There's a "wine & Coffee bar" that serves some food. We ordered a salad, sandwich, and drinks. It took an hour and a half (with weak explanations) for us to get our meal. As we were leaving, I saw the "Chef" making another salad right at the bar. Chef???
Location, room, staff all excellent.
A bit expensive the stay, parking and breakfast.
The room was nice enough, and the location was good.
All facilities stated on the website were NOT available. It stated in room -dining but this was not available. Stated main restaurant was open till 10:30pm for dinner but it was not open at all. We came back from dinner to get a drink from the bar at 10:50pm and it was closed even though website stated it was open until midnight. Room facilities for a suite were very basic, with no mini bar and only an old coffee machine (with coffee for only one person?) and only one robe. I would of expected facilities for two! Furthermore the gentleman on reception was extremely rude and unhelpful - he is not made for front of house! We complained about his attitude and asked to speak to the manager. The manager was much more helpful and communicated well with us and recommended a great restaurant. Breakfast service is poor with limited options. To sum up, I would not stay here again! My score 1/10! The hotel couldn’t be more unhelpful and unaccommodating if they tried!
Loved the location. Access to many places.
One of the male wait staffs in restaurant was not the friendliest. He did not remove plate from table from one of friends buffet so it sat in front of his wife. She picked a piece of bacon off of it and he charged them for two buffets. Felt that was wrong. Plus she self served her own water to top it off. That was only bad experience. At first did not give me a room with ocean view, but corrected it.
The Sheraton’s San Juan branch is located in the heart of historic and romantic old San Juan, directly on the waterfront. A myriad of restaurants, art galleries, museums, and upscale stores welcome visitors, inviting them to linger in the city.
The rooms range from a smaller guest room with no view to an expansive executive suite with views of both the city and the ocean. Babysitting services and free Wi-Fi appeal to families while all travelers enjoy three differing breakfast options. The Sheraton Fitness room and indoor pool provide excellent accommodations for staying consistent with workout routines; however, the rooftop pool steals the show- a favorite among guests. The hotel’s Palio Restaurant serves local delicacies and Puerto Rican Fusion dishes. Meanwhile, the AROMA Wine & Coffee Lounge offers adults a place to relax. The local area offers free trolley services. Within a half mile lay many local attractions including Fortress El Morro, Galeria Botello, and El Capitolio making the hotel pedestrian-friendly. For those wanting to venture further out, the Zen Spa, Mimar area, and Condado beaches are within a two-mile radius of the hotel.
The combination of quality hospitality and location make the Sheraton one of the premier hotels in the historic old San Juan area.
