Sitting at the terrace of restaurant after breakfast
The location was perfect. The Atlantic waves crashing beside the hotel felt like being on a ship without the motion! Heaven. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable but the staff brought us around 8 different rooms until we found a comfortable bed. As we were staying for 2 weeks it was important to us. They need to address this as I would mention it to anyone who is interested in staying. Town very good as a base for touring. We were there last 2 weeks in September and restaurants very quiet some closed for holidays.
excellent location, good breakfast, staff was very friendly and helpfull use of the outdoor poor was not included in price
The position of the hotel. The quality of the rooms and the balcony.. Staff friendliness and the history of the hotel.
The balcony with the beautiful view of the ocean. The restaurant food was not that great, and the staff there not very helpful. I would just avoid it, there are lots of places to go nearby.
posisiobn position of hotel
Without a doubt the situation. The room was adequate but rather dowdy. There was a good choice for breakfast but the food which should have been hot was only lukewarm.
close to the town center no parking, dark and loud room
Central location overlooking the sea. We were a little dissapointed with the quality of the dinner at night -self service/canteen with little option available.Vegetables were not hot and seemed to have come from the deepfreeze.Cleanliness of the corridors could be improved andwere not cleaned (5TH floor) during our short stay
Attentive staff, Clean pool area and fantastic views, the town really is worth taking a good walk around then eat fish or seafood pretty much anywhere. Car parking is the most obvious problem, and not only is there not enough but non residents take up limited resources
Comfort, the friendly and helpful staff. Excellent golf course The golf course was expensive to play - should be a bigger discount for residents
Beautiful environment At 8pm, the restaurant did not accept more people, and since no restaurants exist around the hotel, we had to order room service. No activities for children other than outside swimming pool (children only allowed in inside pool from 11am to 15pm).
Very friendly personel
Enjoyed taking horseriding lessons at equestrian centre There was only one restaurant open at the club house during our stay at the hotel. We were not advised of this before arriving at the hotel. The hotel is isolated and is difficult to go outside to other restaurants.
I enjoyed the stay and the massage at the SPA was great! Ok, you know that you gonna pay more than on a regular hotel, but the room was big, the breakfast giant on variety and tasty, and the people were very keen to help. The spa pool could had warmer water, also the outside pool, where the water was cold. More free amenities in the room for the price you pay. The check in could be more organized.
The hotel offered an upgrade to a suite. The suite was excellent. Some comments made by the receptionist. The room was a little cold.
It is a beautiful facility set in a wonderful location. The hotel rooms were hot and they would not correct the problem. We had great difficulty sleeping and left very dissapointed in the management of the hotel. They could have made the rooms cooler but chose to save money on electicity. I have stayed in this hotel twice, once in the winter and now in Sept. I will not come back!
Very comfortable and good location for our overnight stop. Evening meal and breakfast very good. Overall good value for money. lack of staff in the bar areas - had to go to reception to ask for someone to service us
The Hotel was ideal for access to the Moterway Network
staff very helpful
The price and the location.
Good hotel, good breakfast.
The hotel is well located only a few minutes north of the Lisbon airport. It offers an economical way to begin or end a stay in Portugal.
Was a very comfortable hotel good location and great breakfast
The easy acces to Lisboa and the airport. The location of the hotel itself is on the edge of the village and in the middle of a traffic junction. You don't notice that in the hotel.
Very convenient for Lisbon Airport. Parking. Close to railway however the trains were not running during the night so our sleep was not compromised
It is a great location, close to the city but located in a small town. The room was very modern, comfortable and clean. It was difficult for the kids to see the pool in the backyard and find out that it was not part of the hotel and therefore they were not able to use it.
Very nice hotel, modern design, very clean, friendly staff, and excellent breakfast (choice and breakfast quality definitely exceeds Portuguese average standards). Nice surprise was that the hotel even has a garage available for its guests. Good value for money!
New hotel with modern design!
Although had to leave early the next day and was unable to have breakfast, the hotl prepared a nice box with some bread, cake, yogurt and water. Room was very nice, lots of room and stylish.
