Tv noise from adjacent room through entire night made sleep really difficult
Location is great! Close to Schwietzer and in the middle of town. The guest next door had the tv turned up loud all night.
Bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly. The hotel is actually three different buildings spread across a city block. If you're in the first building (near the office) you have to walk outside to the last building if you want to use the hot tub. Breakfast was basically waffles or cereal.
As a family with older kids, we love the in town location. Less shuttling for parents as the kids can easily walk to the beach or walk to town. We also love the breakfast in the morning because it saves us money. The executive King rooms have a twin pullout sofa which was a great option. The rooms are spacious for a hotel room and we loved having the fridge and microwave in the room. The pillowtop bed was very comfortable! All the staff ( front desk, housekeeping, breakfast attendant and maintenance) are very friendly, helpful and timely! The laundry is very convenient for longer stays and the fitness room is clean and a nice amenity. Loved having beach towels for the pool available, too. We have stayed at this hotel in the past and we are never disappointed. We always try to book our stay at La Quinta when in Sandpoint. It's a great value for the price. Because Sandpoint is a town for families, it would be nice if the room configurations were more family friendly, like having a king or queen bed with a bunk bed. Some hotels where we have stayed have "bunk rooms" for families with multiple kids. A small kitchenette for extended stays would be appreciated, too.
Nice place to stay in a good location. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Hot Tub was good. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed. Good sized room. Water pressure caused the shower to not work at first but it eventually worked. Got woke up at 3:00 am by loud people out side our door.
Spectacular scenery. A couple of superb restaurants. It is close to a railroad mainline. No horns but quite a few trains. Tolerable though.
The hotel has a very good restaurant within it so you don't have to go far for decent dinning. Even though it looks like it's had some renovations, it is an older building and still shows it's age.
Great location near the water. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
My room was one of the low priced economy models. I expected a rat's nest but instead found it to be very clean and quite comfortable
It was fine for a short stay. Nothing fancy, but clean and comfy :)
Easy to find Not quite walking distant to downtown Sandpoint ID
Loved the breakfast in the a.m. Staff fun, helpful too.
Our room was spacious and clean as was the entire property. They front desk clerk was very welcoming and friendly. The area is beautiful. Absolutely NOTHING was open around the hotel. No restaurants, cafés, bars, stores, etc. Fortunately we brought leftovers from lunch with us - the drive back to town isn't too far, but it would have been a big hassle as we arrived expecting for at least one restaurant to be available to guests.
The room was clean. The beds were comfortable and even had good pillows. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. We will stay here again. The price was also the best. This was a little concerning when deciding to make the reservation but we were pleasantly surprised with the quality.
The hotel room was very clean. White linens and fluffy pillows! The bed was extremely comfortable with a pillow top mattress. Cable and Wifi was really nice. The hotel is located right at the base of Schweitzer Mountain Resort which, even in the summer, is breathtakingly gorgeous to drive up and walk around. About a 6 minute drive from downtown Sandpoint, so you can get there quick without the downtown prices for hotels. I would definitely stay here again, in fact my brother and sister in law arrived the day after us and stayed there as well from our recommendation. You are in adjoining rooms with a connecting door. Obviously it was locked but the sound traveled well from our neighbors and I could hear the man next door snoring all night. Also, the bathroom has no fan in it, and to be frank, after someone used the bathroom, it was a while before the smell was undetectable. The air conditioner also didn't work too well, it would shut off after about 25 minutes, and then shudder with a loud BANG when it turned back on. Woke me up every time so I ended up just sleeping with it off and being hot. Despite these it was still a great bang for your buck and I will be returning.
Clean friendly and efficient. Walls are a bit thin and people next door kept their television on all night.
For the value and comfort this would be my number one choice for anyone who is looking for an excellent hotel at an excellent price.
Location, jacuzzi, price, staff was courteous, lounge area was comfortable Bathroom could've been a little cleaner, pool/jacuzzi room could have opened earlier/closed later since there is no lifeguard anyway.
It was nice and quiet. Great parking. Rooms were comfortable. Breakfast was good. Close to amenities. Everything was great. Nothing.
we enjoyed haveing the restaurant attached. Staff was great and loved the pool and hot tub. i have nothing bad to say.
Pool area was large, indoors with rooms that had doors at poolside. There was an attached restaurant and a 20% discount was nice to have. The room was clean and large with a sofa and recliner added to a king bed. The desk clerk was very helpful when we needed a micro wave she used her's from the front area. There was not a microwave nor a refrigerator in the room.
