The inspection at start of rental showed more than a dozen scratches and dents of the rental car. It transpired later on first day that car made noise when braking. Suspect damage or non existent brake pad at rear which limited the amount of travel in the car that we felt comfortable undertaking. Given the distance and difficulty of accessing a Sixt office from the place where we were staying, we did not attempt to change out the vehicle during the period of rental. Switch of main beam light did not work.
Cons:The car was in terrible mechanical conditions and I had no choice since it was prepaid and I was very short in time. The price was higher than average but car was simply not appropriate to be rented. The convertible roof hanged during open and close. Just before going back to the airport it hanged last time and it took me about 2 hours to finally close it. As I result I returned the car 2 hours later and then these guys tried to change me full additional day. It was funny and I said them that they can try, but I will dispute with citi credit department any additional charge, Conclusion - in the LCA choose another rental car provider, I have never seen such terrible service in US and even not in Asia ...
Pros:Managed to get a car eventually.
Cons:Ordered hire car a month before, on arrival all my details were missing, but they knew I had ordered a car? Car price was double the agreed price online and price I had agreed. Car was smaller and had to pay extra for a Focus to fit my bags. Hire car is ancient with 71000 kms and damaged all over.
We had great experience with SIXT Larnaka, the staff was polite and nice, the vehicle was great, very easy to return it. Excellent exprience.
Cons:We returned the car with a full tank (the meter was probably 1mm off the full mark given the distance traveled from gas station to drop off). They charged around EUR 20 as a penalty whereas filling it up would have only cost EUR 2-3. Followed up with customer service by they weren't helpful.
Rates are very high. With full insurance we have paid nearly 1,000 Euros for 7 days. Nabil Kakish
Pros:All good, Everything as it should be. Got larger car than expected and all clean and tidy. 2015 car but low kms.
Cons:As with most SIXT cars, they are all a bit older than expected and very basic. The usual tyre noises as you drive due to the age and kms the car has travelled.
