The location of the hotel is good and the staff were quite friendly.
The hotel was undergoing major renovations (something that wasn't apparently until the hotel replied to my request for a bay-view room). There was paper over our window and scaffolding outside; as a result the room was very dim. We booked three nights but only stayed for one and took our business elsewhere for the remainder. Also, no breakfast!
Great Location, right next to Fishermen Wharf
We are a regular customer at this hotel. We like it from the past experiences. But they dissapointed us on this trip. Currently (Mar'20), the hotel is under a major renovation. No facility available to guest, limited room choices, very noisy during the day, water supply cutoff occasionally. Entrance, lobby, hallway, guest room are no longer maintained .....and are in poor quality. Better wait until the renovation is completed.
I have stayed at this location for the last 5 yrs and always loved it and bragged about it. Never again.
Was not told about renovations when I called for reservations. Talked to people at least 3 times prior to trip and was never told anything. I had asked about the Denny's in the lobby and was never told it was gone. Saw a renovation paper in my room when I checked in. Since it was 130am, I was going to ask about it the next morning. How wonderful that at 7am they started with the pounding, drilling and hammering. What a wonderful way to wake up.I should of been told when I checked in and asked for my usual 5th flr room. Instead I was told that they were all full. Found a new hotel to stay at now when visiting SF.
Staff was awesome! They provided a requested crib and were very helpful with all questions.
