Pros: From start to finish this was a very, very, enjoyable stay. The greeting we received on arrival, the cleanliness of the hotel and room was excellent. We had a meal in the evening on arrival which again was 5*. Breakfast served at the table in beautiful surroundings, again first class. We loved this hotel and will definitely be back. This is a beautiful hotel, extremely well run by the owners and staff.
Pros: We stayed we our 3 children in the “holiday house” as they call it, which is a separate house from the main building. The positive points first: The room is very spacious and functional, and the garden around is very well looked after. The neighbourhood is also absolutely lovely with superb houses and gardens. The staff were very helpful and welcoming.
Cons: And now what draw the appreciation down: the house must have been closed for the whole winter as there was a very strong dust smell which made us sneeze. The bathrooms setup was wobbly and I wouldn’t say up to my standard. All was clean, and we slept well but not up to an hotel level. The hotel rules are also very strict, and the reception is closed overnight and we couldn’t have breakfast the second day since we couldn’t let them know the day before. We had breakfast the first day and it was very good and fresh, but not extraordinary I would say.
Pros: All was v pleasant in lovely surroundings
Pros: Beautiful property fantastic views, lovely and clean, the staff where lovely and friendly
Pros: Very friendly reception and checkout. Excellent breakfast. Everyone had a smile and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is a very quirky building, built in 1913 but looking more like 1319 inside, with thick oak doors etc. The room was large, the bed very comfortable, and the bath (one of our main reasons to choose the hotel) was delightful after a long journey. We had a very peaceful night's sleep. If the weather is fine there is a large and pretty garden in which to sit. The ultimate accolade, we rerouted our return journey to stay there again.
Cons: Not the easiest place to find and definitely NOT for those without their own transport.
Pros: We have stayed in this area before so knew what we were heading into. This hotel was new to us and we loved it - plenty of character and very peaceful
Pros: Everything was brilliant. I booked this last minute whilst travelling, so glad I picked this place. Lovely peaceful location, such friendly helpful hosts who accommodated our dog and our gluten and dairy free needs with ease. The room was lovely and the property itself is wonderful. Top marks. This is how hospitality should be done and so rarely is. Thank you so much!
Cons: Nothing it was great. The only friendly warning to other guests staying in hot weather, is that the mosquito blind on the window doesn’t quite fully fit and the gap is enough for some to get in and for us to have got eaten alive! Sleep with the windows closed is my recommendation.
Pros: In a pretty location helpful staff & good breakfast.
Pros: Very nice area
Pros: Quiet, very friendly, excellent value for money and so good we rerouted our return journey to stay there again, and were greeted like old friends. A large quiet room with a really wonderful bed. The bathroom clean and with a deep tub to ease away the stresses of crowded motorways. A very good TV with channels from almost every European country. Breakfast was excellent and when we next stay here I think we will try their simple evening meals in the room. The local restaurants are very pricey and pretentious but this a very quiet upmarket area only just outside the bustle and noise of Ghent.

Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Event facilities at this hotel consist of conference space and a meeting room. Free valet parking is available onsite.
Pros: sunney day
Cons: This was our last stop on a 3 week holiday to Italy and expected to be the best. How wrong can one be. The hotel is located on a very busy country lane which is very dangerous. We were given a quiet room away from the hotel at the back of a car park. The hotel is set on the banks of a beautiful river which would have been great if you could actually sit out there. THIS IS A CONFRENCE HOTEL FIRST AND FOREMOST,with no reguard to their residents. The river area was all out of limits because of a large BMW sales event. The resturant manager was quite abrubt that we could not use the area. The food and drink is very expensive. When we asked for a water bowl for our black labrador dog whilst dining, the waiter came back with a bowl big enough for a small cat. Our quiet room turned out not to be due to a confrence room being set up early in the morning underneath our room which woke us up. When I made a complaint to reception about not being able to use the facilities I was fobbed of with the excuse that we could have sat outside in an area reserved for residents. Which turned out to be a few deck chairs right away from the main area of the hotel. Since we had booked this hotel six months previously I asked why they could not have informed us by email about the area being closed off since that was the main reason in booking from the photos. To which I had no reply. The most expencive hotel on our trip and the worst.
Cons: Noisy environment!!!! Bad isolation of rooms
Pros: The room was a good size with additional chairs and a small table and work desk and good Wi-Fi access.. The view from our room overlooked farmland and the river with plentiful wildlife visible early in the morning. We enjoyed a really stunning evening set meal although the drinks (G&T's and 2 glasses of wine were very expensive. Breakfast was plentiful and excellent oh prepared and presented. All of the staff from receptionist to serving staff were brilliant from arrival through to departure. We would certainly wish to stay again if in the area
Cons: Bar prices could have been more appropriate and much reduced. Parking g was plentiful but opposite the hotel and although off the beaten track it was quite a busy road to cross at times.
Pros: Ideal stop over on way to Germany.
Cons: All good
Pros: - great location in the countryside but close to the motorway - fantastic staff (they tried to organise us some food at the restaurant when we arrived at 9:30pm) - delicious breakfast in the morning
Cons: - rooms are not very soundproof and need more lighting
Pros: Staff pleasant.River location.
Cons: The room was comfortable but small and did not have tea or coffee making facilities. The price of the breakfast was excessive at 20 euros per head so we did not use.
Pros: Everything. The room was lovely. The meal we had was delicious. A very classy hotel in a beautiful setting.
Cons: It's difficult to find fault. This is being very picky but the service when ordering drinks was slow.
Pros: Location. Close to Gent but in a quiet community outside.
Cons: Could have done with tea/coffee making facilities in the room. No literature in the room to explain the hotels facilities and what was available to us.
Pros: Beautiful setting, wonderful lakeside seating area with pop up bar. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is wonderful and the room was excellent value for money
Cons: The pillows
Pros: Overall atmosphere of the hotel is great. It is on the bank of the small channel and it is really pleasant to stay in a chair in a nice garden and relax with some drink in a hand.

