did not attend to refund the two other prepaid night . The hotel is run down , no bar no service no lunch, terrible breakfast and very dirty room with light not switching off during the night !!! . Never seen such a terrible hotel for this price ! I want my money back ! The amount charged for the three night is totally overrated and unjustified.
The location and the view of the lake.
Our room was located next to the elevator and was extremely noisy!
The location is absolutely gorgeous. It overlooks the lake Nahuel Huapi and it’s just overall a great location. The staff are also friendly and kind. The rooms are quite spacious and appear to be somewhat clean (some small stains in the curtains, but nothing too big). There were also a lot of couches and “living room spaces” in which you could hang around.
To start with, during the whole of my stay, I could not connect to the WiFi. There were two networks, but none of them seemed to function. When I did manage to connect one of my devices to one of the networks, the connection was awful and lasted only for about 30 minutes at the time, if that. As a result, I ended up using my data for the majority of my stay, which was not an ideal situation. This was, however, the smallest of the inconveniences I encountered during my stay. The bathroom in our room did not work properly. After flushing the toilet, it kept losing water. In order to stop that, you had to turn on the bidet until the toilet stopped losing water (but you could only turn on the cold water, as the hot water of the bidet made a less than pleasant sound). This was quite annoying as you had to stay in the bathroom until the toilet stopped losing water. Quite enervating to say the least. The other facilities the hotel offered (pool and sauna) were also not perfect. The pool was quite cold however, that has to do with Bariloche regulation so you can’t fault the hotel for that. The sauna was quite small (4 people fit really uncomfortably) but it worked. I purposely left the worst part of the hotel for last: the restaurant. Now, it is worth mentioning that the restaurant is not owned by the hotel. Nevertheless, it is a facility that they offer and therefore, should be included in the review. Me and my brother ordered dinner there. Menu was small, but that’s to be expected from a small restaurant. My brother ordered trout with mashed potatoes and I ordered the simplest dish on the menu: ricotta ravioli with bolognese sauce. After one hour of waiting, the dishes were disappointing to say the very least. My brother’s trout was according to him, too salty and just plain disgusting. I didn’t taste it, but I did note that the colour of the trout seemed slightly off. I did, however, try some of his mash potatoes.
The rooms are spacious and very clean. They are lovely. The views of the lake are great and the garden is potentially a major asset. The breakfast has a reasonable variety. They were super kind regarding letting me check in early. Really sweet, lovely staff.
This says it is a 4 star hotel, but they don't even serve lunch or drinks after breakfast until 8pm. Wifi is free but very poor. The beach is a public beach. Although the only access is through the hotel grounds or off the lake, the local teenagers break in through a gap in the fence so it was actually packed after 3pm, including dogs. They don't have enough outdoor seating. The garden is a major plus but they don't make the most of it at all. It really needs weeding and more seating created. It could be wonderful. Very little English spoken, even at reception. We had 2 breakfasts. The first time we arrived at 9am. There were no bowls left, loads of dirty tables. In the time I had breakfast this was not rectified.
Very kind staff, charming building, nice breakfast, most beautiful view over the lake, clean tidy room :), warm swimmingpool.
