10.0 Excellent
Cons: Absolutely spot on
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous location and they have kept the original features.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very welcoming and place was very homely.. perfect after a long walk, breakfast in the morning was gorgeous!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The level of service and warmth from the hosts was fantastic. It was like staying with your Grandparents rather than staying in paid accommodation. They were very flexible around breakfast, happy to sit down and have a cup of tea in the afternoon and share some great stories. They deliberately don't fully book the property so it feels spacious. Also had great recommendations about where to eat etc. Descent knowledge about the walks, though don't have Toni draw you any maps!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness, hospitality, marvellous location in the Yorkshire Dales
10.0 Excellent
Pros: warm welcome, very helpful host, enjoyable stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: At first my wife and I chose Top Farm because of the good reviews. We were looking for a comfortable accommodation in the heart of the North Yorkshire National Park, in the outstanding Dales, to spend a relaxing time among the Three Peaks, moors, streams, little villages, sheep and impressive landscapes. We wanted a cozy place in the beautiful English countryside. Top Farm had been our home away from home for ten amazing days in the Yorkshire Dales. Many thanks to Noel and Tony, Top Farm owners, who really made ourselves at home from the beginning. Top Farm is about great hospitality, great accommodation, great breakfast, great service. Simply Top! Hopefully we will be back next year.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a real hidden gem. Fantastic facilities in a beautiful location. The breakfast was absolutely amazing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Not a single thing they could possibly do to make it any better. Beautiful house with a view of Pen y Ghent, two lovely people who did everything they could to make us comfy and welcome after a long day on the trails, including offering an evening meal and receiving a package of our next day clothes for us and even driving us back to Gearstones for our next morning start. I've travelled all over the world but I can't think of any better B&B I've stayed in. Thanks for everything!
Cons: Nothing could possibly have been better.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely apartment style with beautiful gardens. Sitting area downstairs with small fridge. Host was wonderful and made us an evening meal at short notice. Very organized for choices of breakfast and tasty food
Cons: Everything was great
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing, tranquil location, it was lovely to sit outside and enjoy the surrounding nature. Accomodation is really spacious and nicely decorated. The bed was super comfortable. We were doing sightseeing, but could have quite happily stayed a couple of days and just relaxed in the B&B. It was the little touches as well... Good selection of teas, coffee machine, smart TV with Netflix, binoculars. There is a friendly cat on the premises as well. Breakfast was really good, got a full English, fruit, toast, cereal, yogurts. There were lots of options and good portions. Can't fault it really. The host was really nice, helpful and accomodating. Thank you for a lovely stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet location. Lots of nice touches. Modern decor. Lovely clean bathroom. Very comfortable bed. We had to leave at 5am so the owner left us some sandwiches and snacks for our journey which was good of her.
Cons: I honestly cant think of anything it's a really good place
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a return visit to Ginger and Wood as we loved it so much before we decided to come back for 3 nights this time and it was as lovely and perfect as we remember.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location was beautiful, the suite was super clean, well equipped and comfy. Breakfast was gorgeous and the host was great allowing us to check in at a later time.
7.5 Good
Pros: Clean. Well equipped. Very good breakfast.
Cons: Walking stairs a bit loud. Nothing really around ( all need car driving )
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location. We completed the three peaks and it was perfect location for this. Homely feel with personal touches. Owners were very helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend. Breakfast was home made and exactly what we needed. We will be staying again!
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Both my wife and i were totally chuffed. The breakfasts were superb, the privacy was much appreciated and we loved the rooms space and style. Cheryl was the perfect host both thoughtful and helpful and the fact that you get your own streamed garden with great little touches such as the binoculars for watching the garden birds was the icing on the cake. It is virtually like having your own little cottage for your stay......brilliant.....no hesitation in recommending Ginger & Wood
Cons: I suppose it could be argued that you cant just walk to the local shop...... but this would be to miss the point of this superb location and surroundings so for us there was nothing we didn't like

