Handed my car at IAH around 11 am, and the young lady (sorry can’t recall her name) was the personification of care, concern, help and empathy. Pick up was a disaster! “Laura” could not have been less helpful. Pushy, rude, refused to listen — all at 10pm after an exhausting flight. Took 45 minutes at the counter after waiting in line. Started off badly when she confirmed we were dropping off the car in France, and then asked if we were going to another country. What? Then didn’t want to give us a car in our confirmed category, tried repeatedly to sell us on a more expensive car, and on the LDW insurance, and on a diesel car, and on a manual transmission. Would not listen when we said no, no, no no. In the end, after this endless wrangling, voila, a suitable car appeared like magic! “Oh, it’s brand new, just became available”! At 10:45pm? I don’t think so. This lady needs better training, or SIXT needs to not incentivize their CS reps to engage in blatant bait-and-switch tactics to tired foreign customers (which would be 100% illegal in the US)! Keep in mind that we paid close to $700 euro for a 3 day rental. This is absolutely the worst car rental experience my wife and I have ever had, bar none.Reviewed Jun 8 2023

Alex was very helpful. I appreciate that he was willing to help. When I got into town I was supposed to pick up the car off site away from the airport which I wasn’t aware of. He was able to get me into a car at the airport which was a major convenience.Reviewed Jun 7 2023

They should have informed me about the complications with charging an electric car at a public station in France. One cannot just used a credit card as in other countries. You need to download various apps or, apply for their membership cards online. You might get stuck if you cannot make it to your first destination where you could load up on household current.Reviewed Jun 6 2023
