Room was clean
Elevator lights were out, rode in pitch darkness, breakfast advertised but not served, handle on my entrance door nearly fell off, all windows facing public spaces not much privacy or light.
Great location and very large rooms with very comfortable beds! Easy access to the 55 freeway and gas stations and fast food restaurants nearby. All in all a great experience
Not much parking. We had to drive around for a while until we managed to park in a tiny little spot. There should be a smoking area being that it's meant for tourists and people who may smoke. Even if it is somewhere in the parking lot, but to have an ashtray and somewhere to seat

Robbed at the La Quinta
I enjoyed their front desk staff. Juan and the girls working in the back were amazing and offered great customer service and help with my check-ins, answered any questions I had and offered to help me with bags as well as any other request I had. Mind you this is the front desk staff, not management or the back office. I enjoyed their renovated rooms and their location which was close to the freeway and John Wayne Airport.
So I stayed there and the hotel did nothing to help me regarding the guests next door. I made repeated and repeated attempts to call the front desk and nothing was resolved. Finally, I found out that the hotel found the two guests who were making a ruckus in the front of the hotel but did not notify the on-site security or the police. As a result, the two guest made their way back to their friends or whoever room was next door to mine. After repeated calls to the front desk at 4 AM, 4:30 AM, 4:45 AM, and 5:00 AM I had enough. The two guests were outside of my room talking loud and smoking. I then opened the door to ask them to be quiet. Words were exchanged. Next thing I know the male party had a knife in his hands. I instinctively backed up and they made their way into my room. They were obviously high on something and talking jibberish. I then tried to exit the room and was blocked. In the ensuing conversation, the male party took my Wells Fargo debit card from my room desk table which was located by the front door. He moved to the side of the room where the female was at which point I made my way to the balcony and tried to yell out through the courtyard to the front desk. At that point, they exited the room and ran off. Subsequently, I went to make a police report waited for 3 hours at the Santa Ana PD and had to leave because I had appointments. They were notified and I filed a report online in the following days. The day the incident occurred I notified the front desk and Nicole the manager accepted responsibility and told me they would do whatever it took to fix this situation and that was not how the situation should have been handled. She promised to follow up with me and she would review their policy, the calls and the video of the incident. I have not heard from her since after repeated calls and attempted calls. Nothing. At this point, I am going to you for help. I am not looking to get my money back. I don't even want a refund. I think I am being fair and reasonable in asking for a free night at a hotel of my choice. I ask for this because I think it is fair and I don't feel that I should have to pay for the night that was a nightmare considering the fact that I was robbed and the hotel was negligent in their duties and responsibilities in ensuring their guest's safety. I am asking for a room at a hotel of my choice because I feel that I deserve a little more or an upgrade because of the horrible service I received from the hotel, the hotels' negligence in handling this matter at the time, their poor follow-up and the fact that they have been dodging my calls and requests to speak with their management team since the incident occurred. I am not and could not possibly make this up. It occurred, there is proof. A police report and the Orange PD (neighboring city) actually found the guy, cited him, released him and recovered my stolen Wells Fargo card. Here is the kicker for you. The guy took my Wells Fargo card and cashed fraudulent

I could send a picture of the mold on the white comforter but there's no place to add it if I didn't get back to my room so late and needed to be at work by 6 o'clock the next morning I would have left it was that gross there was a hair or two left in the bathroom and the room just smells stale

Room was large and price was less when I paid then when I booked which was a pleasant surprise. For the most part the staff were very kind.
I called the front desk around 9:30 pm asking if he could run some scissors up to my room so I could cut something and he said they are here at the desk, so I said okay I'll just come down then I guess, and he hung up on me. I also noticed in the morning they answer with "Good Morning this is Ashley how can I assist you?" and at night they say "front desk". Thought that was a little odd.

Did not like the peanut butter at the breakfast. Very old and hard. Carpets did not seem like they are thoroughly cleaned or steamed often. No safe for valuables.
After paying online for the room, calling to confirm the reservation and check in time, when I irrived and was told of the $75 deposit neded, had to drive to bank and make a deposit before getting sine rest from a 10hr dtive. Why isn't a deposit of nearly 60% of room cost mentioned prior to?
Easy check in process. A lot of parking. Comes with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker. Comfy bed. Pretty quiet.
Breakfast should be extended since check out is at noon. Walls are a little thin. Could hear someone snoring next door.
the bathroom didn't seem like they had taken their time to clean it. the bathroom sink handled were dirty. we got serviced but they still didn't clean the bathroom.
