Freindly staff Rooms were a little small for doubles
food was excellent no lift if on top floor a few to many steps if you have luggage and children to see to
All the staff were extremely pleasant, helpful and attentive and service was first class. While it may seem an odd thing to comment on, the plumbing was most efficient with instant high pressure piping hot water "on tap" at all times
The staff always had a smile for you The rain
Staff were helpful - food was good - altogether a pleasant hotel. low energy bulbs in bathroom did not give sufficient lighting
location and setting
convenience of location
It would be hard to single out one certain thing. We enjoyed everything, the room was lovely, meals at alexanders great and breakfast also in hotel restaurant. Pool and steam room nice too. Nothing.
We had a lovely stay, the food was excellent and clean comfortable room It would have been nice to have a room with a view
Easy access and relaxing 1 Guest had to be removed from the hote - reason unknown
The general friendliness of the staff and the comfort of the room.
Hotel staff were very accomodating facilities were good had room service and enjoyed the food Breakfast was ok
Warm and friendly staff, excellent leisure facilities, clean and spacious room with nice riverside view.
View from the room window Good size of rooms Pool The pillows were flimsy - not of good quality. Only 2 lightweight pillows for a double bed.
friendly helpful staff, swimming, comfortable bar
Location was excelllent, right on the river. My room was very large with all the little extras that normally need requesting. Good TV, extremely modern bathroom etc. No complaints, slight traffic noise which meant the windows had to be closed which I don't normally do.
Good view from room, spacious dining area and bar, convenient location for station and town centre, helpful reception staff. No complaints
Lovely room great location good food great staff very comfortable bed The only thing I could say was bad there was dirty cups left in my room from the last person
a good centre providing good facilities for eating Unfortunately the cleanliness of the room was poor - andn it was not made up or cleaned on second morning of stay.
i booked a double room but hotel reception found us a twin room as 2 guys working in over bridge..so location was exellent found the bedroom to warm even with windows open.. would suggest tv or background music in bar/lounge
Friendliness of staff
Staff very friendly, room comfortable
The bed was very confortable and the chocolate labrador friendly. Slight confusion finding it as we went to Kirby Stephan. perhaps address on online booking info should be clearer?
Food, friendly atmosphere, parking, peace and quiet Some maintenance and redecoration required
The quality of food served and friendliness of the staff.
Food very good but menu limited. The hotel is currently being updated which will greatly improve the appearance of the public area.
nothing, wallpaper pealing of walls in room. door handle knob came off, poor television service, dated hotel in need of total overhall
good food,comfortable room,nice people. location poor.just one street,no facilities
Staff always friendly and helpful. Breakfasts and evening meals always more than adequate. Accommodation always clean and fresh towels etc including coffee and tea every day.
Excellent breakfast. Good to see that the room had Freeview television, something the big chains need to invest in.
Very good value. Excellent size of room. Excelent breakfast None
Friendly, attentive staff, and great food
Traditional local pub with friendly atmosphere. Quiet accommodation with all mod cons and easy car parking. Good food and real ales.
The location met our requirements as we were meeting friends. The staff were helpful in providing electric heating as the room was cold when we arrived.Overall a good weekend.
The room was spacious, and the food in the attached inn was excellent.
All staff were very courteous and friendly - couldn't do enough to help. Nice, cosy place, handy for all tourist sites. Overall a very enjoyable stay.
Staff considerate and helpful.
The Station is a busy Hotel/pub good atmosphere, good food and comfortable rooms.
Clean, spacious, courteous staff. Manager handled a mini-crisis (my son got sick after dinner) with understanding. We had booked a family room but were instead given a double with a cot (although not identified as such.) At 6'2" my son is too big for a cot. It broke within minutes of being set up. Only after my request did we receive a reduced rate on the room (to the more appropriate double rate). We were not informed that reserved tables in the restaurant were for hotel guests and so we went to the the bar for dinner. It would have been nice to have been told so we could have dined with the other guests. Staff told us the minigolf required only a deposit for the clubs. The manager, instead, charged a rental fee.
Friendly helpful staff and the quality of the food, both dinner and breakfast, selections of beers was also good.
Great views Location if northbound !
It was quiet, warm and comfy. A spider
Friendly check in No WiFi. Broken Very poor food at the RadChef next door.
a very comfortable ovenight stop
Overcharged for poor continental breakfast when there was a Little Chef restaurant right outside the hotel. Hotel not willing to refund breakfast. Very poor service.
Staff were very welcoming & gave excellent information about the immediate area, questions were answered promtly & politely . Slight misunderstanding about the room booking , I thought I had booked a Double room on line(it was the first time I had made a booking on line), but when I arrived I was initially given a Twin room, but when I went back to reception the swap to Double was made immediatally & without any fuss :)
It was fine. The room was comfortable, warm enough, and quite quiet. The location is why I chose it, because the lakeside view is good. Unfortunately I only had a view of the car park. The room is good value for couples and families, but for a widow such as I it is not that cheap. The tiling round the bath was black near the edge of the bath and at the point where shower water normally hits the tiles. I am pretty sure thqt it was "clean" but it fifn't look very good. A toothbrush and some bleach would have helped.
Very convenient location and much better deal than Westmoreland a few miles north.
Very convenient for the business we did in Kendel
Very easy hotel to find and use Food on offer was a little poor for a late arival
A pleasant hotel near to the M6 Motorway. Good atmosphere nand comforatble with good food. Perhaps a bit overpriced.
A little less lighting in the restaurant would improve atmosphere
I found the service and the food at the restuarant very good
The food. The large carpark. (En-route to Scotland, towing a trailer) Nothing really.
Welcoming staff, clean, comfortable room, very good restaurant
Nice room, very clean and hotel attached to a nice pub Breakfast was average and there was no WiFi.
Excellent service and friendly, helpful staff.
Friendly welcoming staff easy location to get to and pleasent surroundings We wasn’t to keen on guest’s not staying at the hotel using the restaurant.
Ideal location, ample parking facilities, well appointed, clean, very hospitable, large clean comfortable rooms, excellent shower, good breakfast, resonable menu, all in all an enjoyable place to stay and I would recommend this Hotel to anyone Nothing to comment on here.
The friendly and helpful staff, delicious food and beautiful log fire on a freezing weekend.
