This motel is imbued with history, dating back to the 1960s when it was still two buildings. Back then, they were built during the tourism boom following the Winter Olympics at Squaw Valley, and only combined in the 1980s into one building. The hotel offers you a unique accommodation amidst the buzz of Lake Tahoe and the Heavenly Village and creates a modern setting within a well-established hotel.

On some evenings, the hotel hosts s’mores around the fire pits, which guests can join for free. Outside the hotel, you can find even more entertainment at the Heavenly Village with a movie theater, ice rink, and mini golf, among more. On Lakeside Beach, guests can take advantage of the beach volleyball court, as well as the picnic tables. At the Lakeside Marina on the beach, guests can go kayaking, jet skiing, or paddle boarding.

When you come from Reno by car, it will take about 1h of driving to reach The Coachman Hotel. Get on I-80 East and then follow I-580 South to US-50 West via Carson City. Follow the road until you turn right onto Lake Parkway, which merges into Pine Boulevard, on which the hotel is located. Coming from the direction of Sacramento, take US-50 East to Pioneer Trail and turn right onto Pioneer Trail. Turn right onto Lake Tahoe Boulevard and opposite the Heavenly Village, turn left onto La Salle Street. Then turn right onto Manzanita Avenue to reach the hotel.

In total, the hotel provides guests with 900 sq ft of conference and meeting space. Their main conference room has a private break-out room and connects to the 1,000 sq ft outdoor rooftop terrace. For your convenience, the facilities include a fully equipped kitchenette with a glass door fridge and draft taps for various beverages. The Community room is also a great option with a large community table for 10 people. Alternatively, there is the Intimate Meeting Suite with a 300 sq ft living room, flipcharts, and two separate bedrooms.

The Coachman Hotel is happy to accommodate two pets per guest of any size in one of their pet-friendly rooms. In order to maintain the hotel in an immaculate and impeccably hygienic state, they charge approximately $50 per stay for pets.