On sunny days, the terrace is open for guests to relax. The 13th century Ooidonk Castle is 3.3 km away by car. Free private parking is available on site.
Pros: This is a small privately owned hotel, the proprietors and staff were so friendly, helpful and even purchased an air conditioning unit for our room as the temperatures were in the high thirties. Excellent food, all homemade breads, pastries, jams and yogurts for breakfast. The dinner menu was extensive, all fresh ingredients and cooked to order, served piping hot and beautifully presented either outside in the garden or in the restaurant. The room was clean with very comfortable beds. Parking was either just outside or in a car park two minutes walk away. We also securely park our bikes on the premises. This hotel was a real find. I would totally recommend to anyone to staying at this smaller hotel as the service, value for money and whole experience surpassed our expectations greatly.
Cons: Absolutely nothing.
Pros: The location was very nice in a really pleasant area. The room was comfy with a good shower.
Cons: A noisy road was outside the room, parking was “haphazard”? WiFi was OK (just).
Pros: Location and proximity of Ghent, nice walks in the woods and near the river, proximity of several good restaurants.
Pros: Comfortable, clean with friendly service in a lovely historic building in a beautiful village not far from Ghent. So peaceful.
Cons: There was nothing to not like
Pros: The breakfast was excellent comprising several home made preserves and yoghurt. The service was very friendly. The evening meal was also good and served by very helpful staff.
Cons: My wife is not fully mobile so the stairs to the bedroom were a problem.
Pros: Amazing services and home made breakfast
Pros: Room upgrade and amazing ambience in restaurant and gorgeous stew.
Cons: Smoking in the rooms by previous occupants.
Pros: Nice and cozy old building. Cumfortable bed
Cons: Price to high for old interior and the very simple breakfast
Pros: The whole area is great, relaxing and peaceful. Natural food, great restaurants around, and our room was so vintage. Great bed. We rest a lot. Thanks a lot.
Cons: Our stay we could not find anything that we disliked.

Pros: Lovely breakfast in nice courtyard. Quiet area comfortable bed.
Cons: English instructions if no rely on door bell
Pros: It was quiet, clean, and the owners are wonderful people.
Pros: Lovely b&b in the country yard 10 minutes far from Ghent. Room is nice with nice interior. Breakfast is excellent and so the host Christine
Pros: Although hotel is located about 10km outside the city center of Gent, you won't be disappointed as it gives you that great feeling of silence and peace. We stayed in the loft room and it was nice and cosy - exactely what we expected. Breakfast was made for our prefered time, food was fresh and tasty. Also added benefit for your stay is free of charge parking space back of the house.
Cons: Big disappointment was internet connection speed (as I'm aware this is a huge problem all around Belgium) as it was almost impossible to open and read any news articles or even emails, so we used our mobiles as an hotspot. On the other hand this is not a business centre and you can survive few days enjoying each other company instead of browsing fake news :)
Pros: The room is very nice designed even a little small, but we liked it very much. Very clean and cozy. The very friendly and helpful hostess und her family. We got 2 bicycle for free to ride to Gent. The breakfast was very tasty and various. It was nice experience and beautiful rest.
Cons: Not found
Pros: Fantastic place - Christine & Wim felt more like Family than Hosts - we felt so relaxed & able to enjoy all the great facilities included - Pool, Garden & Bike Hire. Best Breakfasts especially the Omelettes. We will be back one day to takle the 'Ome-Ling-A-Dingas once more.
Pros: Super friendly, very clean, great breakfast.
Cons: A bit close to the road, hence a bit noisy.
Pros: The building was tastefully restored with good up to date facilities. A good healthy breakfast was provided with freshly pressed orange juice, fruit and yoghurt. Room lighting was nicely co-ordinated. It is a very good starting point to visit historical Gent. Local retaurants for evening meals are readily accessible by car, but a bit limited on Mondays
Pros: Amazing place where to relax. Hostess Christine is very nice and helpful. Room is small but really cozy and beautiful. Pool was clean and warm. Breakfast was tastey and with good choice. My little daugther wants allready to go back there :)
Cons: Everything was lovley
