Excellent location with outlook over the port. Hotel does not have much in way of facilities but is located in heart of town with plenty of facilities around hotel and nearby, though no extended trading hours for retailers around hotel. Plenty of restaurants in same complex as hotel and nearby. One staff member went out of her way to help us contact a tour operator. No wifi access in rooms. Wifi access is avaiable in guest lounge area on same floor as rooms.
Excellent service, very efficient, lovely views, perfect position to work in Docks
The staff is very helpful and friendly. I had a beautiful, spacious room with a wonderful view.
The reception staff were excellent particulary Megan who organised for us a wonderful trip at very short notice. Having a choice of breakfast locations close to the hotel was also very pleasant No
Large clean room, conveniently located with a large balcony overlooking the harbour front. Walking distance to restaurants and shops, close to the Penguin's at Boulders Beach. Staff friendly and helpful. Did not have its own dining facilities but used a facility downstairs, although this was not really a big problem.
Friendly staff, beautiful view!
friendly assistance in dining places
The view from the terrance of my room, the silence, the retaurant options close by..... Not precisely about the hotel but the transportation to get downtown or to get to the airport could be improved since the only option was a 60 USD taxi.....
Great location in Simonstown and beautiful view over harbour. Some confusion over balcony room but all sorted out - to be honest, the normal seaview rooms have a better view. Very comfortable - excellent breakfast at Bertha's too. Great location for heading out to explore the peninsula. Kalks Bay is more trendy if you want night life but Simon's Town is great for recharging the batteries. The nautical decor in the bathroom is a bit old-fashioned but it's clean and all works so no real problem.
exellent location just on the waterfront of Simonstown in the middle of the Historic mile, nice wiev over the False bay and also close to the Boulder Beach. Good value.
The hosts are super nice and helpful. The apartment is very comfortable. The garden is very nice and the view is amazing. Great place to relax after a day of touring. Very quiet. The kitchen does not have an oven. You need to drive everywhere. For us these were minor, but just things to be aware of.
Hearing the waves crash outside our window throughout the night made for a peaceful stay. The gentlemen who served us seemed to care about our welfare and happiness.
The view from the rooms are so beautiful and the decor is really great. I also liked the staff's helpfulness.
Highlights were Shark Cage Diving and Deep Sea Fishing N/A
Jimmy and Jackson, the staff who greeted us were very freindly and welcoming. The hotel has immediate acess to a beach cove and we actually swum when it was safe. that is rare. Also - the Cape of Good Hope is a twenty minute drive. So we found that to be an advantage too. omethn rare in that part of the The room facing the main road had not darkening shades, so you wake up with the sunrise (the room faces East). The bed was not comfortable and the proximity to the main road makes it inevitable noisy and early wake-up.
Very homely place, great breakfast and view, loved the owners they were very sweet.
The owners are so polite, we felt like being in a big and multicultural family. The Rooms are clean and very nice, the sight of the harbour is great.
The view was spectaculra A bit far from the town
Staff together with the view and atmosphere make this B&B a piece of piece and romance.
The view overlooking the bay and naval harbour was outstanding. The welcome and service was excellent, with our knowledgable host providing a wealth of helpful information. The room was attractive and spacious, the large balcony and the shared lounge were a great bonus. The breakfast was excellent.
We had an excellent stay at the Albatross Guest House. The hospitality was superb as were the awesome views from the terrace. The room was large and very comfortable and our only regret was that we did not stay longer as there was so much to do in the area. There were plenty of very good restaurants nearby. We found it best to drive to them. We would certainly go back again.
The owners were very helpful. The breakfast was fabulous. It is a bit hard to find.
Very tastefully furnished "honeymoon suite," comfortable bed with beautiful linen, gorgeous views from the balcony, spotlessly clean with daily servicing. Separate entrance ensured privacy to come and go as desired, and the suite's lounge with kitchenette was great. You need a car, or to use a taxi service to go anywhere. If the purpose of the vacation is to walk to the beach, restaurants, shops etc. then this guesthouse location isn't for you.
The proprietor and his wife were very helpful and welcoming, plenty of good suggestions, and Guest house.very relaxing
Very pleasant and helpful owners. Exceptional location for Cape of Good Hope National Park Excellent accommodation
The breakfast and staff has been so friendly
helpful staff. on the face of it the hotel seems excellent in all ways. the whole hotel has wooden flooring, unbelievably loud throughout the night, walls wafer thin so you can hear other guests without them shouting. quilt not big enough to cover bed.
the design of the room. The lock on the door of the room was poor.
Helpful freindly staff. No packing space in room, no bath, twin duvets on double bed, no fan in room, bottle of wine in room but no bottle opener, no parking available, cold breakfast.
Spa, Vine testing, dinner, relaxing No, the family and the staff has been very friendly and helped us alot of finding attractions...
Clean, friendly and very affortable - No
