10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was beautiful, serine and quiet. The views were stunning! The room was comfortable and airy, gorgeous decor. They have a new restaurant with a chef that is stupendous! Every meal was better than the next. You can actually "taste" the passion and love in the food. Perfection. The hosts have a blueprint of above and beyond in superior service. I couldn't have dreamed up a better experience.
Cons: Not applicable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I love the energy of how they all were welcoming us at front ! and every each day it was like new day experience and with classical music and nature view of mountain and water, nothing more you can ask!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and so were the dinners. Yasser, our host, was super courteous and gave us exceptional service. He really made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. He even helped us coordinate our sunset horse back riding tour with Rancho Chilamate. I liked that the location was secluded, away from the busy town. It was completely quiet and we were able to enjoy the beautiful sounds of the birds, insects and the wind blowing against the trees. Very relaxing and rejuvenating. The views were absolutely breathtaking, especially the sunsets over the ocean.
Cons: Some days it would get a bit warm in the afternoons and air conditioning would have been nice, however, it was not unbearable, It would then cool down in the late afternoon for the sunsets into the night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just a nice and quiet hotel with an awesome view and very nice host. We only stayed for 1 night but we had a great stay. They also offer the posibility to do your laundry and to eat dinner. The food was just great, even as the breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I like everything, from the weather, the received, as my girlfriend will say, the music they have inspire us, I got to say in this hotel you are not just another guest, you are part of something different, we felt like we were part of their family, just AWESOME
Cons: Nothing to complain, everything was just perfect for us
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Villa Loma del Socorro is a gem tucked away in the hills of SJDS. If you're looking for peaceful respite and stunning views, this is your spot!! Yassir is a kind, welcoming host who entertained us with stories and was quick to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was excellent. We could not have asked for a better stay!
Cons: The hotel is rather far from the city center so you need a car or taxi but that is part of the point- to get away. So this is not really a negative per se, just something to know before you go.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Jasser was an amazing host. Walked us through check in swiftly & made us extremely comfortable with the property. Service was impeccable and I’m pretty sure I couldn’t think of a more peaceful and tranquil place to stay. Not to mention the property and views are absolutely world class!
Cons: Wished we could have stayed longer!

Pros: The property is beautiful. The location is great. The hotel is only about a block from the beach. The owners and staff were great. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. They also helped a lot with booking transportation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and comfy beds , best beds in San Juan I think, also best bathroom fixtures . Good breakfast .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The house was very beautiful, we loved sitting outdoors, and Heath was a great host, even offering us a lift to town when we were running late for our boat!
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Rooms and so much living space! Every thing artistically made and inviting. We have been here in low season and basically have had 2 floors to ourselves: replete with decks, patios, pools, hammocks, rocking chairs... owners live off the property but are very accommodating and helpful! Will recommend and return.
Cons: The owners are learning Spanish! Yay My male companion does not speak Spanish , thus a few mis communications with amenities first day. This too passed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole house has a great atmosphere, there are several hangouts both in and outdoors. I will definitely go back to this fantastic hotel again, it really made my stay in San Juan del Sur.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous, goumet breakfasts.... different each morning! Beautiful porch with lounge chairs and hammocks!!
Cons: It was a bit of a challenge to get the temp the way we wanted it in the shower, but the shower, bathroom and amenities were all first class.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We were staying in the suite. All amenities and facilities were perfect. Beds super comfortable, showers lovely and the airco's really good. Netflix for the children's room is an awesome idea. The common areas are very spaceous and especially in the evening very romantic, with affordable drinks and an awesome pool. Breakfast in the morning is a nice socializing moment with possible other guests and the food was with splendid local flavours on its best! The owners Angela, Heath and little Oliver are super kind and helpful people. The welcoming was very nice and all so well organized. Highly reccomendable!

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location and scenery are beautiful. Eden provides a really peaceful experience. Loved having access to a yoga studio and the morning communal breakfast.
