Nice, cheap, good self catering facilities. Actually found out that Puerto Santiago area is best for Sun during November, as Americas was overcast most of the time... Maybe due to the prevailing winds at the time... Poor selection of TV channels, but hardly one would spend any time inside when wheather is so good. Gym and pool are of almost no use, but then we didnt need them so mu
Everything was perfect
Sea View Pool very small
view from balcony was really nice, kitchen was fitted with all necessary accessories. while we stayed few things were not cleaned at all (bidet)
A very nice, large, clean apartment with uninterrupted sea views from a secluded balcony and at a good price. The staff were both friendly and helpful.
Cleanliness, friendliness of staff, position
Close to the beach and great views of the sea Small pool but who cares when you are so close to the ocean
The apartment was spacious and cleaned every day. It also had a balcony with sea sight. The outside part of the air-conditioning was on the balcony. Our apartment was also situated directly above the airco units of the diningroom. All those airco units made pretty much noise and gave off pretty much heat when sitting on the balcony.
Excellent hotel! The site magnificent, huge number in which all that was necessary. A breakfast and a supper remarkable - it is various and it is tasty. Separate thanks the personnel - are sympathetic and friendly! Absence of the parking, but for 10 days always there were places nearby on quay.
Location beautiful sea view from 7th floor, sunsets, rooms cleaned every day, not hassled on streets. Happy with everything.
Hotel was very clean , well maintained and decorated . Food was good with a lot options. Room was clean and big . The food wasn't so suitble for Kosher eating people.
Overall satisfied. The hotel is close to the beach. The pool area is good for the younger kids. The all-inclusive food is OK.
The Greenery was fantastic. the pools are nice. The Breakfast was good The beds! They roll all around and are very uncomfortable. staff are a little disorganized but do their best.
Near the beach and the center of Santiago. Pools great and staff are friendly but many times the front desk had a long line-up. The beds are not comfortable and there is no coffee/tea in the rooms.
Nice pools but very cold, the kids loved them though. Accross the hotel an great Italian restaurant Suaco! We just used the pools and the room. We enjoyed eating out and the day trips. Good little supermarket around the corner. Typical All Inclusive hotel with mainly Brits and Germans, some Dutch or Scandinavian. We did not eat at the hotel. Rooms were very sober and not clean. Inventory not complete but after asking we got everything. Kids club is poor. Poor entertainment. Noisy bar. Although not allowed by the hotel staff, all sun beds were taken in the morning by laying towels on them. Cockroaches in the garden, not in the room. 10 minutes walk to the beach. Building in front of hotel blocks most of the ocean view. Rooms were not cleaned on two days (they forgot).
Very friendly good choice of food big complex but nicely spread out Gym was very basic and if I stayed there for a month I would need to work out as the food was very good
the view from the balcony of the room was really nice. hotel is close of the main actractions (Los Gigantos,Las Americas...), 200mt to Playa De Arena. The staff from the bar wasn't polite.
Location, having a kitchenette in the flat, staff were nice. Breakfast was made using very cheap ingredients. Coffee and tea were just awful. Also, rooms are very noisy.
Bedroom windows overlooking the farm, chickens and roosters dogs interfere with sleep.
Nice surroundings. Nice pools. We didn't use other facilities. They didn't receive the request for a baby-cot from the Bookings website. They solved this within minutes. Unfortunately it smelled terribly (smoke).
The hotel was well run and the rooms a good size. The swimming pools were very cold, even the heated ones. The pull out bed very uncomfortable. The location was not the best. The booking received from Booking.com was for only 2 people when we had booked 4.
It was only for one night.
Price was the only good thing but don't be fooled - you get less than you pay for here. False advertising. No airport shuttle, no free parking, no safety deposit box. Clientele is all families, really young couple looking for bargain and lots of skinhead/football types hanging team logos from balcony. Stay elsewhere. Pay more and have a nice holiday. It's also too far from beach and town center. Plus the beds are small and very uncomfortable.
