The staff, especially Kelly in the morning was very helpful and accomodating The noise!! Very thin walls made for a very noisy time. I could hear voices thru the vent in the bathroom and my room on the 1st floor ( #11 ) was above the restaurant which plays Latin beat music till 9PM. Bring your earplugs!
Very personal service. We stay at this property every year when visiting our children in Scituate and the staff remember us every time.
Lady at the front desk gave us complimentary breakfast because a sliding door in the room didn't work well. I was charged $10 to my cred card after checking out. Not sure why. I was not made aware of what the charge was for at the time of check out or even anytime after. Haven't had time to call and ask why. My only guess is maybe a late check out fee? If so, check out is at 11am and we checked out at 11:03. So if that's the reason for the charge, its a pretty petty one.
Hotel room looks tired.
Easy passenger ferries over to the wharf in Boston.
Everyone was so polite and helpful! Our fireplace never worked.
Location Breakfast was not included for the high price of the room.
The staff were wonderful. Hotel was in a great location and fit all our needs. Wonderful stay.... Pool was too cloudy...Everything else was fantastic..
Enjoyed gas fireplace in the room, fridge and microwave, and excellent location.
I tried NBR out on one occasion, liked it, and then booked it again for a week later. I have since then recommended it to friends. The room is better than all the chain hotels for travelers, and there are facilities like the pool, which my wife likes for exercise. Hull is viewed as a bit distant from Boston but NBR is on the right side to make access to Boston very easy, about a 12 minute car ride from the railway station in Hingham. The restaurant was very good and its prices were very fair - entrees under $20. Parking is very tight, and the rooms can be a bit noisy due to the bars on the street next to the hotel. Those are minor things though.
**Not about this resort but about this form** Your second question, "While traveling, you were a: " does not include all situations including my own which is 2 business guys. I use Kayak to get apples to apples comparisons on locations. This location ends up charging you money after the fact that changes the upfront value.
The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, the service was friendly, the free breakfast buffet was stellar. Only complaint is that I had a little trouble finding the hotel within the plaza it's located in (the area is packed with restaurants and shops)
We had 6 Rooms for family funeral and stayed 4 days. The staff were very attentive, the rooms are large, modern and clean. The location was perfect for us, there are many dinning options available attached to Hotel, Legal Seafood, Starbucks, 5 Guys Mexican, there's a gym and pool with jacuzzi, that we all took advantage of. they also have a shuttle to mall across the street. I would highly recommend staying here.
comfortable room, great breakfast, dog friendly, warm staff I can't think of anything
The location is good with speedy service to the airport. The hotel restaurant was inexpensive and delicious with an outside deck. That was wonderful! The walls are thinking so you can hear neighbors clearly.
It was clean and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was good but the same as most other hotels. Beds were not very comfortable. The shower had weak water pressure and was very difficult to get to a temperature between too hot and too cold.
Friendly, helpful staff, comfortable bed, food was tasty (both breakfast & restaurant) In an ideal world we would have had a pool/hot tub and been located a few blocks closer to the train station. Minor negatives really only noticed because everything else was so great.
Good location, friendly staff. Room was dated, switches were falling out of their holders
Waterfront room Accessibility and noise from other people and staff at all hours of the night.
Waited an hour for airport pickup when told it was 20 min, no courtesy call. I checked 45 min in, and no warning about how much longer it would be or what the delay was. Heater wouldn't turn on, and I had a cold. One bed had a comforter, the other one of those faux wool blankets - had to put then both on one bed to stay warm. Weird square pillows, like a couch throw pillow rather than standard bed pillows. Terrible water pressure, not very warm shower. One of the outlets didn't work, for charging my phone. Loud - very thin walls.
Terrible cigarret smoke stench all throughout the hallways which seeped into our room. Need to have a better handle on guests it was not inconspicuous at all it was blatant and very intrusive. Room was like a jail cell maybe 10 x10 for $100 per night.