Large and modern room and bathroom (bathroom a bit dark though), offering value for money. Reception was friendly and helpful on one side (made telephone call for us), although on the other side it was not possible to have an early breakfast, while another group did have early breakfast when we arrived at the breakfast room (might have been communication?). Cental location in Torres with nice view and good spacious parking facility at very close distance. They offer an excellent dinner. Very poor isolation: every word and laughing of smokers and taxi drivers outside can be heard until deep in the night (but church bells stop at night). No English news channnels on TV.
The room was like brand new, all the appendages were in pristine condition. Very modern, very nice. There is no 'onsite' car parking, there is a hotel car park, but this is an underground facility around the next block.
the hotel was wonderful. located centrally in Torres Vedras it offered clean luxurious rooms along with beautiful little bars and a fairly decent restaurant. step outside its doors and experience the lovely little town of torres vedras which allowed one to absorb a real sense of portugal. the torres vedras park was lovely for having a stroll or enjoying a nice run. i had no complaints about the hotel, it was lovely!
The cleanliness of our room and the breakfast two separate beds
The cleaness of the room and the fact of being a remodeled hotel. Excelent location in the city center.
Clean and quiet. Friendly staff. No minibar in room.
Unfortunately, I had arrived late from a BA flight (2 hours) and did not really experience the evening - but the hotel reception staff were fine.
Very well presented rooms, extensive & good quality breakfast. Very clean and efficient hotel, very good value for money. Will definitely stay again as a transit stop when having a late flight into Lisbon.
The room was spacious and well decorated, The free parking is also a plus.
Very good clean room. Far enough from Lisbon
Very good hotel with nice pool area but a bit far from everything. The distance is compensated by the good price and the free parking. Lisbon centre is a 15 min car ride depending on traffic.
ideal overnight stay before flying home after a holiday. able to relax by the pool. located in an industrial area, unable to go for an evening stroll.
good location, calm, good prices, excellent quality in their facilities, nice and competent staff, free parking outside and inside which is excellent as its location is near of the city centre although its suroundings are very calm. nice views from some rooms.
food and attendance tv with sound and picture problems!
The room was cleane and good for our family with 2 babys. It was a bit difficult to finde the hotel.
Hotel first class Hard to find
You can see the sea in your room All was wonderfull
Close to the beach and sea view from the room
The view was perfect. We had a great room with balcony. The breakfast staff was poor and to young. They didn't know how to handle it.
Perfectly acceptable beach hotel. I was there for only one night as I continued my tour around Portugal. It provided a nice way-station.
nice lobby area, internet use so kids were happy the pizzeria was abysmal. the male staff were rude, ignorant, rough. order did not come as requested. got many mosquito bites. felt sorry for the young lady who worked there as she was nice. food wasnt too bad
Thw seaview was fantastic.
Nice rooms, ocean view Rather far to Lisboa.
Right on the beach Very noisy from the sea when windy though. Quite basic but then only 2 star.
Fantastic, there is a huge window with open views to the sea and the beach is very beautiful, the room is a little old fasgioned and so is the bathroom but it was worth every minute. The breakfast was also veery very good. The furnishing in the room was a little old fashioned and the bathroom needs an urgent renovation, veru verey low sink. But worth the experience.
Excellent position overlooking the beach.
Residencial O Forte is a cosy hotel, with a familiar feel, run by a very nice couple, which was always very helpful and friendly. We stayed for two nights and had a very pleasant experience. The room was clean, the breakfast was simple but enjoyable and the location is perfect. If you don't plan to use the car, you have two beaches at walking distance. If you have a car, you can go 10 Kms south and enjoy the wonderful beach of Santa Cruz. For people who have problems with moist, the location near the sea makes it almost impossible to not notice it, even inside the room. This may be a bit uncomfortable for some.
Hotel is very attractive inside with beautiful staircases and decoration, a credit to the owners. Great view from the balcony over the river and beach. Really friendly owners made us feel very welcome.Super cafe just 200 yds away overlooking the sea. Only problem was pillows were too hard.
The surroundings provide a good variety of experiences, either the beach and the ocean, or the lovely mountain vistas and walks.
I liked the location of the Recidencial O Forte, the sea views from my room were excellent, the owners were friendly and very helpfull, The food at the Master Cook restaurant was to die for, highly recomended. This is not a dislike only a comment, I would have liked more choice for breakfast,
The staff / owners? didn't speak English or French but they seemed to be nice people. The location is good next to the coast. This is a very very modest place to stay so the value for money isn't correctly established in our opinion. The room was humid and cold although we were there on july.