Pros: Fantastic location with great room and lovely hosts.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hosts trish and Richard welcoming. Excellent value for money breakfast outstanding. Surrounded by cows and hens sheep and birds pool and darts room great too would so return here I even had sherry in my room complimentary homely feel
Cons: Did not stop long enough
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved everything about our stay, from the super friendly hosts to the clean and spacious rooms and the outstanding hospitality.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was lovely, cooked exactly as asked, as I am very fussy with eggs. The owners are lovely people, they made us feel very welcome. Its beautifully situated, next to a farm. It was funny watching the antics of the cows.
Cons: Everything was great, with lovely little touches added to our room. Bathroom was a bit worse for wear, but that was simply down to it being a bit dated. It is an old house, so its not really a issue. I would have given anything for a nice bath after trying the 3 peaks, but that wasn't the B&Bs fault. Next time I would just make sure I had a room with a bathtub.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great quiet location. Property has been developed tastefully and in keeping with its age and history. Although in rural location only 5 minutes by car to centre of Settle but also near enough to walk if you wish to. Owners very friendly and helpful, made us feel very welcome. Added facilities like games room and extra touches like glasses for wine and little cakes to have with tea/coffee. Breakfast cooked to perfection using locally sourced produce and eggs from own chickens.
Cons: Can't really think of anything we didn't like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s seclusion was fab
Cons: x
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Trish and Richard are great hosts, they are more than happy to assist with any requests and are very knowledgable as local guides.
7.5 Good
Pros: Richard and Trish made us feel so welcome at Littlebank B&B. The House itself looked a real period property complete with original creaking staircase to our room. The room was tastefully furnished with some well chosen pieces adding a touch of luxury, Other nice touches included home baked cakes and a decanter of sherry for the guests. Breakfast was enjoyable with a choice of cereal, fruit, juices, tea and coffee. Cooked breakfast was really good.
Cons: We would have appreciated a larger washbasin in the shower room which was really only large enough for a hand wash. There was no shelf/ holder in the shower to put shower gels and shampoo only on the base of the cubicle. After an approach up a rather long and rough farm track, we found that the surrounding garden to the house was in need of attention. Once this has been addressed, sitting out would be possible in decent weather.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Hosts welcoming and friendly. Available all the time if needed. Lots of personal touches beyond the normal expectations B & B that contribute to the welcome. Very quiet location. Comfortable bed with lovely fresh linen. Breakfast freshly cooked to your liking using locally sourced eggs and meat. Wi-fi and mobile single good. Definitely consider returning if in the area.
Cons: . Lovely location but the access road is not made up as it is across a field.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the moment of arrival there was a warm welcome from Richard and Trish (and the dogs and hens) and their attentiveness throughout the stay was commendable (including the homemade cakes). Wonderful to sit eating a delicious breakfast and watching the garden birds on the feeders.
Cons: Nothing - even the weather was good!

Cons: No negatives whatsoever.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good choice of food, juice etc - we had the cooked breakfast - and it was excellent - although we couldn't quite finish it all! Parking was a little bit of a challenge but the owners worked hard to ensure we could do so safely. When another car had to get out and we were blocking the way, Jackie hunted down where we were having our evening meal and helped in every way possible. As a film crew, carrying expensive equipment, they also allowed us to use their sitting room to lock some items away.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff, and in particular the owners, couldn't have been more helpful. There were 7 of us and there wasn't a bad evening meal or breakfast between us. All the rooms were spot on, especially the quality shower after a long day on mountain bikes.
Cons: Slightly isolated location but could be what a lot of guests would actually like about it.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy airy room, nicely decorated and very clean. Plenty of room for the three of us in the family room. Nice bathroom with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was nicely cooked and quality produce. Pros: The staff were a real highlight of the stay, Jack and Mark at the bar gave a fantastic welcome and made us feel like locals. We were given newspaper and cleaning gear for our boots and they stoked the fire especially. Breakfast was great and the morning staff were equally delightful. The shower pressure is amazing.
Cons: No TV in room may be a negative for others
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was great, fresh fruit and yogurts for me, a choice of cereals for the other half. My poached eggs were excellent...which is not always the case! Plenty of meaty stuff ...again for the other half.