Beyond the expensive Park and Fly part of my experience, the rooms were clean, aesthetically pleasing, quiet. I didn't try the breakfast. Parking was fine, our car wasn't broken into or anything. CJ the shuttle driver is a gem. Overall, however, I absolutely would NOT pay the heightened fee to stay at this hotel, and wish they had been more helpful and clear. I chose to stay here because I was flying out of Logan for a trip for a week. I live in Vermont, so driving down to Boston to catch a 7am flight is a stretch, so I looked into either parking at the airport or a nearby hotel that would allow me to park my car, stay the night before my flight, and leave my car there during my trip. The Best Western Adams Inn appeared as though it was a hotel that would allow me to park my car, stay, and take a shuttle to the airport. The website was a little vague about the "Park and Fly" option- I wasn't able to discern whether I could stay for one night and leave my car for a whole week. I called the hotel and spoke with a male employee at the front desk, who was very abrupt and unhelpful. I asked about the Park and Fly option and if I could just pay for one night and then keep my car there for an entire week, and if it was the price I was seeing online- he said "That's what park and fly means." A little annoyed but feeling assured, I booked it. When I arrived at the hotel, I was informed that if I wanted my reservation to be Park and Fly, I would have to pay the "Park and Fly" rate- that is, not the $129 that I had booked through Kayak and double-checked with the front desk, but rather $260. Stunned, my boyfriend and I agreed to pay, because we had no other options. It was pretty clear that the "Park and Fly" rate wasn't elucidated on the website for a reason. I would not have paid $260 to stay here. I would have paid the $120 to park at Logan for the week.
I can't find anything negative about our stay. The bar/restaurant inside the hotel was real nice, it meant we didn't have to go find food elsewhere. Room was well appointed, quiet. Furnishings were relatively new. Water pressure was great. No problems with parking. Staff was friendly and patient. All around good place!
The room was perfectly quiet. The restaurant was nice, food and service were good. The airport shuttle is very handy. Nothing. Great job.
Desk staff are friendly and attentive. Chris has been on duty on both of our visits, and I appreciate that he remembered us on our second visit. The suite is very roomy and comfortable. The regular room was also nice, and the rooms are very clean. We didn't like being so close to the restaurant and bar in room 108. Next time we need to let the desk staff know.
Room was small but comfortable but I was right next to the laundry room so I could hear the machines going through the night. Also a lot of the guests' children were running around and loud throughout the night. Other than that it was an okay stay.
Extremely friendly, very helpful staff. Everyone we encountered Beds were just a bit uncomfortable.. But that's our taste. Pillow top mattress was s little too soft as we're pillows. Again, just our upreferences. We did not have a car, but you would have to pay for parking if you did. Not ideal, but seemed to be the theme around town.
Location was really good. Paid $179 per night and the hotel was clean but they def had the online prepaid rooms booked in the "economy" rooms. The staff was very friendly and super accommodating Walls are paper thin! I heard the couple in an adjoining room slam a door at 4:45am and they fought for HOURS. I could hear them like they were in my room. I was alone with two kids so I didn't want to call down and aggravate the situation more so I went down in the am. Luckily they checked out and the manager offered us dinner or transportation to the city and also advised she'd make sure the next neighbor was quiet. It wasn't their fault AT ALL. They can't control how guests behave or misbehave but she was truly as accommodating and apologetic as she could be. I might consider staying there again if I requested quiet neighbors (which is a super late check in) or if I brought ear plugs. Excluding that incident, the hotel was clean and manager and staff were excellent.
Beds Room was not made up one day
Very friendly staff. Nice, clean rooms. Free shuttle to train into Boston.
The hotel was easy to find, check in was quick, and our room was in excellent condition. Coming from the other side of Boston we had to go through some heavily congested areas, but this is not the hotel's issue, though it would affect us choosing it in the future.
Convenient location , and lots of choices for the breakfast . Nothing fancy , but a lot of choices for the breakfast . The gym and pool were a nice addition as well . I would have liked to see more selection of snacks for purchase . At least offer some healthier options .
