Pros. I like how updated everything is, the rooms were beautiful. They upgraded our room to a supreme room when we had originally paid for a deluxe room which was very nice and made our stay more spacious. The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable. The adjoining restaurant is delicious and was easy to be seated quickly. They sometimes are able to accomodate early check in which is really nice as well! Has a coffee shop available downstairs that serves up some good stuff, not much available in the way of breakfast food there though.
Cons. Street noise. At times you can hear people yelling from the street below. Although the valet is mentioned as complimentary on their website- it costs $45 a night. No microwaves in the rooms and sink space is very small. Website mentions a $30 credit to Rider restaurant when you dine, stay, and valet but was never given.
Pros. It was centrally located in heart of the city
Cons. Hotel was going through a remodel
Cons. small rooms, bathroom
Pros. The location is excellent for shopping, good eating spots, walking, and many more!! The staff are very friendly and also the room is always clean every time we stay.
Cons. No vending machines, no breakfast
Pros. I enjoy the charm of older hotels and this one fit the bill. I paid $120 including tax through Kayak. The location is excellent. There’s a lot of variation in the room sizes. My son and daughter-in-law were at first assigned to a room so tiny that they could hardly walk around the bed, but they asked for a larger one and were assigned a very nice room with lots of space and a large sofa. My room was large with two queen beds and a love seat. The beds and pillows were great!
Cons. I read the signs about saving energy, so hung up my towels and bathmat to keep them from being washed every day but I guess the housekeeping staff couldn’t read and replaced them every day anyway! Our big problem was the smokers!! I spent some time in my son’s large room, and was nearly knocked over by the strong smell of smoke in the hall. We complained to the front desk numerous times, and they kept saying that they would handle it and let us know, but it never improved. The first evening, after hours of smoke, we finally smelled some air freshener spray trying to cover the odor. We were told that a flight crew were the culprits, but they were obviously not told to leave if they were going to smoke, since it happened again the next day. My son and his wife were offered another room for their last night, but that’s a major pain to move. It’s hard to believe that a hotel cannot handle law-breakers in their establishment!
Pros. The room itself was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The location is central. The price very reasonable for downtown Seattle. Parking is expensive (but again its downtown Seattle).
Cons. There are no amenities at this hotel. No restaurant. No bar. No pool. No room service (no food at all) Coffee by the front desk is about it. Additionally, the hotel does not have much character and neither do the rooms.
Cons. The management was very rude and non understanding
Pros. Beautiful room. Stores and bars all around. Close to the bus stop and light rail.
Cons. The elevators were small and only two for 20 floors and no pool.
Pros. Location was excellent and there were no unpleasant surprises
Cons. Pretty bland and indistinguishable from all the others - -no character, especially for a place named after TR On way out, front desk did not have the ability to change a $20 bill - -what's up with that?
