Valentina at the Sixt counter at Palermo Airport was amazing. She was so helpful and she really showed that she cared. No aggressive “upsell”. Just honest practical and valuable advice. Advice to North American drivers: be ready for a very different style of driving. If you are not used to standard transmission ( manual), aggressive driving habits, and very narrow streets then tbh take the train and taxis and walk where possible.
Didn’t honour the agreement sold by Kayak - tried to charge significant CDW on top
Cons:An obvious note on the website that says online full insurance is much cheaper than purchasing on the day. The high cost was unexpected, but I felt necessary, since I was driving in Sicily where no one follows road rules. Other than that, the experience was smooth and the car was lovely.