Location and friendly staff. It was clean and comfortable. The gym has all the basics, the pool and Jacuzzi were clean and never crowded. The have an area to sit and relax. This area has comfortable seating and a tv. It was close to the main town, there is a large mall with restaurants. Short drive to the Blue Hills and only 25 minutes from Boston. I had a very relaxing experience and look forwarded to returning. Pillows were too soft.
rooms very nice, shuttle service to metro very much appreciated The breakfast is not very good and twice there we're a lot of things missing, toaster not working well. the man working in the breakfast area seemed overwelmed
only there overnight...but it was directly in the middle of the two areas we were visiting, which is why I booked it. (between the airport in Boston and Duxbury where friends live) couldn't really offer any other remarks no
Hotel staff was very helpful about printing out my boarding passes for the following day; but that shouldn't have been necessary, if the hotel's guest computer was set up correctly to allow printing of .pdf files
The room was a nice size ad the bed was extremely comfortable. Staff was nice. They were under a lot of construction internally and this made it difficult to move around the hallways, building etc. I did not know this before I went. I found this to be very annoying. It also meant that not all the amenities were in the room such as a frig, etc. They were sitting in the hallway. This is a temporary situation, but it would have been nice if they reduced the room rate or offered a free breakfast.
Floors were extremely sticky, weren't notified beforehand that hotel is under renovation - cardboard and paint throughout the hallways
Nice view after the snow storm. Bathroom was very nice and so was the TV nothing
My boyfriend and I checked into this hotel in an attempt to get sleep after a late flight back from a business trip, before heading back into the city for work in the morning. We checked in around 2:30 AM, and there was a line of 2 people ahead of us, waiting for service, at 2:30 AM. It took us about a half hour before we had a room key. We went up to the room, finally, at 3AM, to find that there was NO HEAT on in our room. We turned the heater up as high as it could go, but we were not warm for the first couple hours we were there. We both stood in the hot shower and tried to warm up. This was the most miserable stay I've ever had at a hotel. I can understand if the heat issue is a way to save money, but it shouldn't hurt your customer experience. The minute a customer books a room, turn the damn heat on.
- ALL the amenities in the room and hotel in general, it's basically a apartment building and the rooms are basically apartments. i truly wish i could live there! it had everything i needed! - it was clean, comfortable, and great for a week+ stay. - the extra little perks they provide - buttered microwave popcorn, sugars/salts/peppers, cooking/eating supplies, multiple chairs, 2 different pillow types, great bed, great workspace/desk, big screen tv, DVD/VCR player, even the freezer had a ice maker! everything was clean and in working condition. - the whole Candlewood Cupboard, the free washers/dryers, etc. besides the wifi, i'm kinda reaching with the rest of these 'complaints' lol, i truly did love my stay here and wish i could live here! - the wifi password having to be changed because it's not done in a smooth procedural way, and hotel guests went X hours without their promised wifi during this weekly change. - 2 of the 5 washers were out of order during my whole week + stay. - the location isn't very good for MBTA users because you have to do a long, partial sidewalks walk to Granite for the bus stop, not fun to do in the summer with luggage so it's best to have a car if you stay here. - the bottom kitchen drawer where the pots/pan are kept was not in working condition when i arrived... - a couple staff were not very hospitable and courteous.. maybe i caught them at a rough time?
Josephine's was absolutely beautiful. They even went so far as to leave me a bag of treats on my bed. You could not believe how spacious it was. My room was huge, and I had a living room attached to my room that was huge as well. I enjoyed looking through the telescope at the bay and ocean view. Very unique, very beautiful place to stay. Unfortunately, I had to leave for a family emergency in the middle of the night and missed breakfast, however I would definitely return. Absolutely gorgeous home!!
We had a clean and quiet back room. Close to the T subway - 30 minutes from the centre of Boston. You can see the motel as you arrive in Braintree Station. Well located for travellers on foot like us. The blankets were old and needed replacement, certainly not up to the excellent standard of the sheets and quilt cover
Good value and access to trains (though across an unmarked-for-pedestrian walkway)!
Rooms were dirty, bedding was very old looking and looked like it was never washed! It is more of a truck stop. I will not be staying in this motel ever again! Staff is cold and have no customer service skills
It had a good location - it was 2 minutes away from the subway. It had no real sidewalk/walkway leading to the hotel. This makes it difficult for commuters (via subway) to reach the hotel on foot, especially when they have luggage.
