A great choice for a stay in Swiftwater, Chestnut Grove Resort features a nightclub. After splashing around at the indoor pool, you can grab a bite to eat at the restaurant or unwind with a drink at the bar/lounge. A spa tub and a seasonal outdoor pool are offered, and rooms at this all-inclusive resort have conveniences like sofa beds and refrigerators.
Cons: When we checked in we were given a choice, wait for a room a few hours or accept one on a lower floor. As my 4 year old couldn't wait to get started we took the room. The room had a putrid smell, I thought like old gym socks, we later learned actually sewer / cesspool smell. Room was a little sticky as well. After coming back to room from water park, rm still smelled, toilet started to act up. At 10;30 PM we finally complained, took over an hour and 2 calls to get maintenance in. He fixed it , but broke again after 2 uses. Lunchtime we came back to rm to find the toilet in the bath tub and workers in & out of room. Although all staff apologized and were nice, they gave us late checkout & a coupon for Starbucs, they did not make us feel better or give us a satisfactory resolution. I am sure this does not happen to all, but it did to us and our experience to Great Wolf Lodge in the Poconos was not a good one.
Pros: The lines went quick and water rides rocked!
Pros: Staff was very friendly/helpful. The room was very clean w/ fridge and microwave & had everything I needed. I've been in 5 star hotels that don't have little things like shower caps available. Breakfast was good. Forgot something there and they immediately located it and held it for me. All in all great standard more than I expected!
Pros: Great accommodates for a great price.
Cons: I was unable to swim though that was due to families with small children staying that weekend so I let them enjoy. Maybe next time :)

Pros: The entire staff was very kind, friendly, professional, helpful and efficient. We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back
Pros: Nothing at all
Cons: My room was dirty and had bed bugs ! plus I had a very unpleasant time it was boring nothing to do unless you go there to gamble or play gulf .Not suitable for a family with small children you have to be escorted everywhere the restaurants are located in the casino and you can't enter unless someone escorts you to and from,so that becomes very annoying
Pros: Convenient fairly priced
Cons: Starbucks is on the other side of hotel. Need security escort for children to go eat or Starbucks being casino is in the middle and also the restaurant are there as well. I just went to the outside to eat during my stay.
Pros: We loved the facilities and restaurants. Casino allows smoking but rest of the hotel is smoke free.
Cons: The hidden resort fees at check out. Close to $100 extra
Pros: The restaurants are fabulous ... combined, you can find a simple grilled cheese to a uniquely prepared top choice veal porterhouse and a lot of choices in-between. Excellent service from all the staff and plenty around to help you with anything you want. The casino is well maintained.
Cons: Can't come up with anything I didn't like.
Cons: The rooms could use more bath towels. While it was purported to be a smoke free hotel room, there was the smell of cigarette smoke in the casino areas that was off-putting.
Pros: Much more than expected. Casino is top notch. Have been to casino on many occasions. Our first time to the resort/ hotel side. We will return. Met or beat our expectation.
Situated in the mountains, this spa hotel is within 6 mi (10 km) of MagiQuest, House Of Candles, and Great Wolf Lodge Waterpark. The Crossings Premium Outlets and Summit Lanes are also within 6 mi (10 km).
Pros: It was 1 minute close to horseback riding; which was great! The breakfast food was good. The rooms were clean. There was plenty of activity to do free in the resort.
Cons: There's a $120 hold on top of an $83 fee. We was informed about a $75 fee not $83 which was ok. The $120 hold would have been ok had we been informed! Also the resort can be all inclusive as far as the meals but we weren't given the option; which sucked.
Pros: The quite peaceful relaxing mood
Pros: Villas are separate little units that aren't connected so no worries of being kept up by loud neighbors. Themed rooms are a nice change from the usual bed and bath hotels that are everywhere.
Cons: Mold for days in the shower and jacuzzi. Bring your own cleaning supplies if you want a little peace of mind for your own personal hygiene. Each restock of towels seems to be riddled with mystery stains of all colors. Highly recommend checking towels before grabbing one to wrap or dry yourself with.
Pros: The location
Cons: Do not go by the website pictures. The room's interior was old and in desperate need of new carpeting, wallpaper, furniture. The exterior of the buildings were just plain unattractive. Felt like a concrete roadside motel that wasn't updated since 1975 that charges way too much. Definitely not "Romantic"....
Pros: The room was nice. It was secluded and had a romantic vibe to it. The staff tried to make up for the room not being ready.
Cons: We arrived at 3:30, check in was at 3:30 but we did not receive a room until 7:30pm. We continued to get the run around for why our room was not ready timely.
A great choice for a stay in Cresco, Paradise Stream Resort features a nightclub. You can grab a bite to eat at the restaurant and visit the spa to be pampered with deep-tissue massages, body wraps, or aromatherapy. 2 bars/lounges and an indoor pool are other highlights at this romantic hotel, and rooms offer fireplaces and flat-screen TVs.