Cons: We did yoga every morning and thought that was included with our room. We only learned there was a fee at check out. Also booking excursions or eating dinner at the hotel is much more expensive then doing it on your own.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts, setting, ammenities and proximity to everything. Great place to share with like minded travellers, would definitly recomend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners are very friendly and take care of everything you need. The location is just beautiful and perfect to relax. Breakfast is delicious and the menu changes every day. We enjoyed our stay a lot and would always come back!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really amazing hosts, including the kitties and pups! They were so gracious and helpful the entire time. The food was also fabulous!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved our cabana. It was so beautiful, clean, mosquito nets on windows and another net over the bed. Setting is so beautiful, surrounded with plants and amazing views of the sea in the horizon. Breakfast was the best we’ve had in Nicaragua, it was varied each morning so not repetitive, tea, eggs, pancakes, fruit, oatmeal banana mix with fruit, porridge.....can’t complement the food enough. Free shuttle to town at 10.30 each morning and back at 4 also. Only $5 in taxi also so it’s great to be outside San Juan but very easy to get in &out as you please. Owners and staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Leaving this beautiful place.
7.1 Good
Pros: The views and the common areas.
Cons: A little far from everything. It’s a 15$ taxi each way so that’s unfortunate. The room have mosquito nets but still got stung so much during my sleep. It’s also really loud at night so wasn’t able to get much sleep.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Inviting, friendly and relaxed ambiance. Hosts were very helpful in giving advice about what to visit around or where to eat. The first night they prepared for us dinner. The property has 2 dogs and 2 cats that we enjoyed playing with.
Cons: Mosquitos during the rainy season (which is not of course related to the facility)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location with a pool overlooking the Nacascolo bay close to San Juan del Sur. Cabins are very nice with king size bed, warm and strong shower (which is rare in Nicaragua) and a hammock and chairs on your balcony. Lighting is also with yellow instead of the white they use in most places, which gives a much nicer ambience. They have a self service bar and a very good breakfast that is included in their stay. They have a optional 3 course evening dinner which might sound expensive compared to local prices, but is actually quite good value as one way taxis to San Juan will cost a least 5 dollars and prices there are at least 10 dollars for a simple main plate (it might look less on menu, but they add 25% in and around town for tax and service)
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We had such a great stay at this lovely hotel. The hosts and staff were really friendly and the breakfast was delicious. The yoga shala was also absolutely stunning and the yoga class was great. I would definitely recommend it and will hopefully come back one day.
Cons: The only thing I would say is that the breakfast could have been served earlier than 9am.

Pros: Extra clean! Really nice room and close to everything.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: You may use the Kitchen when You want . The room Is nice and big. Very nice garden Witch chair and table . Very close to the beach and to the bus .
Cons: Check in was delayed . We came At 1 pm and we must waiting 1,5 for the room . Nobody said sorry.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Romano. The hostel is in a great location and is well layed out. It feels lovely and quiet and our room was decent. Good fan, nice bed and big wardrobe for your belongings. The staff was helpful and I really appreciated the free water.
Cons: Overall the hostel and the rooms felt clean, but there were hairs from previous guests on our bathroom sink. Secondly, before we arrived I received an email from Casa Romano asking about our arrival time. They said that if I did not reply they would cancel my reservation. I understand the desire for information but it didn't feel very welcoming. I would suggest asking about arrival times without threatening to cancel reservations first, and if people don't reply on the email then perhaps send a second email on the potential cancellation.
7.0 Good
Pros: location was great very close to the beach, room was clean and had a fairly quiet air conditioning unit and a fan.
Cons: kitchen very small, very little work space. No windows in the bedroom. Shared space not very user friendly, TV above motorbikes and only a couple of chairs. Staff could have been more friendly and welcoming.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Central position, very close to the beach and restaurants, nice and very clean building, spotless and spacious room, comfortable bed (my husband didn't like the mattress, maybe too soft for him but for me - not tall and slim, went under a spinal fusion surgery few years ago - it was really comfortable), decent kitchen facilities.
