Pros: The staff at Hotel NaNa Vida were very detailed-oriented and accommodating. During check in, a staff member accompanied us to our room to provide information regarding the room aesthetic and services available. It was a joyful experience to see all of the traditional Oaxaca-made items throughout the room and to be given the opportunity to experience the city's culture straight from the hotel.
Cons: While we did not have time to try the breakfast menu, we were slightly disappointed to find they do not serve lunch or dinner. Luckily, there is a corner store next door for snacks, and you are within 5 minutes walking distance to multiple restaurants.

6.3 Good
Pros: Nice hotel, nice room with great attached bath room.
Cons: 1. Paying more than 200 USD a night, having breakfast included and needing to decide either fruits or orange juice does not match together. Stingy guys are not good hosts 2. On top are included children not provided with breakfast! Children are only allowed to sleep for free, but not to eat anything! Would not imagine that I ever make such an experience. And making this experience in the generally very family-friendly Mexico disappoints me even more. 2. People are arrogant, not respectful and missing basic bahavior skills 3. Noicy Parties till 4 AM in the morning in the night club of the hotel is good if you are a single guy. But it is definitely not family friendly. Good beds and room can only be enjoyed with a silent atmosphere.

Pros: Very friendly staff. Coffee was amazing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Spacious rooms, clean, nicely decorated and close to most attractions in the city.
Cons: Had a room directly on the courtyard - inconsiderate guests were making a lot of noise after the bar had closed in the evenings, even after I had words with them. Some of the staff were a little cool and unhelpful, but also had experience with fantastic staff as well.
5.7 Okay
Cons: shower had very little to now water at some point; water pressure was minimal, if any; hot water takes a good 5 minutes to start working, and then it is impossible to regulate. either you get burnt or freeze.

Pros: the quality of the fruit and juice were excellent and the entree was very tasty and authentic. Excellent coffee
Cons: can't think of anything to improve upon. Very friendly and helpful going beyond what was required and helped store bags before flight even after checking out the day before, so we could experience more of the city in our remaining hours.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our rooms were beautiful. It was close to everything and yet far enough away that it was quiet at night. The courtyard is beautiful and the staff was attentive to all our needs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay at the Casa de Sierra Azul was wonderful. The open air courtyard and rooftop patio are enchanting. Our room, spacious, clean, and well appointed. The staff went out of their way to make our stay relaxing. My wife and I speak very little Spanish and worried about how we’d do communicating with anyone. As it turns out there are a few on staff that speak English and we got along just fine (it was actually a little fun overcoming our language barrier). The walk to the Zocolo is just three short blocks and the streets seem very safe. We covered an average of three miles a day on foot and never encountered a problem in the neighborhoods surrounding Casa Azul. This is the first of three hotels we booked for our 2 week trip to Oaxaca... the other properties will have to be pretty special to top this place. We’ll miss hearing the church bells ringing with our morning coffee.
Cons: Leaving
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is a lovely colonial building with a courtyard in the centre. Our room was spacious with a seating area and a super bathroom accessed through a small courtyard crammed with tropical plants. Located in the middle of the historic area it was easy to explore the city and also the surrounding area

9.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful 17th-century abode. The hotel is only one street removed from the central zocalo and is right within Oaxaca city's central downtown. The staff is incredibly kind and obliging. We made a last-minute decision to go and see Monte Alban at 10:15 in the morning, and a car was arranged to come and take us, there and back, by 10:30! Breakfast was a pleasure with traditional Oaxacan dishes on the menu together with fresh juices, coffee, and fruit! The rooms are classic, clean, and safe with a constant supply of bottled water and other necessities. I would gladly return to Parador San Agustin!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff who are here for all your needs. Great location, close to all attractions. Beautiful historic building with very clean rooms.
Cons: It can be a little bit noisy at times. We had a room with a balcony so we were getting all the street noises. However, it is great to be in the middle of the action and watch the life just go by. Anyway, we were tired after excitements of the day so slept well regardless.

Cons: A little noisy in the morning
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is super accommodating and relaxed, everybody knows who you are and what room are you in. We left the door open by mistake at one point and nothing went missing from our luggage. The breakfast food is great in taste and hearty in portions. The location cannot be beat, it’s two streets away from the main plaza, 5 front Santo Domingo convent. It’s my second time staying there and I’ll go there again on my next visit.
Cons: At night there was a drunky-hobo tupe person walking around yelling stuff. He got picked up by the police but he screamed and yelled for a while before they brought he van to take him in for disorderly conduct. It’s bound to happen in a downtown area and he wasn’t violent or dangerous, just annoying cause it was like midnight and he was yelling loudly. Nothing to do with the hotel, but happened on the same street.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I loved the location and size of the room. The breakfast was nice and the courtyard was appealing to the eye.
Cons: There was no air conditioner, but We had a fantastic stay and the staff was very accommodating.