Pros: The kids loved the waterpark. We got a great rate using the kayak app. I have also seen groupons for this resort that have great deals (considering normal rate). I can't wait to visit again using one of the discounted options. Water was warm, air felt cold at first (but I'm always freezing) but I warmed up quickly. I also think it's worth mentioning how appreciative I am that the resort allows kids to use their own coast gaurd approved flotation devices. A lot of water parks have started banning them saying people are not attentive to their children because they think the devices are a substitute for supervising your children. Although I'm sure that's true. I'm willing to bet the parents in that category don't supervise their children either way. Isn't it better to at least know these kids have a safety net?!?! I have two small children one of whom is a very high energy 5 year old. These places are often crowded and it's easy to lose sight of your child for even just a moment. It was very comforting knowing my babies had supervision and a safety net just in case.. Please keep allowing parents to use them.
Cons: We stayed to play for a few hours on the day of checkout and the shower area in the waterpark is an open area. I just wish they had private shower facility's in the waterpark. The amazing shampoo and conditioner the resort provided was awesome though ;)
Bring the family when you stay at Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Pocono Manor and have fun at the free water park. You can visit the spa to be pampered with massages, body treatments, or mani/pedis, and Great Karoo Marketplace, one of 3 restaurants, serves breakfast and dinner. A lazy river and a bar/lounge are other highlights, and rooms offer conveniences like sofa beds and refrigerators.
Cons: Beds were hard
Breakfast was just fair and not enough seating while there
bathroom had issues
Cons: We were in a non-smoking room, but when we walked into the hallway, it wreaked of smoke!
Pros: Hotel staff was friendly, helpful. Pets accepted
Cons: Staff at bar keep calling me "honey", "dear"
Pros: Staff was extremely friendly and upgraded our room upon arrival. Perfect for a weekend getaway. 15 minutes from casino and Camelback. Great drinks at their bar and great food. There is a restaurant across from the hotel that has amazing food. If you just want to get away and not have to worry about planning and traveling all over this is the place. We will definitely be back. Its a great little secret spot.
Cons: No late check out option.
Pros: staff, breakfast
Cons: room was dated

Pros: Breakfast buffet for $13.99. 2 rounds make it worth the money. Freshly made mix n match omelettes were fantastic! The king sized bed was comfortable.
Cons: Front desk staff were accommodating. Parking was easy. Amenities were available. Didn't expect the place to have such an "old" vibe. Cant blame them since the place was founded in the 1900s or something. Seemed a bit too rustic for my taste. Hot water took minutes to come out the faucet. Shower water pressure was too low. Update the rooms. Everything just seemed so outdated, except for the flat screen TV in the room. Renovate the place. It looks very old and outdated.
Pros: I wish we could have stayed longer. Next time we stay it will be an extended stay. Great place for the price..
Pros: Beautiful location in the Poconos
Historic, rustic feel
Cons: Room wasn't well cleaned(Laurel Lodge)
Service in the bar wasn't attentive
Front desk at spa had no interest in giving us a tour or explaining services
Need larger/better staffed counter selling personal items (didn't have a toothbrush)
Wedding was going on during our stay and we were very clearly not a priority of the hotel
Pros: The resort was clean and offered many enjoyable activities. The location is beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful. There are lots of quiet places inside and out where one can sit for a few moments to recharge. The surrounding area includes a lot of shopping options, including a Walmart for any forgotten items.
Cons: The room left a lot to be desired. The AC system was so loud you couldn't hear the TV when running and it jolts you awake. The bed was positioned under a slanted ceiling and I bumped my head getting up. Water pressure was so low that it was barely able to keep the shower on. We arrived at 4:30 and didn't get a room until 6:00. The breakfast buffet was a little pricey at $18 per person, but there is a Perkins nearby. There was no coffee maker in the room, although the complimentary coffee in the lobby was ready by 5:00 a.m. Worst of all, I had to drive a mile for ice cream :)
Pros: 100 year old hotel that has been very carefully preserved in the old fashion furnishings, yet everything was clean and well appointed.
Stayed for a Friday night, wanted something different than the usual cinder block hotel overnight stay - this is the place. The staff was extremely friendly and eager to assist, even the night facilities manager was kind enough to open the indoor pool and walk us down the into the pool and recreation area later at night just so we could see it. There were kids in the arcade and pool table area having fun and the hotel in-house movie theatre was showing a movie about 11pm. Lots going on! The bed was one of the most comfortable beds that I have ever slept in at a hotel, and the room despite being over 100 years old was up to date, clean and very pleasant. The morning was great with the beautiful mountain views. This is a hard property to maintain because of the age of the hotel and they have worked really hard to keep in up and it shows! We will definitely stay again, and the next time try the spa, it looked wonderful.
Cons: There wasn't any thing that was negative, except that we were coming in after dark and the hotel signage on the roads and lighting to get to the property could be a little better for those not familiar with the country roads.
Pros: The staff members were very accommodating. Felt very comfortable just staying with myself and toddler. Other reviews commented on the decor but I didn't find it distasteful at all, nor will it defer me from staying again.
Cons: The only thing bad I can say about our stay was the slamming doors throughout the night. I'm a light sleeper so I was up all night. My daughter slept right through it though.