Cons: One information was not correct but overall fine.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was very clean and comfortable. Use of kitchen was nice. Location perfect, beach and shuttles arround the corner.
Cons: Bed was a little bit small. Common area is not a very social place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location, super friendly staff, great room and bed.
Cons: Nothing.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was friendly, the property was very clean and well maintained and the location is a one minute walk from the beach, cafes and restaurants. They also provide a cupboard for you to lock up your valuables when you leave your room.
Cons: Although it is common for most hostels, I miss not being able to take a hot shower.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great Value for money and centrally located. We used the common kitchen. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. The rooms were very clean and we had our own sitting area outside the room.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Facility was nice, well located, and comfortable. Rooms were good, and staff were friendly. Victoria was nice and accommodating, and she has some sweet dance moves.
Cons: Only complaint was the security guy’s Phone. It kept going off - dinging for each text he received, as well as the music streaming from its small speaker. Putting it on silent would have been better.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: -The lovely pool we had for ourselves. -The more than excellent shower -The "terrace tower" with excellent view over the bay -Comfortable bed with cool airco
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very spacious room, bathroom a bit small for that size room. Plenty of room to make a bigger bathroom. Enjoyed the outdoor patio overlooking the water and city. The common areas were clean and comfortable.
Cons: I was charged $7.00 to use the washer and dryer. Would be a nice touch to have small continental breakfast for guest that don't want to get up and go out right away.
7.0 Good
Pros: Simple but it had all we needed
Cons: Staff was hardly ever around, luckily they were there when we checked in though.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is 'a home made for travelers, by travelers' and I absolutely agree. It was our home away from home. It's a block away from everything so perfect location, the room was spacious. Nice big bed, a/c, a really nice hot shower. There's a little pool to chill in, a living room area with couches and a kitchen. Yader was really nice and helped us with everything. This was the best accommodation we stayed at in Nicaragua!
Cons: That we didn't stay longer!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Air con worked well, bed was comfortable, and pool was great, right beside the kitchen living area. Good (cold) water pressure in the shower, and the manager spoke good English - what more do you want?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Relaxing excellent attention, centric, cool place
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location, staff is wonderful one of my favorite places to stay in town
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great quiet location very close to the beach and close to the town center, easy access. We had our own kitchen and terrase, and there are several supermarkets nearby. Spacious bathroom. Friendly and very helpful host.
Cons: Kitchen utensils were old.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, pool, quiet, safe
Cons: Nothing
Hush Maderas - San Juan del Sur - Pool

With a stay at Hush Maderas in San Juan del Sur, you'll be on the beach, within a 15-minute drive of San Juan del Sur Beach and Playa Marsella. Featured amenities include luggage storage and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
7.1 Good
Pros: Beautiful setting with gorgeous views of playa maderas and infinity pool. Dorm beds were big and comfortable with individual fans. Quiet place to chill out and enjoy the beach, sunset and sunrise.
Cons: The dorm room was quite cramped given that there were several couples sharing beds - so instead of 6 people we were 9 in the room, sharing just one bathroom. The bathroom was pretty grimy - I don’t think it was cleaned while I was there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful boutique hostel with a stunning view. Would definitely stay here again. Food is great too and reasonably priced.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing spot, nice big rooms, food was really nice. Our favorite thing was the yoga, the classes were great and really affordable! Highly recommend!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Best views of Maderas and best sunset!! Breakfast is delicious and big and the rooms are nice
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location with perfect view, its 30 min’ by shuttle from san juan-definitely worth it. Staff was great and the dorms are big with super comfy double beds
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I was recommended this place by a friend and It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. The views from the hotel were incredible. The breakfast which was included was delicious and the restaurant offered great food for low prices the rest of the day. The staff were incredibly friendly! The dorm room is double size mattresses with steps up to the bunks (very nice) and is cleaned everyday. I also liked that the restaurant/bar shuts down at 9:30 so it’s nice and quiet if you’re like me and like to go to bed early and have a good sleep!! And the beach is just a five minute walk away! I stayed 6 nights and thought this place was perfect.