7.1 Good
Pros: The prices are ok, the young guys at the lobby were very helpful and nice. It’s one block away from Santo Domingo, around 10 mins in taxi from the ADO bus station. The breakfast was good (although the included breakfast was only a continental breakfast, so we needed to upgrade the breakfast and influences the actual price of the “included” breakfast.
Cons: The windows are not sealed, so you can hear the people having breakfast in the next room !!! We could hear the bar tv. Terrible. The breakfast was supposed to be included, once we had already paid for the room and arrived at the hotel, the lady at the front desk said that we wouldn’t be able to have any breakfast but only the continental, coffee, cereal and a plate of fruit: we had to pay more if we wanted a normal breakfast. Just better skip it and eat at wonderful restaurant in the city. The noise coming from the bar and the breakfast tables was extremely loud!!!!!just take some ear plugs or go somewhere else.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great. The staff was friendly. Beds were comfortable and spacious.
Cons: The room had no windows which was a bit inconvenient. The cleanness was ok, but there were some mosquitos in the room. The included breakfast was very basic (cornflakes, fruit, drink).
4.6 Okay
Cons: They gave us voucher for the breakfast but then asked us additional money without inform us what was included and what not. For example, they put some bread on the table even if we do not asked for it and then they told us that since we ate that bread we need to pay it. They are trying to steal money to foreign customers without giving enough information. Avoid this place, the staff is very bad.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good location, large rooms, excellent service.
Cons: Noise in the courtyard can be loud, especially late at night.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely chocolates every night. Fantastic space with modern interior design mixed with colonial architecture. Beautiful!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was delicious (coffee not so much but plenty of options in town). Rooms exceeded expectations. Location was ideal.
Cons: We left town for short excursion to Puerto and its beaches. On early morning ride to airport, my daughter realized she had left her rings in her hotel room bathroom, so we called the hotel to let them know. When we returned to pick up the rings, we were told they never found them. It was obvious though from their response they were being dishonest: either the receptionist we called never relayed the message to the cleaners or the cleaners took or threw away the rings (which were not made of precious metals and only held sentimental value). Our daughter was heartbroken and this misstep on the hotel's part unfortunately dampened our otherwise wonderful experience in Oaxaca.
9.2 Excellent
Cons: The toilet and bedroom are in the same room, spaced feet apart and separated by a curtain.
7.9 Good
Pros: Spacious rooms, Well decorated Nice rooftop
Cons: Beautiful small boutique hotel with spacious rooms and very well located but unfortunately overpriced. We booked it because of the convenient location during Dia de Los Muertos. I understand rooms are scarce in the city center at this time but this is even above the price of a 5* hotel without all the goodies.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The attention to detail, design, location.
Cons: Bathrooms, hospitality could have been better.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff, excellent wifi, nice ambience
Cons: Room wasn’t cleaned until after 3 and we had to wait outside after returning from busy mornings. There weren’t any sitting areas with chairs even though there is a lovely garden and rooftop. Construction noise from putting in a pool on the roof.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: #1 - Staff was great. Very helpful, informative, and available when needed. #2 - 360 panoramic expansive roof top view of historic center of town to the surrounding mountains. Restaurant also provides open vista of Oaxaca sunrise #3 - Charming structure and architecture offers many levels, nooks and spaces for easy conversation and quiet time. #4 - Location. Easy walk to many of the historic centro locations and eateries but very little street noise.
Cons: Not enough oxygen... just kidding. Reminder to low landers - even though Oaxaca is nestled in a valley surrounded by several mountain ranges, it is still a high altitude city.

Pros: The staff was unbelievable--nothing was too much trouble. We felt like pampered royalty. The breakfast was delightful--freshly baked breads, fabulous Oaxaca hot chocolate (or coffee of course) , fresh squeezed orange, or green, or carrot juice), and a gorgeous fruit plate. It felt like staying in a mansion with your own staff. HIGHLY recommend.

Cons: Leaving ;-)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is like a hidden gem, with easy access to all of Oaxaca city. The rooms at this hotel were quite large and very spacious. The rooms were quite well-lit. The hotel has a beautiful courtyard on the ground floor. The restaurant, El Pipe, has a very talented chef and some really good food. There is a lovely small cafe across the street from the hotel, which has some great coffees and chocolate drinks. Most of the staff spoke Spanish and English. All of them were very helpful, friendly and proactive. They let us check in much earlier than the regular check in time, which was such a relief, since we were quite exhausted when we arrived at the hotel. During our check out, the staff at the front desk promptly helped us hail a taxi at no extra cost. The hotel's housekeeping staff was always on their toes, and kept the rooms and common areas spick-and-span.
Cons: I wish there was a coffee machine or kettle in the room for the late night coffee and tea cravings. The restaurant downstairs closed early in the evenings and on Sunday. Although the room itself was quite big, the bathroom was small. I'm not sure why, but we could hear conversations and sounds from the corridor and neighbouring rooms quite clearly, even when they were not very loud.