You can visit the spa to be pampered with deep-tissue massages, body wraps, or aromatherapy, and The Exchange, one of 5 restaurants, serves breakfast and dinner. An indoor pool and an outdoor pool are other highlights, and rooms offer flat-screen TVs and refrigerators.
Cons: Very dirty and very outdated. Unchaperoned kids running around late at night. Housekeeping knocked on our door 4 times before check out to see when we were leaving and woke the kids and baby up it wasnt even 11 am yet anf we all had a late night
Pros: Good spot for quick layover
Cons: Furniture outdated and appeared in poor condition
Cons: No continental brekfast for cree.
Pros: Food prices for breakfast were good. And it's easy access. And centrally located. Friendly staff.
Cons: The decor. The dark , gloomy and seamingly dirty bar and restaurant. Everything is covered in fake plant material. I do mean the entire ceiling. God only know what kind of dust and grease is on them. Vending machines were either broke or empty.

Cons: Dirty rooms. Need upgrading
Pros: The balcony!
Pros: Close to everything tourists want to see
Cons: Cleaning Room service knocked hard on door at 8am and then just opens the door without warning. Husband and wife have no privacy

Cons: Really old and out dated n didn't clean the rooms before our stay
Pros: Nothing to do
Cons: I didn't like anything horrible
Pros: Location might be convinient for the ski resort across the lake.
Cons: Much older than what pictures show. Not very well maintained at all. beat up furnitures and no refrigerator in the room.

Cons: My room had no heat and the wind just blew in from under the door.
Pros: Nice TV, good channels, good wifi, comfy bed.
Pros: Clean and quiet, no frills place. The whole place shows that it has been remodeled but the upgrades seem to be surface only.
Cons: The WiFi was weak and often non-existent. The tub enclosure was fairly nice, but operating the faucet was unusual, requiring many extra turns to cause the water to run. THERE WERE NO GRAB BARS. Staff did not make beds while cleaning the room.
Cons: Dirty stained towelsQueen bed not stable leans forward unsecured frameOld 1970s feel for 2015
I would not ever go to this hotel again. It was very dirty. There was urine stains on the toilet seat and old tooth paste in the sink a dirty wash cloth under the bed and a dirty paper towel in the draw. When I was checking out I was never asked about my stay.
Pros: I did not like this hotel at all
Cons: It was very dirty and house keeping never came to make our beds
Pros: Nice people-great services-very attentive, location in the middle of everything, clean
Pros: It's location to Mt. Airy.
Cons: Yes, how they charged me twice for the room.
All I can say is this hotel was a dive, and I feel cheated that I was chargedxxx for such poor quality. I just wanted clean and decent. This place was very disappointing.
Pros: It was fairly close to where I was goinig.
Cons: The room had an odor and the office was not open at 7 am. I wanted to get some coffee and check out. Also the blankets were not nice at all. They felt like a piece of foam rubber. This hotel is way over priced even at the discounted price.
will not recommend this to anyone
Pros: it was located near the shopping areas
Cons: when the desk was informed there were dirty sheets in my room, instead of sending housekeeping to change sheets, desk clerk just went & got another sheet & gave it to me. Breakfast was a joke. Group of people came to room next to mine to party loud music.
Pros: I was not expecting a five star hotel, but for the price the hotel looks like it rents by the hour, would never stay here again.
Cons: I did not like anything, the worst hotel I have ever stayed in my life.
I would put this hotel at a -1. Not the worst hotel I ever stayed at but definitely the worst I booked using pricelin. Needed a place to stay on my way back from Maine but would not pick on purpose.
Cons: Smelled bad
Pros: I was happy with the location.
Cons: The room smelt like smoke and didn't seem that clean

Pros: The location was very convenient as it was close to the major tourist attractions
Cons: The breakfast offered includes juice and muffins, of which juice was not provided.
Pros: Near highway RT 80
Cons: The room
Cons: The condition of room bad
Pros: The location.
Cons: Nope, it was fine.
Cons: Worn down. Appearance needs maintenance upkeep. Carpets were stained. Stale smell. Not worth the $---. Spend an extra $20 and get a clean hotel. Unfortunately all local hotels were sold out due to an event so I had no option.
Pros: Location. Next to great restaurants and activities
Cons: Pool is not open and advertises an outside pool. Continental breakfast very poor. You are offered a muffin, coffee, or juice.
Pros: Close to town
Cons: Manager was not very friendly . No communication skills .To close to highway lot of noise .
Pros: Nothing & disgusting
The owners were very nasty people, the man lied about his name, but said they were the owners. Uncooperative and mean. They didn't want to help us in many was, they at one point shut the internet off on us so we couldn't use it. My family was very uncomfortable and displeased. The man(owner) even suggest that we don't use the towels and clothes since him and his family never use hotel towels. Suddenly it made sense why the clothes were so disgusting. They simply don't care about guess satisfaction!
Pros: Absolutely nothing, very poor service and experience! Unhappy and displeased.
Cons: I didn't like anything about the hotel. The towels ,washcloths, sheets, blankets and pillowcases were disgustingly dirty,it was unbelievable have dirty things were, from the walls to the bathtubs. Even the shower curtain was so disgusting, and not changed
Cons: Small room.old looking.needs work and updating
