Pros: Kindness and professionalism of staff. taste of decoration, comfort of the room and house made breakfast.
Pros: Very helpful staff, good food, lovely location on the outskirts of the village.
Pros: We arrived after a long hike from Odemira at an oasis of peace and luxury. Beautiful room with a small terrace and looks over the gardens of Sao Luis. The staff were friendly and helpful (muito obrigado mais uma vez, Ana!). Dinner at the hotel looked delicious (we ate at the "Pinguim" in the village). We would have loved to stay longer.
Pros: This property is located in beautiful surroundings with unobstructed views of the hills. The property itself is stunning and so was our big room with high ceilings and lots of natural light. Bed very big and comfortable. They make you feel welcome and attended to all our needs. We had dinner there and this was delicious, everything prepared fresh. They had a secure place to store our mountain bikes which was good because we were cycling ruta Vincentina. Unfortunately we didn't have time to use the pool but enjoyed their nice big terrace overlooking the pool. Great breakfast too. Would definitely stay here again.
Cons: There is absolutely nothing we didn't like.
Pros: The location is very good, good accessibility and close to town. Breakfast wasn't abundant, but with enough selection. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We were received with fresh lemonade an home made cookies and given information about places to eat and visit. My husband was feeling under the weather and they went out of their way to make sure our stay was still very pleasant.
Pros: The views were stunning and the location really tranquil - applicable to Naturarte Rio where we stayed
Cons: Even though you don't come to a place like this to keep in touch with civilisation, good wi-fi is a must these days and it was a tad poor - applicable to Naturarte Rio where we stayed
Pros: Just perfect! Very quiet, darkened room, very peaceful environment
Pros: Just an amazing place! Beautiful, relaxing and allowed us to really get to know the area. We will come back!
The Corte Nova da Preguiça offers rooms in the middle of the tranquil surroundings of Alentejo’s Natural Park. It has an outdoor salted pool with grassy sunbathing areas, sun beds and a terrace. Rooms come with a view of the surrounding landscape and include high ceilings with wooden beams and a fan. The bedroom has a flat-screen TV and en-suite bathroom with a shower. Guests can enjoy a drink in the bar or sample the locally inspired regional cuisine in the Corte Novas’ restaurant. There is also a charming terrace with bistro-style tables overlooking the pool and gardens. On-site activities include horse riding, and hiking. Vila Nova de Milfontes Beach and the Atlantic Ocean are a 20-minute drive away. Portimao Airport is a 1.5-hour drive away by car. Free parking is available.
Pros: The location is good, the ocean is like 15 minutes drive. The owner was lovely and helpful and the breakfast was great:) I can recommend the Corte Nova da Preguica.
Pros: Jose is a fabolous host!
Pros: Amazing experience. The place is wonderful and the host (Ze) is quite friendly and helpful in telling you where to go. Definitively this is a place that supersedes your expectations at first glance - and never disappoints :)
Pros: Fantastic place, amazing breakfast, great room and facilities, beautiful pool. Jose is one of the best host ever met. We Would definitely stay again - highly recommend!
Pros: The energy of the spot
Cons: The facilities list, bar, restaurant, heating and SUPERB breakfast. It didn't have the first two, the heating was a tiny little plug in radiator that was way to small to heat the room, and breakfast was bread, jam, cheese and ham, hardly SUPERB. Add this to the mud tracks which really needed a 4x4 to get down to get to the place, and not a very pleasant experience. Also no facility for taking cards.
Pros: Great host, no worries, great music selection, nice room and all clean. If you need a break and like to be lazy. This is the place to visit.
Pros: Breakfast was always excellent, the pool was really nice and relaxing, the bedroom was neat and tidy every day, the bathroom all clean and above all the owner Mr. Zé was always on top of things. He’s a really really nice person and host, always caring for his guests.
Cons: If the weather is colder the bathroom might become less cozy.
Pros: Great location, near the villages São Luis and Cercal. 20 minute drive from beautiful beaches and fish restaurants. Clean and comfortable rooms.
Cons: Not a lot of beds/seats around swimming pool
With a stay at Quinta da Samoqueirinha in Odemira, you'll be near the beach, within a 10-minute drive of Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park and Church of Sao Luis. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The place is lovely and ideal to relax. The apartment was also very clean and spacious and the kitchen was fully equipped. The staff was very nice and helpful.
