Pros: Friendly staff, room was comfortable but shower head above bath was poor and needed renewing. Bath panel had been pushed in so made bathroom look untidy. Would stay again.
Cons: Shower.
7.0 Good
Pros: Easy to drive location. Great time playing billiards and have beers while storm was hitting hard ouside.
Cons: Lunch was really bad. Expect hamburger with fries to be weird minced meat patty from the freezer and fries to be microwaved potato chips and also on the plate was cooked rice for some reason. If you want to eat, go to the pizzeria close by (for real).

9.0 Excellent
Pros: the bed was super comfy, the kind staff and a really pet friendly hotel, my yorkshire had the most amazing time sniffing around every little corner.
Cons: the breakfast was the same menu through our stay, so a little variety would be nice.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Staff were friendly and in particular the restaurant staff were helpful and efficient
Cons: Lack of guest control of the air conditioning in the room so room too cold for me. During a stormy night the wind made the windows howl and rain filled the runners. The noise was very loud at times so not much sleep
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Just need a bit more variety on the menu for longer staying guests...but we like the spirit and vibe of the hotel and will certainly return...... these are difficult times with the virus but the staff made a big effort and with a lot of smiles and understanding...
Cons: bathroom is too cold so we have to put towels on the floor

Simple, but very clean rooms with basically everything you really need. Easy parking right in front of the hotel. Safe and quiet neighborhood, supermarkets within walking distance. Town center also in walking distance. Relaxed town without the touristy crowds (at least at off season). Good breakfast!
Cons: probably not suitable for a longer stay, but perfect location on your way down south
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel. We were there off season so couldnt use the pool and there were no spa services. The breakfast was typical for this kind of property. I think the property was in the process of updating the rooms. There were restaurants within walking distance and several a short drive away.

4.6 Okay
Pros: The room was clean. There were some games that you could play.
Cons: The welcoming was very short and overall the staff was not interested in talking to their guest. The breakfast was just regular - nothing special. You would ask for fill up the food. This place is nothing for light sleeper - very noisy. Overall not worth the money, would not stay here again.

5.0 Okay
Pros: The bed was comfortable, it was clean.
Cons: The guy who was supposed to be in reception made us wait for 40 mins to be checked in, in pitch blackness in our car outside the reception. We were half an hour early before the reception was supposed to shut. We were asked to call and hour before we arrived, which we did, to confirm the time we would be there. When he eventually turned up he behaved like a petulant teenage even though he had made us wait for quite a long time at the reception with no apology or acknowledgment of him being very late, nothing just extremely rude and obnoxious. Didn’t even explain anything about our stay or any information about the accommodation. Wasn’t the greatest of starts to the stay. If you think you’ll be using the outdoor pool (which is all available all year) you probably won’t because it’s freezing! Bar was closed. If you want some privacy or to get away from it all, this is not the place to go, your neighbours are literally in speaking distance and you can see them over the walk way. If you’re in the eco pod then you’ll be over looked by the cabins above and your neighbours who are a few meters away, with nothing in between them. I thought the cabins are similar to euro camp cabins that if you take your own bedding it would be a similar experience at half the price. I’ve been to many glamping experiences and this Isn’t a memorable one. There are far better out there, unfortunately this isn’t a good example of an ‘experience’ I’d like to revisit.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great place for a weekend away. Really enjoyed the experience and being in contact with nature. The dome was clean, comfortable and warm.
Cons: We didn’t have amenities for shower as they run out of stock. Breakfast could be better giving the price.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy rooms, unique experience, sky full of stars, fresh air, nice relax area. Very nice place for a few days. Tranquil and peaceful. There were no electric kettle but the team sorted out the problem quickly.
Cons: It was cold in the room during the first night. But then i warmed up the room with air conditioner.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The surroundings of Alecrim Glamping are just stunning, our wooden house even had sea view. The houses are a bit on the smaller side, but then again it is glamping and you will enjoy the cosiness and the fireplace in the living room a lot. The swimming pool, natural pool and relaxation area is very nice. We enjoyed a cocktail and they have lovely pizzas at the bar. Staff is very helpful and friendly, great Alentejo style hospitality!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location and facilities. Will return! Will recommend to others.
Cons: It was difficult to get the heater working fully but eventually we managed.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing calmness surrounding the property, waking up to those views was priceless. Perfect for a zen weekend, two nights is ideal.
Cons: I was surprised they wouldn’t allow pets even if well behaved. Possibly something to consider. The microwave and shower had some issues but manageable.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Charming , beautiful property and location , great food , friendly service .
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is amazing, the owner has a great taste and the house interiors are very unique, relaxing and well-balance. The pieces of art and collection of objects make a difference. You can walk around and feel in your own house. Grab a book and read, maybe nap, infront of the chimney or have a walk across the stables and check on the animals. Finally, the surroundings are beautiful and the location, although quiet and isolation, is 20mim away from beautiful beaches and towns to visit.
Cons: Few options for dinner. The menu is closed and sometimes we couldn't choose between fish or meat or between vegan or non-vegan options. The bathrooms of the rooms seem to be off with the rest of the house decor and style. Very basic.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property with so many attractive amenities. The kitchen/dining area and all the sitting areas are fantastic. Our deluxe suite was fabulous. Breakfast and dinner were wonderful. Staff was very nice and incredibly helpful. We wanted to stay longer!
Cons: We liked everything!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: I was on a road trip with my partner and stayed for one night only while passing through cercal. The hotel is definitely not reachable if you do not have a car to take you through the forest where the hotel is located. The location is amazing for relaxation and disconnection. It was January and the hotel was well equipped for us to stay warm and cozy. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The breakfast was warmly and nicely presented. The variety of food was good. We couldn't use much of the facilities provided considering our short stay but we shall surely come back for a longer stay!
Cons: The only disappointing is that the hotel was surrounded by orange trees and they were all blooming but coming to the breakfast and they wouldn't serve fresh Orange Juice! Not much variety of fruits in the breakfast too.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was the cosiest and loveliest place, the decor is sublime, it had super nice touches everywhere you look. The bed was very comfy, the room was very pleasant, the breakfast was delicious, the various living rooms were just dreamy, we absolutely loved it and will come back for sure!
Cons: Nothing!