Cons: The only improvement I would make is if someone could have given me a bit more information upon check in. I was just given a key and shown the room and was a little confused about who I should ask about how to get to the beach, to town etc.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: View is out of this world. You cant get an infinity pool and such a view elsewhere for $20 in the world. Free welcome drink. Free water all the time. Just amazing.
Cons: Cleanliness needs to be improved. There were stains on the sheets and towel. They need to clean the sunbeds and shower more often. Meals in the Restaurant are not $5 like some other guest reviewed, food is really expensive there for nicaraguan standards. Breakfast are really small portions.

This hotel has facilities measuring 5382 square feet (500 square meters), including conference space. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were in the forest with a peak-a-boo view of the ocean, through almost all other bungalows and villas have amazing ocean views. We were surrounded by wildlife, monkeys for example in the adjacent trees 24/7. The facilities were 5 star, and the room not only very nice but very interesting decor. The private beach was amazing, you feel like you are on a desert island. The staff and food was top notch. There is a lot to do at, or from, this property. My girls highlight was horseback riding (beach and jungle).
Cons: Its a 4km drive from gate to reception. And before that a few miles on a bumpy dirt road from the highway. So you are isolated. Internet is great, everywhere, but no cell service. This would be the ultimate romantic destination. I was just me with my teen daughters, so I wanted to go into town (30 minutes away, $60RT by private car). There are no windows in the bungalows, just screens. There is an air conditioner over the bed, and ceiling fans, but basically you are open-air all the time (restaurant/bar/lobby is open air). The do a great job, but it's not 100% mosquito free.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We traveled the word but this place is something unique. There are just few villas that were constructed to blend in the environment and not cause too much stress to the nature and wildlife. Beach is just amazing 1,5 km wide with the river estuary right in the middle of it. Before arriving we were a little bit stressed to sleep in the room with no windows, just mosquito nets surrounded by the jungle, but waking up with the spectacular view over an empty beach is just out of this world. All the staff is completely amazing just like most of the Nica people. Everyone really enjoys doing their job and is extremely happy when their guests are happy. We liked our turtle watching tour and enjoyed horseback riding. Massages in spa at the beach are amazing as well as all the food in the resort. We especially liked the breakfast and dinner menus that were changing daily. Even though the resort is isolated and there is no cellphone reception, wifi works better than in most of the city hotels.
Cons: that we had to leave
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were amazing and I had a private plunge pool, massage therapists were awesome, and the restaurant staff couldn’t have been friendlier. You’re one with nature when you come here.
Cons: Lots of stairs and gets really dark at night and of lots of critters - raccoons, monkeys which sound scary at night when you’re not used to the sounds.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptionally beautiful location and views from the room. Pool and beach were lovely and relaxing. Best massage I've ever had and galloping along the beach at sunset was a highlight.
Cons: Food menus, activities and spa extortionately overpriced considering the rest of Nicaragua. Standard of food did not warrant >$30 per main and onsite activities should be free of charge (a tour of the farm was around $30 pp)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff & location. Great beach. Calm.
Cons: I liked everything. A warning thou for those who can't do stairs.

7.1 Good
Pros: The view was nice. The pod rooms were interesting with great views.
Cons: The hotel is a bit isolated and there is a hike up the hill.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Views are nice.
Cons: I would say the worst was the toilet in the room, no separation, no privacy. Location is terrible, no way to find it without their help. Room is tiny, breakfast is a joke.
7.9 Good
Pros: The views are amazing but the one thing to remember is when you have views you must go up. Carlos made the stay amazing he is so nice and helpful. The continental breakfast was good.
