Heavenly Inn Lake Tahoe: A Disappointing Experience My stay at Heavenly Inn Lake Tahoe was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this establishment falls far short of even the most basic expectations for a motel. Abysmal Check-In Process The lack of a proper reception area is appalling. Guests are forced to ring an outdoor bell and wait, exposed to the elements, just to check in or out1. This unprofessional setup sets the tone for the entire stay, leaving guests feeling unwelcome and neglected from the start. Misleading Representation The rooms are a far cry from the deceptive images displayed on their website and other booking platforms. Upon entering, I was immediately struck by the dark, fusty-smelling interior that bore little resemblance to the bright, clean spaces advertised5. This blatant misrepresentation is not only disappointing but feels borderline fraudulent. Unsanitary Conditions The cleanliness of the rooms is seriously questionable. The persistent musty odor was so overwhelming that it clung to all my belongings, necessitating a thorough washing of all my clothes upon returning home. Pros. Short walking distance to the resort

Cons. I didn't know I had to hang a tag on the knob outside the door in order for housekeeping to enter room, leave clean towels, make bed etc. It would be great to inform guest at "check in" about the rules to cleaning. Just sucks coming to my room after a long day of skiing expecting the room to be tidied up and to have clean towels to take a warm shower and finding out it's just the way I left it.

Pros. The air conditioning works great. The whole place was updated and the decor was Modern. The kitchen was awesome especially for a family with a small child. The location was optimal. Everything you could want is in the area.

Cons. Hard beds. Really hurt my back and my hips but the pillows were nice.