Pros: It’s in a great location for exploring the dales and also to do the 3 peaks challenge. Spacious rooms and a big comfy bed. The food was excellent as were the staff and the service. Really friendly owners too.
Cons: Only downside on our stay was the shower in our deluxe double room (room 6) is the only shower not run off electricity and is therefore pressure fed, meaning when other showers in other rooms are in use then we lost all hot water, which happened 3 times to us over the weekend. But in fairness the owners are aware of the issue and have said they will be fixing it soon.

Room was well appointed comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast was possibly the best I've had quality and quantity were excellent.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I chose this small and friendly hotel pub in the Dales as I was meeting friends early for a challenging walk the next day. I was made very welcome when I arrived. I had already eaten as I wasn’t sure of my arrival time, but looking at the menu I regretted that choice. I sat in the bar for a while as I needed to use the free WiFi, which was fast and stable and found it a very comfortable and friendly place. The room was spotless and comfortable. I will definitely be back.

Pros: The room was beautiful, much larger than we were expecting, and had gorgeous & dramatic high ceilings. The food in the bar was delicious both at breakfast and tea time (I had the best sausage and mash, and the best eggs benedict of my life in this hotel!). The communal spaces are lovely, with a dramatic staircase and a relaxing sitting room, with views onto the grounds and fells. The location is brilliant, only a short drive to Malham and a short walk to Settle itself. A lovely place to stay that far exceeded my expectations.
Cons: There were no negatives! Lovely place.

Pros: Loved the Falcon Manor. Just the right size for us. We were upgraded to the honeymoon suite (The Rafters) which was a fabulous surprise. The room was enormous and the bathroom very modern and spacious. Just a wee warning the bed is high. I’m 5’1 and had to jump!! The bed was so comfy though, it was worth it. The staff were so friendly and so ready to help and the food was delicious with everything freshly made including the breakfasts
Cons: I liked everything about the Falcon Manor. I would highly recommend it

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The perfect English countryside manor hotel to stay in. I can see why this property is popular for wedding functions as it is completely picturesque. It was a pleasure to spend the night in the room we had given to us, with a four poster bed, beautiful view and very elegant yet homely style.
Cons: Service at breakfast was really not that warm. It's also a shame it can't be a buffet breakfast (for hot food).... but it's good quality food. Only that when you order the full breakfast , you only get one sausage, one egg etc... much smaller portions than you would expect but nevertheless it's nice that it's included in the price.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great find, lovely comfortable bed, really nicely done out rooms and shower. Good and plentiful food

7.1 Good
Pros: A busy and popular place. Bringing a neglected building up to scratch has obviously been a tough task clearly a great deal has been achieved and the welcome was warm, the staff helpful and the food OK.
Cons: Plumbing in bathroom was poor - cistern nevver went right off and hot tap was very difficult to turn off in washbasin. The public areas were cluttered with a very mixed assortment of bits and pieces on walls etc.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: lovely coffee + very good bread
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really nice welcome, great real ale selection and a breakfast challenge ! fantastic
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is very big. Very good quality. The location is great as lots of places are within easy reach
Cons: Signal is very poor. It even affected the TV
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The family room (room 1) was more than enough for our needs. The room could easily accommodate two adults and three teenagers if necessary. The staff are very friendly and the kitchen staff are great. Dinner provided hugely generous portions and very well cooked - none of us could finish a starter and main course. Whilst all of our choices were fantastic, I must single out the excellent steak and ale pie for particular praise. Breakfast is ordered in a nicely personal way with the chef coming to your table, listing all the offerings and taking your order. Good old fashioned bacon how it should be and lovely local sausages. As most hotel visitors know, mushrooms are often a disaster but not here! We will return.