Cons: The steps to go up to unit, I am a fit person but it would be hard for some one that was not. We did not have internet but not properties fault. I would of liked better bed pillows.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The views
6.0 Good
Pros: The view and the concept of a shipment container. The tranquility of the site. Carlos our contact at the facility was most helpful but he had limited resources and could not fix the room problems.
Cons: No restaurant or spa on site as advertised or implied on your website. Continental breakfast was a boxed meal bought in town and delivered to us in a plastic box. Shower did not drain for over two hours. Toilet leaked at flush lever. Quality of furnishings in our room were sub par. Pool water was never clear so we did not use it. Water pressure was low so water from faucets was inadequate.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great little spot up in the hills just outside San Juan. Views were incredible and made relaxing by the pool pretty cool. Carlos went out of his way to make the stay easy - massive thanks for hosting and for the recommendations!
Cons: Getting to the property is pretty tough. The road is incredibly steep, with some taxi drivers not offering lifts due to the hill! The views are worth it though.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: If you want to enjoy the Nica experience, this is the place! A little secluded place that will let you enjoy amazing views and a really nice and calm rest!! Carlos is amazing, truly amazing, always taking care for anything you might need!! Perfect for a couples getaway!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great
Cons: No internet No tv There was no small fridge The bed needs to be with the bed frame and be more specific with location
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The views were absolutely insane and was nice to be away from the hussle and Brussel of town but not so far away that it wasn’t accessible. Carlos went above and beyond to accommodate any needs while staying. As a solo female traveller he made sure I was always safe and got me drivers organised for the ride up the hill at night as some local taxis can overcharge a foreigner. My room was bliss and everything was perfect
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It has a great view to the beach and the nature. To wake up in the morning with that view is a great plus
Cons: It has to many steps to get from the parking to the room.

5.0 Okay
Pros: Beautiful historic hotel with an awesome view of the bay. Quiet.
Cons: The staff was unfriendly and seems burdened to provide service. They were seen on their phones instead of tending to our table for breakfast/drinks/dinner. This is different from other hotels in Nicaragua I have recently visited.
7.5 Good
Pros: Our room was comfortable and had a beautiful view! Great location!
Cons: I thought the staff was very cold and uncaring. maybe because of the more corporate feel as opposed to a smaller family run hotel. I have stayed in hotels all over the world, and worked in a high-end hotels in the US and never once have heard of being charged for an early check in. We had breakfast included and took advantage of that the first morning, the breakfast was unedible! Scrambled eggs that looked like soup and practically raw bacon... When the waiter finally asked if it was okay, as I had not touched it, and I said no, could I please just have some fruit, he told me they didn't have any, which seems very hard to believe as there is fruit everywhere! We skipped breakfast the following days. As we where leaving we asked for a bottle of water, (as they had been included during our stay), they told us we had to pay for it now as we had checked out 30 minutes prior. Really??? How petty! We spent the most amount of money here than on any other hotel in Nicauragua, and granted it had a beautiful view and location, however it is the little things that make me want to spend extra money on a hotel! Unfortunately we will not return!
6.5 Good
Pros: The view is amazing as is the location. And the breakfast is pretty good.
Cons: The staff was not super helpful and the facilities were just okay. They look better in the pictures.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and well maintained The bed and room were excellent.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautifull colonial building, well maintained. Very clean and comfortabele
Cons: Some of the personell seem to be not very interested. Unpleasant surprise to have to pay 50 dollars extra for tax, which should be included in the Total cost. Breakfast options limited
6.3 Good
Pros: Sangria was good!
Cons: The staff wasn’t friendly compared to all the other spots in Nicaragua. We really just slept there sat by the pool maybe once or twice. We had breakfast twice but last day switched it up because that was also just okay. Just expensive for Nicaragua and also other guest at the hotel had the same type of room for less and some paid more. Little weird prices were so different.
4.0 Okay
Cons: Room are small, no very clean, and dark. But good location.