Cons: To check-in and check-out guests have to drive to the group's main reception or to one of the group's hotels, depending on time of the day. I had to check-out early in the morning, and adding an extra 20 minutes to my trip to drive to another hotel was not very convenient. The hotel should think about providing an easier way to check/in and check out, e.g. for checkout it would be more convenient to leave the keys in a designated place at the Quinta, instead of having to deliver them somewhere else.
Cons: The bed was quite small in length and wide, and my first shower didn’t had hot water. Probably because everyone was taking shower at the same time.
Pros: Everything. The breakfast was amazing.
Cons: I've got nothing to say that i did not like.
Pros: It was great!!! Breakfast is very good and includes really everything!!!! Rooms really tidy and spacious. The animals on the farm were so lovely (especially for our 3 year old son). The horse riding was also great! Please go and stay there - its a lovely experience!!!
Cons: Nothing to complain about
Pros: The animal are free and we can pet them.
Cons: The check-in/check-out are at 8km from the hotel.
Pros: Beautiful property and farm! Great for adventurous types, feels like a real family home in nature. Warm and friendly staff and friendly animals. You can tell the staff really care for the animals here.
Cons: Was not a problem for us, but the drive to the property is on a dirt road.
Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The surrounding country is beautiful and it is a tranquil and relaxed setting. The beds are very comfy and we opted to have dinner included which was traditional Portuguese food and very delicious. I would recommend this venue for a family wanting a relaxing break.
Cons: All very good
Cons: - check in 15 minutes drive from accomodation - no reception - much too expensive -
Pros: The animal feeding was great, as were the pool and garden
Cons: The beds were uncomfortable and the room was clean but smelly (coming from the bathroom)
Pros: Very nice remote site with a wonderful garden landscape, free running peacocks, good breakfast.
Cons: No on-site (several km distance) and very bureaucratic check-in procedure. We were 90 min too early and they told us room is ready, but asked for another 20 Euro early check-in fee. Ridiculous!
Located in S.Luís, completely renovated our accommodation offers high-quality rooms with private bathroom, TV, air conditioning and also has common area. Experience the typical Alentejo village of San Luis which is situated in the most beautiful areas of the Municipality of Odemira, is just 12 Km from the beaches of Alentejo coast and 9 km from the Mira River, in contact with nature and close to the sea.
Pros: The owner is very helpful, pleasant and communicative, and that added to our stay a lot. Room was super clean and pleasant. It was very quiet and comfortable to sleep. Bathrooms - excellent clean, perhaps a bit small, but I prefer clean than big, so for me was perfect. It is necessary to have a car to get to the beach or touristic attractions, but all in all it was excellent. Coffe place Gabriela provides a great coffee for breakfast:)
Pros: Host was incredibly helpful.
Cons: The room was a bit damp. That is most likely just the way things are in the early spring humidity.
Pros: The bathroom was large and lovely.
Cons: The host didn't explain any of the lovely features in our apartment - heat pump and induction stove.
Pros: Clean and central, good recommendation for dinner.
Cons: Tiniest shower and bathroom.
Pros: Nice place on the edge of the old village right on the Rota Vicentia. Very clean with plenty of hot water and good wifi. A small eating area is provided for the use of all guests which has a fridge, microwave, kettle, cups/saucers and some cutlery.
Cons: Nothing not to like really. A place to clean the provided cups etc after use would be nice.
Pros: The room was spacious, spotlessly clean and well-equipped. On our arrival, our host gave us a map and marked on the locations of shops and restaurants- a simple act but the first time it's happened in 10 days of walking the Rota Vicentina.
Pros: We were the only people in the house, so extremely quiet. I liked that tea was available to make as well as a refrigerator, although we didn't use it. Tiny bathroom, but that's OK. Excellent heater for a slightly cool night. We washed our clothes (we're walkers on the Rota Vicentina) and hung them on a line...with clothes pins provided. Close to restaurants and a cafe -- which helped us to get on our way relatively early.
Pros: Right on the Rota Vicentina so a great spot for an overnight stay if you’re doing the walk.
Pros: It’s right at the start of the St Luis > Odemira route, so fantastic location. Room was large and very clean, as was the bathroom. They even had a hairdryer! Also had a laundry line out to hang your washing, and amazingly it was facing the fun. Bonus!
Cons: Pillows were rock hard, but c’est la vie. Also, they had one of those awful plugin things which I had to unplug, as the chemical smell was too strong. Otherwise, no issues and would recommend it.
Pros: Very welcoming and clean. Great location right on the Rota Vicentina.