Excellent location, views, standard of accommodation and service. We were upgraded and that only added to the enjoyment of the stay.
The more traditional location-close to Los Gigantes. Excellent facilities.Very accommodating staff. Can be a little noisy with the early arrival of cleaning staff. Depends on room location.
very comfortable and private fab app top floor looking out over the sea and mountains to the side even though the app was fab we only got the sun there in the afternoon on the balcony and the nearest beach was closed as some rocks had fallen there. if i knew this before hand i may not have gone there, but i believe that this is going to be rectified shortly othere wise all well
Good appartment, clean, nice swimming pool (not salt), not too touristic, rental car recommended since it is not close to most tourist attractions. Beds are rather hard.
The noise from the road on the front block was, at times, overpowering. Buses stopping for long perios outside the hotel made a peaceful relax on the room's verandah inpossible.
We liked the whole design with its "cottage-style" accommodation (which included kitchenette cupboard with microwave, refrigerator etc); the wonderful setting with mountains and sea as a backdrop; the pool and the landscaping; the herb garden and the boules area; the buffet breakfasts and splendid dinners and the unpretentious friendly ambiance created by an enthusiastic, well-chosen team of staff.
The location of the hotel was very peaceful and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. It's a good hotel for people who want a bit of peace and quet and enjoy hiking and nature. The hotel was filled with only German (+40) tourists which was a bit weird but on the other hand they were very quiet and calm so it didn't really bother us.
nice suites/ rooms in a form of charming houses, spa - uncrowded after 7pm, relaxing place, good point for hiking, excellent dinner it is isolated, no cafes around and places to go out, a car needed (better a small one since streets are narrow and mountains to go through)
Very fine apartment, clean, new, with kitchenette and nice private sitting area outdoors.
quiet, superb suite with seaview, safe, well trained personnel decoration and illumination of the terrace restaurant is poor, yellowish light from sort of street lamps project a diffuse light, you can hardly see what you are eating - could do better for a hotel of theis category
The pool was lovely and having a kitchenette a full size fridge were great. We had a suite but didn't need it as the rooms were big. Breakfast was excellent. It was good to be close to the Teno mountains and the hotel had a free map with suggested walks. The hotel was run for Germans who liked walking and we were the only non German residents. Not a problem for us but the hotel was not very spanish.

My husband and I stayed just one night at Hotel Luz Del Mar (we were on holiday in the south of the island) but found the staff to be both friendly and extremely helpful to the extent that the beauty therapist stayed after her evening shift to give me a foot massage on what was a very painful heel. The room was spotless and the swimming pool divine after a very hot day. We enjoyed the a la carte menu in the dining room.
the hotel is pleasant and friendly and the food is very good value for money
Very nice. Clean rooms, good location, close to the beach, friendly and very helpful staff. Good food. Excellent value for money, can only recommend:)
hotel was very clean, food very good .not a lot to do,but i was only there for the weekend! piano bar has no atmosphere, the entertainment was ok! But to relax it was nice and quiet, no
good service, relaxed environment no
The young man in charge (I think) of your entertainments was extremely helpful and pleasant, especially the first day when my husband was unwell and I needed some lunch on my own but was not on full board. The junior suite was very spacious and pleasant. The smell in the bathroom, the smell of food in the reception area, the smell of drains just outside the hotel and the oppressive warmth of the dining-room.
The cleanliness and comfort. The TV reception was not good and there was only English news channel.
Conditioners in the room... Terrible smell in corridor biside the reustarant.
The hotel makes an excellent base from which to tour the island by car, potter round the resort of Puerto Santiago, take a trip from the marina at Los Gigantes or enjoy swimming from the black beach at La Arena. The food is interesting and plentiful and the staff friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the free air conditioning makes sleeping a lot more comfortable when the temperature is 32+ degrees C. All the single beds were rather too firm for our liking and the sofa beds/settees are old, broken and really do need replacing.