7.5 Good
Pros: Nice location in the middle of cork trees area, it’s nice to walk there around. Super friendly and professional staff who helped us a lot in any question! Quite good selection of necessary facilities. It’s possible to order dinner to the room from local restaurant for moderate price. Breakfast was also very good!
Cons: The place overall is quite missing coziness and comfort: beds could be more comfortable, a bed in second room was put parallel to a wall without a bed board and pillow slipped on the floor the whole night and therefore one of us slept bad. Isolation also could be a bit better. Also it’s missing a lot outside sitting area next to the villa, with some chairs and table. Swimming pool was quite cold. The potential of the complex is big, but in could provide more coziness for the price asked.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice location with beautiful surroundings with corc oacks, the villa is warm with large rooms. Breakfast is awesome, everything is good and tasty. The spa is also great. Very friendly and professional staff.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It's an amazing place to stay and to rest. The houses are spacious and are really we'll equipped. Also the breakfast is awesome everything is good and tasty and the staff is really nice and friendly. Totally recommend to anyone who is looking for piece of mind.
Cons: There are insufficient chairs and tables during breakfast (had to wait 20 min), when all houses are occupied, which is not acceptable consider the type of place it is.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is amazing. A beautiful quiet location with cork oaks garden straight from the resort. Villa was extremely cosy and warm. Everyone in the hotel is very polite and willing to help. Breakfast is really delicious and with a personal touch. Our family enjoyed the stay very much. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

7.9 Good
Pros: Definitely a locals place-When I first walked in there were a bunch of locals in the bar drinking beer and watching football. Staff is friendly and the restaurant downstairs serves good food. I’d stay here again if I was in the area. Just a reminder you need to ask at the bar for bed reservations!
Cons: Beds were a bit on the stiff side- but for 30 euros a night I can’t complain.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff are very nice. They are beautiful.
Cons: The beds
5.4 Okay
Pros: Very clean. People kind.
Cons: Though it was a Wednesday, we couldn’t sleep until 2:30 am because of the noise people were doing at café under the residence. The beds were small for people over 174cm tall...

9.6 Excellent
Pros: I really enjoyed staying there. Thank you a lot!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly host. Spacious rooms. Quiet except for barking dogs.
Cons: As with most places in Portugal, rooms were too cold even with space heaters.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Confortable bed, clean, you have all you need.
4.6 Okay
Pros: The house is large and the place is very good.
Cons: I booked the house to 5 people. There weren't enough towels to all and the hostess was very rude, but so rude that we had to anticipated our check out because we couldn't stand her anymore, even everything was paid. There isn't barbecue grill as said and there isn't any hair dryer. You don't have privacy because the hostess and the neighbors are all time controlling what you do. I don't recommend you stay in this place with pets too, because the hostess will complain with you.