7.9 Good
Pros: Good towels. Good air conditioning. Comfortable areas for lounging. Complimentary water bottles daily. Quiet. Strong hair dryer. Great view. Walkable. Fluffy robes, even though they’re too thick for this climate.
Cons: Pool is tiny. When there are two children I the pool, there’s no comfortable space for anyone else. Our room wasn’t cleaned until almost noon even though I specifically requested at reception that it be cleaned while we went for a walk. There’s no desk chair. No convenient place to hang clothes on hangers.

Featured amenities include luggage storage and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
7.0 Good
Pros: Lovely tent, very clean.
Cons: The proximity to others. Given most of the walls of the tent are net you could hear people snoring. Not ideal for couples!
5.0 Okay
Cons: In general I would say overpriced. The huts are beautiful, but made of cotton and very close to each other, so you will hear every breath of your neighbor's. Pool was not in use when we arrived. Staff try to act friendly, but the way they acted made it seem more that they were trying to upsell stuff. We had better places in Nicaragua for half or two thirds of the price.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place to stay. Didn’t do the surf week package and wish I did! Great staff, good size rooms; amazing food and decent surf lessons.
Cons: Toilets are a hike from the rooms. Shuttles didn’t run regular enough to the beach and into town.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: • perfect when in need of repose • small pool to find some time to relax • nicely decorated and cozy dorms • neat showers with refreshing cold water
Cons: • shuttle pick-up needed when you want to go to beach or town. the resort offers free services on particular times which is much appreciated!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We spent 4 nights here over Christmas and what a Christmas we had! There was a group dinner on Christmas Eve with a great atmosphere and the staff had even organised Secret Santa with guests buying each other gifts. The staff here are best we've seen while traveling for the past 4 months around South and Central America. They remember everyone's name, it's really impressive and are such nice people. The food here is unbelievably good with great breakfast, lunch and dinner. Very social resort with group meals and lots of activities. We did a surf lesson, yoga lesson and a beach bonfire so there's lots to do. They also offer weekly surf school packages that include surfing and meals which is what most people were doing. The beach is nearby with a shuttle service fairly regularly. The waters here are crystal clear and perfect for beginners as well as more advanced surfers. The town is a similar distance in the opposite direction with less frequent shuttles. We had a private cabana and bathroom which was truly special and looks better in real life than in the pictures. There is a bar with reasonably priced drinks (beer $1.50) and a nice pool.
Cons: My only observations would be that the shuttles to the town are not very frequent and taxis back cost $20. Some mornings you may be woken by monkeys who like to make themselves heard in the trees but this is a fairly unique experience and not really a negative.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was EVERYTHING ! The decor , the personel , the food , everything was perfect! Would recommend a 1000%
8.3 Excellent
Pros: If you’re an interior design lover then this is the place - beautiful and stylish design throughout the property. Stayed in one of their cabanas and the room was just fantastic; I never wanted to leave the room. Good food options and delicious breakfast. 3 course dinner with a meat and veggie option which was always great. Good surf classes and theory. The yoga teacher Dasha is fantastic. It’s a bit remote but there are shuttles in and out of town/ to the beach.
Cons: Dreamsea is not an adult-only surf camp. There was a guest with a baby that was screaming throughout the entire stay - at night, early morning, whenever you wanted to retreat to your room for a nap. Unfortunately this made my stay way less relaxing which was the same for other guests I spoke to. Yoga classes could not be enjoyed because of the nonstop screaming. It’s not something I’d expect in a boutique surf camp - next time I will pay more attention when booking and stay in an adult-only surf camp.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing facilities! The staff was very nice and friendly. Food fresh and always a vegan option. Up in the woods with monkeys around the corner. It was so nice.
Cons: The pool could have been kept a little bit tidyer.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Maybe a bit more seating options around the pool or on the deck
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We booked this with the 50% off offer so breakfast and mini bar weren't included. It's more like renting a self catering room then a hotel which was fine for us. Steep walk up but well worth it for the views. Bungalow was lovely with great view from the balcony. Really nice infinity pool too. I'd definitely recommend!