The good: Location Nice desk staff The bad: Bed (hard as a rock) Shower (ours wasn't working properly) Bathroom overall (the sink was falling apart) Room overall (decor was of extremely poor quality) Noise
The price is good. Although we arrive very late we can find some personnel in front desk. It's very close to the big markets and 5 miles to Niagara. Their breakfast is not good. No tea.
The staff was really nice and allowed us to store our luggage with them at 8am so that we could go to the city and tour before checking in. I loved the fact that it was right next to the T line! Braintree is a bit far from downtown, but if you're on a budget...eh? Clean room, great cable, and nice staff. Good for its price!
Check out lady. She gave us a refund of the half room price without discussions, cause of the trouble see below. The guy at check in was unfriendly. The room was dirty: long hairs in the bathtub, water standing in the sink and didn´t go away, the batheroom door was broken.
For business trip in economy style this motel is more than enough. I have no reasons to complain. Decent restaurant on premises and highway to Cap Cod and Boston are bid advantages. I will stay there next time definitely. Paid Wi-Fi with login every day. Didn't they consider to charge also for water and air separately? Cheap pennypitching... And garbage recycling, it's time for it.
the renovated rooms are clean and modern I wish there was a coffee machine in the rooms.
Near the town Frigidaire and microwave missing
Absolutely nothing. Our room was the opposite of that what you may call a clean room. Let aside the hole that had been burnt into the blanket and the carpet by cigarettes (by the way: we booked a non-smoking room one week before our arrival). The blankets did not look that clean as they should be (we asked for new ones which once had been white and turn into yellow over the years) and last but not least we found the remains of vomit on one of our beds beds and on the door of the bathroom. The air in the room had the smell of a mixture of this distinguished ingredients (vomit plus cigarettes) that made it impossible to sleep. This place cannot be recommended, not at all.
The coffee Noisy in the hallways
The breakfast was good Rugs were dirty throughout the hotel. Everything looked old and dingy.
Convenience to highway. Bathroom was stinky and moldy.
The room was basic but comfortable and clean. Lacking in lighting. Continental breakfast was great. Adequate laundry facility although a bit expensive we felt. Great exercise room. Not enough lighting in the room.
The proximity to my nephew's house where we were having Thanksgiving dinner.
quiet rooms; restful sleep
I liked leaving. As a solo female traveler, I did not feel safe in this hotel. The entire complex is too old and falling apart. Rooms are dirty and musty. Sketchy people loiter in the hallways.
Front desk wasn't really sure what room we were staying in. Also we had a wedding to go to that day and no hot water throughout the hotel. They told us the plumber was working on it and it will be done in 24 hours. Just bad timing..
Was excited for a pool. Pool and spa was being renovated, no reduction in rate. Front desk person was rushed and short. Key card systems were not working. Place smelled of smoke and room was dirty, with stains on the carpet, musty smell, old feel, saggy beds. Could hear everything through the walls. Outdoor entrance door did not lock
Clean ,quaint, nice atmosphere. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Smelled like smoke in hallways
Enjoyed everything, cleanliness, buffet and quietness.
The hotel staff was very nice, helpful & accommodating. The hotel lobby, dining area & rooms were very clean & nicely decorated. The hotel rate was very reasonable considering a great breakfast was included. I would highly recommend this hotel. I can't think of anything I didn't like about this hotel..
Very quiet The room smelled like smoke.
I like that it was close to everything I was looking for. Nothing, great for the price.
Very basic. The room looked like someone had plundered it the night before. Outlets were loose in the wall, doors were missing from nearly all the drawers, It also smelled of stale cigarettes in a supposed non smoking room.
Close to Boston The hotel was dirty, I don't think a vacuum cleaner passed by that place in months.
Leaving Being here! I know the saying goes "you get what you pay for". It is still very much true. The price and location were the only things that passed at this Motel. Several police cars and a K-9 unit met us at the entrance. Followed by a major leak from the room above, to get moved into another room which looks to have stains on the curtains of undeterminable variety.
I liked the staff and the convenient location to places on the south shore of Boston The carpet needed to be shampooed
Several decent restaurants were in the area. The room and particularly the bath need complete rejuvanation.
Related to the price, it's clean and have a good service The WI-FI signal is very poor in the rooms. To use Internet, you have to go outside near the reception.