Cons: That we had to leave :( wish we had booked to stay for an extra day, so much to do and explore. :)
7.5 Good
Pros: I have stayed at Brook House in Clapham many times over the years, watching it grow from a basic bandb into what it is today, a small comfortable guest house. It now has ensuite rooms, and the dining room has been smartened up a lot. The breakfast was very good, and the location on the edge of a pretty Dales village, en route to the Lakes, is idyllic and the peaty river flowing through the village is beautiful. Ingleton is accessible, as are Ingleborough caves and Gaping Gill, and the landscapes are stunning. Very paintable as well as walkable.
Cons: You can't check in until quite late in the afternoon as a notice on the door says there is no one there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cozy and clean BB, nice breakfast and very friendly host who waited us until midnight as well for late arrival

Pros: Location was close to friends we were visiting. It was a pity there was no on site parking but we knew that when we booked. A lovely hotel to spend a few days break with.
Cons: Extend the bathroom In room 10 as it was the smallest we have ever had anywhere. also we do not like my wife referred too as a guy, although The Lion is not on their own in this !!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Enjoyed the breakfasts and my rib eye steak and peppercorn sauce was excellent. We loved the log fire with coffee and the papers in the morning and the opportunity to work on and knit the 5 year old scarf by the fireplace was a great idea. My mother lived it!
Cons: With an elderly mother having no car park was a bit problematic. There is no lift in the hotel either, however the staff were extremely helpful and considerate and helped with the luggage to our room. Breakfast coffee was a bit disappointing.. possibly "plunged too early" before it was brought to the table. Thank you.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: location great, food excellent, staff 1st class .
Cons: pillars to soft.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location and despite being on the main street and sleeping with the window open during a down pour, surprising quiet. We were greeted by a friendly staff member who took us to our room and carried our suitcase. Very comfortable bed.
Cons: Although the hospitality tray was well equipped, it did lack milk; maybe someone had a bad day when restocking! The kettle lead was short and no plug near the table so had to boil the kettle on the floor.
7.9 Good
Pros: V helpful and charming staff - all of them.
Cons: Shower floor dangerously slippery - rubber mat should be laid down. Not possible to switch off bedside light without pulling out plug.

Pros: Everything was clean and comfortable and nice and warm, I loved the individual lights over each bunk. Toilet and shower were close at hand and brightly lit , it is good value for money .
Cons: Loud squeeky doors and noisy bed linen, could not get up to go to toilet with out waking other guests. Had to stand around for half an hour before I could get breakfast which was not good either. But I will be happy to stay again and self cater next time.

7.1 Good
Pros: The food was good likewise the staff, the area exceptional.
Cons: Despite booking a superior king room (£125 per night), where the photo of such a room clearly showed a chair, we did not have one, we are both more than 70 years old and the only place to sit was on the bed, not ideal to relax. I did bring this to the attention of the staff who mearly shrugged. Other lower cost rooms all had chairs and that just added to our disappointment. I booked this room to celebrate my wife’s birthday and the lack of chairs to relax in somewhat spoiled our stay.
7.5 Good
Pros: The breakfast was delicious, a lovely full english! Also complimented well with a choice of cereal.
Cons: Waiting time at the bar! I watched queuing customers walk out due to the lack of staff available.

Pros: Outstanding in all respects. I will definitely stay again and highly recommend this beautiful hotel to my friends.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect host, very attentive. Room very clean and cosy. The bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. Brilliant location.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The dressing gowns were sooo cosey
Cons: There was no breakfast to grab and go with in the morning which may have been helpful for the walk

Cons: Slight mix up on the rooms, but was resolved.

10.0 Excellent
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Clean comfortable room,on the top floor. Excellent room for the price we paid for it. One of the best cooked hotel breakfasts,I have tasted in a while. Staff friendly and helpful.

Cons: Everything excellent.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was comfy best sleep I’ve had at any b&b
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the Falcon Manor. Just the right size for us. We were upgraded to the honeymoon suite (The Rafters) which was a fabulous surprise. The room was enormous and the bathroom very modern and spacious. Just a wee warning the bed is high. I’m 5’1 and had to jump!! The bed was so comfy though, it was worth it. The staff were so friendly and so ready to help and the food was delicious with everything freshly made including the breakfasts
Cons: I liked everything about the Falcon Manor. I would highly recommend it
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Nothing - found it a very pleasant stay
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Stayed here just as a 1 night get away for myself . Staff were lovely and welcoming . My room was really nice clean and had everything i needed. Food was really nice in the evening and breakfast had a good choice and was lovely. Definitely will stay here again
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a great night stay at the Falcon Manor. Evening food was I best I had on a long time and the breakfast had a wide range of choice. The rooms where beautiful and spacious. Would definitely stay again