7.1 Good
Pros: Nice view and pool.
Cons: There was nobody from the stuff who could speak English. When Booking they mentioned there are complimentary drinks but there werent. Also you couldnt order anything at the reception.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place with awesome pool, super nice staff and great location not far from the town.
Cons: Everything ok
10.0 Excellent
Pros: They got one of the best view to the beach, that make you feel relax, the property is very nice and clean, but don’t expect a hotel this is a house to stay and there are bungalow too really nice by the way.... I love it
Cons: I had a really good experience, I tried to think in something that didn’t like me , but I don’t have anything to said about it...
7.5 Good
Pros: Great location, up a steep hill but 10 minutes walk from town and great views. Lovely swimming pool. Very friendly staff and good breakfast. Kitchen available for guests too.
Cons: There’s pretty extensive construction happening at the moment which means constant noise from 8-6. I was given the room right by the builders despite other ones being available. Could do with more sun loungers around the pool. The Hill is very steep I wouldn’t want to walk it with luggage!
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: The view
Cons: The swimming pool was dirty, no A/C and a bug fell on top of me when I was going to sleep. The staff are unhelpful, unprofessional and rude. We were told breakfast was supposed to be free and we were told to pay when it arrived, which was taken off us when we said we shouldn’t pay because we were told it was complimentary. The walk up the hill is rough and overall the accommodation isn’t worth it if the staff are going to be horrid. The host was there when we were leaving and he didn’t even help us to call a taxi to get to our bus stop so we walked down the hill with all of our luggage without even a goodbye from him. Seriously disappointing, unprofessional and immature staff.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property with views of the bay. The staff were very friendly, the pool and outdoor area around it was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The bungalows themselves offered a cabin feel in the mountains.
Cons: The fridge in our room was pretty rancid and unusable but we were able to use the fridge in the main house which was great.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful views from the hill with lovely big balcony. Infinity pool was lovely (would be even better if they could add lights for night swimming). Friendly staff. Fridge in room (albeit no longer with complimentary drinks). Overall the room was nice, comfortable and well equipped.
Cons: The property is at the top of a steep hill but still close to town, and this is what makes it nicely secluded and with beautiful views.

Pros: Excellent destination to base yourself family friends or solo while in San Juan del Sur. The rooms are comfortabe beautiful and designs stylish simple. Courtyards decorated with small gardens of course - El Jardin. Bathrooms nicely tiled. Hosts are mucho amable and welcoming to all including friendly dogs. Pool is like a spa kept clean and leaf free from recent windy days on the hilltop. This is our 3rd trip to stay at El Jardin in the last 3 years while in Nicaragua.
Cons: Having to leave.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view is spectacular, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the food is excellent! I am greatful I found this tranquil place. The pool is nice and not overly chlorinated like some I've had. A great value. I highly recommend it! And its right across from Nacascolo beach.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: swimming pool
Cons: Everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The views at El Jardin are absolutely incredible! The staff was EXCELLENT and we really enjoyed the food! The rooms were clean and comfy. There was, AC as well as, a ceiling fan, which was a really nice treat!
Cons: This hotel is AMAZING, but it's not near the city center for SJDS - so if you are looking for a hotel walking distance to the bars and restaurants this is not it.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I loved the sight, the location, the fact that the owners are there attending their guests, super kind and helpful. Also loved the peace and that it is a family hotel. No mosquoes! I will definitely recommend El Jardin to friends and family and will surely come back!
Cons: 1. The pool could need a makeover 2. Menu prices were high compared to what was delivered. 3. Kitchen took too long with meals 4. No TVs :( 5. Such a beautiful sight from room 5 but the restaurant could use a nice coat of painting on its rooftop. 6. More Parking Space 7. You had 0 amenities, based on the rate would be good to provide shampoo and conditioner.