Cleaniness of rooms and hassle free stay plus proximity to beach. Took a while to organise wiFi
The beach access and the view, and the breakfast bread. the wind pounding on the windows, had to have the blinds down so it would not make noice (it the windows was hitting the windowframes).
location is excellent.Owners/staff were very friendly.
Family run Hotel very helpful and friendly our second stay in this good value for money hotel
Warm friendly welcome. Basic service/facilities but perfectly comfortable and at this time of year it was a real bargain.
Helpful staff. Excellent location. Pleasant bedrooms. Street noise. No lift. Safety deposit box in wardrobe was not attached to anything so could simply be carried away. Some bathrooms don't have ventilation and smell a bit musty.
Great location in the town and great hotel staff. Very clean and well presented rooms. Highly recommend.
The reception staff was very friendly and helpful even with our strange requests such as for a dance course. The location is really right in the middle of Ericeira.
The residencial vinnus made our stay in lisbon to something very special! The staff was so friendly, the room was tiny and comfortable with a nice view into the town. Only 1 minute to the lovely main square and 5 minutes to the marina which impressed with the famous furnas rocks - a place to sit, relax and watch the wild water. We used ericeira as our base to plan a lot of trips to the atlantic coasts and to lisbon. It was a great pleasure to stay at the vinnus!
Very central to all the amenities in the town, and the staff were extremely helpful.
wonderful view on the ocean, big swimming pool
Nice location next to the sea. Nice buffet breakfast incluted in the room price. Rooms should be renovated. Bit old looking.
Hotel was virtually deserted, therefore at least very quiet. No coffee and tea making facility in the room. Standard rooms do not have air conditioning. Hotel very run down and very basic - needs a good renovation as it must have been a grand hotel at some point.......
Location and swimming pool Restaurant too limited, very overpriced. Double beds only in rooms without balcony.
the ocean view
The hotel has a superb location. The indoor pool is extremelly good. The hotel needs renovation to keep the level it had when it was new. You can tell that the facilities were upper end in the past but they now they feel old and worn out.
The very pleasent location, the beach and swiming pool Is an old hotel and I think repair maintenance is needed
The price and the location... the pool also nice... The room temperature control and the hours of the breakfast (to late).
I attended the Jumping taking place on the hotel territory. I have enjoyed the extraordinary view over the Ocean. I really have to say that the breakfast was great with a large variety of products for the hotel category especially the crepes/pancakes served for breakfast and prepared "à la minute" by the cook.
Definitly the location: very romantic! The pool was also lovely! The dinner buffet was unecessarly expensive: 22euros for a 2 dishes buffet!!They should have an alternative.Specially because there arent any restaurantes around. Also in my opinion the hotel is geting a little old, they should refresh it with new colours!
Very pleasant atmosphere. Family owned & run. Very clean. No tea & coffee making facilities in room. Pool was a disappointment as it was not very big.
Comfortable and friendly Pity the pool wasn't available
The comfort was really under our expectations and we thought that it is too expensive. For example there was no way to have a toast...at breakfast. The situation is practical for it is easy for someone coming from Porto to find the place even if the sign of tourism rural was not that visible.
Very clean rooms. The mattress wasn't very comfortable. There wasn't any "do not disturb" sign to hang on the door.
yes, the breakfast was poor
Staff very helpful. Location excellent. Great value.
Cleanliness, friendliness, Wi-Fi not working
The room was very spacious and clean. The staff were very friendly and spoke good English. Breakfast was a littel basic but still represented terrific value for money.
Beautiful rooms, very clean No internet available while it was promised
A big room and the location was excellent!
parkingfacility is ok when everyone parks in a correct way. Rooms on 3th floor most quiet.
The service was absolute great. The breakfast was good and the service personal at the restarant where doing everything to make our stay confortable. For me a 10! The only thing what was crazy was the internet prices, but they now but management do not want to change it !! Well , 30€ for an day internet, think management !!
The hotel staff were great. The rooms (and other areas of the hotel) need a completely new decoration. Urgently. The main entrance of the hotel has no access to wheelchairs or baby pushchairs. I had to carry my baby's pram up the stairs.