Casa de Santiago - Santiago do Cacém - Building

4.2 Okay
Pros: The garden and pool was nice.
Cons: The house was super interesting but this was not what I expected given the ratings. We stayed in the loft which was super spacious but it felt damp. The brick coves were covered in spider webs and spiders so if spiders make you uneasy not great. The church is directly behind the house which is very pretty but the bells go all night about every 15-30 mins followed by a chorus of howling dogs which kept us up. The pool and garden was really nice but I think the place needs a bit more looking after. We would have appreciated some information on what to do and where to go, information in the room would have been enough. We met the owner on the last day who is super nice and gave us tips then but the colleague who looked after us before didn't speak any english so was hard to communicate. All in all sweet place but I wouldn't go back and it was far too expensive for what it was.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Historical, beautiful, and peaceful, very welcoming host - our stay was sadly too short. We had the most wonderful bedroom
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The surroundings are amazing if you appreciate the history of the house. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast was varied and plentiful. The house was warm (despite the cool February nights).
Cons: Things which were negative were of minor importance - like the squeaky bedroom door, or the loose bathroom handle. Perhaps you can expect something like that when living in a house with such an impressive history.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Historical house, perfectly kept, elegant, cosy, fully furnished with authentic furniture and tools which belonged to the owners'family. We were absolutely impressed by the noble atmosphere of the house and by the owner's friendly and professional welcome. Forthermore the owner gave us very useful information and suggestions about the surrounding area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is very well located, next to the castle. It is very welcoming and everyone goes out of their way to make visitors feel at home, always attentive to their needs. The breakfast is excellent and homemade.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location in historic neighborhood of Santiago, and very well remodeled with attention to every single small detail. It has several common areas that are exceptionally preserved that will make you feel at home. Also, Sr. Francisco was a great host who told us the story of the his family house that he converted in such a cozy boutique hotel with only seven rooms. Unique experience!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is an amazing property. The service is incredible. We were greeted with a freshly baked baba bread and some water. They parked our car and brought in our suitcases. The house is amazing and so is the gardens. The owner made us a reservation for dinner and when we got back they even turned down the bed for us. The breakfast was delicious . This place is worth a detour. They even gave us a complimentary upgrade. Everything was just amazing. Thank you !

Pros: Good check in, friendly receptionist. Simple light, airy room. Comfortable and warm. Nice big balcony for catching the late afternoon sun.
Cons: Although it is a big building we found it difficult to find, there is a small sign on the door which couldn't be seen from the street. The only other thing wrong was the lack of hot water in the shower and sink in the morning. We tried from 7am until we left at 9am but there was only cold water. A feeble apology from the receptionist when we left but no explanation.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Super clean, quiet and Cute! Loved the decor and views from the top story. Nice people, close to the Rota Vincentina, shops and restaurants.
Cons: There was a green light above the door...to show the exit in case of fire?! It was Way too bright! I kept thinking it was morning. No hot water at first, but then they solved that! Thank you

Pros: The staff were very nice and helpful. The location was within 5 minutes of walking to a great little cafe and a supermarket
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I cannot say this loud enough-this was the best value for such a nice facility and room. Located right on the Rota Vicentina, right close to city center, great staff. Too good to be true and lucky to have stayed there.
Cons: Minor detail, might want to make a key drop or mail slot to return the key when leaving early. Snuck mine under the door, didn't want to leave door unlocked.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean & neat new hotel. Friendly & service minded staff. No frills, but all we were needing for a good night’s sleep. Excellent value for money. Well located on the Rota Vicentina.

Cons: Furnishings still lacking at reception.

Pros: This is a fantastic hotel, really based on love of nature. Location is across some parts of the town on a hill with unbelievable views. The food at the restaurant was Michelin-star quality. Would have loved to stay longer.
Cons: There is really nothing to complain about!

7.5 Good
Pros: Nice location in the middle of cork trees area, it’s nice to walk there around.
Cons: nothing

Pros: Not exactly beautiful from the outside (big concrete block), but really good anyway! Very nice and friendly staff with excellent English skills. Easy check-in.
Cons: The coffee and juice at breakfast.