4.6 Okay
Cons: It wasn't worth, the place was dirty they need to remodel, put some small fridge to keep cold water at least, the bed was uncomfortable

Pros: The staff is great. German and Rodrigo were amazing hosts. Breakfast was delicious.
Cons: Parking space is limited and the entrance doesn't look as good as the rest of the hotel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location on the beach with a nice pool and friendly staff who prepare a tasty breakfast with plenty of coffee.
Cons: The location is just across the creek from a very loud dance club. If you stay over the weekend, bring noise canceling headphones and don’t take a room with a view. Noise is at a truly astounding loud, thumping level which continues to 6am in the morning.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff! Nice view about the ocean! Clean and cosy.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I like that this is a small hotel right on the beach with a very friendly staff. They were willing to help with anything you needed. The breakfast was excellent!!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was delicious. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Location is perfect, close enough to walk to everything but far enough from the action for relaxing. Pool was very nice and there are lot's of lounging options throughout the hotel.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: It has a great view of the San Juan bay. The employees are very nice and accommodating.
Cons: The bathrooms were okay because sometimes the water pressure wasn’t well. Also, the parking situation is poor and very hard to get in and out of.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location & delicious breakfast!
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice and quiet location on the beach. Good breakfast, nice pool and sunbeds, comfortable (but very small) rooms.
Cons: There’s a small river (larger at high tide) you have to cross when walking to the center of SJDS, meaning wet sandy feet each time you enter or leave the hotel.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely helpful staff, great breakfast. Gorgeous views from the hammock outside our room.
Cons: The first night of our stay there was a loud party by the river until the early hours.
7.1 Good
Cons: Lacation is not too good.

Cons: The rooms on the 1st floor are too close to the cafe. They open at 6am. Not a great a place sleep after a hangover. Try to get a room on the top floor.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Central location to most places
Cons: Ambience could be loud sometimew
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The best staff ever and the food was absolutely delicious too!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable and good location. Staff friendly and food delicious!
Cons: The rooftop lounge was closed early so couldn’t relax after sunset.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff in the restaurant were amazing. You really could see that they do enjoy working there. They joked with each other and were so pleasant with guests. Would love to see that in other hotels as well. Thumb up. Your manager can be very grateful to have you guys. The room was clean and the beds very comfy. Breakfast was good. The only healthy option was fruit salad. A granola with fruits would have been good but that is my personal opinion. Otherwise great food for breakfast. Lovely terrace up there. Should be mentioned more to the guests as we were the only once using it the whole stay. Top location near the beach.
Cons: We had breakfast included and I did order a side order of avocado. Unfortunately they didnt charge me the 50 Cordobas. They did charge me VAT and service charge on top of the 50 Cordoba for just a side order. I am really sorry but you can't do that. If I would have been.there for lunch or dinner OK cause you order drinks etc.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything the room was clean and great bed . Breakfast was amazing 10/10 be happy with stay
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great Value. Super clean and the beds and bedding were sooooo comfortable. Rain shower was great, and air conditioning units were powerful. The location is great, right in the center of town and there is all night security so street parking was safe. Included breakfast was huge! Love that this place is owned and operated by Nicas. At this price point, I would always book here when I want to stay in "downtown" SJDS. Wifi also worked well. Highly recommend.

Pros: I liked that it was outside of the city by a couple kilometers. The view was amazing and the villa itself was spacious and clean.
7.1 Good
Pros: The space was nice and large and the a/c worked well. The staff were all very nice and the pool was nice to hang out at.
Cons: There was NO hot water in the downstairs bathroom or the kitchen! There was hot water in t upstairs shower but it was very dangerous. It went from cold to scolding and back to cold. We were never able to get it to work correctly. Every night the place was crawling with ants and I don’t mean a few ants, I mean big red ants everywhere. The toilet, the walls, the beds. Everywhere.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view was grate! The privacy of the villas was excellent.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: everything great, really good value for your money
Cons: The master room was a bit noisy when it was windy outside, other than that all good
